Another round went by and once more Karen advanced at the expense of a classmate. Given the pattern so far, it was not much of a surprise that her next opponent was another fellow student from 1-A. With odds like this, their class was practically secured a slot in the finals. Truly it was a fulfilling experience for a class president to see her fellow classmates grow so much. But what of herself? Well obviously she was aiming to win it all. But did she actually grow enough to go home as champion? That's what the next two rounds were for. Although in the beginning she had been intending to come out with a different weapon every round, she found that she had gotten rather attached to the staff that she had been using until now. Well it wasn't exactly the same one as the first was broken and the second sustained enough damage that it was better to use a new one. It was more the feel of it probably. And with it being the semifinal, she figured she ought to just go with the weapon that had taken her this far. The classmate waiting for her on the other side of the arena was none other than Jack. If she had been fortunate enough to keep winning she had already expected to run into him at some point. In fact she would have been more unusual if he had been eliminated in earlier rounds. That just meant her recognition of his abilities was on point. He deserved to get this far... and maybe even further. She chuckled quietly. The stage they were given to work with was an interesting one as well. It simulated a volcanic area, with the terrain looking like it could break up at any moment. The surrounding area was covered with what looked like boiling lava. The only reason she could say it was probably fake and a simulation was because real lava would have produced a much hotter environment. Still it probably wasn't a good idea to test fate and touch it. But maybe she could find some use for it in the match. Walking up to the center of the arena, she greeted Jack with a familiar smile. "As expected of the Vice President. It would have been disappointing if you didn't at least make it this far~"
"Let's have a nice serious match Jack-kun~"Twirling her staff in hand, she then assumes a fighting stance, awaiting the signal to begin.

Jack rolled his shoulders and wings as he would begin to approach the stadium once more. Another round had come and gone, and while it was comparably less eventful in comparison to the first round, it was still enough to keep the dragon boy's blood pumping for Day 2 of the tournaments. He had the courage to actually win this thing, which is why he practically sprinted to the arena as the time for the next fight to begin came closer. Especially as he would recall who it exactly was that he was fighting.
Admittedly, he was half hoping to save this round for the finale, but if it had already been decided to come during the Semi-Finals, then he was by no means one to complain. Karen was someone who he had been working alongside with for the entire year, so he had grown to respect her and her abilities as a result. He knew well that if any fight was going to be equal, it was going to be one with her. He was also more than glad that she had made it this far, assuming that she also had a run-in with one of the other schools as well. If there was anyone able to win this thing, it would likely be either one of them.
All the more reason not to let the crowd down, he supposed.
He looked around at the arena they were set in this time around. He frowned lightly at this one, wondering if they had Jack in mind when it came to the design of this arena. Dragon fights in movies and games were often in areas like this...well, all the more fitting, all things considered. He did question, however, whether that was actual magma below them, but he doubted it. Too much risk of death then, he thought. Then again, he's seen plenty of weirder things.
As Karen also began to approach, Jack couldn't help but grin widely at her. "Right back at ya, amiga. Not fitting for either of the strongest in our year to lose so easily, yeah?" he replied as he approached. His hands began to morph into draconic claws, shimmering blue against the black scales of his hands. "That being said...all the more reason to be excited." He smirked up at his classmate, getting into his own fighting stance. His claws and teeth were bared, his eyes were already burning yellow, matching with the environment around them a little.
He exhaled a little steam through his mouth, watching Karen warily. He already knew that between the two of them, she was faster. To charge in headfirst would be foolish, and he knew that well. He would wait to see what she would do first, and be ready to try and counter whatever she through at him. Plasma arced around him, his chest glowing as plasma already began to build up inside of him. He smirked ever so lightly as she said to make it a serious match. More like a Sirius match, he thought, thinking about his hero name. Nonetheless, it all remained the same...it was now or never, he supposed.
"Let's dance, amiga!"

