So swing forth your axe and at once make your choice. Aim for her neck on the bed. Or let fear take over and instead you will lose the axe and your own pretty head. The rain pittered a pitiful patter, drumming patterns across the puddles as Deimos walked ever so slowly to his destination. Though it drizzled, the sun peeked through the clouds at points creating errant, transient rainbows. Dark eyes remained fixed on the quaint little warehouse down in a succulent piece of Tokyo. A key strategic point in keeping supplies up and forces maintained. Deimos himself suggested the area to his patron, one of the mighty lieutenants of the Plutocracy, but she dismissed him. Told him to do as he liked. So here he was. Footsteps crashed around him, six of his best men walking to his pace. They wore similar clothing - dark suits with sunglasses - and they were all rather tall and physically imposing; much like Deimos himself who wore a half-buttoned red shirt under his open suit. Curly black hair sat on his head and a rusty red glare surveyed the land. This area was, as said before, extremely valuable to the Plutocracy. So much so, he was willing to assault it and take it over in one fell swoop. He brought his peer, Phobos, to deal with some troublesome foes. And an up-and-coming recruit, Fury or whatever she liked to call herself, was given a chance to prove herself against some of the weaker sort. But Deimos. Deimos had a bit of a bigger job. Plutocracy obviously knew of the Storm Knights, their exploits were not few. Their range of powerful members and see-saw morals made them a thorn not easily removed with finesse. It was only a matter of time before they were sent to snuff them out. Deimos had just decided to take the initiative. He saw him there, at the front of the warehouse. Arms crossed as if waiting for him. Their eyes met for a second. Stopping about ten meters away, Deimos sighed. He could see movement in the warehouse. His peers would likely be moving in as Deimos spoke, though his voice seemed too loud to be speaking only to G. "We're here for the land. Not for a fight." Such was true for him at least. "Leave peacefully and you have my word no one will be harmed. No prisoners taken. No lives lost." The dread seriousness of his voice echoed off the nearby buildings. This courtyard-like space he and his men stood in was rounded by other shops and warehouses. Inexplicably silent and motionless. "If you resist..."Deimos reached for the inner pocket of his suit jacket, unfazed by any threats or words. Instead of a weapon, he pulled out a piece of folded paper, unfolded it slowly and read aloud its contents. "Hajimari Gabriel. Aged twenty-seven. Married to Hajimari Hanako, aged twenty-six. Father of Hajimari Kai, aged eleven months." Deimos looked back to G and waved the paper in his direction. "I vowed never to orphan children... Luckily for you, I'm the more reasonable of those sent to you today. The others will not stop their attacks unless I give the word." Despite a very thick Spanish accent, his voice was clear. "I will give you five minutes. Make your choice. Surrender and leave. Or I'll have to break my vow."Thus was his ultimatum; Deimos of the Plutocracy. A man of single chances. And very little patience. Deimos is a C-ranking member of the Plutocracy. His quirk is as of right now Unknown. His physical and mental capabilities are Unknown. Five other opponents await a response to the ultimatum and will attack if Deimos is threatened or attacked - they will also defend themselves. These opponents have, at a base, the following stats: + D-rank Strength. + D-rank Speed. + D-rank Durability. If they have quirks, they are Unknown as of right now. Deimos has given the Storm Knights time to prepare and answer his ultimatum - However, be aware that two other points of the hideout are under attack by Plutocracy troops! Time is of the essence! You have 7 days to reply to this thread to count as participating. After that point, or when the thread is filled, a posting order will be established.

It was a rainy day, the Storm Knights were in the warehouse probably planning an assualt or an attack. Basically strategizing. G meanwhile was out, not only as the lookout but as the first line of defence. Yeah, there were other unaffiliated Vigilante in the area. But this front was G's. He was there, arms crossed waiting for an inevitable attack. He was ready to defend what was his.
Soon the enemy batallion arrived. Plutocracy flunkies. They soon stopped and one spoke. They were here for land not a fight. G wasnt buying what he was selling. There was no way Plutocracy would allow any Vigilante out alive. They were a hindrace to any Plutocracy activity. They wanna use this chance to crush them. G then said as he glared "And if we resist?" To which the guy replied... no he first reached in an inner pocket. G kept his poker face and just watched what he was doing. The guy pulled out a letter, a paper. He soon read it. And said G's real name... like his real legal name. Hell, he even recently changed it to Gabriel... how did he know?! He knew his name, age. Hana's name and age. Even Kai. It was clear what he was doing. He wanted to rouse a reaction, make him angry or afraid or make him think he had some edge.
The guy almost had G... the key word being almost. The guy said that G has 5 minutes. Surrender or die. Well, guess what choice G made. G did not reply to Deimos. Not verbally. Instead he summoned Goliath who just quickly dashes right in front of the him. He then goes to strike Deimos with one of his claws. One could say it's a glorified sucker punch, where Goliath uses his speed and shock value of just being materialized G meanwhile was immobile, just showing his superiority that he can will a being into existence, and has power without moving his finger. He then finally spoke "Get off my property!!" G said angrily, as that was the closest thing to an answer. He didnt think for 5 minutes. He struck the guy as soon as he stopped talking. G was willing to take a risk. If the guy threatened Kai, G would've been shook. But when the threat was that Kai would be an orphan... Well... G could gamble with his life. He was a big boy. A man. A leader. A King. He was going to defeat the Plutocracy. Single handedly if needed. If needed he can end his story here defending this place. But what was certain was that he would not let the Plutocracy win.

- i'm the only fire that can live through the rain -
Ugh, rain, the bane of Elena's existence outside of actual issues like villains, bills, and the legality of everything she did. She was standing in the doorway outside of the rain when the group gathered. Comparatively she was dry as bone to the rest of them, still in her work uniform having come as soon as she could, but the steam that was still coming off of her was annoyingly thick. She swiped at it to keep it from collecting around her face. Ugh, the moisture in the air was such a pain in the ass.
"Can we take this inside? If I stand here the whole warehouse is going to turn into a sauna," she grumbled towards G. Sure they had some unaffiliated vigilantes here but they could vet them in the dryness of the warehouse rather than the doorway, right?
