Well that had been an interesting phone call. Apparently the family of one of the U.A. kids wanted to send him a present in secret. They didn't say what for or what the present was but the contract was legit, as her groaning old fax machine printed it out in triplicate. Maybe she wasn't as booksmart as her mother or sisters but she certainly inherited their need for neatness and order when it come to conducting her business! Everything had to be copied and filed in the appropriate place, in triplicate! One for her, one for customers should they request it and one for tax inspections. It took a full 5 minutes to print, enough time for her to go ahead and grab a coffee from the cafe downstairs, coming in right as the sun turned from the brilliant orange-yellow of dawn to the yellow and blue of daybreak and just as the fax machine finished it's final little 'beep' to show it was done. Kai was a fast girl, both in terms of her physical speed and her personality; having so many slow appliances around was making her mind itch. The wasted minutes were going to add up into hours eventually and that was hours where she wasn't out delivering! Which meant it was hours customers weren't receiving their important packages or sentimental items! The coffee was a nice wake-up though. Mornings were a little sluggish for her sometimes, a residual effect of her Quirk no doubt. Needed time for the sunlight to really start getting her going. Still, it was nothing compared to mornings during high school. Using all of her energy in her sports clubs and ending up dead on her feet even before night game, then having to sleep upwards of 10 hours when she got home. The bedhead was a nightmare the next morning! Right, so. She'd need to go pick up the package from the distribution center first thing but since he was a student there wasn't really a way to tell where he'd be at any one time, especially since it was Saturday. Easiest place to leave the package would be the U.A. Reception. She didn't really enjoy waiting around there all day but hey, she had to make sure this package got to him personally, that was her promise to her customers after all! It was a sunny day, no need for the special uniform today, her usual would do. Pulling on her hat and small pink scarf just in case it got a little cold later, she snatched her satchel up as she left, pulling it onto her shoulder as she held the contract carefully between her teeth, trying not to damage it. All of her deliveries needed to be picked up at the distribution center first anyway so it's not like her satchel was very heavy at the moment. "Welp, another day of business." She tapped the slightly cracked mirror in the hallway moving towards the front door, giving her reflection a wink. "Go get 'em, tiger!" God, that was lame! -------- Three hours later she found herself jogging through the city center, satchel now thoroughly filled as she weaved in and around the crowd, heading towards her next delivery. She'd need to board a train to Mustafu later to deliver the kid's package but for now it was just standard deliveries. Nothing particularly unusual. Yet because it was a Saturday the crowd was immense here! She could barely move a few meters a minute! What was up with this damn crowd! With a frustrated growl, she eventually made it to the convenience stands, giving her a small break from the crush of bodies. She took that moment to recover herself and check the packages weren't damaged. All good! A deep breath to calm herself down and then a quick leap upwards, landing delicately on the roof of the convenience stand. Kai scanned the horizon for possible exits, methods of escape in the direction she was going but the crowd seemed to be flowing against where she wanted to go. Instead she crossed her legs and sat down, just watching the people as she pulled a small melon pan bread from her bag, munching on it as she waited for whatever rush was happening to die down, watching the crowd as she did so.

Fion woke up like any other day to his alarm and had a quick shower and got dressed in some casual clothes ready to just walk around today and explore. He wasn't one to stay at the school all the time sure he could have a nice nap but he needed some kind of adventure every so often so he wouldn't get out of shape. Fion decided he'd hang out at Tokyo today which was honestly and awful decision on his end seeing as it was insanely busy there.
He wasn't too surprised by how busy it was but he kind of hated it and was starting to get a little hungry. He figured he might aswell grab something simple so he bought a sandwich he found which wasn't exactly good tasting but it was food so whatever. it wasn't long though until he noticed someone sitting on a roof eating some bread which he thought was kind of a strange spot to eat and he felt compelled to ask about the weird eating spot.
So he walked towards the spot and saw more closely that it was a woman that looked a little like a delivery person maybe they were taking a break? Regardless he still felt the need to ask why she was sitting on a roof to eat. "Interesting spot to eat lunch nice view up there?" He wasn't quite sure what kind of response to expect to his question but maybe it'd be a fun little conversation.

