How many days had it been? She actually had no clue. At the beginning, she had to try and count, but as soon as she was dragged down and just hurt and so on, it was a lost cause. She couldn't focus on counting. The lights were on the whole time, she was tranquillized too often and she was sure that one of the spots where they had put the needle had torn on her skin. She was so tired, she had slept, for sure, but not many hours and just the drops of water and the little bit of food that she got, it wasn't enough, as a medical person she knew this even more for sure. She felt so tired, so hazy and everything, though her mind was returning slightly. She could almost reach Lindiwe within her, that would mean she could heal the nasty wounds on her body, the nasty everything. She felt like she had to vomit, but there was nothing in her stomach to throw out. This was horrible, she couldn't get up, she couldn't do anything, not move her hands, not move her feet. She just wanted out, if this was what it meant to have made a sort of medicine for such a drug, what more would they do to her if she would continue?
It should technically not be a question of if, she wanted to continue a hero, she wanted to continue to stop people like this and she would do so. Did she hear something? It was probably the whispers of Iwayo, Uphondu and Nkosi in her mind, just too far away to reach yet. What would she do to get them in her mind, but she felt it, a sort of wind like whispers too far away. It would make no sense, not hearing them was so quiet and scary. The voices in her head, the spirits she met they have been there since she was four, so this quiet feeling made her feel lonely and tear on herself, she had peeled on her skin, on her nails while trying to do something, focus on the drips from the pipe above her head. But she was going crazy, someone should talk too her. She was too much of a social person to go through this. Someone do something, someone talk to her, even the taunting of the fights had made her feel less lonely, less crazy as people's voices were there.
Her eyes opened, completely blue instead of amber, she had been using her power ever so slightly if the tranquillized moments let her. Iwayo might not be talking to her but it did turn her skin into thick metal, that is the feeling of it. She wanted to get out of here but she did not even have the energy to scream for help, that had not helped the first times, actually it had given her harder punishments and so on. She just felt so tired, which made sense with all the beating down, the not many hours of sleep and the constant activating of Iwayo to keep herself safe. What would they do if they noticed, would they hurt her without her being able to do anything? Maybe she was lucky they untied her and fought her, no matter if they were stronger than her, they at least waited for the tranquillizer to be done, they would come soon, she knew it, she felt that she could move a little, even though it hurt a lot, but that meant it was almost time for a new fight, a new doze to be knocked out after. When would it stop?

Giovanni finally found out where Nimue was being held. He was fortunate that Daffodil found out where Nimue was. He should've known it was an abandoned building. Gah! How stupid was he. A moron and an idiot. But he couldnt dwell on it. He got his gear and his gun and decided to go on and try and sneak in to save her. He also had a knife if she was tied with rope. And of course cigarettes. After all, he needed that if he was to use his semi useless or useful Quirk. It really depended since it wasnt strong nor combative
Surely he had better people to send to save her since he was probably the LEAST qualified, but he couldnt help himself. She was in danger, probably tortured. He knows he'd torture a Hero if he caught one. BUT NOT NIMUE!!! She was his. He can make her his. He just needs to make her see the light. He wanted to be the one to save her. After all, how would it look like if she saw the Mafia storm in and rescue her. Surely she would suspect his hands in there. While he can play the victim that he was desperate. He didnt want to deal with that. He wanted be the one to rescue her. After all, he would always repeat. She was his. So he had to get her. That was his messed up logic now.
But that is for another time, now he had to focus on being not being seen and finding Nimue. Plus he had to do all of this stealth mode, so even if he rescues Nimue, they had to sneak out. Because if they were to enter combat. He'd be curb stomped. And she would be too injured to save him