Well...yes, they could have, but that changed when an entirely unfamiliar person made their presence known. Elena shoved her bangs aside to get a better look at them and, before they even spoke, she looked confused. Their skin color and hair looked not too different from her own--a bit paler, and his hair was still naturally dark instead of bleached white, but the man was clearly European, and his accent only confirmed it. Another Spaniard? She pursed her lips together. What the heck? It wasn't Antonio, was it? His hair was too dark and too long, and his voice too deep.
"Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition." She said loud enough for the stranger to hear, but more to the gang than to Deimos. His words weren't very friendly. So they wanted the warehouse, huh? Alright, big whoop, they probably didn't know who they were handling. This guy wasn't a cop, so was he part of some criminal gang? Then he went from a serious, collected drone to giving a pretty pointed threat. If it had just been some shit on G, Elena wouldn't have been too worried. Oh no, they had dirt on a known criminal, perish the thought. The thing about his real name was new.
But he just had to go and mention Hana and Kai.
Bien. Es hora de golpear a un compatriota.
Elena's eyes went to G again, trying to judge his face before she flew off the cuff. Was he considering? Elena wanted to punch his face in. But. She was the sort who didn't think about this sort of threat and instead went for the bat in her backpack. If he was going to deem the warehouse less of a loss than taking this fellow on then...
Ah, nope, there was Goliath spawning from nowhere. Elena reached for the bag around her back, and a cruel grin pulled her lips apart. Without much time at all the light in her left eye began to grow brighter and brighter and brighter, until it was nearly blinding to look at, and then in a second the rest of Elena's body lit up in the same brilliantly blue flames as around her eye--all except for her right hand, which remained made of flesh as it plucked a metal bat from within the bag. The handle fell away as it, too, burned up, but at least the contents inside wouldn't be consumed.
Her uniform charred to ash in seconds. Hidden beneath the fire, her suit would give her some modesty if she got knocked out of this form. The rain was the biggest detriment to that, buuut... "I needed some stress relief anyway. Jeffe, keep me dry."
Without more pause for thought or planning Elena rushed out behind Goliath. With the bat she swung out to the other side that the giant bug-crab-thing weaved with his punch, the heavy metal coming in at Deimos's knees rather than his face. Trying to grab her would burn him, trying to dodge her might leave him open to getting socked by Goliath. But at the same time she couldn't get too close if the bug was fighting him. They were, after all, literally fire and water. Sometimes that was fine, like when they were both in close like this. If he needed to go to ranged attacks, not so fine.
"Me estás dando una mal nombre! Vete a la mierda!"
wC: 741, @whoever else is here, why are so many criminals spanish??

Rain. It was just there. To Kenshin, it was neither a blessing nor a curse. Not even a mild inconvenience. He did not even need an umbrella, finding it to be unnecessary. Sure, his vigilante outfit was drenched, but it could always be dried later. His helmet covered his head and prevented a single hair from getting wet, so no need to worry about that. The boy saw obstacles in his path like the rain. They were not necessarily a bad thing, and there was no need to constantly worry about them. It was inevitable when they came, and they would never be insurmountable.
Speaking of obstacles, Kenshin peered out through the window and noticed people approaching. Oh boy, this can't be good. What do they want? Fortunately, one of these guys made his intentions clear. Unfortunately, it was anything but good news. As the boy stepped outside to have a clearer view of the people that he and the others would have to deal with, Kenshin froze upon hearing the Spanish guy mention not only G's name, but Hanako and even Kai.
Oh, you motherfucking son of a bitch! You did NOT just say that shit out loud!
If there was one thing that pissed off the boy more than anything, it was a scumbag threatening the people he cared about. In fact, the one thing that stopped Kenshin from rushing over to attack and beat the stupid out of that guy was G and Elena beating him to the punch. Threatening G was one thing. But his wife and son too? They had nothing to do with this! Such cowardice was unforgivable!
But if these goons were willing to get dirty to try and get what they wanted, then Kenshin had no qualms with throwing down. If these guys thought that they could try and make the Storm Knights run away, then clearly they failed to do thorough enough research on their targets. Kenshin was no runner. He was a damn fighter! And the only thing these guys were getting were an ass-kicking. The boy would help make sure of it!
"Henshin!"
The green grid of lines began to cover the boy's body with his quirk's activation, with his armor quickly materializing on top of the grid. Once the boy was suited up, his left hand glowed and elongated, transforming into the red blade of hard light. Although he did not rush forward immediately, he was more than ready to do so. But first, his attention was on someone else. Specifically, those goons that were with the Spanish guy.
"Go ahead and try to attack my comrades, assholes. I dare you."
Of course, Kenshin doubted that those other guys that were with the Spanish asshole would not try and interfere. But it did not matter if they did. The moment they tried to attack and ambush the two vigilantes, Kenshin would prepare to intercept and blitz them with his enhanced speed, incredible blade strength, and skilled swordsmanship. Though if they did not make the first move, then Kenshin would just stand there and observe, seeing what they would try to do. As tempting as it was to just rush at them, it was best to see what they could do before recklessly charging. After all, haste leads to mistakes. Sometimes, deadly ones.
As much as he wanted to beat the crap out of that asshole, the boy knew that G deserved to be the one to lay the beat down more than anyone. And on the off chance that this guy was more than just all talk, Elena would probably be more than sufficient enough. Kenshin jumping in alongside those two was probably overkill, but he would raise no objections if it turned out he was needed after all.
Nobody here is getting hurt or killed! I won't let you bastards have your way!

James was sitting in the Storm Knights Warehouse HQ, they'd been called in by G and they were gearing up for a battle . He looked outside at the pouring rain and smiled a little, he'd always liked the rain there was something about it that always soothed him and made him feel calm. As he was looking outside the window he noticed a group approaching the warehouse, and they didn't look like they were door to door salesmen. James picked up his mask and put it on, walking out of his room he noticed Kenshin exiting as well and followed close behind him. He exited just in time to hear the thug mention Hanako and Kai which made him stop dead in his tracks If he knows about Hanako and Kai, he might know about Haruuhi as well, and even if they don't if anything happened to Kai and Hanako it would kill Haruuhi, she's already been through way too much she couldn't bear to have anything happen to them, I WON'T let that happen to them or G for that matter James thought as he stepped forward, pulling out his Thunderball and charging it with his quirk, the ball now crackling with pitch black electrical energy, these guys weren't going away without a fight so if that's what they wanted, that's exactly what the Storm Knights would give them. He then noticed Elena step forward and lit up in flames and rushed toward the leader along with Goliath, swinging a baseball bat at the mans legs. "If any of you touch a hair on any of their heads, I swear to god I'll kill all of you," he snarled towards the group as he quickly stepped forward and savagely swung the thunder ball towards the skull of one of the thugs accompanying the Spanish man.

