It was another Saturday, meaning that Luna was gearing up to go for another quick run throughout Musutafu. This was always the highlight of her weekends, since throughout the school week she felt quite cooped up in classes and studying in her room after the school day had ended. She didn't hate the repetitive lifestyle, but it meant she needed to treasure these moments of personal freedom.
With her casual jogging clothes put on, Luna walked off into Musutafu to begin her routine. The first thing she did, of course, was head to a store to pick up the proper nutrients she would need on her run. Grabbing both a sports-drink and a water, as well as a small energy bar with some of the cash she brought along with her.
Luna's jogging preparations were finished, and she was now right in the middle of the shopping district. It was fairly crowded since it was Saturday, but that didn't stop the dog-quirker from finding a relatively open part of the sidewalk to begin her casual jogging routine. She wasn't allowed to use the extent of her Quirk in public of course, so she always paced herself with average human running speeds. Despite this, there was nothing she could do about her ears and tail, as they were mutations.
After about half an hour of light jogging, Luna took a break leaning up against a nearby wall to drink some water and take a bite out of her energy bar. Of course she intended to go on for longer after this, but for now she was just relaxing and was open to being approached.

Well this was... not how she wanted her day to go. She was still establishing connections in Japan. Figuring out who she could trust to fence her stuff and who she knew she could con into giving her money for things that didn't have the value she stated. of course with her skills in forgery being only so good, there were bound to be a few slip ups here and there. Idiots she thought she could trick secretly having an expert on tap who could tell her counterfeit bills were fakes or that her art forgeries were... well, just that. There were only so many lost art masterpieces you could try to fake afterall, and it was kinda hard to keep track of which ones had actually been found already. So, here she was, rushing out of a meeting with a lesser branch of the Yakuza she'd tried to con out of... oh. A million Yen? Yeah sounded about right. She was suddenly glad she'd taken a few parkour lessons back in France, hoisting herself over a few back alley fences and rushing up the length of a few fire escapes to get over some hurdles. She just needed to break line of site for a bit aaaaand-! Okay! Now! A hand lifting to her head, Marceline, already in one of her disguises given she didn't know if she could trust this new contact yet (clearly she couldn't), generated the halo that made up her quirk above her head, dragging it down her form. Tendrels of electrical, white light jolted from the halo to her body, her hair taking a sharper style, dyed a white-silvery shade, with two fake feline ears popping out between the strands, and her outfit replaced. Going from a fancy dress she'd worn for the meeting to something a little more sporty to help if she still needed to run. She could hear them coming around the corner afterall... (New form) Stepping out into the main street, she looked for somewhere to hide. Now of course the people chasing her didn't even know she had a quirk, but if she kept running or looked like she was hiding, in this world of quirkers they could make some pretty easy assumptions. The best way to hide was to look like she wasn't even hiding so... Oh. That worked. Jogging up along the path before her pursuers broke out onto the main streat, Marceline slid up beside a young girl with a similar quirk to the one she was imitating. She seemed to be taking a break from a jog so if Marcie slid up beside her the fact she was out of breath too wouldn't look out of place. She took a sharp breath so she didn't seem completely winded, the sporty outfit she'd chosen for her disguise not making it seem too out of place as she let the lies start to pour from her lips. "Hey. Sorry I've been on the same jogging route as you for a while... mind if I take my break with you?~ Always find it's easier to stay motivated for this kind of exercise with some company...~"

The sensitive ears placed atop Luna's head would twitch at the sound of jogging feet approaching her. It was nothing to really draw her attention away from taking a nice long drink out of her water, though. That was, at least, until the sounds of jogging stopped right next to her as another person came right next to Luna to lean against the same wall. This gave the dog-girl a proper enough reason to pause her drinking to acknowledge the person who was there now with a soft "Hmmm?"