You sure you can keep up with a woman like me~?
❝ They really don’t have much imagination when it comes to hideouts, do they? A slow hum escaping the lips of the lavender lady as she peered from a rooftop toward an old, almost derelict mass of concrete and broken glass through the aid of a pair of binoculars, surveying the scene as she scanned it for some sort of sign of life either outside or within it that she could spy, but on this occasion seemed to come up short. Always some dingy old dive tucked away in the bad part of town? Whomever was inside it, if anyone, seeming to be the sort who liked to keep the affairs that they conducted rather private, but that was probably understandable given what Maya Murasaki expected to find within. I wonder if places like this advertise on some kinda criminal craigslist or something? Arriving at this place and spying upon it with the intent of disturbing the trouble that some uncouth soul had planned to happen within, as the ebony enchantress peered through those twin tubes and looked the locale over she couldn’t help but joke with herself mentally, which was a habit she had picked up during the stakeout type events she had been through back in her days of vigilantism. Old sweatshop for rent, half a billion crooked owners… Humour a nice form of deflection to distract a person from feelings of dread and worry, even though Maya was usually the sort to play it cool even she couldn’t help but feel a hint of anxiety at the prospect of one of their best and brightest do-gooders being in the hands of their enemy, and not just because of the fact that she thought her school-teaching sempai was something of a hottie. However, it seemed she didn’t have much time to get drawn into that as something she searched for but did not expect to see came into her violet tinted view. “Hey, heads up partner…” Quickly given a reason to focus on a figure rather than the feelings and thoughts within her as something seemed to come into view that silently surprised her, Miss Murasaki blinked for a second as she found herself almost surprised as a strange soul came view through her telescope-times-two, and then spoke up to the person she had been partnered up with in order to catch his attention on the matter as well. “Looks like we got someone going in? Brunette, well dressed… Not a bad arse either?” The two of them charged with the role of rescuing the lost soul who was currently depriving UA of their hopefully naughty nurse type who was needed to kiss the booboos of students and make them feel better, the dark dish smirked to herself as she gave a rather colourful description of the stranger she saw and licked her lips as she did so, finding this the perfect way to give ‘The Informant’ a taste of her personal flavour and hopefully enough to break the ice between them as well a little as well. After all, this could be the start of a beautiful friendship, couldn’t it~?

sworn to protect FINDING NAKAHARA WAS EASIER THAN Tobias had anticipated—perhaps that was because she was a largely public figure, easily recognizable by anyone who followed the Pro Hero scene. Plenty of eyewitnesses. That, combined with security camera footage and traffic cameras around the city, brought the two professional heroes to this low-slung, somewhat dilapidated warehouse.
Tobias relayed this information to the PSC, and to whatever pro they’d assigned to the case, only to discover that he, too, had been tasked with the fieldwork aspect of it. (Not just the preliminary investigation.) Their rationale had been that “if whoever committed this atrocity is savvy enough to take Witch Doctor down, then this a job for more than just one pro”.
Sure, send one of the most incendiary heroes—besides Hellhound, anyways—to this old, rundown fire-hazard. Solid planning. But as a man contractually-bound to do the bidding of the PSC, Tobias did as he was told.
Tobias had been tapping a nervous staccato on the ground below him, his free hand gripped around a monocular telescope. His sunglasses were pushed up from his eyes so that he could look through the small, handheld telescope, and his ensemble was his usual suit.
Tobias had been surveying a different area, for sake of thoroughness, since the both of them were assessing the best point of entry. Where there was the least amount of traffic, perhaps? A surreptitious break-in? Or storming the gates through the front door?
His attention was snagged when UltraViolet spoke-up, her remark droll. Tobias shifted his weight, panning towards the other end of the building. Attractive brunette? Which member of the outfit was that?
Tobias panned, accidentally overshooting the new arrival altogether, before doubling back to them. The telescope was focused on their legs, so he moved it upward in order to identify him.
Tobias had to agree, his butt was nice.
He didn’t dwell on that sentiment long, however, because as soon as he reached the man’s face, Tobias’s blood went icy.
Shit.
Tobias sucked air through his teeth.
“What’s he doing here?” Tobias hissed. He lowered the monocular telescope, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“That’s her boyfriend-“ Tobias advised Ultra Violet, “Giovanni Something-or-Other. He’s dating Witch Doctor.”
How had he figured-out this location? Tobias certainly hadn’t leaked any details to him in his own investigation… on principle, civilians were kept in the dark until the case was closed. No need to give them false hope. No need to add to their anxieties. And yet, here he was.
And yet, here he was…
Tobias raised the telescope to his eye again, intent upon the new arrival. He had a rope slung over one shoulder, at least—that was what was visible, anyways. Perhaps he had more.
“Idiot’s going to get himself killed,” Tobias muttered, “Unless…”
Unless he was involved in the kidnapping. Staged it over some lover’s quarrel? The world was filled with sick people, so such a possibility wasn’t that much of a stretch.
“What do you think, Violet?” Tobias said, clearing his throat, “Watch and see what happens, or go get the bastard before he gets himself killed?”

