Yasashi stood at the edge of the shopping district. The transition between residential and commercial was at it's starkest here; homes spread out on one side of the four lane street. On the other, a large plaza centered with a fountain, stalls, and vendors. Beyond it, an archway leading into the main shopping district and the wonders within. He found himself just past the fountain, standing somewhere along the way in with a pensive expression on his face. He once again hadn't thought it through when he'd invited Sagi out to do a little walking and shopping. Their shared interest in books had been inspiration enough; he'd wanted to share what he'd experienced with that book she suggested.
"...that said..." He murmured to himself.
He hadn't considered how much this seemed like a date. Not until he was getting dressed and he asked Seiki for advice and she demanded why he needed clothing advice for her...and it snowballed from there. Yasashi looked down at himself; fitted blue jeans and a brown belt, heavy dark boots like the ones he commonly wore when doing hero work were comfortable for him these days so he stuck with that. He wore a two-button dark-purple polo on top with a skin-tight shirt beneath to go up to his wrists. It breathed well enough, despite the heat, and covered his scars. A simple necklace hung around his neck and he wore a carefully tuned up wristwatch. Combined with his hair combed back and wrestled into some semblance of control; he almost passed as someone datable. Or at least that's how he joked with himself.
More important than his outfit, of course, was the small item he held in his right hand. He had gotten a good look at Sagi's cellphone and had picked out a cell-phone charm while he was coming back from a training session with Red Horn the other day. It was simple, small, cute, a black cat, but it looked like it had a little skull mask on it. Yasashi hadn't told her about his quirk yet but he thought she'd like the aesthetic. He chuckled when he pulled it a bit closer to his chest. He really hoped she would like it.
He didn't have long to wait though, his ears perked when he heard his name and he looked up to take in whatever future he was walking into for the next few hours. At first he didn't see anything, the crowd was too thick with a group of tourists stepping into the shopping district, but then, right there, RIGHT THERE! His mouth went dry; I think this might be a date... He murmured to himself. | TAG WORDS NOTES

"It's not like this is a date" The young Inagwaro girl grumbled to herself as she looked to and from her phone at the invitation sent to her by Yasashi. He had wanted to meet her at the shopping district nearby but hadn't really explained why. her inner monologue was thrilled at the chance to see him again, but her mind began fighting back with the logic of why she was here.
"I don't have time to be here making friends... i need to make my way into Thundershock's inner circle... and Yasashi doesn't have anything to do with that... he goes to U.A for crying out loud... what if he finds out about me... no way, nope. We're just going to do some shopping. No harm in making connections right." She had to goad herself as she hoisted up the lower half of her outfit. It was like a beige colored skirt that went up from her belly button to her upper thigh. It was placed on top of black shorts that covered any more sensitive areas. She then sat herself on the edge of her makeshift bed and pulled up thigh high black socks, placed her black gloves up to her biceps and then began to put her shoes on.
Her mind and her heart (lust?) continued to argue with one another, struggling to understand the real reason why Sagi was going through with this. Sagi had never been on a date, let alone hung out with a boy of Yasashi's... stature. She was shaken, yet also determined to go through with this.
The young girl stood up once more to look at herself in the mirror, analyzing her outfit through it's broken cracks and missing pieces. She drew her face close, fixing up her glasses and her hair before letting out a heavy sigh. She would then grab her bag and head out the door of the shabby motel she had chosen to squat in. She locked the door behind her, and before her inner self could argue with herself anymore she made her way towards the train station.
It wasn't long before Sagi found herself at the shopping district, looking around herself nervously as she tried to spot Yasashi. However, it wasn't until Sagi made it to the entrance of the district did she spot him waiting for her by the fountain. She raised her hand above her head, waving him down with a forced smile on her lips.
"Yasashi!" She called out to him, sucking in a deep breath as she lay her eyes on him. She had to bite her lower lip as a blush quickly spread across her face. There it was again, that feeling! It was like her heart was skipping a beat, like the blood in her veins was trembling below her skin! The moment her eyes stopped on him they were already ravishing the unsuspecting boy.
"I see you uh... found my number. hehe" She couldn't help but chuckle at the thought that her little ploy work. She did want to see it again, to say screw the mission and start a new life away from the corruption of the Inagwaro Clan... but she couldn't quite do that yet, so she had to settle somewhere in between... She had to at least start by making a friend.