Looking the woman up and down for a moment, it wasn't hard to notice that she was a Quirker. Normally it took an activation to tell if someone was one buuuut there was something obvious about this woman that she and Luna had in common. Luna cocked her head to the side for a moment, idly looking at the woman's ears admiring the fact that she was a kitty! Luna didn't have any genetic disposition to them or anything, so this was instead just really cute to look at.
After giving the woman a moment to talk, Luna let out a happy little chuckle before nodding her head happily. "Sure!~" she beamed at the older woman for a moment, her tail swishing back and forth excitedly as she seemingly found a friend on this spur of a moment. Well, maybe a friend was a huge unnecessary jump but the woman sounded quite nice!
With her head in the clouds for a moment, Luna almost forgot to continue the chatting, causing her to look to the woman once again. "I'm the same way honestly, I love doing this sort of stuff with people. Buuuut I haven't found a friend to join me just yet." the girl would giggle despite that actually being a sort of sad thing. But her extreme energy and upbeat personality meant she was still pretty happy and excited despite having no one to go for jogs with.
After a few moments of silence, Luna grinned again as she pointed at her ears. "Mine is a dog mutation. Yours is a cat I presume?" Luna went on to inquire about the woman's quirk a bit, being quite interested in it. A lot of people seemed to have animal-based quirks in her school but that didn't mean she wasn't curious about the random people she met either. She was also about to bring up her name with all of her hyperactive energy but... pulled back a moment later as she realized this woman was still a stranger. She probably shouldn't go around telling people her name or anything on a whim even if this lady seemed quite nice!
As such, Luna sat back against the wall to take another swig out of her water just to take a breather and give the woman another chance to talk.

Ever good at reading people, Marceline felt an odd sense of relief watching the girl’s eyes drift to her ears with a seemingly positive respoinse. Oof. Nice. Really this was just one of her more common disguises but it definitely helped that she had it on tap now as it meant she could swiftly form even the smallest sense of comradery with this woman who was going to, effectively, be her ‘criminal beard’ for a brief moment and lend legitimacy to her disguise. Marcie couldn’t really linger for long, buuuut… she trusted her disguise enough to not be immediately spotted if the yakuza branch came barrelling about the corner…
She seemed happy enough to let her join her on her jog though, and while Marceline had thought she’d come off extremely awkward it seemed she’d managed to get a passing grade and sold the charade. Good enough for her. “Oh thank you!~” She chimed, making sure to keep up the act. “Definitely always better to keep yourself motivated with company, no?~” Marceline’s own disguise only came with the ears so she had no tail to swish, but she’d definitely be wiggling it ecstatically if she did.
“Oh well isn’t that a shame…” She let out as she heard that the girl had been looking for a jogging buddy but had yet to find one, pouting a little in turn. “Well, I suppose for now at least you can consider me a friend.” She offered her hand across. “Purr-easure to meet you.~” She teasingly began, rolling her rs and all as she introduced her alias. “The name’s Cat. As you can tell my parents weren’t all that creative.” She teased with a delighted smirk, giggling a little behind her slightly fanged grin, hoping to keep the girl in a good mood with some light humor.
‘Pretending’ to limber up once they shook hands, she’d raise up one of her ankles behind her. If her ears actually worked they’d have likely twitched as she heard the sound of her pursuers starting to catch up, a group of young men in fluorescent, silky shirts bursting out of an alleyway down the street, all looking around confused, likely searching for a hint of green in the crowd, but Marcie tried very hard to resist the urge to look back and draw attention to herself.
“Oh well… sort of.” She brushed some of her silvery hair back, revealing her human ears that were still present. “The feline ears and the eyes are er… just cosmetic. Don’t get me wrong, they’re absolutely a quirk, but they’re not… ‘real’? It’s like when you see like, a person born with a third nipple or an extra finger. They’re just appendages and little ‘lookie’ things. Sadly they don’t work…” She scratched at her cheek. Someday she might figure out a way to make them ‘work’ so her disguise could be better. But for now she ran with the idea that they were just a cosmetic quirk. “Still, I think they’re cute personally.~” She stuck out her tongue playfully as she held her hands behind her back…. But the temptation grew enough that she briefly glanced over her shoulder, spotting the frustrated group heading their way.
