Luzia groaned as she rubbed her eyes, practically dragging herself down the sidewalk, actually slipping once on a particularly large crack that was definitely better be on the city's repair list. Still, she recovered easily, rubbing her neck as she kept walking. Seven fucking thirty... the sun was way too bright, the heat was way too high, and it was stupid early to do shit. Fuck the sun for two reasons, but also fuck this lady for not staying open all night. Not to mention fuck her for being in Musutafu. Seriously, Luzia hated this place; it was too close to that damn UA school, too close to those fucking students, not to mention Musutafu didn't have half the shit Tokyo did. What did Musutafu have? A school? A skating rink? Some seafood restaurants? Ahhhhh, fuck it!
Luzia stopped suddenly, pulling out her phone. The first thing she did was check over herself, to make sure that her outfit was fine; with Niso's cute little apartment not having much do it, she used some of her leftover money to buy herself a couple outfits, and maybe it was because she was angry, but she wasn't dressed in her usual dress or anything even like it; she was dressed in denim short-shorts, a midriff-baring top with holes, and a fishnet underneath, not to mention sunglasses to keep the stupid sun out of them. Just for fun, and for something a little different, she had spiked bracelets and a spiked collar on, too, going for more of an angry punk look than her usual cuteness.
After checking herself over, she turned her phone on, getting through the cutest boy ever - with a spoon of cereal in his mouth and his eyes wide - with a few flicks of her thumb in order to get past her lock screen, and confirmed what she already had a funny feeling about; she was getting close. Just one more block, and she would be at the place that was gonna close real soon... Eclispian Florists. Just the name, just thinking about it pissed her off... but not because of the shop, not because of the name.
Saint Marta's. Saint. Fucking. Marta's.
A horrible place in every way you could imagine, a place that she never wanted to think about again, but here she was... thinking about it. A lot. Memories of that fucking place coming back, making her want to claw her hair out of her head. She growled as she kept walking, pulling her bag off of her shoulder so she could pop a couple more pills. They needed to kick in fast. She could swear that they did, but here she was, still pissed the fuck off at everything.
She opened the door, and gasped softly. She had forgotten just out sweet the air would be in a flower shop... when was the last time she was even in one? She never really had the luxury of flowers, she played with them a few times, but she always had to go for clothes or food with her money. So many colors, so many shapes... small yellows, long reds, even whites spotted with black, and the air... oh the air...!
Luzia didn't notice it, but she started tearing up as she smiled. All of the anger, the stress seemed to melt away as she remembered one thing, one thing that made everything else seem unimportant. One thing that made everything worthwhile, one thing that made her heart flutter in her chest.
She was getting married.

"Now you make sure you get home safe alright?" Kado said to the pair of girls leaving her store through the back door. "And next time, ask before trying to do your homework in the break room okay?" she asked with a smirk, the two part-time staff high schoolers looking admittedly sheepish before nodding and heading on their way down the street.
She didn't mind them doing their homework whilst they're at work, but a little heads up would be appreciated when that homework involved chemistry.
Kado rolled her eyes and chuckled before heading back into the store proper, raising an eyebrow as the door bell went off which signaled a new arrival to the store. She wasn't expecting anyone in particular, and she didn't usually get any customers this close to closing time.
"I swear, if that's Ito trying to drag me out for a drink, I'm going to turn him into a "Wizard Of Oz" display piece for my poppies." she grumbled before rounding the corner into the shop proper, spotting a young punk-looking girl with a head of bright pink hair.
She clearly looked enraptured with the interior, and soon enough the pieces all clicked into place for the red-head. "Ah, you must be Luzia, the young bride-to-be yes?" she asked, recalling the little announcement in the "villains" chatroom. She still had to figure out how that had appeared on her phone, and who had created it... But that was a mystery for another time.
Kado made her way to the door and flipped the sign from open to closed, and applied the appropriate locks. "Don't worry. Just making sure that we don't get interrupted by some last minute shoppers. Or any other annoyances." she explained as she made her way over to the counter and leaned on it. "I will admit, I was half expecting your fiance to try and rob me again." she said with a smirk.

