July 15th, 2074. 8:00 am.
Mizuki needed to teach her brother the importance of not overbooking. Not only did he schedule himself for the Plaza project, but he also scheduled himself for the suburb repairs at well with her and Niji. Mizuki was watiing in her red overalls and her shirt with UA on the sleeves. She had her hair tied in a ponytail and she was checking her watch to see where her brother was. He was never late for anything, what was keeping him? So she decided to shoot the other Haymaker a text in the UA chat to see where he was exactly.
Mizuki @ Desmoshi: Hey, where you at?
Desmoshi @ Mizuki: In Musutafu Plaza. Why?
Mizuki @ Desmoshi: You were suppose to help with repair work today at the suburbs today.
Desmoshi @ Mizuki: Crap! My b. I forgot about it.
Mizuki @ Desmoshi: Don't worry. Niji and I are taking care of it. Can you @ students to see if they come and help? Dad already called in a favor for a work crew and tools but we still need some hlep.
Desmoshi @ Mizuki: Thanks for the cover sis. I get right on it and let people know.
The young Haymaker put away her phone as she watched her dad direct the other workers he had hired into what to expect. It was nice her dad had some connections and that he was planning to leave the vigilante lifestyle behind. But she wasn't sure what would happen in the next few months to come. Anything could happen where her father would change his mind and jump back in. She thought about this as she waited with Niji for other students to show up.

This exercise should prove useful to my attempts to track down the Anti-Quirkers members. That was the thought that had led Gabriel to making his way towards the rebuilding efforts over in Musutafu's suburbs after the damage that had been inflicted there by the Fuchu prisons former prisoners.
He had heard a rumour that some big time Quirker boxer was helping out the reconstruction efforts, and given the damage had been done by Quirkers and non-Quirker criminals, the white-haired foreigner figured that the usual bigoted twats would turn up with their little placards and stuff. As he walked over to the site he couldn't see any of them just yet, but it was still early in the day. Who knows?
For now though, he had better at least make himself useful. He spotted a purple haired girl and a smaller blonde who were standing there, watching someone who resembled the first girl and some other people get to work. "Yo." he called over, waving a hand at the pair as he approached. "You leading this rebuilding effort thing?" Gabriel asked as he reached them. "Figured I'd try and help do something useful, so if you need an extra pair of hands." the white-haired teen offered to the pair.

Of course Sean could not help but worry about recent events near his home area. After all, Musutafu was his home. The home of so many people, including some of his friends. Walking home and seeing all the wrecked houses and the damage to the area saddened the boy. Man, I feel bad for all the people who were caught in the crossfire. It was horrible enough that numerous criminals had broken out of prison, but to see all the carnage and destruction they had caused was even worse.
At least it's over. The heroes and police did everything they could to contain the madness. Hopefully things will go back to normal quickly.
Still, repairs were far from over. It was clear that it would take time for the community to rebuild and recover from the damages caused by the escapees. And of course, the kindhearted young man wanted to do whatever he could to help out. I may not be a UA student anymore, but that doesn't mean I'm powerless. I can still do something! I can help! I wanna help! Any way I can!
So it was decided! As he was walking back home, Sean noticed several people seemingly at work, or about to start. It was hard to tell from afar. But Sean had heard the rumors. He heard of people coming over to help repair the area. And he knew that there was no way he could walk away from this without at least offering some assistance. Musutafu's my home, and I wanna do whatever I can to help out!
And with that, Sean walked over to the group, smiling cheerfully as he got closer. He heard this one guy asking about the rebuilding and offering to lend a hand. Sean immediately rushed over. "Yo! Same here! If there's anything I can do to help, just say the word, and I'm on it!"
Upon noticing the UA on the girl's shirt, Sean smiled. A UA student, eh? Awesome! I figured some students would show up! It made the former hero-in-training proud to see a future hero step up and aid with helping the suburb repairs. Not that it mattered whether someone was a hero, one in training, or even just an everyday person. Everyone could band together and pitch in to help!
Alright, time for Tsunami to rise up from the depths and assist with Operation Community Restoration!