Post by Hanako Hajimari on May 25, 2020 14:19:42 GMT -4
They called again, not the bank but someone else and Hanako almost dropped her white phone. "Got it. No it's enough." She did not say thank you, nor goodbye for that matter. Her mind was absorbed with something else and she hurried upstairs. G had not left too long ago, she had no idea how fast they would be, but they had to be prepared, she had no idea what his intentions were but everything, everyone was necessary right. A simple text to someone else while she hurried upstairs and fixed everything she could. Her own hair braided, rolled up and pinned as close as she could to her scalp. That's when she put the expensive blonde wig over her head and made sure that the real looking hair was tied up in a high ponytail. She jumped up to change her clothing, fix her make-up and put on her fake glasses. Right, phone in that pocket. The medical kit strapped to her hips and on her left. The bow over her shoulder, the quiver as well and she took a deep breath and stared at her own reflection.
Basically her following thoughts were: the fuck who is that.
Hanako wasn't made for this, she was sure G would be distracted by her arrival and she did not want that. But she had to warn them, more were coming. This was not a fight they should work on and if they knew their identity, then screw that and let them have it, right? They had a war to win, a fight to plan out and that needed to be done tactically. She finally lifted up her little one and hurried down the stairs to the front door, she would get everything she needed when the knock was there already. She jumped up, not expecting someone so soon and she opened it, balancing Kai on her one arm and looking at the adult in front of her. "Please, I need you to take him home and just wait till we come back." If we come back, oh don't be so dramatic. But the mint-haired one nodded, wanted to ask questions but Hanako pushed Kai in her arms, gave her the baby bag and waved her off before quickly hurrying her to the car and thus the location that she knew about. After all, she had bought it.
She managed to avoid being seen or so she felt, surely she knew some vigilantes must have noticed her but she slipped inside and tried to make her glasses clean as the rain definitely had not helped with that. She blinked because before she could tell G anything, he had walked passed her and she turned to see what had happened and heard her name ring in her ears. O-oh too late. She looked around and hurried up the stairs to go sit on the first floor with the window, she slid it open a little bit to hear it better against the pitter patter of the rain. She fiddled but took her bow off without making much of a sound and nocked on a first arrow. G didn't need her help, no one needed her help here but she would not sit idle and do nothing. Her heart slowed down, it was as if nothing hit her when she heard the words that he swore never to make a kid an orphan. Would Nimue keep Kai in that case? She swallowed and let go of the first arrow, it was stupid, she only had nine and she missed. Hanako missed on purpose, she stared, ice blue eyes at the man and his goons. No one would touch her son. "And that was just a warning from our side." Seriously, shut up.

Deimos believed his offer was at least considerate. He had given them time to think it through. If this marble in the desert of Tokyo was worth their lives. It seems they’d made their decision much faster than anticipated. G, at first, didn’t react to his words. But his anger was obvious when he summoned his mighty guardian - a large water bug thing. Hideous. It sprinted across the yard in such a way his men couldn’t oppose. Not fast, but like a train coursing down a line, the sense of momentum was intimidating. It raised a carapaced fist and brought it directly into Deimos’ face. The Spaniard had enough time to block the blow, but the force was enough to push him several meters away, the pavement being tossed as his feet dug into the dirt beneath. A sudden flash of discomfort came from the injury. The notes had mentioned some kind of poison in the beast’s attacks. Deimos, however, simply flicked his arm and the pain disappeared. Then came a secondary assault. The Blue Blitz forced her way through the mist-like rain with intent in her eyes. His men watched her, unamused, unbothered. And Deimos had the time to stand to his full height by the time she’d slam a bat into the side of his knee. With a grunt Elena could hear, Deimos buckled slightly, coming eye level with the woman. The Spanish didn’t jar him, in fact, he responded in a very dark, very private voice, looking into Elena’s eyes as he did. “Que graciosa eres.” He grabbed her wrist in a vice grip, her fires curling around and between his meaty fingers. “Nadie sabrá cómo llamarte cuando termine.”
The men that made up Deimos’ line of intimidation watched the display from where they were, keeping steely expressions. As an arrow shattered on the ground in front of one with a bald head and big gut, he leapt in surprise. “Shit!” All twelve eyes behind their shades looked up to see Hanako. A man on the far left from her perspective, wearing a white hat, smirked with his extremely wide eyes. “The boss is busy. Let’s deal with the rest.” A grunt of agreement came from each of the other five - and with a sudden burst of speed, they each dashed to their objectives. Kenshin - Larva KingFrom the group, Kenshin was met with the man with very wide eyes and a white hat. Much taller than Kenshin, with relatively pale skin. The boy launched his readied assault, a flurry of practiced slashes with that odd energy blade thing. “Ouch! Fuck, that’s annoying!” Each attack, regardless of strength, was met with a pained yelp. “Can you stop!?” Suddenly, Kenshin’s assault was stopped by a heavy kick directly to the chest. It wouldn’t hurt much, but it managed to get the boy off him. “Alright, fucker - You messed with the wrong guy.” The man said, veins popping in his head as he started to tense the muscles in his body. “Lets see how you like this!” With a hideous smell and horrible squishing sound, dozens of tiny white maggots spouted from the man’s body and fired out onto Kenshin and his armour. The gross little insects latched tight to the red metal and to unprotected parts of his armour - even digging into the hems and cracks! “You’re dead now!” As the maggots started ejecting powerful acid from their mouths and chewing on Kenshin, making him feel both sluggish and numb in various places the acid leaked to his skin! Hanako - SupercellAfter firing her first arrow and speaking out against the villains besieging her home, she caught the eye of the large-gutted goon. As his colleagues went to work, he bounded straight toward the warehouse. Hanako would watch - or even fire arrows at him - as he ran with surprising speed for such an overweight man. Still, he would have to come into the warehouse to get to her, right? She was safe for now... The man jumped high, legs tight together when they suddenly started twisting around like a soft serve ice cream! They distorted and morphed until they became a blur of the same dark colour as his suit trousers - finally becoming a spiral of shaded wind. “Hooo!” The man yelled as he flew right at Hanako. “Your opponent is Supercell, lady! Let's GOOOOO!” Hanako had just enough time to dodge out of the way as the man came crashing through the window she was at! He let out a triumphant