Oh was that really what he thought? After all the events she had participated in so far, there were at least a couple of others in her mind who had a fair shot at being the 'strongest' in their year in her opinion. Perhaps they were in the other semi-final match. She had elected not to look it up as she wanted to surprise her herself for the the finals, whether or not she made it there personally. But enough about that for now. It seemed Jack was ready to go. She was slightly disappointed that he elected not to transform into his bigger self just yet despite her declaration to have a serious match. Perhaps he wanted to warm up first. Well she wasn't waiting for that. She was interested in seeing a serious Jack, even if she had to drag it out him by force. At the sound of the bell, Karen's aura would flare up, coating her entire body and weapon, as she closed the barely 20-foot distance between them in less than a second. She was of course wary of the dragon boy's ability to attack with plasma from a distance but she wasn't giving him that chance. He was certainly free to try but she was sure she could get into close quarters before he could. There was little variation he could do against a frontal assault anyway so she was prepared to quickly zigzag past any attempts he made. Now the transformed Jack that she knew was pretty much tough everywhere. So it wouldn't be strange for her to assume that it would be more effective for her to aim for and attack where he wasn't covered in scales while in his human form. Specifically his face. A barrage of staff thrusts would be unleashed aimed at his head, utilizing her speed. She would apologize later if she ended up breaking any teeth. Aside from aiming for what she presumed was a weak point, her other goal was to control his focus and make him more wary of her weapon. Once she could direct his attention and set the pace of the match, she could execute the rest of her gameplan more easily. At this point she had yet to really lift off from the ground. Uncharacteristic of the typical flyer. But it was not needed yet. If Jack wanted to see the real shooting star then he would have to to show his true self too. For now, she was curious how he would respond, ready to step back if necessary.

Jack didn't really have much time to think as he eyed her down, but he did his best. What could Karen do? From what he remembered, her Quirk relied on her aura making her fly and durable...so that meant she would have to get in close to do any damage, even if the main problem with that was that she could do it quickly. An idea quickly began to form in Jack's mind, the dragon boy knowing that he would probably only have a split second to react, but, if he could just time it right...!
As the match began, Karen wasted no time in closing the gap. However, Jack didn't react. If he acted too hasty, for all he knew she would try to just send him off the ledge immediately. He conserved his energy for the moment, hoping to at least get in one decent hit before he transformed. He simply waited, his body tense as he tried to time his movements just right. The gap between them was there, but not un-counterable. Especially if she assumed he was just going to go in guns blazing, which she seemed to be.
As Karen then quickly went in for a flurry of attacks, specifically to Jack's face, the boy struck! Karen would manage to get in a good pole smack to the face, before he would suddenly grab at it the moment it connected! If successful, he wouldn't waste any time, gripping the pole with all of his strength so she couldn't grab it back, and fired off a sudden, full powered plasma shot from his mouth! His jaw hurt a lot from the strike, but if he could at least get in this first strike, it would be worth it.
Nonetheless, he would then attempt to yank the staff away from Karen, assuming at the least he had the advantage in the strength department. If she was smart at would at least try to let go, Jack would leave it at that and jump back a little bit, though would make it a point to throw the staff out of the ring behind him. If she didn't, for whatever reason, though, as he would try and yank it, he would also go in for a sudden right hook to her own face, as a light bit of payback for going for there immediately. Not that it was at full strength, of course; he decided after a split second to just go for broke and give his opponent what she wanted.
After whatever that exchange would be, Jack would take a deep breath, then let out a sudden roar, aiming to make the magma around him explode around him dramatically with the force of it. With it, a practical light show of plasma would explode behind the walls of plasma for a moment. As they would both fall, in the small boy's place was now a full-sized dragon! His scales and horns glimmered in the light the magma gave off, his yellow eyes narrowing as he gained his bearings.
With that, though, the mighty dragon would roar yet again, this time following another plasma shot from his maw at his opponent. This one was at a reduced strength, of course; he knew that she would likely just dodge it anyway. The plan remained the same; he just had a bigger frame and defense to work with. He would then await Karen's next move, hopefully sending off the message that he was prepared to counter if needed. He just needed to be sure she couldn't get off too many hits before he himself fell...his jaw still ached from that initial strike, even if his increased defense numbed it a little.

