"With that shit stain of a place, is there any real difference between survival and enduring?" Kado asked, partially rhetorically. The boy definitely seemed to be calming down though compared to how he was earlier. "Luzia seems to have been a good influence on you at least, in more ways than one." she remarked with a sly smirk on her face.
At the boys question about foster placement being the reason for his lack of remembering her, Kado scoffed and shook her head. "Oh if only it was that pleasant." she said, finding herself leaning up against the nearby wall and folding her arms across her chest. "For Quirks like mine, Marta's had a special "adoption" program..." the red-head began to explain, the scar around her neck beginning to itch at the memories as they floated to the surface.
"Every so often, interested groups would "adopt" us for a while, before returning us to the orphanages warm and loving embrace..." she said, spitting on the ground and stamping on the spit with her boot heel. "Suffice to say, there were a few such parties that wished to "adopt" someone who could summon nature's wrath if you catch my drift." Kado alluded to Niso without saying the words outright regarding eco-terrorist groups. There were some days where she could still taste and smell the destruction she wrought... among other things.
Her hand came up to her neck and she rubbed at her scar beneath her choker. "Although you weren't too far off the mark with the pet remark. Each time I was "adopted" they would give me a lovely little tranq collar to wear. Just in case I got any funny ideas." Kado said with a sardonic growl. She lowered her hand and sighed. "The times I spent in solitary when I misbehaved with my Quirk probably didn't help either." the red-head said with a shrug, returning to Niso's original point of inquiry.

Niso scoffed a little, shaking his head at that opening line. "I don't think there's too much difference in any dictionary but... I see your point." He smirked a little, his energy still somewhat low but a little glad that he could hold a conversation like this with someone who understood. Marta wasn't really something he talked about afterall. He didn't talk about the misery or the anguish because he didn't want to be one of those idiot criminals who touted some tragic backstory unprompted but... remembering it with someone else who experienced it? he could get behind that. "She has been, though if you ask her she'd probably tell you I've been the one helping her. She's sweet like that...~"
Niso wasn't unaware of how the fostering and adoption worked at Martas. Growing up, sure, kids just dissapeared for a while and came back maybe a little beaten or bruised and he didn't care to think on why, but looking into Martas when he'd been pursuing information on Luzia? He managed to learn what the true nature of those temporary absences from Martas were...
"I can imagine..." He'd idly retort, already trying to conjure up the images on both sides who'd want someone like that under their thumb. Those wishing to use Nature's wrath as part of their forces, or those who'd use it as a scapegoat, set up the scene of a quirker running rampant so their own side could get more support. He didn't voice his guess on the matter, he'd seen Luzia's own 'tragic memory' face enough times that he could see the pain on someone's face easily enough. He briefly thought to how he'd once been terrible at empathizing but... maybe Luzia helped with that a little too. Maybe it was just that these two people shared their connection to Martas. Hard to say...
Niso's body seemed to almost flinch however at the remark of a tranq collar... there were few things he truly despised. His love for chaos embraced nearly all actions afterall no matter how mundane, silly, or destructive... but slavery and submission were hardly close to being in his repertoire. His arms crossed about him dug their fingers into the opposing arm. But... anger and rage had to go somewhere, and Niso lifted his head with an unnerving smile.
"Well your an adult now, with your own control of your quirk.... I hope this story might have a happy ending where you made them pay?~" He'd ask. Regardless of how that story ended however, Niso had a growing thought... stepping a little closer. "Speaking of happy endings though.... would you be interested in putting a happy ending on the Saint Marta's story?~"

Kado smirked when he asked about a happy ending to this story about making them pay. "Well, whenever I did behave and was a good girl, they let me tend to the gardens they had. I've got a bit of a green thumb for obvious reasons." she said with a chuckle. "So, on my fourteenth birthday, they let me have my birthday out in the garden since I had been such a good girl and it was considered a treat." the red-head began to explain, the smirk never leaving her face once.
"I'll let you in on one secret regarding my Quirk that Marta's never quite picked up on. The size of Thorn, my draconic beast, is proportional to how many plants and flora I use to summon him." Kado said, wondering if Niso would put the pieces together before she finished the story.
"And over the years, the gardens at Marta's had somehow managed to become quite lovely and large." Kado said, her tone making it sound as if she had no idea how that had possibly come to be, but her ever-growing smirk suggested otherwise.
She gave a wistful sigh though. "It's a shame... that garden was genuinely the one thing I liked about the place. Hardly any kids went out there, or any adults..." she mused, then shrugged.
"But the entire garden's worth of plantlife later, and Thorn was quite massive. I think he took out a few of them in the process of our escape, but I was a little bit focused on just getting the fuck out of there to count." the red-head said, finishing the story or at least the Saint Marta's portion of it.
He didn't need to know about what came after... And she doubted that she'd share that particular story with anyone. When Niso suggested getting a happy ending against Saint Marta's, Kado raised an eyebrow. "If you're about to suggest what I think you are, I have considered it in the past..." she admitted, looking back towards her shop.
"Almost did it once... but a car I recognised got in my way whilst I was heading there. It was carrying a new "guest" for that hellhole..." Kado explained, nodding towards the girl from earlier who was currently working in the shop window.
"I've looked after her ever since then, but I've not been near Marta's since that day." the red-head said with a shake of her head. "Too much heat for one person. Especially since any attempt to blow their cover, even anonymously would result in them releasing all the "adoption records" they hold on us all." she mused, a hint of bitter resignation in her voice.