laugh, settling in the middle of the big room they were in. Now she had a better look, Hanako would see that everything beneath the man’s gut resembled a genie’s tail and was probably how he moved so fast - and why the wind in the room was getting ferocious. “There’ll be no more of those pesky arrows with me around!” Indeed. If Hanako tried to fire arrows while the wind was strong, they’d simply be pulled from the air! What would she do? James - RookAs for James, his opponent was surprised by his calculated first hit. At first, the man was going to attack Goliath, but when the sudden crackle of freezing cold lightning smashed into the side of his head and he went careening into the stone, James made his decision for him. With a pained groan, the blazing-red haired man with his chest bared similarly to Deimos jumped back onto his feet. He watched James closely. Was this kid really picking a fight with him? Whatever, that cold shit hurt. “Okay…” The man unsheathed a chrome stun baton, flicking to extend it. He circled James a bit, electricity crackling at the end of his weapon. “Shouldn’t you be in school?” The man asked, calm and collected. Regardless of James’ answer, the man would suddenly appear in front of him when he finished speaking with exceptional speed - a snap of lightning and sparks flying from the ends of his spiky hair betraying the use of a quirk. He smashed James’ nose with a powerful elbow strike to stun him and followed up by a brutal jab with the end of the baton into his ribs - the taser-like electricity running through the boy’s body. Rook kept a dark look in his eyes - a degree of professional above the others. G/Goliath - Multi PalThat left the last three of Deimos’ men. Each very similar looking… Uh… Identical even… And they were all women. Triplets maybe? All three converged on Goliath, pouncing at the mighty beast. “You’re going down, bug-dude!” they shouted in unison, in the exact same voice. One grabbed Goliaths’ left arm and struggled to drag it, managing to keep Goliath from getting closer to Deimos. Another step-jumped up his back and started punching the top of his head, with punches as fast as the rapid fire of a gun - yelping “Ow!” with each hit. The third had run over to a nearby shop, grabbed a flower pot, dirt and sunflower and all, and tossed it at Goliath’s torso with a devious grin. “We’re gonna dunk ya!” They all hollered. One even shouted “For Mars-neechan!”, to which they all cheered happily. Like a group of oblivious children, heading out to crusade. From G’s perspective, Goliath was merely being harassed by some… rather random women. If he looked closer, however, he would notice they were all staring at him regardless of where they were, just… staring. What could it mean? What were these women? Better yet, what would G himself do here, seeing all of this? Elena - DeimosAfter speaking to her, Deimos hoisted Elena high into the air by the wrist with very little effort. He let go of her and, as she started falling back, threw a spearing punch in her gut. It was like being met with a furious, charging rhino’s horn. Elena would go spiralling backwards in cartwheels and somersaults her body wasn’t built to do. All the air would leave her lungs, replaced by incredible pain. She could shake it off in a few seconds - it was mostly just the surprise. Deimos observed the fights occurring on the yard and sighed. “Very well, Gabriel. We’ll do this your way.” With that, his eyes returned to Elena. A terribly dark emotion laid behind them, locked away for now. His stance changed, from standing straight to almost leaning towards Elena, both hands tensed and prepared for whatever she had for him…
Tl;dr:- Larva King has afflicted Kenshin with the Weakness and Cripple afflictions! - Supercell is now in the same room as Hanako and her trusty arrows won’t work against such strong winds! - Goliath is being harassed by Multi Pal, making it very difficult to move away or attack anyone else. - James has encountered Rook, who is capable of bursts of violent speed and is very trained with his stun baton. James has been dealt D-rank damage! - Deimos’ counterattack has given him enough space to prepare for Elena’s attacks… Elena has been dealt C-rank damage!!
The fight begins!! It looks confusing for now, but don’t worry - your sections have all the important info for your characters. However, don’t think you cannot intervene in other battles! If you think you're better suited to a different enemy; or wish to try tag-teaming; or simply want to throw one attack to assist someone else, go right ahead!! Make sure to mention it in your tldrs, though! The posting order is now as follows: - Kelo

The thread is thus expected to end around July 11th. If there are questions, ask in the group chat or dm me! Goliaths attack was blocked by the Pluto guy. But still he was sent sliding back. Just as Elena spoke about about needing to be kept dry. Goliath raised his clawed arms and made it seemingly stop rain. While in actuality the rain was still going on. Just around them. Goliath controlled the water in his zone. That water which was the weapon for the real battle. Elena meanwhile attacked the head honcho. And soon the other Storm Knights would mobilize and attack. Kenshin was against a maggot guy. James got a solid hit on one guy. G saw some guy head to where Hana was. G needed to stop that fatso. But soon he saw... one two three. Three girls. They all pounced on Goliath who shook them off like the flies that they were. Although when G looked at them- They were bugging Goliath while also looking at him. Wha? Were they an illusion? This couldnt be normal. Granted with Striker, G can make this a 3v3. Is this why Pluto sent these girls at him? Drat. Back to Goliath he used the rain to his advantage and the water he manipulated he made it form a huge hand made of water. A construct. Which he would use to crush these three ladies. G meanwhile summoned Striker and sent him flying to help Hana. The Pluto guy facing Hana would surely be surprised by the sudden arrival of Striker who would go and slash at the man. And while that was going on, G overheard the spanish head honcho who called him Gabriel. G rolled his eyes. Now he was glad that Haruuhi did what she did. Back to poor ol Goliath. He wanted to end the ladies. So he made his claws glow purple so he could poison them in his next attack

The hit landed! Yes! Elena's facial features were obscured by, well, the fire, but she grinned wider as the apparently "scary boss" man still bent over when his knee got hit with a bat. Big bad evil guys always looked so untouchable. Not this guy. His return to her taunt in Spanish made her start to scoff. Then his hand wrapped around her wrist like it wasn't made entirely of flames. Her eyes widened. Oh. That's not good.
Before she could even try to pull away, or try to slam the bat into his arm instead, she was lifted up into the air and left dangling. And she wasn't exactly a short woman. Elena swung the bat again to try and hit his jaw or clip his ribs, but whether or not her hits landed, he tossed her up like a ball and with just as much ease landed a punch to her stomach. Elena heard something in there make a sharp, angry sound, and it wasn't the sound of flames crackling. Something had cracked though. Her lungs felt like they were on fire--well, a figurative fire, not the literal fire that was her internal organs right now. And then she was half-way across the yard.
