"This story will put us on the top," the news lady said, walking at a brisk pace down the street. She was a blonde-haired woman with blue eyes wearing a red, fitting dress. She was holding a wireless microphone and had a job tag that read "Tokyo NNN". She was being followed by her new cameraman she hired three weeks ago. He had red hair and a whole bunch of red freckles on his face. All he did was agree with her on everything she said.
"Everyone goes after stories such as the "Redhorn Rampage" or "UA Sports Festival". But we are going after something bigger," the blonde woman said with a determined glint in her eye. "For the first time ever, we will be covering new Pros who are just entering the scene. It will have action! It will have juicy secrets." She turned to her cameraman with a wide catlike grin. "It will earn me "The Best Reporter in Tokyo" award. Soon I will be the anchorwoman on the front desk of Tokyo NNN."
“But boss lady,” the cameraman said nervously, doing his best to juggle the heavy equipment. “Where are you even gonna find a story like that?” The woman looked annoyed at her lackey, as though he was an idiot.
“‘Going to’, numbskull,” she replied. She flicked her blonde hair into his face, almost causing him to lose balance. “And already have. I got a tip that one of the new Pros is making an arrest right now as we speak.” She continued to walk, her heels clacking against the pavement. “Hurry up, slowpoke. We don’t have all day. Time for a story!” she yelled in excitement, pointing out her microphone as though leading an army of soldiers.
30 minutes later
The two-man news crew made it on the scene, the cameraman sweating and panting from carrying the heavy camera and keeping up with his colleague. “There he is!” she exclaimed pointing to the center of the scene. The Pro Hero was attempting to put the villain into the patrol car for the officers. When the news lady got the tip, she didn’t expect that this was going to be the person she would be interviewing.
So this was the Zombie King that everyone was on about. He looked like the everyday average zombie, but more civilized. He was green with scars on his face and very muscular… and tall. It reminded the reporter of those monster movies she used to see as a kid, but this guy didn’t run around terrorizing people.
“I set one building on fire! One!” the villain yelled out with anger, struggling against his restraints. “And I get arrested for it! I know my rights!” He was being very difficult and the news lady could only gather from the crowd of people and firefighters around the burning building that the villain was responsible for it.
“Thanks again, Zombie King,” said the officer after finally getting the villain into the patrol car. “We had zero casualties thanks to you. We were having trouble putting this guy down.” As the car drove off, the small news crew lept into action.
“Start the camera!” the woman yelled as she got closer to the hero. “Hello, sir. I am with Tokyo NNN. If you have the time we would like to get an interview with you.” When the Zombie King agreed, she looked at the cameraman, who lifted up the camera and started rolling. This could be her chance for the scoop of the century. She would be the first ever to interview the new pro hero.
“Hello, Tokyo City,” she said looking into the camera. “We here at Tokyo NNN are reporting to you live at Shinjuku with the newest pro hero on the scene as he takes down another villain. The Zombie King. Villains beware of this hero, here to take on Tokyo’s worst villains.” She turned to the Zombie King. “Mr. Zombie King, we are all excited to hear about how you came to be the new pro of Tokyo. Tell us. How did you come to be our new protector?” She held the microphone up to Zombie King, waiting for his response.