It was strange to have a sort of sense in only your left pinky when it came to her hands, she tried to wiggle them so hard but nothing happened. It wasn't only the tranquillizer, it was everything and her blue eyes disappeared again behind her heavy eyelids. She had to be prepared, come on! They were late, she could maybe attack them when they would show up, that did, however, mean that she should get all her strength back first, being able to move might quicken the blood pace and make her able to shake off the last of the tranquillizer, but she just had to get to that point. She wasn't sure how much she used her quirk, it felt unbearable, even moving her pinky gave some strain in her wrist that pulled up to her shoulder. Everything felt so hard and heavy as if she was literally made of heavy metal or something, not only thanks to Iwayo's power. However, at this point, she still had not noticed her eyes were blue and she kept channelling her defensive spirit.
She tried to push herself up, which was a lot harder than she was used to, she dropped almost harshly on her shoulder again but managed to remain a few inches from the floor before she had to give up again and just rolled onto her back. she would have to find something to rip the ropes apart, but of course, there would be nothing. This empty room, that turned into a cell was just empty, there was maybe something on the floor but she didn't know where to find it. Finally, she noticed a rusty nail and stared at from the corner of her eyes, it was too high up for her at this point. She would not be able to sit up that long and she closed her eyes again, besides if she would get it wrong and cut herself open... well rust would mean a shot and immediate cleaning and she couldn't do that. She would try, when she got more energy back, she could use Iwayo for it right, or if she had enough strength, maybe she would go straight up to Uphondu and pull the ropes apart, as long as it was giving her the ability to move. But not now, she wanted to sleep, she wanted so much but not be here, though at this point, there was nothing else to do but wait and have her ears on sharp, to know when they came. She felt a shiver going down her spine when she thought about it already.

As he was sneaking around he felt like he was being watched. He looked around and had a very annoyed look on his face. But also a confused look on his face "Why do I feel violated?" he thought to himself, but nevertheless he shook his head and decided to sneak in the warehouse. He immediatelly once indoors just hid and looked for Nimue. This was a warehouse, so there werent rooms and stuff, it was easy to see she wasnt here to be seen. And he trusted Narcissas information. They hid her. He looked around where can she be. He didnt dare to walk and explore, so he looked for an entrance or exit or anything out of the ordinary.
Thats what he facepalmed and remembered. He's a villain. He has to use his vilain mind. This is the Plutocracy. Any good and respectable villain has a basement. A secret one "But where can it be?" he thought to himself and pondered
Thats when he noticed a set of stairs immediatelly to his left which made him facepalm again. He slowly and quietly and went down the stairs. There was light. She had to be there. He was like crouched as he went down. He immediatelly freezes when he heard a sound. What if someone else was here. He readied his firearm and continued to crouch and sneak down the stairs. Arriving near the door, he looked around the room. The first thing he noticed was a key. Well.... logic dictates a key is needed. But was there a bodyguard? He decided to look around before being hasty. But there was a door? Did the key go to this? He bites his lip and tries to open the door with the key. It was a success. So ever so slightly he opened the door just to peek in. When doing so he spotted Nimue there on the ground. His eyes widened. He looked around more, was there someone guarding her? Was there an automated trap? A wire to an explosive? A pressure plate? He doubted it was this clear. But the sight of Nimue injured like that pained him more then any trap possibly could