Huh. When did she get here.
Todavía me estoy moviendo? Creo que me detuve.
No puedo sentir la parte de atrás de mi cabeza.
Elena's hands both found the earth beneath her, but only one had the ability to push herself up to her own feet. Her ribs did not like that, and there was absolutely something wrong with her head. She could only spare a glance backward. Huh. That was a big charred dip in the earth. At least it was against the dirt, not the concrete.
"Okay, so you punch hard," she grunted, shaking her arms at her side. She could feel the pain subsiding, her fire consuming the cracks and aches and bruises and taking them over, refreshing the flames and her body alike. It wasn't going to heal her fast but it would be more than enough for just a little busted rib and a goose-egg on her skull. And the big guy was still staring her down. So she'd gotten his attention. Great. Okay. So charging him again would probably get her punted again. She could try to latch onto him, but she wasn't that mobile like this. She had to lose the bat.
It was times like this that she wished she could hold things when she was on fire. Oh well. It could at least do something before she discarded it. Elena ducked down and tossed it like a boomerang at Deimos' ugly face. Her aim wasn't great, but he might need to duck or side-step it all the same. That's what she was hoping for at least.
With the bat gone, fire consumed her other hand, and Elena charged forward again, but just a meter away she leaped up into the air. She went higher than a human should physically be able to do, but when made of flame her body nearly weightless. Mid-air she turned herself to attempt to land onto Deimos' back, to latch her legs around his waist and grip his face in her hands, encompassing his whole body in fire. Maybe she should have felt bad about her methods being so brutal, but her Quirk left very little in the way of "gentle" fighting. She was fire, and fire could only burn.

Alright, these assholes asked for it! Kenshin was not going to go easy on these chumps. If they're going to cause trouble, then they had better not start bitching when they get their asses handed to them. So when the boy's sword attacks were seemingly causing the thug to start whining, Kenshin simply didn't care. He would just continue to swing away for as long as he could. Perhaps in a different situation, the boy might have had some witty banter to go along with the fighting. Not this time, however. This was a serious situation. Plus, Kenshin did not feel the need to waste words on scum like the Plutocracy.
Regardless of whether the thug's shrieks of pain were genuine or fakes, he managed to push Kenshin back with a kick to the chest. At least that didn't hit my emblem. That would have sucked. But now was not the time to worry about what-ifs. It was time to worry about attacks that were actually happening right now. Though Kenshin was unsure of whether the thug was simply being cocky or if the guy actually could back up that talk, the boy would be careful regardless. Knowledge was power, so it stands to reason that lack of knowledge was weakness. Without knowing what this guy could do, the only wise thing Kenshin could do was observe, be cautious, and be ready for anything.
And then, the thug began his attack. Sprouting from his body were what appeared to be dozens of maggots. "Ugh!" Despite doing his best to quickly slice them away, it was no use. The maggots were already getting all over Kenshin's body. He felt sluggish and numb all over. The boy grit his teeth in pain. "Gaah!!" He could feel those maggots eating away at him, feel all those disgusting creatures and the acid they produced. Despite doing his best to ignore the pain, it was still quite painful.
S-shit! Don't lose focus! Don't let my resolve weaken! Don't let my blade waver! I need to find a way... To destroy these maggots and attack the source! Come on, think!
And then it hit him. If the boy's quirk was instead a light bulb hanging over his head, it would be glowing right now. I got it! It's risky as hell... But it should work. And he's close enough to me. Okay... Time to kill two birds with one stone. Rather than a light bulb, it was the boy's sword that began to glow. The red blade of hard light began to shine a brighter shade of red as Kenshin began to focus his energy and send whatever he could spare to his blade.
It was just like any other time the boy readied the use of his sword beam. However, Kenshin was not preparing to use the Scarlet Saber Slash this time. No, he had a different technique in mind. Though the red crescent-shaped sword beam was Kenshin's usual go to for ranged attacks, it was not his only one. He had another ranged attack in mind. One that would prove to be a double-edged sword (pun not intended this time). Due to the nature of the attack, Kenshin would end up getting hurt by his own attack. But in return, he should be able to attack both the maggots and the thug who spawned those atrocities. At least, that's the theory.
But now it was time to put that theory into practice. So once enough energy was sent to the blade, Kenshin began his attack.
"Saber..."
The boy raised his sword hand, pointed it downward...
"Shockwave..."
...and with all his might, stabbed the ground and released all the stored energy at once.
"STRIKE!"
The result was an explosive burst of energy. The moment the blade pierced the ground, a shock wave of red energy in the shape of a hemisphere moved out in all directions in a ten meter radius like a miniature bomb, damaging anything within its range until the energy dissipated. If all went according to plan, then Kenshin's attack would have damaged not just himself, but all of the maggots on his body, as well as the thug within range.
Though the explosive burst of energy was strong, one thing to note was that it was not Kenshin's full power. The maggots made him feel weakened, so his attack did not have nearly as much power behind it as it could have. On the bright side, it was his power that was weakened, not his armor. So despite hurting himself, Kenshin's armor was able to keep the damage relatively light. Of course, the unarmored parts of his body was not as fortunate.
Damn, it hurts! I really am recklessly crazy. That was either a really genius move, or really dumb on my part. Just goes to show that my resolve is unwavering, even if it means having to hurt myself to strike down my foes.
But of course, the question was whether the weakened attack was enough to destroy those maggots covering his body. And more importantly, if the thug was able to withstand that attack. It would be great if the Saber Shockwave Strike was enough to take them all down, but Kenshin had a feeling that things would not be that easy. Even if it was and the maggot guy and all his disgusting maggots were taken down, there were still other thugs whose asses needed to be kicked. The boy could not afford to fall here. He needed to be prepared for absolutely anything.