“H-hey I know your having a break but would you mind if we got moving? I’ve been having trouble with my legs getting super lethargic if I don’t keep up my momentum…” Marcie was mostly talking out of her ass. She stayed fit and she was far from out of shape, but the idea of her doing cardio on a regular basis? Heh. Running from these goons was the most she’d done all week…

As soon as the woman said that Luna could consider her a friend, the dog-girl perked right up again with an excited smile on her face. She also couldn't help but giggle as the woman teased with her introduction and said her name. It was fairly fitting, but was still nice and rolled well off the tongue. "Pleasure to meet you too, Ms.Cat~" Luna trailed on for a moment, sinking back into thought as she shook Cat's hand. She didn't know if she was married or not, but she looked quite youthful and was jogging alone, so Luna just assumed she was unattended. Further, while she probably shouldn't mention Yuuei or her full name... a simple first-name basis was probably fine enough. "You can call me Luna~" the girl let out a happy sound to express her joy as they were now officially introduced.
The dog-girl titled her head to look down the street a bit, the sights and sounds of people moving about in a rush catching her attention now that she was no longer focusing on her drink. Their outfits were quite unfit for running. "Wonder what that's all about." Luna would comment before rolling her shoulders and taking another sip of her water.
Luna's attention was caught once again by Cat as she brought attention to her normal human ears, while the ones on top of her head were simply cosmetic, but still a quirk. But Cat still considered them cute, causing Luna to giggle a bit with her tail swishing back and forth a bit faster. "Well I think they have a lot of appeal too, even if they are just cosmetic!" she beamed with a flashy grin once more as she felt like she really was having a casual conversation with a friend all of a sudden. Perhaps this lady was just naturally social like she was which meant they could talk a lot about stuff.
With another swig of her water, Luna listened to what Cat had to say, nodding as she capped the water and stowed it away. "Ah, I understand completely! I actually was planning to head out pretty soon before you showed up, so I delayed a tad so I could talk with you~" the dog-girl gave another grin, her tail flicking around excitedly as she moved back towards the edge of the sidewalk so they would be away from most of the crowded traffic.
"Let's go!~" after taking just a moment to stretch her body again, Luna took off at a relatively controlled pace making sure they weren't just going from zero to one-hundred right off the bat.
With their pace set in, Luna made a quick attempt to glance over her shoulder to make sure Cat wasn't being left behind. With that ensured, Luna went on with the casual chatting of the conversation, being none the wiser of the group of individuals who were heading their way. "So, what got you into jogging anyways, Ms.Cat?" she asked out of curiosity, as it seemed everyone had their own desires when getting into a hobby like this.

“OOoo. Ms Cat. Surprisingly that’s new~ Don’t entirely mind it either.~” She chimed back, not exactly someone who hated formalities, needed or unneeded. She most certainly didn’t mind when she was referred to as ‘miss labelle’ in more formal gatherings buuuut she would at least let out. “Never Ma’am though. I hope I don’t seem that old yet.~” She stuck her tongue out between her fangs in a playful expression, trying to suppress the nerves she felt of knowing her pursuers weren’t far behind her, and holding back that urge to keep glancing over her shoulder. Thankfully any nervous sweating was hidden under her full body disguise… “Luna, dunno why but… seems fitting.~”
She tried not to glance back again when Luna noticed the Yakuza men that had been chasing her, but managed to slip her gaze just very briefly back to at least acknowledge it. “O-oh I’m sure they’re just running late for something…”
“Awww thank you.~” She chimed to Luna thinking that her feline traits had some appeal. She could use her halo to generate them atop her head and even add in feline contacts to her eyes but her disguise being cosmetic meant she had to stick to believable traits like this. If people didn’t see her ears twitching and moving with sound, bringing attention to the fact they were ‘fake’ helped sell her disguise even more, and in this world of quirks, it wasn’t even close to unbelieveable! “Your ears are much more appealing though if I may say, I’m almost hypnotized watching them twist and flick to all the little sounds around you…~” She hoped that wasn’t demeaning, but Luna’s energy seemed to give the vibe that it’d be hard to offend her with a slip of the tongue.
