APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Lawrence is a young man, but not quite of the 'strapping' variety; a bit underweight and slightly on the short side - though not significantly - his physique blends in rather than stands out, a slightly 'small' feel about him making it easier to fall into a crowd than stand out from it, which isn't helped by a slouching posture that makes him even shorter. Stark white hair does help a little bit to stand him out, as well as pure black irises, though neither could be said to be truly noticeable in this new age of quirkers, at least to some people. Being British-descended, however, makes him more noticeable, with caucasian skin, further paled by a preference for indoors.
As far as clothing goes, despite his status, he prefers clothes, usually button-up shirts and slacks, better known by some as business casual clothing. Even more, most of what he wears is very baggy, for comfort and, moreso, facilitating use of his quirk.
POSITIVE
✔ Quick-witted, fun-loving, playful, perceptive
NEGATIVE
✖ Sardonic, lackadaisical, stubborn, evasive, manipulative
LIKES
✔ Games, dice, tea and biscuits, company, quiet, freedom
DISLIKES
✖ Sour foods, crowds, public transportation, oppressive rules
Personality:
Lawrence was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, and though it's pretty clear from the way he speaks, with a practiced, refined tongue. It is, however, not as clear through his mannerisms nor his dress. Always one for casualness, almost to the point of laziness, even when indulging in the amenities of his social status, he, when it comes to social interaction, prefers such things in order to get people to underestimate him, not to mention the reactions he gets are amusing. Ultimately he doesn't feel a lot of the pomp of high society is worth the trouble, although he does enjoy their lifestyle.
A strong sense of individualism fills him; aside from preferring to keep his problems to himself - finding solutions on his own, making for a work ethic that might be surprising coming from someone of his class - he also believes in the idea that freedom is best for everyone, that rules, regulations, and laws are, at least for him, more guidelines than actual rules, considering himself with a strong enough moral compass that he can bend or break the rules as necessary. While he's perfectly capable of playing fair, he'll lie and cheat if he needs to, though with his moral compass, such cheating is often playful, where the consequences aren't dire, or cheating someone that deserves it. In other words, he believes that h e's good enough to bend the law, though he doesn't particularly consider himself above it... simply evading it.

HISTORY
Despite his name, Lawrence was born and raised in Japan, albeit to two European-descended parents. Aaron, his father, was a tycoon of a game company, specializing in toys and board-style games, while his mother, Marybeth, was a simple -albeit high-end - tailor.
Like many quirkers, his quirk manifested at a young age, but unlike many quirkers, even at a young age, he was particularly talented at hiding it. His parents found out soon enough, but as he showed his talent for evasiveness and hiding, they accepted it and - barring one or two attempts to monetize his quirk - treated him as the same. Life continued for Lawrence almost completely unchanged, still living the rich life with staff and caviar and being groomed to inherit Upside Down Games, his father's company.
Still, Lawrence liked to explore, and he wondered what he could do with his quirk. His parents, while loving, had relative indifference towards his quirk; they didn't fear or disdain his quirk, but neither did they encourage its practice or exploration, leaving it up to Lawrence to see what he could do. At first it started simple, with faked sleight-of-hand tricks - not to mention a little cheating with dice - to impress them, the staff, and even the people at his father's company. That expanded to creating bridges and cityscapes for his toy cars, little dice warriors to fight his action figures, and even simply using his dice to bring things closer to him. No one was the wiser, either, not even his nanny knew about his quirk; she simply thought he really liked dice.
Lawrence continued to grow, and he grew not only in body, but in mind and in quirk; he took to the tasks that involved inheriting the company like a moth to a flame, and his quirk practice improved to the point where he could feel them becoming stronger; where he was accidentally breaking wooden or plastic toys, he could now purposely destroy cinderblocks, and even mark his metal toys if he really tried. All in all, life progressed well for him; life was easy, and his lessons took up more and more of his time, but he took it all in stride.
Everything changed, however, when his parents suddenly died. They were boarding a private plane when it exploded in the hangar. It was deemed an accident, and family all the way from England, family he knew, family he didn't, and plenty of friends of his parents came to gave his condolences, and he mourned like anyone else. Eventually, extended family brought him to his other home in England, where he stayed for a time.
Something about the accident never really sat right with him, though; he was never distracted by mourning, and the more he thought about it, the stranger the accident felt, but he could never explore this nagging feeling until a few years later, when he turned twenty. By this point, Upside Down games was nearly to the ground, and he decided to return to his home, Japan, under the excuse that he would have to bring it back up. Which was partially true; it was his company now, and he didn't want it to fall.
But, a bigger part of him wanted to find out what happened.