You sure you can keep up with a woman like me~?
❝ Giovanni? Rocking a foreign fella as her boyfriend, is she? The brow of the black beauty lifting on one side as her learned friend offered some information on the person with the pert posterior that she had spied, Maya was surprised by both the fact that he was engaging in something so reckless and that such a nice slice of cutie pie action was someone that their current target could call their own, and with an emphasis put slightly on the latter at that! Good girl! You’ve earned my respect, Witch Doctor~ Licking her lips a little as she imagined the woman who was ranked number three among all pro heroes getting cosy and more than that with the fella she had been peeping on, the ebony enchantress found a sense of amusement and a bit of awe in the ‘catch’ that her comrade had made, especially when given her reputation she had guessed the green haired girl to be a bit too much of a goody two shoes for her taste. Maybe she had her wrong? “Heh, well you gotta admire his resolve, even if it is suicide~?” Nodding as Tobias seemed to note the low chances of success that a simple civilian would have with a task that the association had assigned to a couple of active professionals like the two of them, even though Miss Murasaki agreed with her senior’s assessment of his ill-fortune the sporty siren couldn’t help but offer a counterpoint to his opinion simply out of respect for his effort, but there was probably a big reason for that really. If I was playing the damsel in distress, I wonder who I’d want saving me? Growing up with a patriarch who sought to exploit his wife and family circumstance for his own success and one that she now guessed would have thrown them under the bus as soon as he got the chance, even though the ravishing raven knew that she shouldn’t condone the idea people taking the law into their hands now that she had gone legit she couldn’t help but admire the intent because of that, even if she didn’t fancy his chances all that much. “Whoa, is that even a question, Informo-sempai~?” That being said the black beauty finding herself surprised when the man at her side seemed to ask whether or not they should intervene in what was happening, Maya looked toward the bespectacled figure who accompanied her and offered up a playful nickname for him with a tilted head, seeing their path pretty clear for here on out. “The answer is obvious to me~?” Unquestionably against the idea of dallying her and not just because hanging around made her feel restless as hell, Miss Murasaki shook her hair and stowed the blade she carried with her on her back the moment she decided to act on what had happened, and then moved toward the edge of the building with her blood pumping a little faster as she did so. “We go be heroes~!” Never the sort to even contemplate such a dull activity such as travelling down stairs or even worse an escalator when there was excitement to be had in her work, after declaring her intention boldly to her bearded buddy the beauty beamed and then flung herself off the side of the building with gusto, and loved the rush she got as she did so. Cooped up scoping out the place for far too long, now she could let herself explode and get the endorphins that her system seemed to crave constantly, and hopefully make at least two people’s day as she did so. This was the life…

sworn to protect TOBIAS'S EXPRESSION REMAINED DRAWN, IF NOT a little annoyed around the edges. While his accomplice’s mind meandered towards more carnal musings, Toby was analyzing Giovanni’s approach to the building. Was the building guarded by villains? Would they give the man trouble as he entered the premises? All this provided good intel for the heros’ approach.
Through the dingy window of the warehouse, they could see Giovanni’s silhouetted come to a halt, then veer to the left, out of view. And it was silent.
“It’s possible that they might not have guards posted in that area, right now,” Tobias remarked, “Could be an opening.”
Maya commented on the man’s resolve, and Tobias gave an unconvinced “hrm” in response.
“Wish he had more sense,” the hero said simply, rising into a sitting position. He rolled his neck one way, and then the other, popping the stiff joints. They’d been casing the building for a while, and Tobias could feel it in his bones. God, he was getting old. The Informant’s question about whether or not to save Giovanni was met with very vocal surprise. The tactician raised his eyebrows.
“It is a real question, yes,” Tobias said, his confusion tangible, “Our mission is to retrieve Witch Doctor. Giovanni’s presence compromises that. If we blow our cover rescuing this knight in shining armor, and fail our mission because of it, I assure you that Witch Doctor will be much more difficult to find, next time. If there even is a next time.”
In other words, if they wasted their time on Giovanni, Nimue might be killed. They would be short one pro hero—but hey, at least the idiot civilian they saved was pretty, right? That had to count for something.
“It’s a matter of asset protection,” Tobias said simply, “Witch Doctor is a greater asset to the PSC then one civilian interloper.”
It was a very clinical way of looking at the situation. But could anything less be expected of a hero whose name was “The Informant”? His job was to comb through the bullshit, and present the most objective, unemotional evaluation of the facts. And it sometimes made him very, very serious.
Of course, as he said this, he was rising to his feet, his expression droll.
Maya didn’t even seem to be listening. She was peering over the edge of the building for… some… odd reason. It was then that she vaulted over the edge of the building and twirled gracefully to the ground below. Tobias sighed.
If Sir Giovanni didn’t blow their cover with his chivalry, UltraViolet would with her panache. Tobias groaned, strode towards a fire escape on the back of the building, and made his descent. When he was on the bottom level, he scooted towards the edge of the landing, and jumped the few meters to the ground, before circling around the building to rejoin Maya.
“Alright,” Tobias said, clearing his throat, “Comms on?”
Not they planned on getting separated, but it was beneficial to stay connected, just in case. Tobias tapped his own bone mic, which was wired into right ear. The tech developers said that it could withstand the heat of an eruption, should one occur. Hopefully it did not.