Aaaand that energy lead her to be very accepting of Marcie’s lies… good good. Catching her breath a little, making sure she didn’t feel like she had a split in her side or anything from the earlier chase, but no… she should be good. Hopping a little on the spot as they got into gear she offered Luna a bright smile before starting to jog alongside her. “Ah well great timing huh?~ Come on let’s get moving!~”
As she was asked what got them into Jogging, Cat paused briefly. Er. Right. Quick thinking and… okay that worked! “Oh just a want to stay fit you know? Good genes only last for so long, had to make sure I picked up the habit before time started creeping up on me… bit vain I know but what can ya do eh?” She shrugged casually, looking over to the girl.
“How about you? I don’t see many young woman trying to stay fit these days unless they’re aiming for a specific career? Are you an athlete perhaps…?” Marcie casually took a chance to glance over her shoulder, the controlled pace they were keeping meaning they didn’t use the swiftly moving Yakuza all that quickly. They seemed to have picked up on the fact someone was running through the crowd and a member of her pursuers had started to follow behind. If she could guess, he hadn’t actually recognized her or seen her face, so as long as she kept calm he’d probably realize there was nothing to chase up on…

With a playful little grin, Luna's ears perked up and her tail swished side to side happily as Cat explained that she didn't mind being called Miss. It meant that the student wasn't exactly far off or anything, and then she was told to never call her ma'am. Honestly, she was right, she looked like she was still in her prime, there was no reason to jump straight into calling her that. As such, she could only offer a very happy nod to reaffirm Cat that she understood.
Luna couldn't help but keep being the happy dog she was when Cat started talking about how appealing Luna's own features were. She let out a cheerful giggle. "Really? I've gotten so used to them I suppose I've stopped noticing all of the little things they do. But I take a lot of pride in my features so I'm glad people find them nice!" Luna gave off another smaller giggle as she finished off her sentence, seeming quite proud of herself for keeping up a cute appearance after everything else she did. Perhaps she could become a Hero that people loved in both charisma, looks, and power! Though that was all just a pipe dream, for the time being, she was still simply in her first year at Yuuei.
As Luna overheard what Cat had to say about her jogging routine, the dog-girl looked down for a moment with a simple "Ohhh" as she hadn't actually thought of that reasoning before. It made a lot of sense though, Luna just didn't have to worry about it for the time being since she was only in her early teens. "Well hey, I don't think it's bad to do whatever you can! Delaying it for as long as possible is still valuable, I think?" Luna chuckled a bit as she pumped her arms in the air. She always tried to do her best to think positively like that, it was nice to see the better half of everything possible.
Then, Cat turned the question back around on Luna causing her to tilt her head to the side in curiosity. Honestly, she didn't know much about other people all too much. It was surprising to hear that it was rare for other people like herself to stay fit these days, but at the same time when Cat brought up career it sort of clicked. Luna's career was one part of why she was keeping up with it, but not the full thing. And even then, leaning into the whole 'I go to Yuuei' thing was probably not too good of an idea. Cat was really nice, but who knew what prying ears would want to listen in to what she had to say out in public, especially with the area they were going through.
Seeing as she had a more proper reason for why she got into it all, rather than why she still was doing it, she may as well lean into the other aspect. "My dad and I like hunting, actually. As it turns out, having a daughter who can work as a hunting dog makes for easy family bonding." Luna would giggle and point to her nose. It was another sensitive part about her, and it meant it was easy to sniff out and track targets in the woods. "But I have to stay fit if I want to actually chase after game and all. I wouldn't want to get out of shape and be unable to go with him anymore~" the girl offered another chuckle as she explained this. Sure, it wasn't the full truth, but it was a healthy part of it.
