Every day felt like the same. She got up early in the morning, would take care of Kai. Drop him off with his dad for breakfast and would go and refresh herself and dress. Go get her own food, head to the gym and well the days would just go on. She would try to make her days a little different by going to the store while the gym was running fine and of course not every day was exactly the same but the routine was starting to get too much. Did she mind? Not really. But today was a different day, today Hanako turned twenty-seven and she was going to celebrate that by staying in bed all day. Though that was just a thought with how she would tackle it, Hanako thought about maybe working in the garden today and just sleeping in. Kai was getting better with sleeping after early breakfast, which today he had at five in the morning, so that was a blessing. She lay on her right side, with her nose towards the bathroom door when she opened her eyes at around eight-thirty. Which was quite a time for mama Hanako.
She stretched her arms and legs as far as she could while making a soft whiny sound. God this already felt like a great start for her birthday and she quickly rolled to her left side so she could see if her husband was still there. If he was she would immediately comply by snuggling close to him and closing her eyes while her head was on his chest, her legs over his and just her arms across his stomach as well. Like a little koala. She mumbled a "Good morning handsome." But kept her eyes closed. Not that she was really dozing off again but it was definitely working to relax and just enjoy today. Today was going to be fine, she could maybe play outside with little Kai and G and see him walk again and hm, today was really good day to have your birthday.
Her black hair tossled, her eyes closed, a smile on her face, her t-shirt had crawled up to make it look like a crop top and it was a nice sunny weather, she could already feel that from the little specs of sunlight that tried to make its way through the curtains. Bless May birthdays, this was her day and she had all the intentions to fully enjoy it.

G was wide awake, granted he pretended to sleep when hana was giving Kai his 5am breakfast. He rested and pretended to sleep, but in actuality listened. He waited for Hana to be done, for Kai to fall asleep and for Hana to do te same. Around 6:55 or 7. G slowly snuck out the bed and snuck out the room. He quickly went to the front door and opened it
"Do you got the stuff?" G whispered to someone
The someone was a youngster, probably Miku or Haruuhi's age. Give or take a year. He wore clothes much like other G's smalltime Vigilantes do. The thing that set him apart was darker hair and glasses
"You got it Boss. Here you go" he whispered handing G a fresh cake. And a pupper that was on the leash.
"Thanks" G whispered
"No problem Boss" he whispered back and left
G had to let someone safe guard the cake he ordered and the puppy he got. Simply because he couldnt hide that. And he couldnt make that a surprise. He put the puppy in the guest room and shushed it. And then quickly went ahead and put candles on the cake and lit them. Looking at the time he quickly picked up the cake and went to Hana.
Soon upon arriving to the room. He starting singing Happy Birthday to Hana. "Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you. Happy birthday cutie~ Happy Birthday to you~"
He soon let her blow out the candles.
If one has a keen eye. They'd see G was not dressed at all. Instead just had his pj's. Which is a white t shirt and underwear shorts. He wanted to surprise Hana with her birthday as soon as she woke up. He wanted to pamper her the moment she woke up for real as he knew she wanted to have a day to stay in bed.

She turned around and noticed she had been hugging a pillow and she narrowed her eyes as her husband stood next to the bed. Huh? She wanted to just hug him and sleep and she lifted her hands to give the grabby hand action. Hanako was tired and she wanted her free day but finally she woke up a little more and noticed the cherry cake. She would sit up, sitting on her legs and she blew out the candles after she made sure her hair would not fall in the cake or in the little pits of fire and she smiled. "Can we first cuddle then eat a piece of cake after that?" She was sure it was all fine and she was just going to be fine about it and she hoped he would put it away and she took him in her arms and cuddled and she smiled and hugged him, kissed him and wanted to show in general that she was happy. Last year they did not celebrate her birthday because they were in a break-up. She did not want to think about it and to be honest, Hanako had no time to think about that with cuddling, kissing and just general them time as Kai was still sleeping. It was a miracle that he wasn't woken up by the sound of G singing, did that sound hot or what?
Hanako took a piece of the cake, a small bit and it was so tasty and good, she took a piece of the whipped cream and put it on G's nose and couldn't stop giggling for quite a few minutes. She licked the whipped cream of her fingers and continued with eating her cake, "I want today to be a great day." She mumbled between her bites of cake. Last year sucked, so this year, twenty-seven would be all for it.