Surprisingly there was no attempt to take the initiative from her. She briefly wondered if she was simply too fast for him or if he had other plans in mind. Perhaps he was confident that he could take a hit and go from there. Anyway things were going as expected so far. Three different opponents, she attempted a staff rush. On all three times, they tried to grab her staff while taking her attack. So she wasn't the least bit surprised when Jack raised her hand to try and grab her weapon as she landed the first strike on his jaw. Now while he wasn't as fast as she was, he was still the fastest among those she tried this move on before. Their skills in close quarters weren't too far apart either. His willingness to take a blow was what allowed him to successfully grab her weapon as planned. But she made sure it was just the tip as she was also pulling it back after striking. The next move in this sequence was going to be a counter, employing their strength. Again unlike her previous opponents, Jack's power outstripped them by far. He probably thought he had her movements sealed with that grab and would go for something big. Well she certainly wasn't going to try and match his strength directly. Displaying mastery of her aura control, she would recede the coating just a bit so that she could snap off the tip without much effort, effectively freeing her. Meanwhile her follow-up movement was to quickly flip herself over and above his head to try and avoid the plasma blast. If all went well, then she would be floating right on top of him, his plasma ball grazing her aura shield near her legs as as she scrambled to dodge it. She still had her weapon in hand, though it was now a few inches shorter from the tip she broke off. Jack would then proceed to finally make use of his transformation. After a deafening roar that set off the magma field followed by a brief light show that she would be careful to not get caught up in, the dragon's true form would reveal itself. Jack had one of the flashiest quirks in their year hands down. It was impressive everytime she saw it. And now that she was going up directly against it, she could feel the thrill of the challenge. Just how exactly was she going to take it down? Well for starters she had to do a bit of research. The ball of plasma he fired after transformation seemed more like him testing the waters than an actual serious attack. The awkward position of being right on top of him made it a little easier to dodge than the earlier plasma blast. but now she would take this opportunity to scan the big guy for any weakspot she could possibly exploit by first flying towards his back right between his wings. She would smash her aura coated staff right down there on his spine, but this was probably not going to hurt him much even if it did hit. Her main objective was to see how Jack would try to counter from that position. It wasn't everyday that she fought someone so huge.

Jack snarled a little in annoyance as Karen quickly just snapped the tip of her staff off in order to avoid his plasma shot. It only barely managed to graze her aura, which obviously didn't do squat. So a direct approach wasn't the solution by any means; she was too fast for that. The only thing Jack had going for him in any regard here is his strength and durability; if that was the hardest she could hit, then it would take a lot to bring the dragon down. However, that didn't mean a whole lot if he couldn't hit her at all.
As Jack took the moment to transform, he tried to use the time to think about his next move. How could he deal with such a fast opponent? There's always a solution, no matter the odds. It was just a matter of trying to figure it out. He roared as he transformed, now also having a size advantage against her. Whether that would help him much is up for debate, but at least it was there. He fired off a warning shot, to keep her moving while he thought. He paid close attention to her movements, trying to think of anything he could do. Was there a pattern? Maybe he could just wear her down and bide his time? While he had some breathing room, he didn't have much time.
Karen would then try to fly right over the dragon, towards his back. While it wasn't exactly rocket science to figure out what she was trying to do, her pure speed made it difficult to try and counter. However, while he was bigger than before, if one were to assume that he was any slower himself, they would be mistaken. Jack would attempt to quickly jump to the side to at the least avoid a direct hit, but Karen would find herself able to hit the side of his wing in the process. While it was by no means the worst hit he's taken, it was enough to make the dragon exhale a puff of steam in response, and he snarled lightly. "Fast little puta..." he grumbled, not really thinking that some of Meara's brashness may have rubbed off on him from all the times they've sparred. Even a dragon could be impressionable, who knew?
It was then that something began to click. A direct approach for him was foolish; he needed to use his head more rather than rely on his instincts mostly. If she was faster, he needed to predict where she was going to be. If she doesn't have projectiles, there was only one way she could hurt him. It wasn't much, but it was most certainly the best he had for the moment. Whether it was the key to winning here, though, was up for debate.
Jack would tense his body for a moment, watching his classmate closely. It was all a matter of timing, he decided. He would wait for her to move, craning his neck all around to see where she was going. The moment she went in for an attack, Jack would fire off another weak shot at her, before aiming another strike right above or next to where she was going! It was a bit of a long shot to start with, he just needed to time his shots right the more he did it. However, his accuracy was rather sharp as well; it was all a matter if Karen could really see where his thought process was going. Nonetheless, he was taking time to learn her movements and strategize. Sometimes that's all one could really do in times like this. He was at the least thankful he had time to actually do so.

