A short while out from the main Tokyo city-scape, a dome shaped building with the logo of the Saikyuen company resided, a disaster-rescue simulation company that was working on extremely realistic disaster simulations for hero training purposes and potentially other emergency services, and hopefully the government contracts to go with them. Regardless, a few days in June it's services would be demonstrated to the students of UA as both Miss Kearney, aka RedHorn, and the student known as Curved Lightning would be using their facilities to create a more dynamic environment for the lessons they were organizing.
Today's lesson would be in the latter's catagory.
A third year, Reddarc, and a second year, Yuuto, would be given instructions to arrive a half hour apart. Yumi wanted to try and give the upperclassmen more time to prepare and didn't want the two being able to easily tell who they were facing so neither could get a good handle on the other with the prep time. She wanted each side to experience the other as 'on the fly' as possible and felt this was a good way to organize it.
Reddarc, arriving first, would be allowed to take in the special arena provided to them today. A cordoned off arena with holographic imaging lining the walls, giving the illusion of more space beyond them but just fake enough you wouldn't blindly run into one. Even then, there was plenty of room to work with! The main draw of the arena was the highly elevated platforms made of metal framework and subtle hints to it being some sort of futuristically designed oil rig, with pumps and pipework running through the frames, and several disconnected platforms loosely aligned by curving pipework that seemed like it pulled through only the essentials at a high pace, due to the fluid bends they followed and the slender nature of the pipes. Many smaller platforms focused in on the main rig in the center, a masterpiece of engineering... assuming it was even designed to actually work, a large central pump with multiple layers of metal platforms, with differing gaps between the layers, such that you could easily hop from one layer to the next without much loss of momentum.
The floor was dry and the lower half of the mechanisms clearly just cut off at the floor showing they didn't actually work and were mostly there for design, maybe loaded with pyrotechnics for disaster scenarios. Arriving first, Reddarc would be given small instructions on how to alter the 'scenario' should they choose, including being told where to strike the structures to promote destruction, toppling of platforms, or even some large scale explosions, should he so choose. By Yumi's request, every upperclassmen would also be given the option to don a 'villain costume' to fill the role for their underclassmen. An option only, of course.
For Red? She'd made a Vergil cosplay. Because she couldn't resist.
When Yuuto arrived, water would begin to fill the arena, flooding it a good several meters deep, the platforms still elevated high above the water, Reddarc could be in hiding, or proudly standing ready to face his foe, it was down to him as he was granted full control over the scenario, Yumi secrely just watching with the Saikyuen reps from an observation room.

"............I dont know if i regret this yet or not." Red would mumble to himself, lazily making his way towards the building Yumi had told him to show up too. He probably would have showed up late but for some reason she insisted that he actually be on time once for this thing. He was still cutting it close though, he had to be honest......mostly due to some....weird feelings of dread. He didnt know, maybe it was the fact that he was getting very suspicious of any company working with quirkers these days, due to a certain CEO. Or maybe it was the fact that he could have been out finding out stuff about Ishtar or Fix instead of....wasting his time here, really.
He'd really only signed up cause it was Yumis idea and he was helping her figure it out. Maybe it was to offset her paranoia about people signing up, maybe it was cause he wanted to have a little fun. Maybe it was cause he'd actually wanted to help a couple of the kids out. But now he....ehhhh.....he didnt really....care that much anymore, to be honest. Well, he did but.....not as much as he was probably supposed too.
Still, he had to put on a good show, to make it look like he did. It'd probably annoy Yumi really hard if he'd signed up and then not really participated, considering how much work her and Mia had put into it. Plus, she'd probably be watching so.....he had to make it look good for her, atleast. Even if this wouldnt really make him all that much stronger......then again......hmmmmm.....
Once he actually got to the place, he met up with Yumi and she gave him the grand tour of the place. He tried to listen to most of it but his brain just....wasnt up for it today it seemed. He got the gist of what she was saying though. The place was running disaster and rescue scenarios, using hologram tech and pre built sets to simulate a buncha different events. Guys were hoping these new ones they were gonna be running would get em the big government money cause they were designed for Heroes and the emergency servives specifically. Sounded nice but......Eh, he didnt know.
Either way, eventually Yumi would show him to where he'd be beating the shit outta someone today. Once she opened the doors, Reds eyes lit up a little bit. He was gonna be fighting on a mock oil rig, and apparently was allowed to fuck with it however he wanted. Lights, pyrotechnics, blowing the platforms sky high or knockin em over, whatever he wanted. Apparently he was gonna be acting as the villian here which was....Ironic, but he was fine with it. Plus, Yumi had made him one.....which he....uhhhh...
"......Yumi this isnt a villian costume. This guy isnt a villian" He'd bluntly state, as she handed him a coat and some pretty posh looking clothes that he recognised instantly. If he was in any other state of mind he probably would have laughed his arse off, but he wasnt in the mood for it right now. Besides.....he already had a coat to wear, he wasnt gonna take that off for the life of him.
Yumi'd probably pout a bit at that as he handed it back to her pretty quick, but it was fine. He apparently had a half hour to fuck with this place as much as he wanted so.....he was gonna get the lay of the land. First off was how much pyro he had, which was.....a lot, honestly. He'd have to redirect some of it to the upper floor of the main rig, for....reasons, along with a couple spotlights, but he'd still have a shitload left over......though he could have done without the guy watching over his shoulder like a fuckin hawk. It was kinda fuckin distracting. ".....Seriously ive done this before, im good." He'd complain.
