The week had not been a fun one, and Misa swore that it wasn't her fault at all. Not that anyone seemed to believe her at all, but... well, we can start from the beginning here. It had been a Friday like any other, and Misa had just finished her classes and her workouts for the day. She needed something to unwind with and frankly, TV and video games weren't cutting it. She needed something that was distracting enough to really take her mind off the tough week she had endured. This was the exact thing that school clubs were made for, right? That's what she thought at least. It had started like any other trip to the cooking clubs reserved room. She brought ingredients that she had stored in the dorm fridge (with her name, of course) and she started getting to work. It was a simple enough dish. Spicy salmon with a side of chips, but that doesn't really matter much now does it? What matters is what came after she started the burners.
It happened quickly, and the counselors told her she was probably imagining it, but she is sure that she saw what looked like... a glowing little creature? She wasn't sure what it was exactly. It was about the size of a golf ball but the sucker was fast! It could jump too! Before she knew it, it had gotten to her pan and the next thing she knew the sprinklers were on and there were a few black scorch marks on the ceiling. Misa cried when they blamed her of being irresponsible. She didn't do it!
Of course, they told her she couldn't cook without supervision anymore. News spread pretty quickly, and she was sure some people knew her as the girl that almost burned the school down (a total exaggeration even if it WAS her fault!)
That brought her to today. It was now Sunday, and she had finished her studying and training again and wanted to unwind. She went to the cooking club room, but knew better than to start cooking with nobody here. There was a camera, but it wasn't high quality enough to spot the creature. If there even was a creature. She was starting to think she had made it all up. With a sigh, she stood. Seemed nobody was coming to cook today so she might as well just leave-
WAIT!
She spotted it, in the corner of her eye! The little glowing bug! It spotted her too, and for a moment they were at a standstill. The bug on one end of the hallway, frozen, her too scared it would vanish to even breathe. She wasn't even thinking about the possible danger. Until...
"Hey! Get over here!"
She ran, and the bug did too! She followed it, but after a sharp turn lost her footing and fell, hitting her butt hard on the floor. She wasn't sure anyone was even in the area, but yelled anyway. It was worth a shot, right?
"Someone get that bug!"

It wasn't a place that Karen passed by often. Most of the time she only ever ventured near the club room wing of the school building for an errand. Sometimes it was looking for a teacher or student who was known to be hanging around in the area. Other times it was just a shortcut to her intended destination. The only clubs she was currently a member of were the sports and martial arts clubs, both of which held their meetings and activities in rooms located near the training facilities. Today she was here on request. While dropping off some class papers at the teacher's lounge, she was asked if she could pickup something from the the cooking club room. It was a Sunday so most people were off. She just happened to be one of the few students actually on campus. Of course she had no reason to decline, so there she was casually making her way to the club room when she suddenly heard the unmistakable sounds of someone running in the halls. Perhaps there were other students around after all. A few seconds later, there was a shout from an unfamiliar voice saying something about catching a bug. A bug? True enough just a few feet ahead of her, a small glowing thing skittering on the floor as though it was fleeing from someone. She wondered if this was the bug in question, mostly because it didn't look like any bug at all that she was familiar with. It was small enough to catch by hand, but would it really be safe to do so? But she couldn't just ignore a plea for assistance. She supposed this probably counted as a minor emergency anyway. The small critter was fast, for a bug. But against the speediest student in her year, the little guy might as well be moving in slow motion in Karen's eyes. With one swift movement she would silently dash forward to intercept it, bending down to scoop it up with her hand before cupping both her hands together to completely seal off its escape. As a precaution, she had activated her aura just on her hands. There was no telling what the unknown glowing bug was capable of so better safe than sorry. As for the owner of the voice, they were probably a bit further ahead. Were they held up by something? Anyway with the bug 'secure', she decided to go say hello.

Misa could tell that she was going to lose the chase against this stupid bug! She quickly tried to pull herself to her feet, a slight bruise on her hip from the fall but that would heal soon enough. One of the perks of a regeneration quirk, right? That, and it made minor workout injuries not even an inconvenience. No time to dwell, though, Misa had to follow the bug! She moved with a slight limp from the bruise, towards where she had seen it go but before she could a newcomer came from around the corner.
"O-oh! Hi there, uhm, sorry, have you seen a suspicious looking bug?"
A quick assessment of the stranger made Misa look at her cupped hands hopefully. She narrowed her eyes and started at it intensely. Yeah, this girl had definitely caught the stupid little thing!
"Be careful with that, it's... capable of things. My name is Misako Suzuki, but you can call me Misa! I'm a first year. That little troublemaker has been harassing me lately. He got me in trouble with the cooking club... maybe you heard about the loser that started the fire? Hey, it's me, the loser! I didn't do it, though! It was him!"
She pointed accusingly at the bug in her hands. She needed something they could put it in to capture it before it decided to let off another flare of fire. If it did, Misa was sure that the girl wouldn't get hurt bad. The flames weren't very hot, nothing worse than a lighter, they were just high and flashy enough to make a real scene. Not that Misa wanted her to feel that anyway, just thinking ahead was all.
"I'm going to get a jar, uhm, come with me! We can take care of this."
Karen might notice that the bug in her hands was getting warm and agitated.