Yang
Yang sighed. She heard that Mizuki was leading a clean up crew for Musutafu or at least the part that got destroyed thanks to the prisoners breaking out earlier. This was probably the first time Yang has been back to this portion of the city. She sneered as she remembered what happened as they encountered the villains. Her quirk regulators weren't fixed as of yet.
Here she was attempting to help out in Mizuki in a place that caused her great distress not too long ago without her quirk regulators. Boy this was going to be interesting. All she could do was keep herself calm as she attempted to help out. Hopefully she won't make it worse. As if she could make it worse right...?
She sighed again. Eventually she made her way over to Mizuki and realized there was others here as well. Yang had nervously waved at the new people and looked at Mizuki. There was silence between them. Yang didn't know these people and didn't quite feel comfortable talking as of yet. Mizuki already knew this side of Yang and didn't force her to mingle. Of course this made Yang appreciated this about Yang. Yang just waited for Mizuki to give her directions.

Niji went over to the other crew members as three people walked up to the site, one of them being Yang. She was still in toughs about an answer to her. The fear of going to someone else's home while all this was happening. Was she supposed to give it a try and trust that everything was going to be alright? Or was she going to back down and run away? She wasn't sure yet. But she knew the clock was ticking and the break was coming up soon. She needed to figure this out and give an answer.
But for now, she needed to focus on this project. "Welcome everyone," Mizuki said with a small smile. Talking in front of crowds was never her thing. But she knew her brother needed this to work. I would be one step closer to bringing people together. "My name is Mizuki Haymaker. My brother has put together this event to help with the community's repairs. We will be needing a few things. A few houses need windows along with some of their front doors repaired. We will also be rebuilding a house from scratch so if someone can go over in that area and help out the crew, that would be appreciated. The pavement also needs some reworks and holes need to patch up. If you can find other things that need to be fixed just let me know. Please avoid using your quirks during this- people are still a little uneasy at the moment. Okay, let's get to work."

"No using our Quirks huh?" asked Gabriel, rubbing the back of his head and groaning. "Well there goes Plan A for helping to speed this along..." he grumbled. Even if nobody here used their Quirks in the rebuilding effort, that didn't mean the Anti-Quirkers wouldn't show up and make a nuisance of themselves... If anything, the presence of these hero school students might just serve as the catalyst on its own, regardless of Quirk use or lack thereof.
Now the question was, which one of these reconstruction projects to lend a hand with? The complete house rebuild seemed the logical choice as that would no doubt take the longest compared to the windows, doors or even pavement options. The downside of course was he would have to deal with a lot of people, and he really did not like having to deal with a ton of people at once.
"Well, no sense in wasting time pissing in the wind." said the albino teen as he began to make his way over towards the house rebuilding site. "Yo! Miss Haymaker over there said you lot could use some an extra hand or two." he said as he approached the reconstruction crew, hiking a thumb in Mizuki's direction. "Just tell me what needs doing and I'll get doing."

Yang
Yang stood by idly as she heard Mizuki spoke. There were definitely a lot of repairs to do. Some of this damage Yang had personally caused but she couldn't remember much of that day thanks to Red taking over. What she did remember is that she had to go to the hospital and get tested for every known disease and start a regime of pills that she had quite finished taking. She sighed as she looked over the area.
It brought back faint memories of that day. The fight was intense but she always questioned why the prisoners when basically went straight for the school? She wasn't quite sure what their motive was. But whatever it was she will not forget that person. He made her mad enough to complain to her father about. Of course it naturally made Myrkul curious but he would have to figure out who the unlucky bastard was at a later time if that person didn't get recaptured.
Yang flinched a bit when she heard Gabriel groaning about not being able to use their quirks. Event though it would speed up the process, she didn't want to use her quirk so openly unless it was absolutely necessary. Thankfully the school had rules set in place for the students, so most of the group probably wouldn't agree with him to begin with or so she hoped. Yang sighed and waited to be told what to do. She wasn't quite sure where to start considering how much stuff needed to be repaired.

