Character: Wesker Atkinson
Starting Prompt: A survivor of the criminal breakout puts Wes, his brother and Shiloh in danger. Wes is forced into hiding with Shiloh while his brother heads the villain off, because they simply can't defend themselves against someone so threatening. While Bishop is out risking his life to fight the villain, Wes can do nothing but wait for him to return and console Shiloh. Bishop is gone all night and into the next morning, and it becomes the longest time that Wes has been apart from him.
Story Beats:
-Wes feels the weight of his lack of agency. Wes fights off intrusive thoughts about his self worth and begins to think Bishop would truly be able to do more with the situation if Wes wasn't there to hold him back.
-Wes deeply regrets not having the physical ability to help Bishop when he needs it the most. The brothers complimented each other's abilities much better when they were both quirk-less. Despite Wes' inner struggles, he becomes more determined then before to be there for Bishop and prove he can still do his best.
-After Bishop barely fends off the villain, he arrives back again, much to Wes' relief. Wes assures Bishop that he's not done proving that he can help, and that he'll do anything to make this up to him. He goes with Bishop for a few of his more brazen escapades and continues to try to prove himself an asset to their survival as a group.
-It becomes apparent that Bishop is thinking about things a little differently then before. He begins acting more reckless, thinking about the victims of their stealing operations less and less. The power of the Black Dog begins to more obviously change how his little brother acts, in small ways. He begins to neglect to ask Wes for thoughts or guidance before running in to make his move. Wes realizes how much he values Bishop acting like himself again. Despite how much Bishop's abilities would make scavenging for food easier then ever at the rate he is going, he knows that his brother should be above causing this much impact on innocent bystanders.
-Bishop's actions continue to increase in intensity and Wes begins to ask him to stop doing things this way, and to think before he acts. His brother refuses each time, explaining how much easier this will be for them when it's over, and that he doesn't want Wes to get hurt. Wes knows that Barghest won't be able to get away with this reckless behavior for much longer if things continue. He is left frustrated with his brother for not trusting his advice or letting him assist like he used to do when they were younger and quirk-less.
-Bishop refuses Wes' final plea to stop and runs toward his next destination. Wes is too mad at the situation to follow immediately, but is worried about him too much to keep from running after him sometime later. Wes finds the ensuing conflict as Toby has been trying to stop any more injuries or destruction of property for some time now. Wes sees Bishop injure Toby and runs in desperately trying to stop Bishop from getting into any more trouble or hurting anyone else. He jumps in at the wrong time and also gets injured by Bishop on accident. This wakes Bishop from his mania and he rushes to Wes' aid as he begins to pass out from the injury, shaken but still alive.
NPCs Involved: Me and Roarky will manage a villain quirk-user to some detail. There might be an opportunity for flavor in the form of a storyteller for the final thread, but the specifics are not quite determined yet. Proper warning for any integration of a storyteller for our final thread to come as needed.
End-Goal: Toby will have reason to try to adopt both Atkinson Brothers and convince officials that he's seen evidence that they can both improve in a more conducive environment. There could also be hope for them to be integrated into remedial studies in UA when Toby sees fit that they need better control and understanding of their powers.
Notables: Hachi Tsutsuji will end up witnessing their store break in while on patrol.
Crime count:
>>Give and Take - Breaking and entering, 3 hunting knives with holsters stolen, disturbance
>>Who's Side Are You On - pick-pocketed 2000 yen