Second off was how much water was gonna be flowing around. He'd been told that the water was gonna fill the place once whoever he was fighting showed up, but Red asked if he there were switches around for him to alter the flow, so there was a risk of water exploding onto someone. Once he got his answer he'd ask if he had any oil on hand for....you know, setting the water on fire. Or atleast something to make it look like it was on fire.
Lastly, he needed the light switch. Luckily he could set it to whenever he wanted time wise, which would be very useful for him. Plus he was allowed to fuck with em mid fight, it looked like. Couldnt change the setting, but he could turn it on and off, so the only light sources would be the red emergency back up lights on the rigs themselves....which was more than perfect for what he wanted to do here.
He'd make a few more slight modifications to things, including some of his gear....and the requestion of the speakers for the place. He had a few ideas on how he could use that, but it'd probably depend on who he fought......all he needed was to link em up to his phone so he could play whatever he wanted without having to wait 5 minutes for the guy in the booth to figure out which music track he meant.
Anyway, eventually, everything would be set up. Red was standing on top of the main rig, waiting for his opponent to arrive. He'd turned the lights off, so that neither of them got to see eachother. The only light would be from the outside, and there was a spot clearly marked as a starting position for em, well below Red. Slowly, the door would shut, and they would be in darkness for a few seconds......
Until a few spotlights would blind them, focusing on their area. Slowly, the lights would start to turn on, going from pitch dark to a twilight setting, with the sun slowly starting to rise behind Red, as he looked down on his opponent, with an intimidating, cold gaze. The pyro would go off around him, water flowing to fill the arena, with the spotlights showing the person exactly who they were fighting, even with the shadows on his face. And with that, the siren would probably go off, indicating the start of this thing.
"You ready to fuckin die, kid?"

Signing for this thing was perhaps the most easy decision for Yuuto since he was more inclined to test his mettle against an upperclassmen. There was a fair number of upperclassmen he wanted to fight but he left it up to the organizer of the thing to see what he was matched up against. Getting the shit bet out of him or vice versa is the name of the game here and he needs some well deserved stress relief with the string of weeks that have been plaguing the start of the new school year. The battles, the training, the breakout, the earthquake, all of it has been rather stressful. So this was perhaps the first opportunity in a while he can let loose. No way he can lose this, right? ....... A coin toss is a stomp or him getting his ass royally kicked. It took a bit of time for him to gear up as he got a new jacket that was sent by his sister that suited his tastes. After a recent growth spurt and hair style change, it was high time for a change in style. A punkish outfit that consisted of a dark blue hooded jacket, a tattered dark crimson shirt and black pants with military-style combat boots for good measure. The only weapon he brought with his was a sword he kept from his other hero outfit designs and the gauntlet that accompanied it. It was tailored for his tastes to a tee as he came to the meeting point where he was sent a message that guided him to the supposed arena. He listened to music while on the way there, as he was getting himself ready for whoever he was up against. Yuuto was never the type for surprises but fights like this make him excited to no end. Passing the time was no issue as he listened to music and texted Ran for anything new. Keeping her in contact was perhaps the best decision with all the trouble as of late. She was out of town when the breakouts happened and she doesn't know about him being on a hit list for a villain. Not the best thing but he didn't want to make her worry anymore than she does already. His stop would soon ring out and he got off the train and made his way through the crowds as he walked up to the large domed building where a worker had been expecting him. Ushering him in, he walked through the nicely built corridors where it slowly got more and more metallic until he came up to a huge metal door where he was told he was on his own from there. The doors of course opened up to reveal an elevator where it took up and the hum of it made the air even more tense. He put away his headphones and phone as he got higher and higher until it came to a stop. The door opened and a blast of wind hit his senses as he saw only a pathway and lit platform at the center. Echoes of his lesson with Redhorn rushed back to him as he walked on the extended walkway that connected to the arena that was lit only the lights from outside Anticipation rising as he wonder who is opponent is, he has some hopes but surprises always have a way to kick him in the shin. He wonders what the setting is going to be used as a battlefield. He wonders if are any traps or any environmental hazards because places in set in this arena.... Well thats how games worked in most cases, not too sure who he was up against as he didn't see any sign of them. But his eyes would slowly look up to see a figure standing high above, peering down on him as the lights were still off and it was impossible to see anything beyond his platform. Each step on the metal echoed for a hit as he entered the arena where he stood at the starting point of the arena as he heard the bridge behind him began to retract. The area was clearly marked as the starting point of the arena as he stood in as he took a look around to see everything was pitch black for a few moments. The sound of his heartbeat was all he can hear as he can feel himself being watched and with no clue on what the arena is. But in a sudden burst of light blinded him as lights shined bright to show unveil what the battle arena. An oil rig of all things as the arena started to show ever pipe, structure and part of the place. The pyrotechnics and the light from above lead his eye to see a figure as the sun began to shine from behind him. A familiar face that can be seen even with the shadows on him, it was Red. Yuuto stood there as he looked up at him with a determined look on his face. The extravagant entrance got his blood pumping and his opponent before him is a senior he always wanted to take on. Only words that came from him as he opened up this entire deal were rather simple and odd.'Was he ready to die?' Well with the current trend and situation, he would of course be scared of it. But being scared helped no one in the long run so he kept his cool as he decided to be a bit cheeky in his response to his senior. “ Is this a fight or an exam? I’m ready either way so best get ready for hell!”, Yuuto responded as he unsheathed the sword and held it in hand. As he twirled it in hand, he summoned Razor who stood tall behind him. The monstrous warrior pointing at him standing high above and giving him a thumbs down, he was set for the fight for the first move. “ So we're just gonna stand here or are we going to dance?”, he asked as his voiced echoed through the rig.