As James swung his thunderball at the thugs head he could feel a satisfying smash that told him he'd hit him dead on and he felt good when he saw him hurtle into the ground, though he got back up faster than James would've hoped Guess this bastards gonna be tougher than I thought James thought to himself as he saw Rook flick out the stun baton "Nah I'm too good for school, I reckon I'll be able to teach you a couple things though," James said but as soon as he did Rook appeared in front of him out of nowhere and he felt a crack on his nose as Rook's elbow crashed into it, and as if that wasn't bad enough he followed it up with a jab of the stun baton. James collapsed onto his knees as he felt the electricity crackle through him, making him spasm for a moment before he stayed down on one knee and took a breath Ahh fuck it's gonna be one of those days James thought as he stood back up on his feet Surely he can't keep that speed up for long, I've gotta find the right time for an opening James thought as he wiped the blood trickling down from his nose and wrapped his thunderball around his wrist "That's cute, you've got a toy that gives off electricity," James said as both his hands started crackling with his black lightning and he looked up at Rook, James could see the dark look in Rook's eyes, and if he looked into James' he'd see the intense determination in them "Good thing I don't need one of those," James said as he rushed Rook, aiming a flurry of punches towards him, all charged up with his black lightning, regardless if any of them hit, and provided Rook was still within close combat Range, James would attempt a leg sweep to try and catch him off guard

You know when you have so much adrenaline pumping through your veins that your brain gives two different tasks: shut up and kill them. The fact that they threatened her life was nothing, the fact they threatened her son and making him an orphan, that was what hurt her. No one would do so, no one would ruin Kai's life. She knew that coming here was stupid, she knew that she shouldn't have even if she wanted to warn them that more people were coming. But now it was too late, she couldn't go away and she would have to do what she could; which meant to just sit and hide and not pull the attention to her. But she lost the arrow, it left the nook and hit exactly where her intention was and saying that this was not a miss but a warning. That did mean that people knew where she was and that someone was coming after her. She would try to shoot but obviously missed because he was faster than she had expected, well there was one way that she had in mind. It was going to be a dangerous plan and she beckoned away a little to the stairs but she had an arrow on her bow brace and was ready. Elbow low, the string not yet pulled too far, she was ready, the person would have to jump up. She was sure he could because of his speed, that it was to gain momentum and get up, right? So she would have to handle fast but not lose her focus, because than both parts will go wrong.
Hanako was a clumsy woman, she knew that but she had done better in the last two years and less scratches and bruises, but they were obviously still there. She noticed the man in front of the window, was he hovering? What was he doing? When he introduced himself, she let go of the arrow and turned her body to hurry down the stairs. She could have run down to the other side but being on the same level was a bad idea. Shit, she felt the wind pull her hair and clothing. The clattering of her arrows in the quiver made it all too obvious. She became even more useless than before. This tightened a feeling around her heart and made her paler than before. Hanako was worried, running as fast as her legs could carry her, stumbling over the last step of the stairs because madame Hajimari was clumsy as fuck. But she would also have the struggle of walking albeit trying to run in this situation.
She reached a little towards the end of the room before turning around as she heard him and noticed Striker, okay well it was something but now she was straining on G and she needed to do something. Quick, she had to think, look at things around her, how bad would it be if she brought down a beam from the upper floor on this guy and then the question was; would he fall for that as well?

Elena - DeimosDeimos stared hard at Elena as she slowly got back up to her feet - too far away to hear her muttering. He looked around when, suddenly, the rain ceased around them. Seeing Goliath bothered by his colleague and the dome of empty, harsh-smelling air they all now stood in. With a tut, Deimos returned his attention to the latina, just in time to see her bat spinning towards him. Reflexes allowed him to brace and protect his face, the bat delivering a hard hit to his shoulder before bouncing off and clattering loudly to the ground. “Mierda.”Preparing for a follow-up, Deimos adopted his stance again, but Elena surprised him once again by pouncing for him like a savannah cat instead of striking him. First she leapt high in the air, the light colour of the sky making it near impossible to see her with his glasses on. His sluggish movements couldn’t keep up as she landed on his back and began constricting him in her flaming limbs. Grunts made way for yells of pain, the flames burning through his coat and - as she grabbed his face, burning parts of that too. The sunglasses melted right off as he furiously writhed beneath her, his arms seized to his side. “Damn you, woman!” He cursed, anxiety in his solid voice. But Deimos would not be so simply defeated, by flames of all things. As his coat burned away, Elena would be witness to a tapestry of tattoos that have been interrupted and blotted with dozens of isolated burn scars. As if someone took a soldering iron to his flesh and struck away the tattoos they didn’t like. Deimos managed to shift enough to force Elena to clutch onto his side and then used his strength to drag her to his front. She was still tightly clutching, still burning him, still dealing damage. But his massive hand wriggled up her body, pushing through the resistance she put up - his fingers found purchase in her wild hair, tangling and gripping enough to have control of her head. “Mejor suerte la próxima vez, chica.” He dragged Elena’s head backwards, doing the same for himself before bringing them together in a crushing headbutt. Part one of his attack. He held her forehead to his, as if embracing her, staring deep into her eyes. And the moment she met his ebony eyes with hers, her entire world would change. Kenshin - Larva KingThe maggoty man stood back after a few punches and laughed at Kenshin being devoured by his pet-swarm. “Go on, guys! Eat up! Devour all that stupid armour! Uwahaha!” His laughter, obnoxious in its volume, echoed through the streets. “Go on! Keep struggling! Hey, you got any relatives, kid? Whaddya say I go visit them after we’re done here? Uwaha- Huh?” Larva King’s fun was interrupted when he finally noticed what Kenshin was doing. The wave of energy that exploded from Kenshin violently tore every maggot on his body asunder. A high-pitched yelp sounded from Larva King as the blast scorched his hands when he tried to brace himself. He jumped up and down, shaking and patting himself down like he was on fire. “Ouch, ouch, ouch, what the fuuuck!?” His face, twisted in fury, turned on Kenshin as the rain stopped falling around them. “I’ll kill you even harder for that!” The man grabbed his white hat and tossed it off, revealing a bald patch doming his head. He started tensing again, the bubbles of maggots being summoned