APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Red is like most Red panda foxes and has a pattern of red and brown with white accents. The thing that makes him unique though is the fact he isn't as bulky as most red panda foxes. He rather has a more slender and elongated frame. This might be due to his time being raised in the circus or because of him being a runt of his litter. He honestly doesn't know why, but it has come in handy for fitting into smaller spaces he normally wouldn't be able to.
His fur is normally pretty clean and silky to the touch, but lately, it has been a bit more matted due to the fact he has been living on the streets. He can even suffer from some patchy sections of his fur from picking at it showing a bit of his skin underneath. Red doesn't like it when this happens, but the itches he gets before creating the patches of skin are sometimes just unbearable.
POSITIVE
✔ Curious, Inquisitive, playful, friendly, cautious
NEGATIVE
✖ kleptomaniac, manipulative, can't speak, forgetful, loner
LIKES
✔ eating, small spaces, ear scratches, sunlight, collecting things
DISLIKES
✖ being used, going hungry, rain, people grabbing his tail, snow
Personality:
Red is a simple creature who just wants to live his life freely or comfortably. Yet he knows he can't do this as most animals are kept as pets or glorified trophies. He likes to believe he is more valuable than that, but with his lack of ability to speak, he feels he won't be able to accomplish this dream of his. Still, he is stubborn enough to try and survive. He wants to do things his way and doesn't want to rely on others to survive and uses his intellect to do that.
This has caused him to be a bit of a thief in his life. He takes things he could either sell off or eat to survive. Is he proud of the fact he has done this in his life? No, but sometimes the end justifies the means. He is willing to put away any pride or moral standings to make sure he survives and doesn't go hungry. When he does such misdeeds he uses his natural animal characteristics to try and get out of situations that can cause him to be in trouble. Sure he isn't the most common of creature to be found, but probably to most people, he is only a wild animal anyways so why not and use their predisposition of himself against them?

HISTORY
Red was born as the smaller of the cubs to a breeder. His original owner wanted to breed the perfect panda foxes and use them for selling purposes for exotic pet owners. When Red was noticed to be on the small side of a normal cub he was chucked aside and left to die. He would have indeed died too if it weren't for the fact of a special man finding him in the rain. Shivering and half close to death the man picked Red up and took him to a warm place where lights shone around the area. Red didn't know where he was, but he felt it was a much better place than being out in the cold. Boy was he wrong.
Red found himself in the care of a ringmaster of a traveling circus group. While he was grateful for the man for rescuing from the grips of death, though he could never show his gratitude, he didn't like living in the circus. He was made as an attraction for deadly stunts and humiliating skits. Red was treated like a prop and not a proper being and he hated every second of it. When he wasn't performing he was confined to a cell where he wasn't allowed to do anything but sleep and eat when they fed him. The one good take away from the circus he took was his ability to do some more reckless stunts and tricks and he was able to plan things out in silence to one day make his escape.
The day came when he was to be shot out of a cannon through a ring of fire. He had practiced the stunt without any changes to the routine for the ringmaster so he wouldn't know of his plans for escape, but when the night of the show happened he made a break for it. Right before the canon fired he jumped out of the canon and using the background scenery and the crowd he snuck his way out of the tent. He continued to run and run till he couldn't anymore and found himself in a big city. He was a runaway and he needed to stay hidden. He had heard about the ringmaster putting missing posters for his return, but Red was crafty. Red would elude any enforcement that was searching for him and would hop from city to city until he was far away from the circus.
The only issue he ran into while being on the run from the ringmaster was the fact he had to scavenge to live. Food was hard to come by in the cities and he would have to resort to either eating from the garbage or stealing from markets. Stealing came with its risks and he would normally only do that if he was guaranteed an escape or he was heading to a different town or city afterward. After traveling for a few years though he would make his way to Tokyo where he knew he would be able to make a new life for himself and maybe somehow be able to stop living off thievery.