God, they would come, she wasn't sure if she could hear anything outside of her cell room. But she needed to get up, get to that point, get the ropes off and be prepared. She tried, she tried so hard to channel Uphondu, but she did not feel his power go through her blood but nothing, no her eyes remained scary blue, without her knowing that is. She just looked scared, did she hear someone? Were there stairs? Where the heck was she? Nimue had to fight her instinct so hard to scream for help because obviously after so long, no one was going to come. She prayed to her God, prayed for rescue, for it to stop, for him to explain why this was going on and what would be the time to finish it? What would she learn from this? What would she take away from this? She tried again to summon one of her spirits, this time not Uphondu but she wanted to get Lindiwe, the dried blood on her body, the bruises and she was sure she tore a muscle in her left leg, come on Lindiwe. But she was not there, she did not show up. No one would come, nothing would happen, she would be here for another thousand hours, as she could not say how many days it was. Her stomach turned and she felt like she needed to vomit thanks to that idea but obviously nothing happened. She was so hungry, so thirsty and she wanted to sleep properly. Her muscles sore and painful, her shoulders constantly pulled back to the ropes on her back or was it metal, she couldn't see and her senses couldn't inform her of much anymore.
She shivered and curled up when she heard the click of the door, she noticed her breath quickened and she felt her heart racing in fear. Sure she was less out of it than the last times they came, but they would beat her, hurt her, throw her around, what the hell, she did not want that. She just closed her eyes, ready for something to happen, but she heard only breathing. She opened her eyes and tried to look up, into a pair of eyes she did not expect to see. "Giovanni?" She could barely say his name now that she had realized how such a dry throat she had and just the shock took a bit away from her away. "Are you crazy, get out, they can come any minute now, they will hurt you." She couldn't think about herself, she tried to get up, only to fall back down again and groan in pain. But she had to do this, she had to protect him. No. No wait. They were triggering her, shit she had given his name, she had given them a reaction and she tried to push herself away the person in the doorway. "Get away from me!" Panic in her eyes, this must be a quirk, this must be anything but reality. They were using him against her.

Nimue saw him and he saw her. Their eyes met. She spoke his name. "Witch Doctor" he whispered, for a second, he also said Nimue. She warned him to get out, they can come any second, they will hurt him. Giovanni took out his cigarette and put it in his mouth and he lit it up so he can use his Quirk if need be. His gun was also armed and ready to go. He crouch stealthed over to Nimue. "Shhh shhh. Its ok. Im here" he quietly talked to reassure her that he was friendly.
Only upon getting closer and having a proper look at her did he see how she was beat up and detained. She was handcuffed, theres like stuff around her legs. This is no good. He hoped this was just rope that he can untie or cut. But this needed a key. Well, he had one key. Which went to the door. He still tried to unlock the handcuffs with it. But obviously the key doesnt fit "Cazzo" he swore under his breath. He then talked to Nimue "Its ok. I'll save you." he said to give her hope and to calm her. But now when actually being close to her and noticing her eyes, he had to ask
"Can you talk? Your eyes are blue? What is the significance of that?" He had no idea what that meant, he didnt poke her too much about her Quirk