to the top of his skin - This was Kenshin’s chance, who knows how many maggots he’d shoot out this time!! Hanako - SupercellSupercell guffawed, looking up at the ceiling, when Hanako’s arrow was met by his wall of wind, splintering in mid air. “Is that all you-” When he looked back, Hanako was gone. Supercell was kind of expecting a fight. An honourable battle. Some kind of scuffle at least. Some fun! But no, Hanako had run off and now he had to give chase. As Hanako ran down the stairs, she’d hear Supercell crashing straight through the wall to the top of the landing and roaring toward her. “Stop right there!” The howl of wind blowing made it hard to hear anything else - especially as the villain struggled down the stairs after her. He snatched at her, but Hanako was saved by stumbling at the last step and getting into a different room. With a yell of frustration, Supercell burst into the same room, what looks to be some kind of lounge. “Now I’ve got you!” He guffawed again. Supercell was about to lance himself at Hanako, but was interrupted by a flash of green and sudden pain in his gut. Bouncing away, he glowered at Striker, who arrived to protect Hanako. “Oh, come on!!” Supercell summoned a gust of wind in order to shove Hanako against a nearby wall while Striker kept going at him with swipes and cuts, he couldn’t afford Hanako taking advantage of him being distracted!! Things around the room started getting blown off tables and shelves, papers fluttering loudly about. He clashed with Striker, trading blows and trying to keep from getting cut. James - RookFeeling his strikes deal some good damage, Rook took a step back from James as the boy went to his knee. “You get it yet, kid? You’re out of your league here. We ain't here to play cops and robbers - this is a takeover. So, why don’t you just run on home?” The red-haired criminal stated as James got back up. He watched the coils of dark lightning, and the way the air almost cooled in their presence, with utter disdain. “Don’t say I didn’t give you a chance.” The attacks were simple to predict, but Rook had trouble regaining control as James’ flurry started pushing him. The boy managed to clip Rook’s hip with one blow, the rest were parried with the baton. Wincing, feeling the sudden numbness - like a nasty stitch, Rook opened the space between them by dashing back with his quirk just as James attempted to sweep his legs. The shining, momentary flash and the smell of burning air returned and disappeared just as quickly and Rook was now some 10 meters away from James. For some reason, the rain stopped falling, but it didn’t bother him. Then again, Rook dashed a bit to his right, then one more time straight toward James. He ended up on James’ left, using the momentum of his speed to fuel a powerful roundhouse kick into the boy’s spine. No electricity came from his hit, just some great force. “You’re gonna need more than a few fancy punches to beat me, kid. Pick up the pace already.” Rook taunted, his baton suddenly crackling - it had recharged and was ready to shock him again. G/Goliath - Multi PalGoliath did well with swatting the women away, though no matter how hard he threw them, they would just get right back up and continue beating on the bug - continuing to stare right at his master. When Goliath halted the rain, one of the women took the time to wring out her hair, before being kicked in the shin by another of her. They argued amongst themselves for a moment before returning to kicking and slapping the carapace. They didn’t seem to notice the giant hand that Goliath created until the moment all but one of them were crushed under its wet palm. Those crushed stopped moving, smashed into the ground, while the last of the Multi Pals gasped and covered her mouth in horror. “You killed my sisters!” she screeched, glaring right at G, before her expression turned jovial and she began to giggle - as did the bodies in the hand-shaped dent. Each one stood back up, unblemished from the attack. “Jokes!”Every one of the women pounced on Goliath again, two of them going flying from his poisoned fists but getting right back up. It seems his attacks had no effect? All six of the women cooperated in dragging Goliath to one knee, three to each arm. Then they turned their heads to Deimos, and called out. “Now!”
With Elena now limp in his grip, Deimos tossed her aside, past the barrier dome and into the rain. He had no more interest in her as Multi Pal called to him. The plan to deal with the beast was simple. Restrain it. Then break it. Deimos began running toward Goliath, covering the distance with a few powerful strides, launching a devastating punch to the front of the bug's face. One that stunned the beast, leaving him slumped before Deimos. At that cue, Multi Pal let go of Goliath and went sprinting - all six of them - right at G. Let the big guys fight off. The ladies could handle G. Deimos’ assault on Goliath was a collection of debilitating punches to his face. His hard shell took the burnt of the damage, but even his mighty defense was faltering under Deimos’ roaring attacks. Cracks appeared in Goliath’s shell; meanwhile, Multi Pal were approaching G with devilish grins, grabbing random things from the street - traffic cones, rocks, Elena’s discarded bat and all of them went at him. “You’re screwed now, chucklefuck!”Deimos grabbed one of Goliath’s mandibles and twisted, wrenching it right from the creature’s face before backing off. That’d wake the thing back up at the very least. Now he could handle its rage-fuelled assault. Wearing it down was all he needed to do to put the nail in the Storm Knight’s coffin.
Tl;dr:- Elena’s attacks are successful in dealing significant damage to Deimos, however he has utilised his quirk against her! - The maggots are destroyed by Kenshin’s attack! Larva King, enraged, prepares for another salvo of maggots. - Supercell struggles to chase Hanako and is now being distracted by Striker, but he manages to toss Hanako into a wall using the wind created by his quirk! - Rook is clipped by James’ quirk and counterattacks by using his own quirk in rapid succession to get behind him and kick him down. Stun baton recharges! - Multi Pal, unaffected by Goliath’s blunt-force attacks, manage to restrain him long enough for Deimos to stun Goliath and deliver a devastating beat down. Goliath takes B-rank Damage!! - Multi Pal sprint towards G with improvised weapons, intending to overwhelm the summoner!

He swatted them over and over, but eventually he decided to smush the women with a hand of water. Soon one of the girls that wasnt smooshed would exclaim how they killed the others. G and Goliath didnt buy their talk and soon she giggled and said she was just joking. G rolled his eyes.
But soon, the gals pounced on the isopod. The summon would try and shake them off and strike them with its glowing claw, hoping to poison them. But G was surprised as he watched that Goliaths attack had no effect on them. Soon the girls wanted to drag Goliath. The summon and the summoner too occupied by the girls to realize what was going on. They were cue-ing somebody.
G looked and saw Deimos himself throwing away a limp Elena. The first thing G thought was like "Oh shit she's dead" he then saw that Deimos was charging at Goliath. G knew that if Goliath gets too injured or poofed he'll be helpless since Striker is already out there summoned and taken. So he went to the warehouse, specifically a window that he punched and soon grabbed a glass shard that he used as a makeshift weapon. His hand wounded and bleeding. But he did not focus on that. There were far worse matters at hand.