G nodded and put the cake away and quickly went back to Hana's side and hugged and kissed her "Of course we can cuddle". He hugged and cuddled his waifu as much as she wanted to be kissed and cuddled and pampered. Today was a day he makes her feel like a Queen. After they had some time to themselves. G got her a piece of cake and served it to her. And then he watched her eat and her expressions of happiness
As he admired her. Hana put a piece of said cake and put it on his nose. She giggled and then G said "Now now. You know you gotta clean it up" which was what Hana did as she licked it off. Then as she ate, she spoke she wants today to be great. G nodded "I agree. And thats why I will make sure it is your best day. Besides, I still have another gift"
They had a puppy, a real pet. Not a quirk, not a robot and not a quirked pet. Just a regular classic. He just needed a way to show the gift to Hana. But he didnt fret. G was sure he would think of something

Hanako couldn't help but laugh because of the whipped cream on G. Her eyes laughed as well and her lips couldn't stop smiling. It was definitely different from four months ago. Surely Hanako had moments that she would fall back, moments that made her afraid and so on, but she would not give up. She smirked at G, licked off the cream and would just lay on her back, watch the ceiling and enjoy their time with just the two of them for how long it would take. She looked up at her husband though when she said it had to be the best day and he admitted he had another gift. "Another one?" She looked around but saw nothing, "And what might that gift be and when do I get it?" She sat up immediately after saying so. Showing that she was excited and wondering what would this be about. "Or do I first need to get dressed and all?"
She was not sure what they would do or what they could do. It was nice weather out there, that's all she knew and they could go outside, she would just check in a bit if Kai was awake or not and well many other things. She would maybe fix her hair, get up a little, they could just enjoy things at home, they could play outside in the garden with little Kai, watch him walk. She would just eagerly look at G again to see if there was something coming up now before putting another bite of the cherry cake in her mouth. Today she turned twenty-seven, that was such a strange idea. Her eyes wandered to the door to Kai's baby room, next month, exactly 30 days, he would turn one. How the world changed and how it seemed to go by so rapidly, it made her shiver.

G nodded "Yep, another one" he confirmed that there was one more gift. Hana asked what can that gift be and when will she get it, immeadiately sitting ip and showing excitement
"Well well. Do you want me to bring the gift now. Though you have to promise to close your eyes" G said and then added "and no peeking!"
If Hana wanted the gift now, he would tell her to close her eyes now as he went to get it. Soon bringing a little dalmatian puppy with a heart shaped black spot on its nose. He held it in his arms. When he brought the pupper and held the doggy, he would tell his wife to open her eyes "You can open your eyes"
G wanted to think outside the box. Everyone and their mother had a Shiba Inu in Japan. But G wanted to be unique. Seeing dalmatians can have a heart shaped spot with their dots seemed so perfect and romantic that he had to find one. To him, it was a dog of romance and it was perfect because it was normal and not fantastical in any way. Now he wondered what Hana would think. He hoped Hana would like the puppy, it was small and cute. Well to G at least

She was excited, there was no reason in hiding it right? This was her birthday after all and like she had done on his, it seemed that both partners tried to work the hardest, show the best side to the other when it came to giving presents and Hanako liked that idea a lot. Which was why she got excited and sat up immediately. She pouted a little and she would just nod, "Yes please." That meant there was no need to change dresses or go away or anything and she would nod again with the pout. "Okaaaay." A tad whiny, but that was fine she just wanted to see what was going on. She would wait for G to leave the room and would get off the bed, sit on the edge, a little more comfy and her feet not he ground and put her hands up against her forehead with her fingers and her palms on her cheekbones, hiding her eyes. She closed her fingers carefully and her eyes as well as not to peak. He was showing effort than so should she.
She would wait for G to come back, she heard only his footsteps, so he must be carrying something and she wondered what it be. She wiggled a bit in anticipation and impatience. What could it be and she opened her eyes and lowered her hands when he said she could. Her blue eyes turned big and she stared at the little bundle of joy and heaved her hands to take it. She was obviously speechless but look at it, the little darling, it tail was going back and forth so fast and she made a aahw sound while holding on to it, letting it lick her wrists and arms. "You are so pretty." They got a dog.

G had a huge smile on his face when Hana held out her hands to hold the puppy, the grabby hands gesture was priceless. He gently handed over the doggie and watched the two with a smile
As Hana enjoyed her time with the puppy, he turned his head and glanced at Kai who was still asleep. He turned back to Hana "I am giving you the honours of naming this one. Your gift after all" he said and waited for Hana to name the doggie
G went to Kai for sec, just to see if he was sleeping peacefully. Just because they had a doggie does not mean Kai should be forgotten. He was their baby after all and G as the daddy had to check to see if everything was ok. Once he checked quietly and made sure Kai was all good. He went back to Hana and asked her "So baby. Did you think of a name?"
He waited and listened eagerly and curiously, wondering what Hana would name the dog. He knew it was going to be a Japanese name. They are in Japan after all. But he wondered what name should she choose. Maybe he can guess? Little he knew that before he made a guess that she would name the doggie

