"Hellooooooooo Akihabaraaaaaaaa~!" WOW patrolling here was like easy mode for vigilantes! Why didn't more folks roll through here?! Unless they had some huge reputation or something, he was a nobody in this crowd, but honestly? It was super fun! Some random folks would rush up to him and ask for a selfie when his vigi style caught their eye, making a little peace sign with the tip of his index finger against his cheek and the opposite hand on his hip while leaning forward for the shot!
[break][break]
This was like hella therapeutic and it was nice to forget some of his problems by posing for the camera with some folks who took the time to look cute! They all looked over at the picture, sharing smiles and laughter which was...nice...made him feel like he had friends for a hot second. Then the magic was over as he watched them walk off... "There they go..." Flipping his hair lightly over his eye patch with a slight smile, sliding his hand right on down to his cheek... "Same ol' same ol'...back to being the odd one out, flyin' solo, I guess..."
[break][break]
Kaiju mama Teruko...he liked to call his one sided crush a friend, but geeze, he was crazy, not delusional...she was probably just putting up with him to some extent or another. That's what it always boiled down to, didn't it? Some free entertainment and get bored of it to change the channel or whatever for something new. For now...he'd just enjoy all of those moments until he was thrown off to the side. Tapping his cane upon the pavement below as he walked along, he looked just fine on the outside, like nothing was wrong...his eye looking around at all the pretty, shiny, sparkly lights. Was there a way to get a do over with the kaiju queen of pastries?
[BREAK][break]
That was a bridge to cross another day...
[break][break]
Perking his head up, his brow popped up in an arch over something or someone...? Sir Eyin over here couldn't be too sure, but something about screams always got his skin crawling with paranoia. Maybe it's because he was so used to them as a result of making people suffer in agony whenever they crossed him...a reminder of those darker days and how he knew he wasn't the only monster that would roam the streets. Lifting up his cane, he quickly rushed through the crowd to investigate and make sure it was all innocent fun and games. At least if it was something bad, he wouldn't mind his teeth taking a bite out of crime!
[break][break]
.....LITERALLY!
[break][break]
Oh if he was in a better mood, he'd certainly have laughed over that stupid ass joke....

Akihabara. Known for its bright lights, the train station, and its wonderful otaku culture. But at night, it was so much more. The city's lights lit up against the night sky like a glamorous stage to its citizens and pedestrians. They were the actors to the grand play of life, its cycle beginning and ending with something new every day. Each of them had their part to play and their role was just as important as the next whether that be good or evil.
During the day it was busy, people carrying on their lives and earning to make ends meet. But at night, the city came alive with its citizens engaging in fun, partying, and wild nightlife. The clubs played pop music, flooding out to the streets and marketplaces of the city. The performers danced and sang in the streets, bringing joy to those who they met. To say the least, Akihabara was a grand play for those who looked upon it.
But every play has a dark part of the story. In the alleyways of this glamourous city, lied in wait the actors fo the darker scenes. These actors were so graciously freed from the cages thanks to the aid of the white-haired goddess they called Ishtar. And tonight, these actors known as villains and criminals to the world would put their play for all to see. A play that would bring fear and terror to the hearts of those who feared quirkers. The unseen world of Akihabara would open its scene, not to a happy moment, but one filled with screams and pleas.
"Please," begged the old man on the ground. "I will have your money next week, I swear." It seems that one of the older citizens had failed to pay his debt to someone. He couldn't be any older than sixty, probably a humble family man who owns a marketplace here. His pleas fell on the ears of his collector, the fear in his eyes wide as he wondered the possibilities of what would happen to him if he gave the wrong answer.
The collector loomed in the shadows, with an even bigger fellow behind him. If one were to do a size comparison, the collector was about four feet tall compared to the seven-foot giant. "It is quite simple how this works, old man," the collector said with a rough Italian accent. "You pay us for the protection every week, and your business keeps running like usual. Just because I was in jail doesn't mean payments stop. And right now you owe me and the gang here at least a year's worth of it."