"Ah, you must be Luzia, the young bride-to-be yes?"
Luzia blinked out of her misty-eyed, ripped back to reality with a fearful skip of her heart. She remembered that the world was a lot darker than Niso and marriage, her fingers curling like claws as the owner walked past her and locked the door, making her even more uncomfortable as she readied herself for a fight. Being called Painter was one thing, but being called by her actual name by a stranger, a stranger that knew she was getting married, meant that....
"Wait... you're...."
She blinked, realization making her relax her fingers, which were halfway towards creating a light show. She had been afraid, concerned, and ready to fight, but then she realized; if she knew that, then she had to be a villain, that was the only way she could know that she was getting married AND her name. "Niso tried to rob you?" she parroted, tilting her head. It sounded like him, but if she knew Niso, and if he did that and she wasn't attacking her, then... then she could feel safe.
Luzia smiled softly, smirking in amusement. "That sounds like something he'd do. I didn't expect to be recognized so easily, though... heh, almost attacked you!" Chuckling softly, she turned away, walking deeper into the store, finding a particularly pretty pink flower and stroking it, smiling at the silky feeling of the petals, looking back to her. "You're Kado, right? Ummmm...." She tilted her head, trying to remember the information that frog guy gave her. "Verdure in the chat, right?"

Kado could see the girl was on edge, but kept herself relaxed. From what she'd seen in the chat, this girl was no idiot. She was smart, she could put the pieces together before she tried something stupid like attacking a florist who could summon a plant-based beast in her own flower shop.
And that's exactly what Luzia did. She began to put the pieces together, and the red-head smirked when she asked about Niso attempting to rob her. "That bouquet he brought you. Originally he tried to steal it, I caught up to him, we got to talking, I let him keep it as a gift." Kado explained, practically watching the dots get connected in the pink-haired girls head. "As for recognition... well, he gave an almost vivid description of you when we discovered we'd all been in the same hell hole."
When Luzia asked her name, both names, Kado gave a nod. "Indeed, Kado aka Verdure. Welcome to my shop, Eclipsian Florists." she said, affirming the introduction with a bow of her head.
"Glad to see it brought a measure of peace when you walked in by the way." she remarked. "It took a while to cultivate the right scents for the entrance. Doesn't work all the time mind you, but about... eighty percent of the time it does the job." Kado mused, leaning forward a little from behind the counter. "Even when people don't realise its happening." she said with a smirk.
She leaned back once more. "So, what brings you by? Want some tea maybe?" Kado asked the younger woman.

Luzia smiled softly, putting some hair behind her ear as she thought about that beautiful bouquet... it was so perfect, so colorful, so much pink, but with whites and reds to make the pink not be too much. It was so beautiful, so perfect, that she had thought that he had specifically asked for it to be custom made for her... but no, it was the sweetest coincidence in all the world, huh? "Gooooooooooood, my boyfriend... my fiance," she said, correcting herself, "is so perfect~!" She squealed softly, giggling happily as she put her hands on her cheeks. He saw a bouquet that reminded him of her and stole it just because he wanted to see her smile! "Ahhhhhh-hahahahaha! He's such a romantic~!"
"As for recognition... well, he gave an almost vivid description of you when we discovered we'd all been in the same hell hole."
Luzia froze, and in a single instant, no, half an instant, her excitement vanished. Her blood went cold, and her heart, for a moment, just stopped. Her mood dipped entirely, so much so that even her hair seemed to droop over her eyes as she wwas reminded of that place, of being reminded why she was here. Kado spoke, but she didn't listen; all of a sudden, she was all but flashing back to that horrible place, flashing back to going there, the fear and the confusion of being fresh in the country with no one, and then the first few nights of sleeping on the floor just because she wasn't allowed to sleep in a bed....
And that was only the beginning.
Her anger flared up, her hands squeezed into fists. She hated that place so much maybe it should just burn to the ground... Niso always did have the best ideas.... Luzia suddenly stood back to her full height, fixing her hair and opened her mouth, but instead of words... nothing came out. She blinked; she was supposed to invite her to the burning, but she couldn't get the words out. It was a simple idea, just say 'hey, we're burning the place to the ground, wanna join us?', how hard was that? Luzia opened her mouth again, but nothing came out, and she sighed and grumbled to herself.
Instead, she smiled weakly, turning back to Kado. "Sure, I'd love some tea, thank you~." She could start with tea, she supposed, then maybe she can force it out of herself.

Oh bollocks. Kado recognised that look on Luzia's face from her own mirror, and immediately regretted mentioning Saint Marta's even by reference. When the girl accepted the offer of tea, the red-head began to guide her to a set of stairs that led up to the next floor and more specifically her apartment. "I've found it easier, and cheaper, to live where I work." she explained to the pink-haired girl as she walked up the stairs. "It also helps that I own the building, so I only have the one set of bills to pay." Kado admitted before opening the door at the top of the stairs into her apartment. Her apartment was effectively one large studio style setup. Along the left wall there were various glass containers, some large, some small but each of them contained a different type of plant inside. The right had several stained-glass windows that looked out onto the Musutafu shopping districts streets, and was decorated with seashell-like sconce lamps in the intervals between windows. There was a decent sized television in what looked like a living room slash dining room combination setup, with black leather couches and a medium sized low level wooden table. "Please, have a seat dear. Anywhere you'd like." she said, making her way over towards a bush she kept in there, plucking some of its leaves before putting them into a nearby pot. "What's the point in being a florist, if you can't have a tea-plant in your own home hmm?" Kado asked Luzia, almost rhetorically whilst also trying to help bring the girl out of the funk that she was in. "So, have you and Niso set a date yet for the wedding, or are you two still riding that high of the engagement bliss?" she asked, wondering if that might work better than her poor attempt at humour.