Today has been hell in a handbasket. Hinata thought to himself as he shoved the screaming villain into the patrol car- the reason he was as loopy as he was and admitted to arson was due to the lingering effects of his quirk on him. The Miasma has some strange effects on others. The reason Hinata was putting the man in the restraints and putting him in the car, was due to the man's quirk, he had a fire creation quirk. So the officers requested he deal with him since this is his area of expertise. Which sadly, dealing with dangerous dumbasses with quirks is his main deal these days.
When the man asked about his rights, Hinata let out a deep "You were given your rights, but you forshake them," Hinata said as he finally managed to put the villain in the back of the cop car. Hinata let out a deep sigh as he slams the door of the cop car and walks over to the police officers, who for once properly thanks him. Which threw him a bit for a loop, but he played it cool, and tilt his head to the side casually said, "No problem, just glad to hear nobody got too to hurt," Hinata said as he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly and rolled it back up, the circumstances were just folded his way. He didn't need such praise, but it felt nice. But honestly, Hinata had mixed feelings, about all the attention he has been accumulating since taking down those gun-totting criminals with hell-hound and Redhorn, this was an issue for various reasons, but at least now people know who he is and won't run away from the sight of him anymore and some people even respected him more, but Hinata knew this respect was fickle if he did anything too outside of the law he'd be condemned by the same people.
As the police car drove away and the crowd started to dissipate after some short "good job's" and "you're cool zombie king's," a camera was shoved into Hinata's face unexpectedly as he was about to go back onto his patrol of the streets, a blond woman asked him for an interview after confirming she was from Tokyo NNN. The heavy high-end camera confirmed as such to him. Hinata blinks once, but he quickly collected his nerves and nods his head and spoke clearly, "Yes, of course, but only for a few moments," Hinata felt like he was going to regret this, but the PR team that contacted him after the gun-totting incident told him if anybody wanted to interview him to agree with it, so he could garner people's approval, which he wasn't seeking, but needed still.
Hinata listened to the woman introducing him as a new pro-hero who took down another villain and blowing him up as this huge heroic person that he knew he wasn't. And she went as far as calling him the protector of the city. Hinata felt that was a bit much. But Hinata didn't comment on any of it, and when she asked her question to him, Hinata knew he couldn't tell her the whole truth, it would make him look bad, so he had to play modest and be evasive of the truth despite him wanting to tell her the truth.
Hinata smiles politely at the woman and the camera as he speaks clearly to her mic with his answer, "Thank you, and I'm am happy to hear that" He said lying through his teeth, as he looked thoughtful to her question before giving her another smile, "I'd say, I was given a unique opportunity to help my fellow man that only a select few can say that they were ever given." Hinata boldly twisted the circumstances of his 'heroic' start instead of the truth that he was given an ultimatum of life of prison or be a tool of the government. "So I'd say I am lucky to be here today, to be helping people as I am." Hinata says with a bold-faced lie of a smile. While he likes helping people he wouldn't call himself lucky. But life is funny that way.

To be honest, the woman didn't want to do these types of interviews. She hated anyone really that could use a quirk and thought that the only reason that heroes were here was to take away her precious spotlight. She believed that all heroes were just conspirators who put villains in jail just for show and then let them out again just so they could keep soaking up the benefits of their rewards. One day, she could prove it. One day... But right now heroes were all the rage. And if she wanted that anchorwoman position, she was going to have to play ball and give the people what they wanted.
But she would the right answers out of Zombie King. The answers that people wanted. Not the boring that she had to take and was given. The woman felt like it was more to the answer. Zombie King was probably saying what his PR team told him to say. But she wasn't here for that. She needed the juicy details. The things that Tokyo City wanted to hear about their everyday heroes. If she could get a story out the Chief of Tokyo Police, she could certainly get a secret out of a hero-wannabe. She knew that this young man had more. She just had to find the right doors
"What a modest and humble hero!" the newslady said into the camera, giving a fake smile of her own. She turned to face Zombie King before continuing. "So tell me. Most heroes come with some awesome quirks or abilities to ensure the safety fo the fair citizens of Japan. If I may ask, Mr. Zombie King, what quirk do you possess?"
Neither two notice that the cameraman rolled his eyes, thinking in his mind 'That's freaking obvious you dumb blonde!' But he kept filming anyway. He needed the job to get through college and hopefully graduate to get away from her. Back to the newswoman, she held up the microphone to continue the interview with the Zombie King.

Hinata didn't like doing interviews as he is learning, his face started to hurt from the fake smiling already, and he could feel his gut twisting from lying. He is not the type of person to lie to people's faces like this. It felt wrong to lie. Despite not being a fan of interviewers or the media, he still felt weird lying. Hinata just wanted this to be over. So he could go back to work and on patrol. He felt like this was a waste of time, but he also didn't want to be too rude and make himself look bad. So here he was stuck by social obligations.
Hinata was very much not a public figure or was good at PR as some of the other's pros' so he felt really out of his element since everybody assumes he was a new pro on the scene despite being a Pro-hero for two years already. And it was annoying how everybody assumed he was new at this. But Hinata was getting used to it at this point. But Hinata kept up his painful smile as the interviewer called him modest and humble.
Hinata's most dreaded question getting asked came up-his quirk, for only for a moment, his smile faltered, but he barely managed not to break character. He remembered his government told him all those years ago. That he can't lie about his quirk to civilians or government officials but doesn't mean he can't sugar coat it at least, so Hinata forced out a smile and said, "I breathe out a thick haze that pacifies people that find themselves within it." Hinata said with a smile trying his best to sugarcoat his quirk as best as he can without going into the gory details about it. Hopefully, this woman doesn't ask for a follow-up question wait he didn't catch her name, oh no, What did he get himself into?

