As much as he loved cooping himself up like a bird tucked away in some sort of cage, it was time to break the habit and actually go out...spread his wings so to speak. Living for someone else, that time had to be put behind him and he needed to look forward. There was so much he was cutting out from his life for the sake of Colt, all so he could be there at the drop of a hat. Everything felt more...vivid...the colors were brighter than usual, as though he'd been living his life looking through a pair of dirty lenses. [break][break] A backpack was slung over his shoulder, just wearing casual ol' clothes like he did for RedHorn's class from the depths of el Diablo. That was an experience he rather not re-live...but you know what? Beaumont was thankful for it all the same, glad that he was able to use it as a learning experience and more importantly, understand that he needed to always be prepared whenever he went out. Anywhere else and he probably would have just died thanks to remnants of his condition. If anyone was upset about it, he'd happily talk to the opinionated person in question and let them know his side of the story. [break][break] So now? He wore an armor plate made of his metal beneath his shirt to protect his chest to provide at least one more buffering layer. Maybe folks would call him paranoid or crazy if they knew, but with the settling realization that he'd be dead without BuraBura's help? It's not like someone else would always be there to save him, he was lucky that time...and he knew that if anything, RedHorn would have saved him or maybe one of the others. To the best of his knowledge, it was the safest place to learn such a lesson about getting caught off guard. [break][break] Taking his phone out of his pocket, he took photos of the various flora and had a piece in mind that he wanted to work on, mixing digital and traditional media. Today was a day off for the young pink-haired girl and she was going to spend the day doing one of the things she loved most...shopping! Ok maybe it wasn't her favorite activity to do, but she did enjoy it overall. Though she wasn't someone who went spent money all willy nilly, though she could, she was here for some specific things. She needed a new headband because her current one was getting a bit old along with some more hair ties. Kyouko also could use some more spare fabric for quick patch jobs to some of her clothes just in case. It wasn't much of a list really, but any reason to go shopping and watching the crowds of people was a good enough reason to be out. So here she was out shopping for a few simple things wearing a cute dress that might be a bit too much for out and about wear. Kyouko didn't care though she loved dressing up and wearing dresses constantly even if it wasn't exactly practical. Her hair was up in a braid today as she knew she was going to be messing with her quick today. As she made her way down the streets she noticed the people around her enjoying their day. A child was chasing a ball while another boy followed. A group of women was sitting down at a cafe enjoying tea and laughing about something. There was even a blond male taking photos of flowers that were used for decorations on the outside of a building. Wait she recognized those golden locks it couldn't be? She looked around in search of a black-haired boy whom she also knew and couldn't find him. "No way," Kyouko said in awe to herself. He was usually with Colt and not by himself. Did the lamb lose its herd or did he finally try and do things on his own? It honestly was hard to believe the sight she was witnessing, but at the same time, she was proud of him. Monty always seemed like such a timid boy so to see him doing things on his own was a delight to Kyouko. She couldn't help herself and sneak up on the boy and once she was behind him whispered into his ear, "Looks like someones off their leash." After saying this though she quickly jumped into hugging the boy. " You ain't getting away from me so quickly though," She laughed as she said this. This attracted the attention of a few people around, but she paid them no mind. |

Yay! Nice shots and looking them over with a bright smile! These were beautiful in his opinion, if not only for the fact that they were lovely and colorful flowers. See, the way the lighting hit the petals and the shading changed the color was an absolutely fascinating thing to the blonde haired teen, practically dubbed as the prince at this rate. Which...heeee....really wasn't sure how that happened since he was mostly going for a knight aesthetic? Oh well, it was fine and maybe it would stir some inspiration to change his hero name!

Not even realizing that there was a classmate nearby, he shuddered and felt his blood run cold for a hot second as the girl's hushed words graced the air. "Wh-wha..?!" No way could he predict what was going to happen next! Those familiar arms wrapped around him and pulled him in close as a squeak wiggled out of him in a soft yelp! Rapidly looking around as he gripped onto his phone tightly with a gulp, slooooowly looking over his shoulder to seee, "K-Kyouko! Leash? Wh-what leash I...I'm confused..."

She...didn't mean Colt, did she? Wasn't he, himself the leash...that's how he'd been treated so that's why he was so confused...but...did that mean he had it wrong? There was no way Colt was just using him for all those years, stringing him along...right? Although Colt may have been a bit selfish at times...he...he wasn't like that, right...right?! Ugh...well..if he was...it would certainly make all of this hurt less in some light or another. Being used wasn't a good thought, but breaking away from someone who only saw him as a thing to manipulate...well...he'd be lying if there wasn't some solace in that....

