the second floor of the gym was always the most lively of the building. sure the bottom floor was noisy with machines and weights being used by everyone downstairs it was on the second floor is where you'll find people wanting something a bit...refined in their routines. perhaps refined isn't the right word for it but anyone who was working out in the two spacious rooms for yoga and mma sure were giving it their all today. shinra was one of them as he had been working his technique ever since he got here.

the cat had strung together so many combos that his arms were starting to get heavy and he decided to take a short breather to let them relax and rehydrate himself with a drink. one of the older guys walked by and gave him a high five to congratulate him on his work and improvements and it filled shinra with a lot of pride. if there was one thing that was always nice it was praise and getting it from peers was just the nicest feeling. sometimes he wondered if that seemed a little too vain but he always assured himself that it was properly rewarded because of his hard work.

however if there was praise to be given he wouldn't mind it coming from some of his idols; a pro hero that worked closely with his dad, a few fighters and wrestlers that he followed that inspired a lot of his own fighting technique and journey of strengthening himself. getting some good words out of them would just complete his life and he could die happy, but that was still a long way to go since provisional licenses weren't in his future anytime soon.