'That is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard of,' the newslady thought to herself. 'Tough it out, girl! The anchor position is right there. All I got to do is get this interview...' In her mind, she was becoming less and less of a fan of the Zombie King. But on the outside, she kept fake smiling. Fake smiles get views. Fake smiles get awards. Fake smiles get her that anchorwoman position and a seven-figure salary.
"Well that sounds... interesting," said the newslady, keeping up her fake smile. "Let's explore more on that. Is it poisonous or does make the villains your zombies?" she joked with a laugh. The cameraman rolled his eyes at the dumb blonde. Did she really think that joke was funny? If he was the Zombie King, he would call off the whole interview. But he knew that the PRs for heroes kept them tied up in this stuff. But of all the people that this could get, why her? Why did he choose to work for her? Maybe the check... no that can't be it.
"But on a serious note," the newslady continued, "what is the full extent of that? That is a very rare ability among the hero community and that sounds like you can down some strong opponents with that. I am sure that the viewers at home would like to more know more. Does it make opponents incapacitated or is it poisonous when someone breathes it in?"

Hinata knew his quirk was gross, so he was thankful the woman that was interviewing him was as understanding as he had hoped on the subject. But thankfully, the two were decent at faking a smile through social events, and the likes, a fine skill to have in these trying times.
Hinata takes back his mental note as the woman asked the seriously hard-hitting questions now. But thankfully, she joked about it turning villains into zombies, which he heard a few times, and which he threatened that it does to some villains. Hinata faked a laugh as he says, "Oh, no-no it doesn't turn people into zombies, we'd be in a zombie movie by now if it does." Hinata joked perhaps a little too darkly for some people's taste, but he didn't seem to notice.
And the interview went back on track and she was now asking another loaded question. The public does deserve to know about his quirk and he legally can't lie about his quirk to civilians. Hinata sheepishly scratched his undamaged cheek and spoke up about his quirk.
"Ah yes, Of course, It is quite an effective quirk- especially against crowds," Hinata started, "I wouldn't quite say poisonous, more noxious than anything else, it has various effects on people who breathe it in, ranging from weakness, exhaustion, cramps, and makes it hard to see, but nothing that lasts too long," Hinata hate how transparent he has to be about this since the Japanese government told him he has to be transparent or risk being punished even if it costs him his advantage in a fight.

The woman had covered many stories before. One time, she covered a boring man who stated that he built the largest pancake in the world. That ended terribly when she fell on top of giant flapjack and was covered head to toe in syrup. That took her weeks to get that off. Then she had another one about an animal shelter who was rescuing animals who needed homes. Why would she care about that? Needless to say, she had to do the assignment, and, in return, she became one of the foul creature's toilet for the day, ruining her brand new blazer. After that, she swore she wouldn't do any more ridiculous stories like that.
But here she was again. In another boring, ridiculous story about a man-zombie whose face looks like it got hit by a truck. And he wasn't giving her anything besides information on his boring quirk. Enough this. Time to go in on this story. But she had to be patient about the hard-hitting questions. That time was coming soon. But first, one must go through the personal door to get the truth. To get the anchorwoman position. And this zombie was going to give it to her, whether he likes it or not.
"Interesting," she said wearing a fake smile for the camera. "But let's talk about the man behind the hero suit. Being the new pro, you must have all the ladies fighting over you." Or running from you, she thought to herself. "Tell me. Does the Zombie King have a special Zombie Queen at home?"
The cameraman rolled eyes. He hated her stupid puns and questions. The guy was cool enough without being hounded by some blonde who look like they went 20 plastic surgeries. He wishes he could help the Zombie King get out of this. But he needed the job to pay next month's rent. This internship sucked.
It seemed that Zombie King was about to answer his question when his phone went off. He excused himself and went to talk to the person who was on the phone. When he returned. He apologized, saying an emergency had came up. And with that he hopped in his car and headed off.
The news lady stood there, flabbergasted. Did this zombie really leave her interview just like that? How could he? This was her moment and chance to be big and he threw it away like it was nothing. "There goes your story boss lady," said the cameraman, laughing a little at the turn of events. All the news lady could do was glare at her young companion.