She called out to him the moment they made eye contact. He raised his massive right arm and waved back to her, showing his teeth with one of the biggest smiles he could manage. He hadn't realized how excited he was until he saw her again. He scratched his nose and laughed; "Look who it is!" He called; "Good to see you too!" He snickered when she drew in close enough to speak. He flushed and scratched his nose again, looking up and to the right with a noncomittal smile before taking her in.
She was... stunning. He hadn't expected an outfit like that. There was a functional aesthetic to it that also amplified everything pleasant about how she looked. He wondered for a moment if it was also some kind of training gear given how easy it looked to move in, but he decided not to pry. His off-white eyes lingered for a few seconds before he cleared his throat; "You look great!" He offered, still not so great at the whole charm thing. She wasted no time teasing him about the tactic with his phone, though. He laughed and scratched the back of his head. Of course she would.
"A-aha, you got me good," He looked back at her mischievously; "I have to say, I was not expecting that!" He let out a booming laugh and put his hands on his hips. He blinked and then remembered what he wanted to do. He took her hand without thinking much of it and put the charm in her palm. "I got this for you," He said, showing her the small charm of a cat sitting with a little skull mask on it's face, it was tied with a simple silver chain. "It's a phone charm, I heard from a friend that they're popular," He said with another nervous glance away before realizing he was holding the back of her hand and pulled away, heat bursting on his face.
"A-ahahah! Sorry!" He coughed and cleared his throat, taking a deep breath. He had to calm his nerves or he was not going to get through this! He cleared his throat and gestured back at the shopping district behind him. People were coming to and from the place and it was rather packed and busy. Even so, he was eager to do a little shopping. He wanted to get a few things and maybe find out a bit more about his new friend. "So, have you been shopping here before?" He asked, resting his hands on his hips and keeping a partial eye on the crowd, habit from his hero training, but his focus and attention were all on Sagi. "I've been a few times, mostly for cooking utensils and supplies," He beamed.
Again, he should probably think before he speaks, but that was something that Yasashi rarely did when he was in a good mood. Unfortunately, all one can do is just try to keep up with his pace. | TAG WORDS NOTES

"Oh uh, thank you." She said with a smile as a flush of red crossed her cheeks at the compliment. Honestly she had to improvise the outfit a lot with bits of her clothes and of her gear. She'd actually stolen the necklace around her neck about a week ago as well... she just hadn't found a good pawn shop that was safe to use yet so she could get the money for it. best just keep that tidbit to herself. Instead she just kept up her smile, chuckling when he admitted to being caught off guard by her slipping him her number.
"Well after having such a nice coffee date with someone like you, I couldn't just let you go could I?" She teased him, nudging him slightly before he took her hand into his. woah woah woah woah what was going on! Her face went beat red as he took her hand in his own, placing the charm into it which had her heart racing at a million miles an hour. When she was finally released to look at the charm in her hand, she blinked and had to catch her breath before speaking.
"What's this?" She asked, and he promptly answered. A phone charm? oh one of those dangly things she'd seen her friend back home with... not really her thing as they tended to make noise which could give her away when she was working. This one though was kinda cute... a little cat with a skull mask on it which was a pretty interesting concept. It didn't have anything that would make noise, so she pulled out her phone and slipped it onto the case.
"It's adorable, thank you. You didn't need to get me anything, I didn't get you anything." Was she supposed to? Crap she should of grabbed something on the way here... they were going shopping though so maybe she could just grab him something then? At least then she might have a better idea of his interests. Crap crap crap... He didn't seemed to be fazed by it at least, so maybe she was wrong? Instead he just asked if she'd been to the shopping district before and she shook her head.
"Nope, first time. I'm originally from Shinigawa and the shopping district isn't quite as big there... hold on, you cook?[.i]" She asked with intrigue laced into her voice. There was no way that someone as big and burly as Yasashi cooked. These guys were usually the jock types right? She already thought him impressive to like books... but if he cooked too...
Well she caught herself drooling and quickly turned her head to wipe the evidence away.

He scratched his nose and turned toward the shopping center, his hand on his hip. He looked into the air and tried not to think about how flustering that moment had been. "It's just a charm, a thank you for helping me find that book," He said, scratching the back of his head and stretching his powerful arms and back for a moment to work out the embarrassment. Heaven help him if he was going to figure out what to say after that point; he had never done anything like this before and he was damn near ready to have a heart attack. Thankfully she was kind enough to offer him a get out of jail free by adding to the conversation.
"You're from Shinagawa?" He asked as he began to walk toward the archway that lead into the shopping center before beaming back at her with a big smile; "My father taught me to cook, I cook for the students at the dorms every day!" He laughed, "BAHAHA! It's a past time of mine!" He glowed with enthusiasm as they passed by the first store; this one had some cooking supplies and aprons as well as other general products. He stopped and peered at the ingredients listed to be on sale at the window and glanced at her; "What's your favorite meal? Mine's honey glazed ham!" He laughed and made something of a stupid face, drooling over the thought of honey flavored things.
He wiped his mouth abruptly and glanced at her, wide eyed, realizing that he'd already zoned out and their 'date' had just begun. He needed to get away from the cooking supply store if he was going to survive! "B-but we can talk more about food later! There are restaurants here! We can eat after shopping! BA-HAHAHA!" He laughed off his nerves. | TAG WORDS NOTES