Even though melon pan was typically a pretty bland snack, it was one of Kai's favorites. Cheap, didn't give her heartburn, tasted nice and had a lot of calories for her to burn off. Honestly sort of the perfect food for her because it wasn't hyper filled with sugar either, most of the fillings were natural; at least she wasn't exactly at a huge risk of running into health complications if she binged on them. Unlike crepes. God, she wished she could have a crepe right now. That cafe she'd gone to with Yumi had such good desserts...
Reaching her arm up, she stretched her shoulders and back, storing her melon pan bread in her lap as she continued to people-watch. From the sounds of it there was some sort of sports game on today, which explained the traffic. Normally it wasn't anywhere near this bad on a Saturday but all the people arriving in sports memorabilia kinda tipped her off to the fact that it was indeed some sort of sports day. Interesting that they still had such a large audience considering the prevalence of the U.A. Sports Festival. It should be commendable that athletic pursuits like that still garnered so many loyal fans. Maybe heroes would be the same, someday.
Just then, she was awakened from her musing by a voice, a young voice. Blinking, she turned to the source, tilting her head a little before giving a welcoming smile. "Of course! You get to see so many interesting people and places up here. Plus, I get a real nice smell wafting up from the kiosk when they cook their melon pan!" She gave a sort of excited little chuckle, before taking a closer look at the boy she was talking to. Something seemed familiar about him, something she couldn't quite place.
And then it clicked! This was Fion! "Hey wait a minute... Are you Fion-kun? Fion Galon?" She waited for him to respond, then performed a graceful roll backwards, dropping off of the roof and onto her feet as if it required no effort at all. Digging around in her satchel, she found a small box and presented it to him. "You got a package from your family! Your mom gave me a real clear description of you; the white bit in your hair kinda gave it away, hehe!" With that, she closed her satchel, tilting her head again as her mind flashed back to Yumi and her talk of U.A.
"You're a U.A. kid, right? What's it like studying there, if you don't mind me asking? Got a friend who's in her third year and I'd feel awkward asking her a bunch of questions!" Bashfully she rubbed the back of her head, giving her usual charismatic grin as she tried to play it off as just a quirky question. In reality, for the first time in a long time she found herself worried about the future. These kids were supposed to be their first line of defense against villains like that awful Ishtar chick once they graduated... she just hoped they weren't being put under too much pressure.

Fion decided the woman's response sort of made sense though it was still weird to hop onto a roof just to enjoy some bread though that wasn't too big of a deal Fion figured he'd give a casual response. "I suppose that's fair must be a decent enough view." Fion was not expecting the next few words that came out of the woman's mouth she knew his name that was kind of weird? Did she maybe have a package for him? Regardless it was kind of weird to hear someone he didn't know to randomly say his name out loud like that.
He tried to keep a calm expression but he looked puzzled though he should likely answer seeing as it'd be rude to stay quiet since she was a delivery girl and all. "Umm Yea that's me why do you have a package or something for me?" a few moments later she explained it all and honestly his bit of white hair being a give away felt weird but more importantly what did his mom send him? Was it like some manga or maybe some anime or something he wanted though guess that didn't really matter at this point.
He didn't expect the delivery girl to ask about his school though he didn't really mind since it wasn't a big deal but he might aswell humor the girl and answer her questions. "Yea thats the school I go to correct." Fion then felt like he needed to choose his words carefully for his next question cause the teachers were kind of nutty and felt like they really didn't know how to be actual teachers at times. "It's okay I guess though i'd have to give it some more time before I can answer that question properly."
Fion was really okay with answering questions it wasn't too big of a deal so he decided to point that out. "Feel free to ask me anything though no biggie to me didn't have any plans today anyway."

As Kai handed him the package she looked up and down quick, examining him at a glance. Mature for his age, very slightly taller than her, quite a handsome kid; reminded her of the kids from the baseball team back in high school. Headstrong and impetuous but dedicated to whatever they were doing. She hoped that whatever Fion was dedicated to, it was his studied as a Hero, after all technically her tax money was going to his education. "Kaisaki Inoue, owner of Golden Sun Direct Delivery, at your service!" She gave a quick salute and a grin, trying to play it off a little goofy, maybe try and get a smile.
That accent was interesting too, he obviously spoke Japanese fluently, the dialogue was flawless as if he'd learned it from a parent but the pronunciation just had a little twinge of western influence. The fact that he said he couldn't really judge U.A. either meant he hadn't been there long or he was just a particularly unobservant kid. Or both, really. Both was an option. "You must be a First Year in that case, yeah?" Even though he was a well-developed kid there was a certain nativity to him that made it quite obvious he was younger than he appeared. If he was a First Year in high school that'd make him... fourteen? Maybe fifteen?
She gave a little shrug at his willingness to answer, her smile bright but considered. It took her a few moments to figure out her first question, leaning back against the food cart; they were both more or less stuck here until the crowd dissipated anyway right? Might as well make the most of it. "Hmm... I assume you get taught typical stuff like mathematics, history, etc. but what kinda Hero stuff do you get taught there? How do those lessons work?" She'd pause to let him answer, thinking about her next question as she did so.
She'd love to learn more about Yumi but... just because they wen't to the same school didn't mean Fion would know her, not like she knew her underclassmen when she was at high school. U.A. was a little different though, right? These kids were heroes it was only natural they'd look up to their senpais. Maybe she could learn about some other interesting up and comers other than Yumi and Kirk...
"Are there any upperclassman you admire? Like, are there any that set a particular example for the school or that you think would make a great hero?" Once again she stopped, reflexively taking her hat off and holding it in her hand. She always seemed to do this when she was thinking, helpd her concentrate. "In that same vein are there any teachers you particularly look up to? I must admit I'm not 100% sure who teaches at U.A., I've only recently taken an interest in the whole Hero thing..." For various reasons. She'd never really had a problem with criminals she couldn't run away from but... she'd met two wonderful U.A. students already. It was only fair to learn about it as much as she could, so she didn't sound ignorant when talking to them.