"Yeah, you tell him big brother!" bellowed the giant in a goofy tone. Just from how the man sounded you could tell that he was the not so bright one out of the two. But he was definitely the muscle due to his overwhelming physique. “Shut it, you big ole’ oaf!” the collector barked at his brother. “Can’t you see we are in the middle of a shakedown? Do you want us to go back to prison?” The big one lowered his head in the shadows. “Uh, sorry big bro. I’ll be quiet as a moose.” He meant to say “mouse”, but his goofy voice got in the way.
The collector shook his head as he stepped out the shadows. This man was known as Tito Mang aka the Al Capone of Japan. He was a small-time quirker criminal with a gang of thugs who called themselves a mafia of the Akihabara district. His skin was tanned with his chin filled with stubbles. He wore a black suit with white pinstripes and shiny black loafers. He wore a black fedora with a white band on it and he had a cigar in his mouth, blowing out smoke as he spoke. But his face looked… saggy. It was thought it was melting off his skull, barely holding itself together.
“Listen, let’s get to the point,” he said as he signaled to the rest of his gang who stood in the shadows. They were dressed in black tuxedos and wore black fedoras just like their boss. They were at least ten of them and they had evil intent in their eyes. “You pay on time, nothing happens. We all go home with smiles and eat some pasta. But if you don’t… well, let’s say your child won’t make it to her next school day, khopesh?”
He blew out a ring of smoke as the larger man stepped out, cracking his knuckles. This was Big Jimmy, the brother to Tito, the main muscle of the group. He had most of his teeth missing and he was a bald fellow. He wore a large white dress shirt with a black vest and slacks to complete his gigantic outfit. He wore a dumb smile on his face, as though his next meal was delivered to him. He loved it when his brother was in charged and he loved to be back out in the open to cause more pain. He thought it was a game that he played with his brother all the time.
“So, what’s it going to be?” Tito said looking at the old man. The old man said nothing, panic filling his eyes. “It's a sad day when don't get what you want. And for you it, will be the life of you and your family. Well, so be it. Jimmy, do what you do best.” The big goofy man walked forward. “Oh boy! Big brother gave me a new toy to play with,” he said in a goofy tone.
The man screamed in terror as the giant closed in on him. But the screams didn’t matter to Tito. Ishtar gave him a chance at freedom, and with the money he collected from those who owed him, he would back in business and get a chance to work with the villainess with his elevated name. He would be the big dog on top of the world of villains. Maybe he could get the young villainess as his new woman after this. What a wonderful thought! And no one was going to stop him.

... it's not a big scene, right? IT WAS THE MAIDEN VOYAGE of Tobias’s alternate alter ego, Scoria. Covered head-to-toe in his obsidian outer-shell, he walked down the streets of Akihabara on patrol, molten eyes regarding passerby’s with scrutiny. (Though, truth-be-told, Tobias was squinting because he wasn’t wearing his glasses…) He was garbed simply in a fitted, black tank-top that showed the odd-angles that the obsidian shell jutted-out at, while his legs drowned in olive-green cargo pants. Around his neck, a long, thin chain at the end of which dangled his pro-hero badge, across the bottom of which the word “SIDEKICK” was emblazoned.
Tobias hated the casualwear with a passion, but until they came-up with alternate alter-ego’s “look”, it’s what Tobias was stuck wearing. He felt so… under-dressed. So unprofessional. And, to make matters worse, he was posing as a sidekick.
A scream pierced the air—a man’s voice, by the sound of it—slick and pained. And, since Tobias was on patrol, it was his duty to answer it—
The obsidian gentleman broke into a jog, running towards the source of the noise. His rubber-soled shoes smacked faintly against the pavement.
Soft sniveling pricked at Tobias’s ears, snagging the gentleman’s attention. As he descended upon the alleyway, his eyes would fall upon the form of a cowering, trembling man, over whom two Mafioso-looking “gentlemen” (this term being used very loosely) loomed.