"Oh god you are so precious, aren't you? Yes you are?" Hanako did not see the huge smile eating G's face as she was only looking for the little puppy and she held her (that was easy to figure out) in her arms and Hanako held her up and checked her, only making a soft cry sound as she noticed the nose, "Oh my god." She rubbed the puppy her face with Hana's cheek, "You have a heart-shaped nose, you are so pretty." A Dalmatian, who would have thought. Hanako had not thought about it. They did talk about getting a dog ages ago. It had been the way to cover-up the pregnancy as they had shared so much in one go that Hanako had stomped on G's foot, said something so stupid to not overwhelm Miku and Haruuhi, especially because the latter at that point had seemed to be rather not enthusiastic. But now they had a dog, almost a year later, a little longer but she was so cute. She looked up when G said it was her pick and she looked at the puppy who looked at her and she frowned, "What should we call you?" She booped the puppy's nose and as it began to bark she gave a worried grin at G. "Oops."
But Kai was already awake and was playing with its toys, trying to put its little foot in its mouth still, but he was growing quite fast, he was almost a year old after all. He looked up, immediately stopped what he was doing when daddy appeared. Obviously the sound had scared him a little and he quickly lifted up his hands for G to hold him. He wanted to see what was going on. And once G and Kai returned to mommy, the puppy had been rolled up on the bed and seemed to be already quite tired but looking at everything with its bright eyes, and Hana stood in front of the mirror, finally getting dressed. Seems like Hanako already gave off an aura of what not to do, the puppy wasn't moving in for the cake. "I can't decide between Ai or Kokoro." She smiled at her husband and came back to kiss Kai on his cheek. "Goodmorning handsome." before she looked at G and gave him a long kiss, getting a pat of Kai on her cheek. "Thank you, so tell me what you like more."

G was absolutely happy with how Hana liked the dog. Honestly he forgot about their lil cover up from almost a year ago. He remembered they wanted a dog, but forgot any details that werent pleasant or important. Now as Hana had fun with the doggie.
She booped the puppies nose and it marked. She looked at G and oopsed. "Dont worry baby. You're golden" he said as Hana didnt need to worry about booping. G went to check on Kai who was awake and startled by papa
"Awww, cutie pie. Let dada hold you" G said and picked Kai up and carried him back to mama Hana who was with puppie.
Hana said she cant decide between Ai and Kokoro and then she kissed Kai on the cheek and greeted hi and then looked at G and gave him a longer kiss. One kiss that he returned. And then Kai patted her cheek. Once they exchanged kisses and everything G spoke
"I am leaning towards Kokoro more. Maybe I can call her Koko for short. Ai seems too short." G said as he gave his opinion to Hana, but ultimately it all depended on her and what she wanted. He gave his thoughts, but she has the final decision

While they stood next to the bed, it was obvious that the puppy was interested in this new little creature. Its head went up and the tail made a soft thud sound every time it wagged it by seeing another little human. Hanako turned to the puppy, still without a name as she just suggested it to G and was waiting for his information. She wanted to kiss him again but Kai didn't like it and well they had to divide their attention now. She was actually glad to see how Kai held on to G and was close to him but his blue eyes quickly noticed the dog and it turned big. Surely Kai had seen more puppies in his few months but probably never up so close. "I think they should meet, would you hold Kai so he feels safe, I will hold the puppy." Before that G had said something and Hanako had not really responded as she was considering her answer, "Let's do that. Koko, short for Kokoro and thus the beautiful mark on her nose." Hanako smiled and went to sit down. The little puppy immediately moved towards her, wagging her tail and Hana smiled. "You are going to be our second pair of hands full aren't you?"
Now she turned to G, with a slight worried look in her eyes but she wanted to try this. "Come Kai, you should pet like this." She showed it by softly moving her hand over the dog's head and down the little back. She showed it again and watched G to encourage him to do it as well and show Kai. It should be a soft and delicate matter where both the puppy and especially Kai should feel safe. He was her priority but she wanted them to get along.