You sure you can keep up with a woman like me~?
❝ “It’s not a problem if we kick enough ass to save both of them, right?” Shrugging as she plunged off the side of the building and showing her confidence as she replied to the woes of the grumpy guy she had been assigned as her partner, while Tobias perhaps had a point about how this new figure might have made the task more difficult, Miss Murasaki simply could not agree to the notion that they should forsake one target in favour of another; it just didn’t seem like the sort of thing a real hero would do to her. Plus, it was probably true as well that an adrenaline junkie like her actually tended to enjoy the complication it presented, and the esteem she would be rewarded with upon successful completion. Boy, they really were an odd combo, weren’t they. That long, silky hair whipping about behind her as she plummeted through the air and her heavy pulse hammering adrenaline through her system like never before, this was the sort of thing that Maya lived for as she descended with elegance and efficiency, her eyes never erring from the entrance through which Giovanni had breached the building as she waited to hit the ground, or even afterward. The hammering heart of the heroine something she lived for, what might have terrified most other people thrilled her and that was why she felt the urge to act no matter the problems she was presented with, and it was through that habit that she had learned to deal with the challenges that were thrown her way and develop the kind of confidence that assured her she could overcome any adversity that might lay in her path. “Roger, Roger, you reading me, rock star~?” The gifts that she had been given presenting themselves as Miss Murasaki grew nearer and nearer to the ground, with a flick of her foot the fox kicked herself off the building nearby and shifted her inertia just enough to force herself into a forward roll, and once she was done so she lifted her finger to her ear and activated the little radio within it in order to answer the com-check of her ally in a manner that was laced with humour given the way she understood his quirk. It was good to keep things light, in her opinion, if they might get heavy later. “I’ll take the lead and you watch my back, sound good?” A flashy little lady when she wanted to be but her decision to take the lead coming from experience and her estimation that the benefits she was blessed with would make her better at responding to the sudden changes that exploration of an unknown building might provide her with, as a lithe and agile woman the Asian amazon knew that she was probably better equipped to skip around the enemy response to their act while the burlier figure behind them knocked down what she set up. That made sense to her, and was why she skipped across the ground in front of her, expecting Tobias could keep up and maybe, just a tiny little bit curious about how his opinion of her own delightful derriere might compare to the one they spotted a matter of moments ago.

sworn to protect THE REDHEAD WAS DECIDEDLY MORE staid about making preparations for their approach. In addition to making her reply to Tobias, Maya made a show of her response—some theatrical tumble. Well. If ever Japan had issues with energy, they could always tap whatever it was that Jessie ran on.
“Sounds good,” the gentleman echoed, “Though, if it didn’t, I suppose I would simply be run-over.”
The second part of his response was said with a droll note, suggesting that the woman was so overzealous, she wouldn’t notice having stumbled over him until it was too late.
“After you,” Tobias insisted. The woman skipped ahead—literally skipped—while Tobias sped-walked after her, his green eyes sweeping over their surroundings for any potential attacks or interruptions. Seriously, not a single sniper? No goons to stop them? Had they caught them entirely on their unawares?
He also looked towards the eaves of the building. What about surveillance? It was entirely possible that the people responsible were watching remotely—or had already left.
Perhaps this would be an investigation, rather than a rescue mission?
No, he couldn’t think like that. Not yet.
The pair drew nearer to the building, slowing once they were close to its side. Tobias peered cautiously through the grimy window, surveying the room within. No sign of Giovanni, nor any goons.
“Clear,” the gentleman reported, his voice low.

"No-no!" She couldn't help but speak loudly and try to get away from the person that looked like Giovanni. It couldn't be Giovanni. She couldn't believe that, not after this time. Her eyes, so big, so scared, it couldn't be him. He wasn't the person she wanted to see. He couldn't be Giovanni, how would he just be here, how could he be here, it made no sense. "No get away from me. I won't fall for this." Could someone fake his Italian accent? His words? Would a quirk know that? She had to focus on it, there was too much to consider. She didn't sit still but as Giovanni took her hand, she couldn't help but let out a scream of pain as her wrists were raw thanks to the metal but she stared at him, what he was doing. Her blue eyes looking at him and just held her hands like that, not pulling it away anymore as he tried the key. But it didn't work and she made a soft groaning sound. This was the worst, now he was in danger, "You should get out." If this was the man she loved, screw the question of how he got in, he just had to be safe. They were coming, they could get here any minute.
She shook her head and touched her face with her hands, blue? Iwayo? So she could do something. She would try to get up, "Please, they can be here any minute to get me, they do this every day at another time, but always when the tranquillizer is weaker, that's now, get out. I need you safe." She pleaded him, she needed him out, her hands were tied still, the metal would maybe break on that nail if she pulled enough of it with Uphondu, but she could still not hear their voices and she was just so mad at this point, so tired of herself. So tired of Plutocracy. "Just leave me here. I can't- I can't walk." The always pulled her along, took her and just made it that way and now she would have to make sure he was safe.