The owner of the voice was a girl who introduced herself as a first year. Karen didn't recognize them so this was probably true. She had not had many chances to interact with the new underclassmen so far so she was definitely pleased with this unexpected encounter. Still despite not knowing their face, their name was still rather familiar. She had not changed her habit of looking up the class reps beforehand of the the various classes across the years in case she ever needed to chat with someone for official business. Misako Suzuki was on that list. "Nice to meet you Misa-kun~. I'm Karen Hoshizora, a second year. You are... 1-A's Vice President correct? I'm 2-A's VP.She had to pause for a bit to think when the first year mentioned something about a fire in the cooking club. Frankly accidents happened in UA all the time so she didn't exactly look into it too much. It probably wasn't good to be desensitized to this sort of thing but that just goes to show what kind of environment this school was. It's hard to say if getting used to it was a good sign. Anyway from what the girl said, it seemed it was the bug that was actually at fault. This made her a bit more cautious as she was holding said culprit in her hands. True enough she could feel it skittering frantically and growing warmer. She agreed that they ought to find a safer way to contain it. "Well it's a good thing we caught the bug responsible then. Let's go look for that jar."In the meantime, Karen made sure to focus on the aura around her hands. She wasn't too keen on getting burned but at the same time she was fairly confident of her shield. Unless this bug was something truly dangerous then it ought to hold up well. It was still better to find a proper container though. She followed Misa in the hopes that they locate a suitable one soon.

Misako was a little surprised that Karen actually knew of her, even if they were both class vice presidents. The studious paper quirker was caught at a disadvantage, as she hadn't really taken the time to study the names of her upperclassmen. Even the presidents and vice presidents. Something she just now made a note to change as soon as she got some more free time on her hands. Next time she met someone like Karen, she would be sure to know at least their name and rank, if nothing else!
"It's amazing to meet you too, Karen-san! Lucky, as well, that I'd run into an experienced president! Well, vice, but there's always next year yeah? Once we get this guy a proper home maybe you can give me a few tips and tricks on how to be a better vice president? O-only if you have the time, that is!"
Despite her talking, Misa was still moving quickly to search for something to keep the fire bug in. It didn't slip her notice that Karen seemed to completely gloss over the fire story. Had she already heard it, or was news like that not as exciting as Misa thought it was? It was a super hero school, after all. It was likely there were explosions and fires semi frequently.
"Ah ha!" Misa sounded off, producing a jar from a cupboard inside of a room that looked like... maybe a science club? Was there even a science club? Misa wasn't sure, and didn't care enough about the studies to look into it. "Here, throw him in here. This should hold him. Then maybe we can get him to a teacher. We were lucky he went off in the cooking club room, if he'd found his way into the dorms before he exploded there might have been a serious problem..."
But there was no point in dwelling on could haves or would haves, so Misa just shrugged the idea off and flashed a happy smile at Karen again. Hopefully the older girl would have a better idea on exactly what they should do with the little guy. Was it just a mutated insect that had a quirk? Misa wasn't sure, but it was definitely a possibility.
"You wouldn't happen to know which way we should go to find someone to turn that in to, would you? I've uh... never come this way and still have a habit of getting lost. Heh."

They were inexperienced for sure, but Karen always appreciated the attitude of someone willing to learn and put in the effort to bettering themselves. She couldn't help but feel really nostalgic about this. For an entire year she had been playing the part of underclassman to the now third years. But with this new school year she was yet again back in a position where younger students would end up relying on her for things. This was basically her entire life in middle school before she entered UA. Time really flew. "Of course you're free to talk to me anytime. I'll give you my contact details later. Well, it's hard to promise when but I do my best to make myself available to anyone looking for help~"In a way it was also practice for being a hero. Trouble didn't know any time or place so one must always be ready to respond. An underclassman in need was not that much different from a civilian in distress. Anyway she followed to girl to one of the science rooms where they managed to procure a suitable jar to store their fiery friend in. She made a mental note to inform a teacher later that they borrowed some equipment from this room. Normally you needed permission to but she would just have to explain the circumstances later. Gently and carefully, she released the little critter inside the jar and then quickly covered the opening. It really didn't look too pleased at all at being contained but it was for the school's safety. Surely a teacher would find a good place for it later. "The way you talk about exploding, I'm somewhat relieved we could find a container before he tried doing that while in my hands~"She would say jokingly. If a jar could hold the little guy then her aura-protected hands weren't in any real danger. But she still felt she ought to humor the girl. Misa had good intentions after all. "Well we could try the infirmary or the biology room. I'm sure Nimue-sensei wouldn't mind taking it off our hands. I'm not certain if she's in today though..."She paused to think before coming up with a decision. "It would probably be best to just head for the faculty lounge and speak to whoever is around. Maybe we can clear your name too~"She would say before leading the way outside of the room back to the hallways. It wasn't that far away but she dare not underestimate the ability of people to get lost. Especially not someone who admitted it themselves.