“Gentlemen!” Tobias greeted, raising his baritone voice echoing off the walls of the alleyway, “Good evening.”
Time to test his mettle, he supposed. The stony-skinned man stepped into the alley, his luminous eyes seeming to glow brighter as he slipped into the din.
Tobias hooked his thumb around the chain around his neck, pulling the badge out from under his shirt. The badge glinted in the half-light.
“Sidekick Scoria,” he introduced himself, cracking a molten smile before tucking the badge in once again, “…kindly stop in your assault of this man, and come quietly, please,”
The golem halted his approach a few meters away, his hands clasped behind his back, “I’d rather not use force.”
His gaze dropped towards the still-rumpled man, the apparent victim.
“Are you alright, sir? Have you sustained any injuries?”

Awwwwww shiiiiiiit!
[break][break]
MAN! This was a hella ruckus he was stumbling on in the alleyway! Plus, some obsidian coated dude! Cool, big ruckus between a vigilante duo should be fine, right? Scooting up next to his fellow, heroic gentleman and impromptu partner of the hour...he noticed something around the guy's neck like...what? ...aw shiiiiiiiiiiiiit part two, cause ooooh yeah he wasn't a vigilante.
[break][break]
That badge was too legit to quit, friiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick! Okay, okay...! Lying about shit wasn't his thing, so he had one of his own truths lined up in the rolodex, ready to go which is he didn't get his badge yet! WHICH WAS TRUE...it...was just a matter of time...y-yeah...totally. Oh boy, here we go! "Thaaaat's right, boys! Surrender now and come along peacefully~! They may not have given me a fancy badge yet like Scoria here, but the hero in training, Sir Eyin, doesn't mind taking a bite out of crime~!"
[break][break]
Tapping his cane upon the ground with a smile to finish off those playfully, confident words with a smirk...he reached up to tilt his lil' floating top hat and lightly bowed his head. Alright, boys...let's see if the universe was on his side tonight...at least he was covering this Scoria guy while he was checking up on the old man. If these guys tried to be sneaky, he'd definitely leap into action without hesitation by flinging his top hat at whichever not so wise guy wanted to try their hand at a cheap shot! Cause hey, they both warned em', so any funny business from them and the Tooth Fairy wouldn't hesitate to defend and protect these two. Not like the sidekick needed his help but whatever, two's better than one!
[break][break]
Plus, there was a civilian to defend!

Flashback.
"We have a few minutes before the cops arrive," Tito said his little, but huge, brother. "Remember, Big Jimmy. The perfect crime is the one that pays the most." Big Jimmy jumped up and down like a kid in a candy store. "Oh boy, Oh boy!" Jimmy said with a goofy smile. "What are we going to do with all the money, big brother." Tito smiled at his big oaf of a brother. "Whatever we want, you lovable oaf," he said, patting his shoulder.
Tonight was a good night. He didn't even feel like calling his brother an idiot. They had gotten a tip that a good shipment of weapons was coming into docks. With that much power at their fingertips, they would be the top gang of Japan. Even the number one villains would have to bow down to him. The favors, the money, the respect. These were the things that Tito could gain from this score. All they had to do was play cool.
He turned to his gang of thugs who were unloading the illegal shipment. Although he paid a couple of cops off, he wasn't sticking around for the goody-goody pros to show up and put them in cuffs. "Hurry up, you lazy bums," he said to his crew. "We ain't got all night. The quicker we get this shipment, the sooner we will be rolling in dough." The gang cheered as they sped up the unloading process. Nothing could ruin his night. Except for one thing. Someone had been waiting patiently in the shadows for them.