Huh, living where you worked... that sounded like a pretty good deal, honestly. No commute, and you got to hang around doing what you liked... or doing what you needed, if you happened to not like your job, but either way, it was a clever idea and she liked it. If she had a job, it'd probably be pretty cool to live where she worked.
When she got to the top of the stairs, she couldn't help but gasp at the room. It was beautiful! All of the plants and flowers, almost as pretty as the room downstairs, but the stained glass windows were even prettier, and she immediately ran over to admire them, gazing at them and the very pretty lights a moment before looking down through the glass and looking out. A faint car horn came from below, but it was hard to tell which car it was, but the jam was dissipating anyway, so her attention was brought back to Kado talking about a tea plant.
"Heh, makes sense." She was similar; her quirk was neon, and she liked to have neon lights instead of regular ones, though she still wasn't sure if it was because of her quirk or because she just liked them, not that she really cared much either way; it was too much thinking for her so she just kept them around either way. Luzia walked away from the window, flopping face-first into the couch, nuzzling into and taking a soft sniff of the leather, a pleasing aroma, before rolling onto her side and staring over at Kado, smiling, softly at first, but grinning more and more as she thought about her amazing husband-to-be.
"Are you kidding?! You're lucky I'm even here!" She giggled slyly, her eyes falling half-closed in a suggestive expression. "Only something suuuuuuper important would peel me away from that amazing guy, and you just happen to be that today~."

Well her apartment definitely seemed to perk her up, and judging from the way she was acting on the couch she was definitely back to her usual self. Kado smirked at Luzia's bedroom eyes she was throwing her way, pouring the tea into the two porcelain cups she had prepared. "I can well imagine how lucky I am." the red-head mused slyly as well with a smirk, stirring the tea to ensure that the flavours were firm throughout.
"It's a good thing your fiance has such strong regenerative abilities. Poor boy would be absolutely rung ragged by now otherwise." Kado said with a wink as she set the fresh cup of tea down on the table in front of Luzia. She took a seat for herself on the other chair, taking a small sip. Partially to test the tea itself, but also to show Luzia that it was completely harmless. She didn't know if the girl would be that paranoid about the tea, but better to be safe than sorry.
Kado could guess as to why the young bride had come to her shop today... but she hadn't had a chance to talk so freely with another girl before so why not tease a little bit. "Oh? And what reason would that be?" she inquired, before giving a faux gasp. "Is this a booty call? Getting in some last minute experimenting before you and Niso tie the proverbial knot together?" the red-head asked with half-closed eyes of her own and a sly smirk.

For a moment, Luzia's eyes fell down at the subject of his healing powers, remembering how angry they made her, and what she did with them... but she, quicker than usual, shrugged off those feelings. Her anger and guilt about the whole thing was in the past now; now there was just him being a total sweetheart, having fun with his quirk... she was still gonna worry, but that's all she was gonna do now. Besides, Kado had a point... she was definitely pushing those powers juuuuuust a little bit... she smiled dirty at that thought, still surprised at herself that she had peeled herself away from him.
Sitting up, she took the tea, blowing on it a little before sipping gently, smiling. Tea wasn't her favorite drink, but this was definitely better than most of the teas she had ever had, though it wasn't hard to imagine why; something fresh was always better, wasn't it? She was taking a deeper drink, actually gulping it down after cooling it down a little.
"Is this a booty call?"
Luzia choked on her drink, actually spurting it out a little bit, coughing harshly... but also laughing, snickering and giggling between her chokes and her gags. Finally, she recovered, beating her chest before taking a deep breath and smirking at her. "Experimenting?! Haaaa! I've already done girls! Though..." She paused for a moment, smirking a little wider as she looked up at down Kado. She was a very pretty girl... a nice bust, excellent curves, and her legs were notable too. "Are you offering...?" Giggling slyly, she leaned forward, tilting her head seductively. "You ARE very pretty... I especially like your hair... so long, and such a pretty shade of red, too....~." She growled playfully, leaning over the table a little and blatantly snacking on kado with her eyes.