With the way Jack responded to her earlier attack, she already had some idea of the kind of speed he possessed. It wasn't enough to directly match her movements but if he could anticipate her actions, such as when he allowed himself to get hit, then he could somewhat keep up. In other words, it would be best not to get careless. This time was no different. A bigger target was certainly easier to hit. But the huge dragon was nimble enough to try and get out of the way. Well, size was still a decisive factor and Karen landed another blow nonetheless. It just wasn't where she intended. The resulting reaction however reminded her once more that she simply wasn't hitting hard enough. And she didn't exactly hold back either. Every attack she had attempted so far was one that might have seriously injured a lesser person. But she knew her classmate could take it. She was still glad for this opportunity to strike without restraint even though it was also a bit frustrating that it wasn't doing much. Naturally the big guy wasn't just going to stand there and let her hit him for free. Though he attempted to put some distance between them, Karen made sure to stick as close to his body as possible. She wasn't going to let him make use of his range. Looking up it seemed like Jack was looking for a chance to take shots at her again, his neck craning around. But this was going to be more challenging for him than he might expect. She didn't know how much he could bend or turn his neck around, but at this point she was using his own body so that he couldn't get a clear shot. Weaving under his wings and close to his legs, she would continue to look for possible weak points while ensuring there wasn't a direct line between his mouth and her location. Of course he was free to try and take a shot anyway. But given the size of his body and how quickly she was moving, he might just end up hitting himself. Was he durable enough to take one of his attacks? That was another piece of information she would be curious try and find out. To provoke him some more, she would attept to jab her staff at where his waist or hips would be. If he could hit her from there while avoiding his wings and his body, he would certainly earn a bit of her praise. Otherwise, she would use his size to block his own attacks, either hiding around his body or under his wings.

Jack frowned lightly when he would begin to notice that Karen wasn't really flying around; mostly trying to stick close to his body. He was going to attack, but firing off any sort of blast would be difficult with her doing so. He wasn't exactly wanting to take one of his own hits so early on. His eyes then narrowed slightly when he realized that's exactly what she was trying to go for. He questioned what exactly she was trying to go for in that regard; she would have a much easier time trying with guerrilla tactics, at least in his opinion.
Especially when her opponent's weakness wasn't exactly his size.
As Karen would start to jab into his side, rather than try to fire off a laser of any kind, she would quickly find herself getting jabbed in her back by something - his ever trustworthy tail! He supposed that she didn't likely know about how flexible not only his tail, but his entire body was. He was a weapon in his entirety; even if some methods were rather odd. He would hit her as hard as he could with the unlikely weapon, hoping to use the split second moment to knock her down to the ground enough to follow up with a nasty stomp by his front paw, aiming to keep her in place with his pure weight and strength!
He would dig into the ground with his claws as hard as he could, preventing any obvious way to escape immediately. "I'm going to be blunt and say trying to keep close like that was a bad idea," he snarled, looking a bit annoyed at the tactic than anything. He was much more than just a basic dragon or giant monster boss from a video game; he still retained any skill that he had from any other form, even if some needed to be adjusted. He was a little disappointed that Karen didn't seem to get that immediately.
If she tried to struggle, Jack would press down once more with his paw. If this were at all successful, Jack would wait to see what his opponent would really do. Even if she used her staff to try and escape, it could only last for so long. If she did manage to escape, though, Jack would again attempt to slash at her with his other paw at the ready! He would watch her carefully, now that he was much more aware of what she was going to try and do. After all, his tail wasn't exactly his end-all tactic.