"Well, well," the voice called out from the shadows. "Look at what we have here. A couple of thugs breaking the law." Tito and their gang stopped what they were doing to look around for the mysterious voice. "Who said that?" Tito demanded. "Show yourself. Be a man." The man stepped out fo the shadows. He was wearing boxing clothes made of gold. He had four golden arms, fists that could punch through a diamond. He stood tall before the gang and looked them with the eyes of determination. "The King of Fists is the one who said it," said the man with a smile.
End of Flashback
The tall obsidian man stood before him, his badge slinging around his neck as though he had some authority. Just like the golden man from the night he got arrested. He remembered being arrested that night by that freak. And now, here was another one. Two of them as the man with the top hat came on the scene. "Well, look at what we got here boys," Tito said, pointing at the tall obsidian man and the dapper-looking lad. "Two freaks trying to play the heroes. Look like the real ones to scare to come to do their job." The gang laughed at their boss's call out.
The old man answered Scoria. "I'm okay," he said overjoyed. "Please I need your help-." Tito interrupted. "Oh pipe down, you lily-liver cheap scape. In fact, why don't you take a nap." He slapped the man into the nearby brick wall, knocking him out cold. Man the nerve of some people. Interrupting a business transaction. Tito turned his attention back to the men who dare try to stop him. "Listen, I don't know what part of the alley you came down in. But this is my town. We ain't going to "come quietly". In fact, you gonna a whole lot of ruckus from us." Jimmy started jumping up and down. "Oh boy, oh boy!" the big fellow said jumping up and down. "I gonna get some new toys to play with and-." "Shut it you big goofball," Tito demanded, looking fustratingly at his brother. "Not in front of the guests." The big man clapped to his giant hands to his mouth. "My bad, big brother," he apologized goofly. "Quiet as moose."
He looked over to one of his subordinates. "Hey you," Tito said. "Take care of them." The man nodded as he rushed the two down. He was prepared to take down for the glory of his boss. That was until a top hat hit him in the face. The sudden surprise caused him to trip and send him flying into the nearby trashcans. "Really?" Tito asked in disbelief. "What the hell do I pay you mooks for? Foiled by a fancy hat. I never thought I see the day."
Tito shook his head at the scene. "Anyway," he said to the rest of the gang. "Ten million yen for the man who brings me their heads. And oh. Bring me the big one's badge. I want the other so-called heroes know what happen when they cross the Al Capone of Japan." The gang cheered as the men of ten picked up metal pipes and knives. They charged the duo, with killing intent on their minds.

...it's not a big scene, right? TOBIAS HARRUMPHED SOFTLY, A WRY smirk twisting at his lips as the goon tried to get a rise out of him. To assume that sidekicks were not “real heroes” was a gross mistake… and not just because these sidekicks were not really sidekicks.
Well, at the very least, Toby wasn’t really a sidekick. He couldn’t speak for the “Sir Eyin” that soon joined him. Tobias only really dealt with the pro’s themselves, so as far as he was concerned, the dapperly-dressed blonde was a sidekick.
How unusual, though, that he was thrust into the field without a badge—wasn’t that a liabi-
Before our obsidian hero could give Sir Eyin too much thought, the villains attacked the civilian.
Tobias lunged into action as soon as the blow was dealt—he needed to get the civilian out of their reach, and he needed to neutralize the threat. The obsidian golem smirked as the flunkies grabbed pipes and knives—what a wonderful time to be obsidian mode, where his durability could spare him from most of the damage their attacks might deal.
If anyone came within range, whether they lead with knife or metal pipe, Tobias would clasp it with his bare hand, using the momentum of his attacker to pull them off-balance and throw them to the ground.
“I was hoping that we could do this peaceably,” Tobias said, raising his voice so that the boss could hopefully hear him, “Rather than mopping the floor with your underlings.”

These goons were so annoying! That visible, golden eye of his narrowed into a squint as he kept an eye on these chumps, relieved he didn't trust them for a second. More so since he actually bought the obsidian sidekick guy, Scoria, some time by smacking someone in the face with his little top hat. Not like the guy needed it from what he could tell since it seemed like holy damn, he was hella trained for sure and competent as hell soooooo he could probably steam roll these guys without him. You know what, though?