Poor Nimue. She was scared, terrified even. She spoke and loudly at that. She told him to get away. Giovanni stopped for a moment and frowned a bit. He still tried to reassure her that he was here to save her. He took her hands gently, but when she screamed from pain, he quickly let her go out of reflex. He was startled and scared.
Upon realizing that he was the real deal. She told him to get out "N-no can do! I am here to rescue you!" he said, trying to reassure her that he was here to help. He cant run. He'd rather die. Eventually he asked about her eyes, but she just ushered him away, saying they can come any second. Her tranquilizer is running out and fading away. She pleaded him. He slowly and quietly went to her and gently shushed her "Sshhh shhh. Its ok. Let them come. They will see a surprise" he said and showed her the gun he had.
It was an improv plan. The first hostile that comes in his room, he will shoot them and then take their key to free her. He glanced at her when she said she cant walk, and he looked at her legs. His face was stone cold and a pure poker face. But Nimue knew in his eyes that he was very dishearened and worried about the pain she had to endure. He worried what if she cant walk ever again. Well, even if she was wheelchair bound, he would love her.
Giovanni gave one more glance to see if there was something. Truth be told he was too scared to leave Nimue alone to inspect the room. He didnt wanna leave her. He would rather ambush an enemy, rather than leave her. "Worst case scenario dear. I will shoot those chains away" he said... he saw it worked in the movies, you shoot a lock away. He inhaled and stayed alert

You sure you can keep up with a woman like me~?
❝ “You’re faster than you look, Mr Librarian~” Perhaps a little surprised to find the larger and bulkier looking man draw close to her so quickly but not overly so given how she was hardly going at her maximum pace, Miss Murasaki shot a look over her shoulder and smirked as she sent a cheeky little line toward the titanic Tobias, before skipping off a little quicker as she showed even more of the energy he had seemed to note within her. Hammering her hard heels into the ground and drawing upon the kind of pace that one might have expected to see challenging world records at some sprinting event, the ebony enchantress showed a little of her expertise as she lurched over to one side before looping back to the other with a mind to throw off any would be gunmen waiting for them in the building, and then skidded around with her back flat against one the wall next to the door with her sword in hand as she waited for her partner to catch her up one he was finished peeking through the windows. “Once more unto the breach, my dear Informant, once more~” A line from some old play she had seen with her grandfather suddenly seem to spring from her mind and then sprout from her lips a second later as she smiled toward the hulking figure she had been paired with, Maya waited a matter of moments to make sure he was ready to step through the threshold before moving again and taking the lead one more by lurching through the door, with her weapon and sharp gaze ready once she did so. Those violet irises as focused as they ever were thanks to the adrenaline that was pumping through her system, the black beauty crossed through the opening in a diagonal direction reminiscent of how officers of the law would as she entered the building and assumed that her partner was enough of a professional to do the same, and all the while kept her guard up in case they got a rude welcome from anyone inside. However, it seemed they did not. “Clear over here too~?” No sigh of hair nor hide to be seen waiting for them within the building that Miss Murasaki could spot, she gave the vicinity another quick scan to confirm this before announcing the fact to her buddy for the battle, and carried a hint of surprise and the colour of her confusion in her voice as she did so. “Pretty light on security for a place supposed to be holding a hero hostage?” By no means complaining about the lack of opposition but perhaps a part of the pugnacious pro hoping for a chance to let loose from the get go, that and a simple sense of paranoia combined to make the woman known as Ultra Violet feel a little bit suspicious when she looked around and saw absolutely nothing to stop her taking a tour of the place and exiting with the target whenever she felt like it, and she couldn’t help but mention this fact to her more informed colleage because of how strange it seemed. “I hope we haven’t come to the wrong place, eh?” Twirling the blade she had in her hand a couple of times as she took a few more steps forward and then began to survey the interior of the building to see which way they should proceed next, Maya raised her brow and looked toward her comrade with a wry smile on her face that belied her genuine concern about the situation. This site the guess of the big guy on their two-person team and if they had gotten it wrong the fault lying with him ultimately, while she was not so ungracious as to state this notion frankly she couldn’t help but hint it as she wondered what the might Mr Murakami made of the nothing they had found so far, and began to move deeper into this empty nest as she did so…