She had thought that she had come into this match having Jack all figured out, but it seemed she was being complacent without realizing it. At least that was what was on her mind as she felt a sharp jab on her back when her classmate's tail smacked her down out of nowhere. It seemed at some point she had become rather fixated on his head and neglected to give attention to his other functioning limbs. And she should have known better too being someone who was regularly in contact with quirkers who had more then just a pair of arms and legs. She was sent crashong to the floor, a testament to her classmate's superior strength, setting her up for any follow-up move as he was literlally right on top of her. As his paw came bearing down she did the first thing that came to mind and propped her staff up to intercept it, with the other end of the stick stuck on the ground. This would prevent her from getting pinned although she would have to leave her staff behind under the dragon's foot as she rolled out of the way. Naturally the staff got crushed fairly easily as soon as she parted ways with it as it was no longer under her aura's protection. But her struggle here was far from over. He was anticipating she would escape so he had his other paw ready to take swipes at her almost as soon as she rolled away from the first one. This time she was paying more attention. She wasn't touching the ground anymore and flew "backwards" in the direction of his lower body area, away from the reach of his forearms that were trying to swipe at her. As she had already identified the threat of the dragon's tail, she kept a close eye on it too to ensure it wasn't waiting for her on the other side. "We'll see~ I haven't given up yet!~"She would remark hastily. Once she had evaded the claws, she would just fly straight up and attack with a flurry of punches at his belly area. She may have lost her weapon but she was typically a hand to hand fighter anyway so the series of strikes flowed more smoothly for her. This was yet another attempt to find a weak spot to focus on. And frankly if she connected, the feeling on her fists would tell her enough that she wasn't being that effective either. She wondered what would come after next. Would he shift over to the side and try to take swipes at her again? Or was the tail coming for round two? Either way, this was the most thrilling match she has had so far and she wasn't going to back down easily. Range was one thing, but having extra limbs to work with meant Jack wasn't lying when he said sticking close had its own dangers. Well, she would just have to draw more of it out and respond accordingly. She had her own tricks up her sleeve.

Jack couldn't help but smirk a little bit the moment he felt his tail smack Karen right in the back. Honestly, he wasn't sure how well that would have worked - he would have assumed his classmate would've already been wary of that. Especially with admittedly how often he allows himself to flaunt it about. He was admittedly a mixed bag of emotions when it came to his Quirk. On one had he was as prideful as can be in regards to any of his forms, but at the same time a bit regretful at it all. On the bright side...at least he was good at this.
As he attempted to pin Karen down, he could instantly feel the snapping of Karen's staff as she used it to get away in time. A low growl emitted from Jack's chest, but not necessarily a malicious one. He respected the quick thinking - he would have honestly been surprised if she didn't think of that. However, now it left her without her trusty weapon, especially as Jack made sure to swipe away the broken pieces out of the arena just in case, just as he had attempted to in his first round. Even a broken weapon had it's uses, and the dragon was more than aware of that.
As he swiped at Karen, he would make the comment on why keeping so close to him was a bad idea. However, Karen showed a lot of spirit, exclaiming how she wasn't about to give up yet. "I'd be disappointed if you did, heh," he replied, chuckling a bit. He honestly felt a little similar to how Karen did herself. His blood was pumping, his mind was in overdrive. It was more than just a battle of strength and skill - it was a battle of wits and minds as well. He did get quite wary of people always assuming him as someone who didn't think about what he was doing. Of course he did - he just didn't outwardly show it all the time. There was a reason his grades were as good as they were in all regards, after all.
After that little exchange, Karen would still try to stick close to Jack, now actually trying to stick to his underbelly. He raised a non-existent eyebrow at her, making him wonder if she had actually listened to what he said. Especially right there?? Even without his tail, there were still multiple ways to react here, all of them at least being somewhat effective. He thought about dodging for a second, before a plan started to form in his mind.
After all, she was technically right where Jack would want her, when he thought about it more.
As Karen would attempt to hit at him more, Jack's chest would begin to light up a brilliant azure hue, a clear indicator to the fact that he was about to fire off another laser of some kind. It was more of a pseudo fake out, however. He just needed her to try and get away. If she didn't get psyched out, he would attempt to try and wiggle around to avoid getting immediately hit, really only needing just a second or two to enact what he had planned. The moment that she would try to move, the dragon would strike! He would suddenly extend his wings a little bit, like he was planning on taking off, and hop up a little bit. However, instead of flying, Jack would spin himself sideways, trying to smack Karen away with his wings! His tail wasn't his only unorthodox weapon, after all.
If successful, Jack would then follow up by firing up at the sky, doing a neat little trick he had learned from training. A single, large plasma ball would rise up into the air, before exploding outwards, creating a sort of meteor shower all around him! If Karen wasn't careful with dodging, she could just as easily run right into another projectile! He hoped to deal a decent amount of damage with this tactic - if he could, he could hopefully try and wrap this up quickly.