Thinking back to her father actually made Luna a bit nostalgic. She could go home at any time to go see him but being away was so new, and seeing him so little was such a major change. And it meant she never really had the time to go hunting anymore. She would have to make an effort to change that at some point. Her new life was just... so lonely now to some extent. She certainly had friends but she wasn't actively doing stuff with a ton of people every day just yet. Most of her time was spent doing stuff in a controlled, personal environment.
That train of thought made Luna think back to something Cat said before, causing her to shoot her another little glance. "Uhm, sorry if this is too personal, but... you said you find it easier to exercise with others, right? Do you normally have someone you do this stuff with then? Are they just not available today?" Luna approached this subject with... moderate hesitation that was apparent when she spoke. She had no clue about Cat's life. Who she was, what she did, stuff that happened to her. For all Luna knew, she could have just gone through a terrible accident that took her old workout partner away from her, and now Luna was bringing it up on the spot! But still, the thought burned in her mind as she thought about her dad. Originally he was her biggest motivator, and now it was becoming a hero. Who did Cat do stuff with?

“Well it’s good to take pride in what makes you unique I find!~ personally I like to do the same. These things may not be functional but that doesn’t mean I take any less pride in them.~” She ran a hand back through her hair as they jogged, her feline ears briefly falling back under the weight of her hand before springing back forward. Effectively they were just really good looking fakes, her 3D-printing Halo likely filling them with some rigid metal framing on the inside to make sure they held their shape, but if you didn’t look too closely or know what to keep an eye out for, they seemed pretty genuine at a glance.
The reason she gave for her exercise was a simple one and one that didn’t lead to too many difficult questions she imagined, smiling brightly as they continued along their path as the girl seemed to take it in well enough. “Oh yeah, I mean, I don’t think I personally have to worry about it anytime soon but it’s good to keep on top of those things ya know? I know a few friends who like, secretly use their quirks to burn tonne of calories, but without that cheat myself I gotta make the effort ya know? Just part of life if you wanna keep looking good.~” She teased with a cheeky smirk and a sly wink.
She spotted that the girl seemed to briefly be deliberating with herself how to answer Marcie’s question, which made the naturally suspicious girl assume that whatever she might get told wasn’t entiiiirely the truth. Honestly the girl may have just been trying to find the answer, it was a bit of an odd question afterall, but at the same time Marcie held onto some mild suspicions. Not that they mattered, she’d likely never meet this girl again.
In the end she got the reasoning that the girl worked alongside her dad on hunting trips. That briefly brought a grisly image to her mind however and she nervously joked. “D-don’t tell me you like… ever landed the ‘killing blow’ so to speak…” She tried to be delicate, but the idea of the canine girl ‘sinking her fangs in’ was.. there, and an image she quickly wanted to be rid of. Still, she tried to hold her composure… “Still… hunting in Japan… I usually only hear of Americans doing that. We don’t have much wildlife out here afterall…or, at least, we don’t make a sport of hunting anymore…” She hummed softly in thought, not judging in any way, but definitely finding it a little curious. “Still, having a hobby with your dad like that sounds pretty fun. Can’t say I ever had the same connection with My pa but er…heh~ Guess that’s getting too personal for jogging buddies huh?~”
At the question of whether she usually ran with someone Marcie was briefly caught off guard with something she hadn’t readied an explanation for… she coooould just say she jogged alone and tried to join groups but that was an awkward lie to tell… so long as she based it in truth… “Well… you know the incident a month or so back? With erm.. Red Horn and that big fellow who caused a riot? My friend got injured during it all… s-she’s okay mind! She’ll be fine just… needs some time to recover. Nothing too serious though, no rehab or anything, just needs to rest her legs. The caste came off last week so it won’t be long before she’s joining me again.” She offered a nervous but warm smile with a little shrug. “What can ya do though eh? Not like anyone expected the top hero to suddenly go on a rampage… drug or no drug causing it, it’s not exactly something you can ever prepare for.” As always, a lie based in some truth she could easily rely on was always a stronger one.