Mizuki watched as the white-haired man went over to help the construction crew. She turned to Yang and offer a small smile. "You and I can work on the windows if you like, Yang. All we have do is fit them in the frame while they gum it in," she explained as they walked over to a house. She looked at one of the workers. "Are the windows done?" The worker nodded his head as there were twenty windows laid out with frames. "Well, looks like we got a lot of work to do," she said picking up one of the frames and taking it to the first house.
With Gabriel and reconstruction crew.
"Sure we could use some help," the man said to Gabriel. He pointed at the wooden frames of the house, with the front one missing. Jokai was inside the empty place holding about ten ropes. "The man over there said he would pull the front of the house up while we nail it in. We are moving the scaffolding over right now. It is going about two stories high with four bedrooms. The good news is that the walls and other parts will be in today. But we need to have this ready before then."
As soon as Jokai was given the signal, he pulled the front of the frame with all his might, lifting the whole thing into place. He kept his position holding it in place. "Man, what does that guy eat?" the man asked amazed. He turned to Gabriel and handed him a nail gun. "Hope you are not afraid of heights. If so you can do the ground level. Alright, guys make sure to nail the front and the back. Let's do this."

The white haired teen listened as the man gave an explanation for what was going on, raising an eyebrow as the entire frame was hauled up by the one man's strength and held it there. His eyes were already trying to find the pulley system that would have allowed a non-Quirker level of strength to hoist that up, but he found himself being handed a nail gun.
Gabriel gave the tool a cursory examination, checking how the nails fit into the cartridge slot and inspecting the trigger mechanism. He gave a low chuckle at the remark about heights. "I'll be fine." he said, before he began to make his way over towards a nearby set of ladders and started to climb up to the next floor. He gave the floor frame a quick test push with his foot first before he got off the ladder. As secure as it no doubt was right now, the albino wasn't about to be an idiot and trust it implicitly.
Once he was up there though it definitely gave him a better vantage point to observe the surrounding area. From what he could see there wasn't any particular build up of people aside from those working on the reconstruction projects. At least not yet. Gabriel returned his attention to the task at hand though and started to line up the nail gun with where the front of the houses frame met with the already established housing skeleton.
The thunk of the nail gun firing its load into the wood made the albino youth wince for some reason. He frowned and gave the nail gun another look over, then inspected his work with a few pokes and wiggles. Gabriel shook his head as he couldn't find anything to be a cause for concern and repeated the procedure again a meter along. Once again the metal striking through wood made him wince, and this time he felt a small phantom twinge in his back.
The white haired teen took a slow breath as he managed to connect the dots. "Relax. It's not you, its wood. It's not you, it's wood." he began to mutter quietly to himself, repeating this mantra over and over again with each and every single nail he fired into the structure. He gritted his teeth before pulling the trigger each time, working to ignore and suppress the memories etched into his back. He had to focus on the job at hand, at the task before him here and now...

Yang Yang nodded. That sounded like a simple task until she saw how many window frames they would be assisting with. Her face dropped slightly. She knew quite a bit was broken thanks to the jail brake but she didn’t think it was to this extent. All of that day was fairly fuzzy for her. She was going off of second hand accounts of what Red told her.
Yang sighed and began to help out the best that she could. Hopefully today wouldn’t be too hot considering what time year it was. She definitely wasn’t used to doing things like this. However she figured why not do it? Especially since Mizuki was here. She didn’t mind working hard as long as she got to do it with Mizuki.
In fact when she thought about it, there was probably a lot of things Yang would be willing to do as long as Mizuki was there. Ever since the riots, Yang’s feelings for Mizuki have become more pronounced. She just hadn’t have the time to speak with her about it. Obviously she couldn’t do it here. She sighed again wondering how long this could take. Maybe after this her and Mizuki could got get some ice cream together? That would be worth this hard work.