After taking that hit earlier Karen had become extra wary of sustaining further unnecessary damage in the fight. This meant watching everything carefully and making sure she didn't lose sight of any of Jack's limbs and extra appendages. She still determined that it was best to stick close as the giant dragon didn't seem like he was interested in trying to crush her with his body even though he wa right on top of her. Instead as she approached to attack his belly area, his chest began to glow which momentarily made her wonder if he could also fire off an attack from there. The positioning was unusal though as given her current position he would be able to aim at her from his chest. She had his entire body giving her cues to his movements so she decided to proceed with her attack while making sure she could quickly retreat in case he decided to curl up or something. What happened next was a little different from her expectations. An attack from her classmate's chest never came but he had begun to wiggle his body in response to her punches. Was this supposed to mitigate the damage of her strikes or something? In the end it didn't feel like she was able to land any solid blows as the dragon's motions were oddly effective at preventing her from striking too precisely. But that wasn't all he was doing. After keeping his wings folded all this time, he finally decided to open them up. Her first thought was that if he was seriously planning to take this battle to the sky. Given his immense size, between the two of them, he was at the bigger risk of going out of bounds of the arena if he decided to fly. Anyway she already had a plan for when he would attempt to make big movements with his body. Specifically, her strategy was to use his own motions to make him lose sight of her. The moment he began to spin, Karen would fly in the opposite direction, quickly ducking under his outstretched wings such that when he was facing belly up, she was under him at his back. If he was thinking she would get caught by his body while it was turning, well he would have to move much faster than that to succeed. While this was happening, she would finally make use of her support items for the first time in this tournament. There was some rubble and broken pieces of the arena from when he stomped on the ground earlier. Karen would aim at the closest one with her line launcher, the tip latching on to it. She would then whip it upwards like a makeshift meteor hammer, aiming to strike the dragon at the back of his head while he was still looking up. Or if he was unfortunate enough to look down then it would go stright at his face. She had not previously shown being able to use a ranged attack like this so hopefully it would catch her classmate off guard.

Jack growled lightly in annoyance as Karen seemed to dodge his attack in it's entirety. While he respected her skill, at this point she was acting more like a fly - annoying and hard to hit. He needed a surefire way to try and knock her out of the sky for even a moment. It was just a lot easier said than done. Especially as Karen continued to fly around with speed that Jack couldn't hope to keep up with properly in his current form. It was possible, but with the amount of time they probably had, it was by no means an idea sitaution.
Jack went on the defensive for a moment as Karen would actually make use of her equipment for the first time during this match. He used his wings to quickly shield himself from the oncoming debris that she would throw at him. In the meantime, he was trying to come up with a solution. He could feel his energy dipping lower by the moment, and he was sure Karen was likely at the same point. He took a deep breath, trying to think.
Then, an idea struck him. It wasn't dissimilar to what had transpired in the first match - he just needed cover. And, luckily, their battle ground held a perfect solution. It was unorthodox, but it may well be enough. Jack, with his wings still covering his head, would suddenly fire a blast right at the ground! Steam, debris and fake lava would shoot up all over the place, creating a sort of thick fog around the immediate area. Assuming he was successful, Jack would immediately start to shrink down, though not into his normal state. He was taking advantage of his more compact form that was surprisingly very handy - it was Tiny Dragon time!
It would take a few moments for him to morph, but once he was, Jack was quickly and quietly on the move. He would keep his distance for a bit, trying to catch his breath and charge up an attack. As a distraction, he would actually fling a piece of debris across the arena, hoping to catch Karen's attention with that for a moment. If successful, he would attempt to throw a much larger piece of debris in that same direction, aiming to strike her right there with a full force attack!
Even if it wasn't successful, though, Jack would make sure that he wasn't stuck in one place for too long, keeping on the move so that he had enough time and space to try to enact a final attack. He just hoped that his efforts would actually be successful here.