Niso rose his brow as he started to put the pieces together before it was obvious, his foggy memory recalling the image of one of the few bright spots in that hellhole, the garden, and how it just... didn't seem to be there one day. With Luzia that flesh of red had been his catalyst to awaken from his fugue state, but he still had to actually see it for it to have even worked on him, but as far as this woman's own escape? He hadn't been there to witness it sadly, and as such he'd been stuck there a few more years. Besides, probably for the best, at such a young age for himself he probably wouldn't have done well in any escape attempts, even with his quirk... he would have just been put under a tighter lock and key, or something worse.
"I see... well good to know what fuels you. A van load of bouquets rocking up at St Martas for their funeral seems almost... poetic.~" He let out with a cheeky grin, picturing it already, a whirlwind of rose petals forming that draconic beast that had been chasing him down before. His shoulders shuddered with delight before he met her eyes again, folding his arms across his chest as his stance generally became more assured and strong. With his unstoppable, merciless charge and Luzia's power behind him he'd been sure the two of them could destroy Martas before anyone turned up to stop them, but with a force like this and enough fuel behind that dragon...
"Well it's good to hear you're not an entirely tainted soul if you want to save someone from that hellhole but... how about helping us put the full works in on the matter?" He rested a hand on his chest. "Me and my beloved Luzia are planning to destroy that retched place once and for all... burn it to the ground and leave nothing but ash. We'd help the children escape of course but the more employees we can trap in that place as it burns to the ground the better. I'm sure your dragon is, ironically, not the greatest fan of fire but... where we to truly come to arrange this little 'get together' of the Marta escapees... perhaps you'd be open to an invite?"
He was cautious here, not wanting to give out any dates until it was clear she was on board. Didn't want anyone alerting the police in advance afterall.

The notion of a van of funeral bouquets arriving at Saint Marta's did give Kado a reason to smirk a smirk to match Niso's grin. When Niso commented on her not being an entirely tainted soul because she saved someone from their fate, the red-head shrugged and sighed.
"All I did was spare her the suffering we did." she mused. As far as she was concerned, her soul was stained black with the lives she'd taken whilst at Marta's, and what she did to survive in the years before meeting Miss Nisshoku...
Kado listened to Niso outlining the bare bones of an idea that he and Luzia had regarding the orphanage hellhole, rubbing her chin in thought.
Obviously there were more details involved than he was sharing, which was good. It meant that he wasn't a complete idiot. "We're probably going to need a little bit more muscle than just the three of us to pull it off." the red-head florist mused, giving Niso an answer by way of her musing.
She turned her head towards him and nodded. "No doubt they'll have little panic buttons to reach their more... favoured heroes for hire in case of situations like this." Kado theorised.

“Mmm…” He felt a little insulted by the comment that they’d need any more than… well, just him if he was honest, and he came packaged with his lovely painter to boot. Kado should just be honoured to even be offered a chance to join the two of them as they burned the place to the ground but she did raise a good point. As hellish as those people were they also weren’t idiots, so Niso couldn’t just walk in with a few prepared molotovs and hope for the best… those old coots would have something up their sleeve. Maybe even a few indoctrinated child soldiers who were being groomed to take over once they were done with the place…
“You make a fine point… I was going to have it just be me and my girl originally but… thinking about what other escapees might be out there has me considering a potential alternative…” He rubbed his hands together with a sly smile curling up the sides of his cheeks, offering his hand across. “Tell you what… I’ll come let you know when things are moving forward and… in the meantime I’ll see what other hands we can get on board. How’s that down flower girl?~”

Kado could almost swear she could hear the mice running in their wheel inside of Niso's head as he considered the situation. She knew vaguely from their time in Saint Marta's, and from the recent spat here, that the boys Quirk rendered him practically invincible... But everything had its limits.
Even the oldest and strongest trees that had survived Ice Ages and earthquakes were not immune to damage from man once it put its mind to it. As Niso extended his hand towards her, she did give it and the adjoining sleeve a quick glance over. They may have both been through hell, but that didn't mean she completely trusted him just yet.
Once she was certain that there weren't any hidden devices or some other kind of trick, Kado nodded and took his hand in hers for a brief handshake before going to release the grip. "Sounds like a plan. I presume you're in the little chatroom thing? You can reach me there as Verdure." she informed him, keeping it vague enough about which chatroom she meant juuust in case of any listening ears.
She turned her attention back to her shop and rolled her shoulders. "Now, I suppose I'd better get back to work." Kado mused. "Try not to get into too much trouble alright? At least none that will give them time to prepare." the red-head asked with a smirk towards the currently pink-haired boy, beginning to head back to her shop.