Fion expected to get a bunch of questions and he was fine with it since he again didn't have any real plans today so might aswell chat and get to know someone new. the girls name seemed pretty nice and the response was kind of amusing too Fion felt the need to respond to it in a pretty cheerful but relaxed tone. "Kaisaki Inoue huh? Nice name fine if I just call you Kai though?" he wasn't really sure what kind of response to expect but he'd see he'd also keep her company name in mind might have found someone to deliver him stuff from now on.
He was somewhat surprised how easily she figured out he was only a 1st year meant she actually paid attention to what he said of not really having an opinion yet which was a good thing. He decided he'd tell her she was correct. "That's Correct I'm in 1-B and despite my looks I'm only 15 but birthday is coming around."
Fion had a birthday closer to the fall so it wasn't too far off till he'd hit 16 years old. The crowd was a little annoying but at least it was decently quiet where they were standing. hmm the next question was more on what kind of stuff he get's taught huh? he figured he might aswell tell her all about what they get taught there. "Well mostly the usual stuff yea and some training I guess but haven't learned that much yet sorry about that. We do have training grounds aswell I once went training in a simulated construction site in a group to practice fighting...though we fought RedHorn so don't know if I learned much..." Fin felt like there was alot more to say but honestly he was only there for abit he was sure things would change up abit more as the year went on though. Fion wasn't sure he could give the best response to the next question upperclassmen he could admire or respect? He didn't really meet many of them but he did talk to alot of them in their group chat so he could use those as examples.
"This will be a long answer hope your prepared for this. so there's this guy who can turn into a dragon he's kind of cool though a weirdo, There's this girl Melody she's a third year she's usually pretty nice but scary if you get on her bad side I sparred against her once it was pretty crazy honestly. There's others but I don't interact with them often enough honestly but I want to."
Fion explained abit on this and hoped his answer was satisfactory though he figured the woman was trying to see if he knew her friend and he wasn't really sure unless she told him outright. "Also I'm curious who your friend is if don't mind my asking." Fion was also expecting this follow up question and honestly his opinion on the teachers so far were not the most ideal but he'd tell her anyway.
"Well My homeroom teacher is a guy named Hinata Kitsu he looks like a zombie but is kind of a big nerd who also acts like he doesn't care but is a big softie deep down. There's also Perry he's a....umm well he's a possum kind of weird guy he was a small possum sized plan he's made me clean a few times but he teaches history so he's okay in my books. There's others but they left the biggest impressions so far." Fion wasn't used to answering so many questions but honestly it was fun and pretty relaxing let him reflect abit on what he's seen so far honestly made him feel like he needed to meet more people at the school though.