G nodded. He would keep Kai safe and he liked the idea. Granted he was already worried if Kai hurt the dog and pulled her tail. Likewise he was worried if Koko hurts Kai with baby teeth biting. G resolved to keep Kai safe and not all that handsy. He noticed how Hana talked and decided on the name Koko, that made him smile so much.
Eventually, Hana turned to G. She had a slightly worried look in her eyes. And as soon as he heard Hana's words, G had the same look in his eyes. He walked over to Hana and Koko and let the two mingle.
"Y-yeah Kai. Just watch how mommy does it" G said to his son
He watched Kai, and Hana and Koko. He watched Kai reach out, G considered if he should help guide Kai's hand. He was so worried and scared for his boys safety, he was scared and worried about everything.
He watched then Hana to see her expression and what she'd do. He watched Koko to see how she is reacting and if she's calm. His fatherly overprotective insticts are kicking and his heart is pounding. Luckily at least he wasnt sweaty yet. But he wasnt that far off yet

Obviously the puppy didn't sit still for the first few moments until Hana was a little sterner in her face and it would remain seated, but its tail was wagging so harshly back and forth, trying to contain its energy for sure. Kai would hold on to G with both his arms around his father's neck but his eyes on the puppy as Kai was interested but slightly afraid. Kai looked at G before looking at Mommy and extending his hand, which meant G had to hunch down before Kai could follow his mother's example, he wasn't as smooth as Hanako was, patting the dog a little more like smacking on the head. Hana bit her lip as it looked funny and she watched Koko to see what the little puppy would do, but not much changed, it only barked once and Kai pulled his hand back but as nothing had happened, he looked at G again before making a "Eh" sound and wanting to pet the dog again.
Hanako nodded, this was going fine, as Koko started to lick Kai's hand and their boy laughed about it. This was better than... the corners of her mouth dropped, then another baby. She blinked the tears that showed up in the corner of her eyes away and put Koko on the ground. "I think she needs to go outside, so why don't we have more cake and breakfast in the garden?" She suggested and looked up after patting the little dog on the head and kissing Kai on his cheek, "My brave boy, aren't you?" Hana smiled and thought about it, "Did you buy her a collar or should we still try and do so today?" That meant they would have to go outside and see how it would go. It was good to stay in the garden for most so Koko could learn what her new territory was. Oh she was so cute with her waggling tail and looking from one at the other.

G was worried sick as he watched Kai pat the lil Koko. His heart was beating and, he was getting shaky. But Koko seemed calm and licked Kai's hand. G still was scared and worried Koko wuld nibble or worse... BITE Kai. Soon Hana put Koko on the ground, which was a lil sigh of relief. She said Koko may need to go to the garden, G nodded and sat down besides Hana and held Kai. He felt his legs gave out so he couldnt stay.
"S-sure...We can do that" G said
Funny enough Hana kissed Kai on the cheek to say how Kai was brave. And indeed he was. G was the one who was a stressed and overprotective mess
"C-collar? No... I-I wanted you to p-personally pick that" his heart was still pounding like crazy. He couldnt help his protective nature. He had his own experience with animals and he didnt want Kai to get hurt. Puppies tended to chew a lot due to their teeth growing and so he was scared of Kai being very hurt and losing a finger. Well, best one doesnt know what kind of imagery G can imagine.
He shook his head and looked at Hana
"Baby, we can buy the collar whenever you want. If you want today, we can do that" he said and then got up and went to put Kai in his baby bed so he can fetch Hana more cake to serve. He moved slowly though because he didnt wanna trip and fall. Its funny, he felt now the clumsy roles were reversed

Hanako had no idea that G was so worried, it seemed to be going fine in her eyes and in the end, Kai laughed as Koko licked his hand and when it was done she put the little pupper on the ground to get dressed herself. She would turn around to see a rather pale husband sitting on their bed and half-dressed she hurried back to climb next to him, "Honey, what's wrong?" She already kissed Kai for his bravery and just looked at G. In the meantime, Kai was moving his hands and legs to try and get down to Koko and laughing and giggling about it. The little puppy pushed his front paws up to the bed to be closer to Kai and bark softly at him, which at first surprised the baby but soon he laughed about it. The puppy began to whine and Kai tried to pet it a little, it finally managed when Koko pushed her front paws to G's knee and Hanako looked at the two of them with a raised eyebrow. "I think Kai stole my present." She laughed a little, still having zero clues about the protective level that G felt about their little baby.
She got up again as G looked at her and got up as well. She would fix her jeans now and knotted a t-shirt as a crop-top and looked in the mirror to fix her hair that was a mess. She turned around, "Baby." She said surprised by seeing how he walked around. "Stop it, we are here with the baby and the puppy, it is fine. Nothing will happen." Koko sat now near Kai's bed looking up, wagging its tail on the floor which made a swishing sound. "She already adores him and vice versa. Just let us be there with them all the time and before you know it, Koko will do everything for our baby boy." She walked back and took a piece of the cake with the fork in her mouth. "Let's go to the garden, maybe we can try to picknick some breakfast and have Koko learn to be outside and where she can go." She took Kai out of his bed again and dressed him too before going downstairs, making sure Koko would come along. Only for the little pupper to hesitate at the grand stairs not sure if she could do that or not and Hana stood halfway to encourage her but she did not dare.