Back to Goliath, Deimos managed to punch the summon in the face. And Multi Pal let go of the summon and all 6 went to G. Goliath received severeal strong attacks, some which broke his concentration and made him stop controlling the water, thus causing rain to suddenly fall again. Meanwhile G watched the ladies approach him as they took severeal random items. One including Elena's bat. Which he didnt see in hindsight. The gals spoke how he was screwed. G just told them "Come at me bitches!" G was determined to drive a glass shard through the first ones throat. What was the point of being all chill if Elena was dead. Well... at least she doesnt get to judge him "Sorry Elena" he thought to himself. Back to Goliath who was in absolite pain controlled the water and formed a sword in his large claw. He quickly went to stab Deimos in the stomach with the watery blade
But while G and Goliath had their own battles There was Striker. Who had clashed with Supercell. The foe was incredibly strong, but for Hanako, he'd endure everything and anything just to protect her and help her find someone strong to be by her.

- i'm the only fire that can live through the rain -
Her arms wrapped around his head like she was trying to smother him, her legs wrapped around his torso like some fucked up sort of hug, Elena could hear and smell and feel parts of him melting and charring. Bits of hair, his coat, the plastic of his sunglasses--hah! That was going to hurt if it melted into his face. Elena wasn’t cruel but she could feel some cathartic joy in messing up some prick’s overly expensive sunglasses. And she assumed just from his clothes and his shit attitude that they were. As more of his clothes charred away, though, she saw the familiar signs of burns around his body, but not ones she was currently causing. They were old in a way she’d never seen on her own skin. She always healed perfectly. This wasn’t the first time he’d been badly burned. Oh. That sucked for him.
She didn’t have more of an opportunity to think on the matter. His hands were grasping at her, trying to find a place to grab, but her gear was too tight to grab and everywhere on her body was aflame. He’d need to reach higher. Alas, her height was not to her advantage against him.
Elena hissed in pain as he managed to grab through the fire to her hair and tugged her whole head backwards, neck bending at an angle that wouldn’t break anything, but was almost choking her with how tight her throat suddenly became against itself. She tried to repay the favor and tangle into his shaggy hair. She managed only a little before he slammed her head into his own. Elena’s eyes clenched shut in pain. What the fuck was this guy thinking, though?
He just slammed a literal ball of fire into his own face. With a little room she could have bitten the bastard’s nose and charred it from inside. She opened her eyes to try and see if she had the right angle for--
{Trigger Warning: Implied Sexual Assault. Skip to the next set of lines to avoid it.} She was sitting on one of the faux leather couches of the Rōzureddo Hostess Club, in the heart of Kabukicho. It was quiet tonight, but she could see that there were still plenty of customers. She was just having a harder time hearing them, for some reason. Elena looked down. Her vigilante gear was replaced with an outfit she hadn’t worn in more than a year, because it had been burned to charcoal; low-cut white blouse, short red skirt and matching pumps, black stockings...she brought her hand to her mouth and came back with a red smear.
This wasn’t right. She’d left this place. She’d been trapped there for years because she’d had no papers, because she’d been under-age, but she had escaped it last fall. She’d been “freed”. Why was she back here? Was it a memory? What had she been...
A voice she’d forgotten followed very shortly after a hand found her arm.
“You fucking foreign bitch.” Elena turned her head and found something standing behind her. It looked like a human, but something was wrong with it. Details were mixed up. Forgotten, rather, to the point that her dreams were trying to compensate with what she did remember. The unusually egg-shaped head of a sleazy, horrible gangster, with a smile too perfect to not be bought somewhere, and eyes-- Eye. He had a single eye that cracked through his skin, revealing red flesh beneath it. Right. Right, she remembered. This bastard. Chum. He’d creeped around the club like he owned the place, grabbing girls despite it being against the rules, but never being called out on it. He’d gotten her once or twice. She loathed him. He was scum. But she’d handled him. She and another vigilante--Asura--had fought him and burned and torn him up until he could barely move. He’d never be able to harass another woman--or anyone--so long as he lived, after they’d been done with him. But here he was. And his hand was clasped so hard on her that it hurt. She tried to talk and no words came out. She tried to pull away from his grip but she wasn’t strong enough. She was stronger than him, though. She’d been able to-- No me puedo mover.
No me puedo mover. His hand moved to grab her wrists instead and tugged her towards him, and still she couldn’t get her muscles to listen. She wound up pressed against his chest, his disgusting breath against her throat, thick with the smell of alcohol and cigar smoke. His hands went down from her wrists and up her bare arms to her shoulders, earning a full-body shudder. She had to burn. Burn, now, while he was wrapped around her like this. She didn’t care if she was in public. His hands were moving again, and she could feel them on the small of her back, in the space between the hem of her blouse and the top of her skirt. No no no no NO, alejado de mí, quítate de encima!!
No puedo quemar, por qué mi fuego no...?!
No me toques!!“I’ll be sure to leave my mark. Make sure people know you fucked with the wrong people.” She tried to squeeze her eyes shut but somehow she could still see through them. It was a nightmare. She knew she was in a nightmare. But she couldn’t make it stop, couldn’t make it go dark. Like watching it in the third person, yet somehow still feeling his hands like she was in her body. "And then I'll make sure you get passed around by the gang, and used for all you're worth!" Ayuadame!!
AYUDAME!!!
Elena was unable to move when she woke up. She felt her muscles convulsing, her skin feeling cold. She wasn’t sure where she was or how she was oriented. On her side, on the ground? Or propped up against a wall? She was looking forward and unable to move anything but her eyes. Even those, though, were staring straight ahead. She wanted to move. Her body was too spread out right now. She wanted to curl herself into as tight a ball as possible and...and...
...a vision. It had just been a vision. A nightmare. It had to be. That had never happened. She and Asura had beaten that man. They’d won. The worst it had cost her was a few fingers and even those grew back. But it had been too real. She’d had nightmares of that sort before but never so...
Her stomach decided then to prove that she could still move--her body suddenly lurched without her control to spill up onto the concrete below her. It didn’t help her to gather her thoughts, but she could still move. She hadn’t had anything important broken--it would have healed if she had. It was something else.
Oh. Concrete. She was by the road.
The rain was falling on her.
Nothing felt real right now. Elena could reason things, but wasn’t processing them. What if this was still part of that vision? How long had she been in there? It felt like...forever. Her body wasn’t hurt at least. It was just the rain. Water did that to her--it stunned her, if she was hit with it in her fully burning form. But this time felt worse. She felt paralyzed, like what she’d seen was still weighing her body down, still holding her down. She could hardly breathe right, or see, or hear. Or maybe she could, but her brain didn't want to do any of those things. She was too afraid to. wC: 1380, @whoever else is here, she's not fine