[break][break]
The blonde was already here and there was a civilian to protect, so he figured handling these folks swiftly and quickly was the way to go! "These guys couldn't catch a hint with their face, of course they can't be peaceful!" Finishing those snappy words with a huff, blue flames engulfed his hands as he rapidly manifested a series of blunt little bullets made of teeth to pelt their thug enemies. If those bullets made contact with the goons, they'd not only be hitting with a good amount of force, but also latching to the back of their clothing to pull them down to the ground. At least with Scoria aiming to knock some of these goons off balance, if those tooth bullets succeeded, that would probably heighten the rate of success!

Before Tito could react, the obsidian guy moved towards the civilian. Half of the men tried to put him down with metal pipes only for the attempts to met in futile as the metal bent against the black-rock skin of the obsidian behemoth. They gave a look of realizing a mistake before the heroic sidekick sent them flying into the wall. The other half of the gang was coming to help the others only to be met with tons of teeth bullets, pelting them with a ton of force, sending them careening into the trash and walls. Tito stared at his gang as the obsidian fellow picked up his captive. His worthless gang taken out by two guys coming out of nowhere. "I can't believe this stupid crap," he said putting his hand to his head, rubbing his temples in frustration. "A simple shakedown and my gang get their asses to them by a rock monster and the Tooth Fairy. You gotta be kidding me." It was just like the night he got arrested all over again. He couldn't believe his luck. But he would be damned if he was going back to prison. Jimmy looked around panicking. "What do we do now big brother?" Tito looked at his brother, jumping up to slap the giant's back head. "What else, you big oaf? Fight them back and show them who's the town it is." As the heroes finish off the remaining gang, they would be able to see Tito pull off something... weird. "Time for a new suit Jimmy," he said, putting his hand at the back of his head. Tito grabbed hold of what appeared to be a golden zipper at the base of his neck and began to unzip himself like a suit. The mafia boss flopped down to the ground, like clothes being thrown on the floor. "I'm on it, big brother," Jimmy said with excitement. He grabbed his brother's floppy skin and began putting him on- like an actual suit. Jimmy sipped up the skin, concealing himself inside. It was still Tito- but his as large as his giant brother. "This my quirk," Tito said putting back on his hat. "Suit Wear. I can be put on like a suit and I take control of one willing person. And my idiot of a brother is perfect! With his strength and my brains," he added cracking his knuckles, "you two wannabes will be sleeping with the fishes."

...it's not a big scene, right? HE REALLY LOATHED BRAWLING OUTRIGHT, however well Tobias might have been carrying himself at the time. He was supposed to be The Man in the Chair, the brains behind the operation, not engaging in some slug-fest with thugs that didn’t have two brain cells to rub together.
That being said… Tobias couldn’t help but smile when the obvious leader referred to him as a “rock monster”. Huh. Not the most creative naming scheme, was it? Tobias had wrenched one of the metal pipes from one of the goons, and used the implement to deflect any blows from similar weapons.
The… skin-suit was… really gross, alright? There wasn’t a lot that could cause Tobias to lose his carefully-crafted composure, but he’d never seen one man don another lie a costume, like some weird, fleshy onesie, and—the disgust was clear as day on Tobias’s obsidian mug.
“Quite the, uh… quirk you have there,” Tobias said through a barely-contained grimace, “At least I won’t need to worry about who to cuff, now.”
The threat was said devoid of his usual vigor. Tobias spun the crushed pipe in his hand, before clasping it firmly, his brow sinking low over his molten eyes.
Having dispensed the goons from service, they’d now have to deal with… the skin-suited quirker.
“I saw you making bullets,” Scoria murmured to the dapperly-dressed interloper, “What else can ya do? Anything that can restrain or hinder?”
Tobias didn’t think it wise to charge haphazardly in, but if they took this guy as a team… well, they might actually be able to take him.