"Yeah, yeah, go ahead! Kai's fine!" She grinned broadly, giving him a friendly tap on the arm. All the people she'd met from U.A. so far were seniors, it was interesting to speak to a First Year, especially with so much to live up to. She'd heard stories of the seniors from U.A. already taking on villains or doing significant Hero work. Some of the stuff Yumi had told her about it had boggled her mind. How anyone could do that stuff and stay sane, she wasn't sure. Was Yumi sane? She seemed it...
Then again she did pavement surf using a car...
Fifteen? Seriously? He looked like a bunch of the guys who asked her out in college. No way was this kid fifteen! Then again he did have that certain innocence about him, lacking a lot of the... sleaze that college boys had. "Fifteen huh? Well, I suppose I'll be delivering your birthday presents soon enough then! I'm sure you'll get something good, your mom seemed like a nice lady!" That characteristic grin of hers never seemed to leave her face, just oozing optimism wherever she went. Some found it obnoxious, especially when combined with her overly enthusiastic mannerisms but it was her.
She listened intently to Fion's explanation, stroking her chin gently as she took it all in. The kid seemed a little self-conscious about having not learned much from the school yet, at least that meant he was eager to get some learning in, right? That was good. Her taxes weren't being wasted at least! Training? Like combat training? Fighting bad guys was important, right? But wasn't rescuing people just as important? Yumi had mentioned that in some of their text conversations... maybe that was just this kid's favourite subject. Made sense. She'd probably be excited about learning how to fight too.
"You guys fought Red Horn? You seem to have all your limbs..." She imagined that girl could be a pretty scary villain, even if she was pretending. For some reason she felt a slight pain in the center of her chest. Like a sharp stabbing pain from some sort of impact. Weird. In fact she didn't have to imagine it, they'd all seen her rampage through the city; luckily nowhere close to her office or her parents house. The fact that Fion even survived that, nevermind claimed to actually 'fight' her was probably a pretty good sign that he was strong.
...Or crazy.
"A dragon? Wow, that's new..." Wait didn't she see him at the Sports Fest on TV? She couldn't remember what he'd done there though, strange. Ah, so he was scared of an older girl. She'd seen that one before in high school. The younger boy chasing after the older girl, lots of tension and fighting and then a kiss under the moonlight. Aaaah young love!~ "It's nice you want to meet more people! Meeting people is the best part of my job! Hell, I met you didn't I?" She paused for a moment, thinking. "And this girl... Melody, was it? Don't worry kid, you'll catch her eye eventually!" A light nudge on the arm and a thumbs up to encourage him. She had no idea the actual situation of it but hey, sometimes people just needed a confidence boost!
Her friend? She hesitated for a moment. Was she supposed to reveal her identity? Or... she wasn't sure what the etiquette was. Maybe he already knew her considering he seemed to know all the others by name instead of Hero Name, but... eh, whatever. Yumi could zap her later if she was wrong about this. "Tasukai, Yumi-chan, in fact! I met her a few days ago!" Didn't seem like a long time but for Kai, everything she did went at a million miles an hour.
Lots of interesting teachers then, for sure. Possum? Zombie? Possums were cool but zombies just... have her the heebie geebies. She was never any good with horror movies, that was for sure. The thought of a zombie trying to teach a class made her shudder. "W-well at least they've made an impression, hehe!" She hoped she got to meet some of these folks sometime; meeting anyone was fun but if they were all even half as cool as Yumi or Kirk she'd have a lot of fun with 'em. Except the zombie. She could go a whole lifetime without meeting him.
But there was one last thing she was curious about. "Hmm... everyone at U.A. has a Quirk, right? What;s yours, if you don't mind me asking?" She stroked her chin again in thought, then quickly added. "Er, no demonstrations please! Remember Quirk use is against the law except for mutants, kinda. Maybe. Depends on the mutant I guess." I mean she couldn't exactly turn her own Quirk off, it'd be kinda silly to be arrested for her equivalent of breathing.

Fion was glad she was fine with him just calling her Kai it wasn't that he didn't want to call her by her full name but like he was both lazy and saw the nickname and had to ask. This girl seemed very friendly though and that made Fion glad he would definitely tell his mom to use her delivery service again very reliable and nice perfect combo also she was pretty nice to look at.
Fion was a little embarrassed at the birthday present line but it was true he would be turning sixteen fairly soon might aswell point it out to the delivery girl aswell. "Yea my birthday is actually Halloween so it isn't that far off I suppose. And yea she has always been a nice person always thinking of others instead of herself." Fion wished his mom wouldn't worry about him so much he could already tell his gift was likely a care package from his mom to make sure he's doing alright. Fion was greatly enjoying his conversation he liked more energetic people they were usually fun to talk to though a little ditsy sometimes.
Fion was surprised at the comment about having all his limb's he did hear about the rampage but honestly the fights never really felt like he was in any real trouble tho they were just sparring matches really. "Yea I've had two sparring matches against her now once by my own and the other time in the group. I'm fine from it but maybe she was holding back?" Fion had heard about the rampage which must have been terrifying to have seen but it wasn't his place to say anything about it.
Fion was glad about the agreement on meeting new people but then got slightly embarrassed when Kai brought up what he said about Melody maybe she got the wrong idea? Sure she was cute and Fion is interested but it wasn't like he was actively pursuing her. "I think you might be over thinking it I did yes fight her to get to know her but it wasn't like im trying to date her or anything."
Then Fion heard the name of Kai's friend he didn't really know her personally but he'd seen her in their group chat a couple times and he'd seen pictures of her online people seemed super thirsty for her. "I've never personally met her mostly seen her in the schools chat room but I've seen pictures."
Then came a question Fion should have expected what his quirk was it was a simple and innocent question but Fion felt the need to be vague regardless he didn't like people knowing how his quirk worked. "I can summon weapons nothing too fancy just various weapons but I can't summon guns." Fion was wondering if maybe this delivery girl also had a quirk or not so he felt the need to ask anyway. "Do you have one aswell?"