There we go. the red head thought to herself as the booty call line worked exactly as she had intended it to. She did have such a lovely laugh, which meant that for the time being the shade of Saint Marta's was well and truly lifted from the young brides mind. Although perhaps her line had worked just a little too well, as she was now flirting with her!
Kado chuckled and leaned forward a little before trying to boop Luzia on the nose. "Maybe another time my little kouhai~" she suggested, deciding to play along just a bit before trying to get this meeting back on track. "We need to get your wedding decoration details sorted out first," the older woman pointed out, "and I don't heal nearly as quickly as your fiance." Kado said with a wink, taking another sip of her tea.
She set the cup down before pulling out a pen and notepad from a side pocket in the chair. "So a bit of a long shot question, but have the two of you decided upon a venue for the wedding?" Kado asked Luzia, folding one leg over the other as she prepared to take down notes. "Is there a particular colour or theme for the wedding?" She decided to try and stick to the easy questions for the time being.

Wait... she actually was interested! Pheeewwww... here she was getting married, and she had a hottie wanting a piece of this ass! Luzia could only grin at the boop to her nose, leaning back into her seat, licking her lips. Ohhhh, she could definitely go for someone like Kado... sure she liked guys, but she could go for girls if she wanted, and what a girl Kado was... ahhhhh, but she doesn't want it right now! That's fair enough, Luzia thought, especially since the subject was the wedding!
"Ahhhh, the wedding~!" Luzia made a high-pitched squeal, flailing her legs. "I can't believe it! I'm getting married~! Meeee! Who would've thought someone like me could get married?! I always dreamed of it, but to actually get there?!" Luzia flailed again, this time with all her limbs, before flopping onto her side again, grinning stupidly. She was so, so happy... but then, randomly, her head backtracked to about Saint Marta's, that demonic place that was the subject a lot recently, and her smile faded.
"No... not yet..." she murmured, answering both questions at once as she sat up again. She didn't want to talk about that place, but... she was here for a reason. Thinking about it burning, though, helped a bit, enough for her to take a deep, slow breath, opening her eyes again, narrowed a little with determination as she forced herself to say, "I'm not here for that, though. I know who you are, Kado; I know where you're from. And you should know... I don't like to admit it, but I'm from Saint Marta's too. I'm here because Niso wants to burn the place down, and I came here to see if you wanted to join in."
She held her breath, her resolve steeled, but wavering as she looked at Kado, waiting nervously for a reply.

This rabbit hole was definitely going to take some climbing to get back out of... It seemed that Luzia had a bit of an appetite, and once she thought she had a taste of something... But that was a bridge to cross later on perhaps.
Kado couldn't deny it though that Luzia was cute and adorable, as evidenced by the way she acted when the wedding was brought up. It was an interesting contrast to consider that this was the same girl who a mere moment ago looked ready to jump her bones. She genuinely felt sorry for, and a little bit envious of Niso that this girl was the one for him.
But much like a storm is want to do, the eye of peace was soon gone and the dark tempests of memory surfaced once more. Kado raised an eyebrow at the young girls words, putting the notepad and pen away for the time being as Luzia spoke. After the pink-haired girl was finished, the red-head sat there in silence for a while, simply watching her carefully through narrowed eyes... before an amused snort escaped her nose.
"The left hand doesn't tell the right hand much it seems." she mused with a chuckle. Kado took a drink from her tea before setting it down on the table. "Your fiance already proposed the idea to me when we met, the day he stole the flowers for you." the red-head began to explain to Luzia. "And my answer is the same now as it was then. Yes." she said, before turning her eyes towards the windows overlooking the streets below.
"I had suggested to him that we'd need to gather up more people first though." Kado admitted, watching as faint drops of rain began to stick to the windows glass. "No doubt we could ensure some damage between the three of us... But I want to make sure the children escape properly, that the files they have on us all are completely erased, that we get each and every single one of those bastards before they can escape us." the red-head began to explain as she watched the summer nights soft rain.
She brought a hand up to the choker around her throat unbidden, the old scar hidden beneath it tingling in phantom pain at the rage the memories brought to her. "They've evaded retribution for their actions this long, so they must have someone in power in their pocket. Who in turn will no doubt have some connections to the heroes running around..." Kado surmised, giving voice to her thoughts and theories.
"All they'll see is an innocent orphanage and its staff being destroyed unprovoked... And they'll hand the children right back to their waiting arms if they defeat us..." she snarled, some of the nearby plants beginning to quiver in tempo with her anger, her Quirk almost triggering without her conscious command.
"Those heroes will cause more suffering and create the engines of their own future demise, all because they trust the surface image all too readily." The words coming out in feral growls now, the petals of various plants flying loose from their containers and starting to swirl behind Kado's seat in a vortex.
Within that vortex could be seen the shade of Kado's Quirk if one looked hard enough. A draconic beast, waiting to be unleashed unto the world... But just as swiftly as the rage had come, it soon died down as Kado's fingers brushed against the gold and jade locket necklace that sat below the choker.
She closed her eyes and took a slow breath, the petals falling to the floor like nature's carpet. She took in another slow breath and opened her eyes. "Sorry about that... You know how it is..." said Kado, bowing her head towards Luzia.