As she helped with the windows, Mizuki thought back to the Riots. She took a hefty move clenching the victory that her side needed. However, some people thought she made a terrible move and it almost cost her life. But she didn't care about it as much. As long as Yang was still okay, that's all that mattered. She thought back to that fight, and how close it was for them.
Flashback
Mizuki joined next to Yang the two standing together. It looks like Colt took down his guy as she watched the retired firefighter carry him off to the safe area. William and Beaumont's effort took down the nuclear man. William used his quirk at the last second to create armor- around the exploding man. The large explosion sounded through the area, sending blue chunks into the building. When it was over, the nuclear man was lying on the ground his energy spent from his attempt to wipe them out. His clothes were in smoldering ashes and he was smoking from the explosion. The medical group came and checked on both William and Beaumont, suggesting moving both of them to the safe area. That was a good call for Mizuki to set a safe area ahead of time.
"You should be worried about yourself!" said the black oozing monster. Mizuki felt a surge of pain as he sent his clawed hand through her shoulder. Mizuki screamed in pain. The black tendrils whipped at Yang to keep her away from their altercation. "Game over, little girl," the oozing monster said. "You lost. My quirk allows me to control black slime from a remote area. My real body isn't even here. So you will never catch me." Mizuki was bleeding profusely. She had a plan in mind and this guy just made it easier. "Thanks for letting me know that," Mizuki said smiling, the blood traveling down her lip.
Mizuki squeezed her wound harder letting the blood leak more, pooling on her clothes and the ground. "Are you trying to kill yourself, idiot?!" the black ooze yelled. Mizuki let her quirk go to work. She wasn't killing herself- she was giving Yang ammo. "No," she said still smiling. "But here's a science lesson. What happens when you super freeze liquid?" The black ooze panicked realizing what Mizuki was aiming for. But it was too late. Mizuki was freezing the liquid inside and out. "If you had someone inside, this would be so much harder," she said watching the eyes of the ooze. "But since you are not here and this is made of complete liquid, it makes this thing of yours easier to destroy.
The ooze screamed out as it was frozen solid into a black ice statue. "Yang! Now! Use my blood and finish it!" she yelled. It was the last thing she said before passing out on the frozen claw. She was spent but alive, thanks to the suit that Charolette made for her. She would have to thank her once she was out of the infirmary.
Ended Flashback.
It felt weird; being injured on the job. She would never have thought to make a sacrifice like that. But she was happy that Yang was okay. And that was all that mattered. She placed the last window on the frame. "Looks like we are all done for now," Mizuki said looking at the sun setting. No point in continuing if they had no light to really work by. "Let's round up the crew and call it a day," Mizuki said talking to Yang.
Back to the house building.
The frame was looking good thanks to Gabriel's and the crew's efforts. The house walls were placed in and the next thing to do was work on the interior. "Well, the sun is going down," said the lead worker. "Time to call it in." The crew packed away the equipment as he looked at Gabriel. "Thanks for all your help man," the lead worker said patting him on the shoulder. "Let's see what the lady Haymaker has to say."

As Gabriel finished thunking the last nail into the wood, he let out a slow breath as he worked to keep his breathing under control. When the man's hand came down on his shoulder, his body immediately tensed up, his grip on the nail gun tightening to white knuckles and his Quirk threatened to rip out into the world... But it didn't. The albino teen took a few more slow breaths and reminded himself that these people weren't a threat to him.
He turned and nodded at the lead worker, offering him the nail gun back. "Not a problem mate." said Gabriel, faking a helpful smile to try and assuage the man if he'd picked up on anything. Speaking of picking up, he was genuinely surprised that none of the Anti-Quirker types showed up. Here was a bunch of apparent UA students helping to rebuild the neighbourhood... and not even a single puritan twat showed up even for a token protest.
True, nobodies Quirks had been used during this whole thing... But still. Gabriel had expected at least one person to show up, even for a minute or so. But nothing for an entire day of work? He leapt down from his position on the housing frame, landing on the ground and brushed himself off. Well, maybe this wasn't a complete and total loss... a days work meant a days pay right?
Unless the Haymaker girl was being serious about this being a community event thing, in which case that meant volunteer... which meant no pay. Gabriel mentally groaned. No pay, no Anti-Quirker Musutafu bastards to beat up for information... this day was going to have been a complete and utter waste wasn't it?
And to top it all off, he still had to get back to Kabukicho for his security shift at the hotel, which also didn't officially pay him either... At least there he got to beat bastards up when they get out of line.

Yang
Yang looked at Mizuki for a second. How could she feel relaxed at this moment? She almost died! But she was just pushing it aside as nothing happen. Yang remembered when she would stay by her bedside, sitting silent, refusing to go back to her room until she was okay. Until she could see Mizuki's eyes open. But why did she feel that way? Why did she feel the need to be next to her? To protect her? To...? Yang was confused about her feelings at the moment.
Mizuki thanked her for being there for her. For making sure she was fully recovered. To be honest, Yang needed the recovery as well. She used someone else's blood for her quirk. Mizuki's blood. The thought of using someone else's blood instead of hers made her shiver a bit. Especially someone she cared about.
Mizuki called the end of the day, stating they had done as much work as they could get done. The houses were coming along well. It was just missing a few things here and there. As everyone dismissed for the day, Yang turned to Mizuki. Was Mizuki okay? Was doing fine? Better question was: did she think about Yang's request?