With how things were going neither of them would be able to do any significant damage to the other if they didn't do anything drastic or unexpected. And so despite having less experience with ranged attacks she figured it was worth a try to attempt to catch Jack off guard by whipping that block of debris at him. However her disadvantage in terms of number of usable limbs would foil this plan too. His huge wings made it difficult to get any sort of straight shot at his head and managed to defend against her attack. Her classmate's next move would be something less direct and would be a reminder that he could be a bit strategic too if he wanted. A beam would be fired at the arena causing an explosion of debris, smoke and fake lava. Karen lacking any sensory abilities meant that an elaborate smokescreen like that was pretty effective. This was something she would realize when she suddenly lost sight of the huge dragon. Honestly given his size, no amount of smokescreen should have made that possible. And so she could only think of one possibility. Clever Jack had shifted back to his regular size and was hiding somewhere in the smokescreen. Now this was a tight spot. She couldn't see him but there was a large chance he could see her. Even if he didn't have enhanced senses, her bright aura would easily give away her position. That meant she couldn't just carelessly fly around. Her first thought was to get out of the smoke, but this had its own risks. She had no idea how big the smokescreen was and she could risk flying out of bounds. But there wasn't much time to think as Jack would make use of his advantage quickly. Pieces of debris were being flung her way. She couldn't see very well so her first instinct was to 'dodge' even though it would turn out to be no where near her. She figured it was better to take the risk of moving around then getting hit directly. When the real attack finally came, she did her best to fly out of the way but the pice of debris was pretty big. It took a combination of her parrying skill and flying backwards to minimize the damage received but it was still one of the heaviest blows in this fight so far. She felt that she managed to avoid the worst of it, at least until she heard the sound of the bell. The smoke around her started to clear up, and even she could tell. That last attack had sent her out of bounds. She sighed and landed back down at the edge of the arena. This was her loss. Unexpected but a brilliant move nonetheless. She would have to commend her classmate. It seemed fighting someone so huge really made her lose track of the size of the arena and the smokescreen sealed her fate. With the match settled she would walk over to shake the hand and congratulate her victorious classmate. "You really caught me by surprise there. I have no excuses. Congratulations and good luck with the next round!"If she had one regret, it was that she still had quite a bit left in the tank and it was a shame she couldn't let it all out.

自由自在 to be free; completely unrestrained. Well, that went oddly better than expected. Jack went through with his little smoke screen trick, enveloping the entire arena with smoke and steam, and the dragon boy quickly taking advantage and shifting into his tiny dragon form to avoid detection. All the meanwhile, Jack could see Karen rather clearly due to her aura alone. All in all, this seemed to be a pretty worthwhile tactic, especially with the dragon's enhanced senses.
The small dragon would then go through with throwing a piece of debris to distract his opponent, and even though it wasn't anywhere near Karen, she tried to dodge the initial throw. He grinned, knowing that would leave her right open for another attack. He would quickly grab a much bigger piece of rock, and while aiming carefully, threw the rock as hard as he possibly could, hoping that it would end up hitting directly while she wasn't expecting it.
And, surprisingly, it worked much better than he had hoped. The rock slammed right into Karen, and while he couldn't see if she had blocked it or not, he could see that it sent her back a fair amount of distance. Block or not, it was, by all means, a direct hit. Jack grinned devilishly, and started to charge in for a quick combo attack, hoping to finish this fight off with style~!
However, in the middle of his run, he would suddenly hear the bell ring. He blinked in confusion, and as the smoke would clear, Karen would be met with the sight of a very confused looking tiny dragon. And him...well, he was met with the sight of Karen being out of bounds, causing a ring-out. "Huh. Well how about that..." he muttered, having mixed feelings about this sudden turn of events. He would have hoped that he would finish this off by a K.O. instead...
Nonetheless, with Jack declared the winner, the small dragon would quickly revert back into his normal form, stretching out the aches and the like from the hits that he did take, even if his durable scales saved him from taking too much damage. His classmate would walk up to him, congratulating him on his win.
Jack smirked a little bit, accepting the handshake gratefully. "Yeah, it was a good match, amiga. Didn't really end how I would have liked, but hey, next time we can do it more properly, yeah?" he replied, winking a little bit at the implication that there would be a next time. With that, though, Jack would crack his neck a little bit. Craning his neck the way he did probably didn't do him much good there.
Jack would then begin to walk off towards where he entered the stage to get patched up, waving towards the crowd with a confident. Whatever came next...well, Jack had enough confidence after this fight that whatever did come next would end a bit more smoothly. At least, he hoped. notes words tag someone