"...Oh."
Luzia was disappointed... but also not. She was sad, but also proud; she had thought that she was being good, that she was helping that amazing boy by sneaking around - just a little, nothing too bad, honest! - and try to recruit people to his cause... this cause. She wanted to be useful, and she was disappointed that she was beat to the punch... but also proud, because Niso had been planning for this for a long time, and didn't waste any time getting there.
She blinked and looked over when she heard a couple drops hit the window. She didn't remember any forecasts of rain, but then, she hadn't been paying attention to the news lately; she'd been distracted with this. Plus, it was summer... summer rains liked to appear out of nowhere, and disappear just as fast... not that she was complaining, though; she always enjoyed a good rain.
Sipping her tea, she turned back to Kado, her brief smile fading as she went into why she wanted revenge, why she agreed to Niso. Luzia heard the anger and the grief in her voice, in her quirk as the whole room filled with petals... and it made her shake, it made her squeeze her fists tightly... but she wasn't afraid; she knew that that quirk wasn't gonna be turned to her. She knew she was in no danger.
Kado calmed down, and Luzia did the only thing she knew to do, the only thing that comforted her when she was down... at least, that didn't involve a needle or a bottle. She got up, walking over to Kado and gently, slowly, put her arms around her, pulling her close into her chest and squeezing gently. "Don't worry about it... I get it, I do...." She took a slow, deep breath, stroking Kado's hair softly.

There was something about the way that Luzia reacted to her answer that got Kado thinking. If her beloved fiance Niso hadn't told the pink haired girl that he'd already "recruited" Kado for this mission against the Saint Marta's Orphanage, and she hadn't arrived here for wedding preparations... How did Luzia come to know her real name, as well as her connection to that shit-stain of a hellhole?
As Luzia worked on comforting her, and Kado had to admit she was quite comfortable, she resignedly began to pull herself out of the current embrace with a sigh. "First of all, thank you." the red head said softly. "Although as the elder here, I feel it should be the other way around." Kado added with a slight chuckle.
"Second..." Kado's eyes began to turn cold as she regarded Luzia sitting in front of her, "if Niso hadn't been the one to tell you my real name, since you didn't know he'd recruited me to his cause, how did you discover it my dear?" the red haired woman asked the younger pink haired girl.
If this young lady had been able to locate her, along with her past connection to Saint Marta's then that meant there was a potential information leak she had to contain. She could not afford to allow such a leak to exist, as that thread could be followed back to all the eco-terrorist groups that she'd been "adopted" by in the past. Which in turn meant the government could make their move against her, and no doubt destroy this place in the process.
Her shop, her livelihood... her home. The one place that she could finally call it such after being abandoned at that damned orphanage. There was no way that Kado could permit such a possibility to remain.

Luzia would hug this lovely redhead forever if she wanted, but soon enough, Kado pulled out of one of her favorite things in the world, and Luzia gave her a supportive smile as she thanked her, backing away at the same time to return to her seat. She grabbed her tea on the way, plopping herself onto the couch and relaxing into iit, only stopping halfway towards sipping her drink when Kado asked her second question.
Her first response was to wonder 'who cares, does it matter?' but then she thought about it for more than a split second, and then she thought that she'd probably be creeped out in the same way. Kado was probably worried about an information leak... probably worried about her home. She would be, if she was in Kado's shoes... but she couldn't say, either; she had an agreement with the broker.
Leaning against her side, pulling her feet up onto the couch to get more comfortable despitie the awkward air, Luzia moved some hair behind her ear, looking away as she said, "I got an information broker. All I know is that he has eyes everywhere." Which was essentially true, she could guess how he got his information, but she let him do his thing while she did her thing. "Or mostly everywhere, at least. I mean, obviously I can't really sell him out or anything, ya know?" She sighed softly then, rubbing her neck awkwardly, looking regretfully at her. "I'm sorry... I know it's kinda creepy... but I just needed to know, I needed to find people from there to help Niso."