Kyouko couldn't help and laugh at Monty's reaction to her surprise visit. He was so easy to tease and it was so fun to watch his reactions. Did that make her a bad person? Maybe to some degree, but she didn't do any of this in malice and she believed he knew this. Well, she hoped he did at least. If he didn't she would have to profusely apologize to him afterward, but till he confirmed this fear for her the tease must go on.
"You know what I'm talking about silly," Kyouko said sticking her tongue out and tilting to the side. She only said her comment because she wasn't used to seeing him outside of the school grounds. He always struck her as a recluse instead of someone who went out and about the town. "Now what are you doing Monty-wonty?" This was a genuine question as she looked at him with her eyes glowing with intrigue. "Care if I tag along today?" She honestly had no real goal today and was kind of bored and hanging with Monty would certainly prove to be exciting to some degree. Kyouko would put her hands behind her back and tilt to the side asking, "Please?"

"..I...I do...?" Muttering those words out with complete and utter confusion...he...really had no idea what she was going on about. What leash? Never had he worn a leash in his life...but maybe it was less a thing and more a person she'd been referencing? Either way, it was all rather confusing...squinting in thought for a moment more, his mind was doing its best to solve this wild mystery until it was interrupted! What was he doing? His mind quickly changed gears as the words Monty-wonty passed her lips and his gaze rest upon her in confusion, then the inquiry of if she could tag along prompted the blonde to tilt his head ever so slightly.

The thought of anyone wanting to hang out with him was a strange one, that's for sure! "O-oh! Um...o-of course, yes, you're more than welcome to join me, Kyouko!" With a gentle smile and a mildly embarrassed air about his tone, he couldn't help but let out a soft gasp and blush a bit at the realization that he completely glossed over her question. "S-sorry, what I'm doing...y-yeah...I...I...um...I...didn't quite figure that part out yet aside from taking some photos for a personal project of mine...w-what about you? What were you doing? M-maybe I could be the one who tags along with you instead?" Offering a sheepish smile as though to add on to the apology, he hoped it was enough and that she wasn't upset with him for being a bit spacey for a moment there!

Seeing a world Kyouko couldn't help and suppress her smile at his confusion at her leash comment. He should know the answer, but he was playing dumb. Well, whatever it wasn't like it mattered if he addressed it or not to himself. Teasing him was fun enough for the girl. "Yes you do silly," she gave one final wink before continuing the conversation to a new topic. They would have to talk about this later when she wasn't so interested in his outing by himself.
His response to her joining was adorable and honestly, his muttering was quite endearing. "Well thank-you I knew you enjoyed the company of another," She smiled at him as she got closer to him ruffled his hair. Sure she was a bit shorter than him, but she could at least ruffle his feather a tiny bit. He was like a brother whom she teased and messed with, but still loved. Maybe that's why she was so close to Monty he made her think of her brother back in China. Sure they didn't have a similar personality at all, but the fact she could perpetuate her ideal sibling dynamic on him felt just right.
When he answered her question about his activity she was immediately invested. "Personal project?" Kyouko asked with a lot of curiosity, "Do tell!" She wanted to know more about Monty and his hobbies and likes. They never got to talk too much outside of group settings and between classes so learning about him sounded very nice. "Never mind about why I'm here its not important," she waved her hand in the air to show how much her reasons for being out and about was. "I want to know more about you and your life," she said pointedly taking an interest in his project. Maybe he'd remember it later...cause he was drawing nothing but blanks at the moment, oh well. Kyouko managing to thank him and mention how she knew he'd enjoy company managed to summon forth a slight smile. The pink haired girl was genuinely a wonderful person in his book and he truly appreciated her and the company she provided. Rather than making things worse for him, she was the sort to try and make him comfortable which was nice. Becoming more social was tough outside of his family and Co---oh....that's what she meant by the leash comment.

....wasn't it the other way around? That's what it seemed like with how the emerald eyed healer treated him...whatever it may be, he had to focus on the here and now. Though...he couldn't help but frown when she said her whole agenda for the day wasn't important. Of course it was...she was important too, that was his view on it, she was someone with a worthwhile heart and soul in his life, but it seemed like she was persistent about him getting to open up more. As though this is what was important to her...more so than he initially thought. "...I...um...w-well...i-if you insist..." Taking in a deep breath, he exhaled softly and mulled over how to word it without sounding weird...

"...okay...so...uh...I'm working on a large collage, a collection of photographs taking place at different points of the day and seasons, showing the transition through walks of life and change...th-that's the short version..." Finishing those words with a nervous smile he offered a little shrug since...yikes, he felt like he dumped a whole speech on Kenji when he shared it with him. Plus, that summed up his project really well...