Being the young, relatively innocent teenager that she was, Luna couldn't help but giggle a bit as Cat teased about keeping herself looking good. "That's true, I think you've done a good job so far for sure!" Luna exclaimed as she kept their pace moving forward comfortably. There was no doubt that Cat looked nice still, so she probably didn't have to work as hard as others might. But still, Luna couldn't help but grin at the young lady to show she really did think she was pretty.
When Cat started to delicately ask Luna if she ever landed the killing blow on any animals, the girl rubbed the back of her head for a second with a bit of a chuckle. "Oh no, not at all. I'm more just in it for the outside and terrain. Running on the roads is nice and all, but being able to maneuver the uncaring wilderness is all the more exciting." the girl all of a sudden got quite pumped up, smirking about how she had got the skills of an outdoorsman at this point. It was actually a part of her skillset she wanted to work into her hero side as well, being able to work well in the wilderness could probably be useful if she ever needed to rescue someone out there.
That was when Cat started to crack a couple of holes into Luna's explanation and honestly... it was pretty sound questioning. "About that, we only really started hunting when I embraced my Quirk as apart of myself. I guess he wanted to help me hone my skills, which are that of a Scent-Hound rather than just any general dog. So... he put two and two together and decided that we'd take up hunting as a hobby so I could get ahold of my tracking skills and have a better handle of my speed and agility when chasing down prey. Kill two birds with one stone so to speak... er, well, we didn't actually kill birds with stones. More just a metaphor." Luna felt pretty awkward by the end of that because it was pretty open-ended reasoning as well. Just because she was a dog that embraced her quirk didn't mean she had to hone the skills attached to it. It was ultimately because she wanted to put those skills to some further use that they started doing that. But that was a whole different story.
Luna got a bit quieter as Cat brought up not having the same connection with her father before bringing up getting a bit too personal. This prompted the dog-quirker to nod, not wanting to pry too much more.
Next, was the explanation of what happened to Cat's friend. It seemed that she had someone she liked to do this all with but they had to take a bit of a break due to an incident involving the number one hero. Cat was right though, nobody could have really expected it to happen and ultimately someone could easily get hurt.
Luna had no clue who this person was or what happened to her, but it sounded like they were recovering fine enough. Though the nervous-looking smile on Cat's face made Luna worry that maybe she was trying to keep it more lighthearted for a kid listening to the story. Maybe something a lot worse really did happen, and she simply wanted to keep it away from the conversation.
She had no real way to know if this was true or not, but it still caused Luna to end up looking at the ground with a melancholic look to her face. She had no way to help in that situation, that was before Luna was even a hero school student. And even then she was just a first-year with no jurisdiction.
She didn't really want to talk about Hero stuff too much, but Cat seemed like a real genuine person she could confide in. Luna looked to Cat with a soft smile on her face, pumping her arms with a soft determination. "I want to become a Hero someday. And when I do... I'm going to help to make sure stuff like that doesn't happen anymore. So maybe your friend will be safe and always be able to come with you." she spoke with a resolute determination, completely believing the story of Cat's friend and then painting her own conclusions from the matter. It was probably ultimately meaningless, but Luna felt as if it was important.

“Aw, aren’t you sweet~” Was the simple reply ‘Cat’ had to the compliment there. Of course the Real Marceline was under a layer of disguise, but it wasn’t like she didn’t do well either, so she felt she could take that compliment personally even if it was perhaps more aimed at the disguise she was wearing here.
She was a bit relieved in turn to hear the girl beside her didn’t act like a feral beast or anything when on the hunt, a brief sigh escaping her as she smiled with the news. “Well that’s good to hear. I was about to worry I might have to run a little faster if you suddenly decided Cat was on the menu.~” She teased playfully, not meaning to be rude by any means just running along the lines of the joke. “Still, whatever your reason for enjoying it, it’s always good to hear someone has a way of bonding with their family. I mean from a first look I wouldn’t take you for the hunting type but if it’s a good way for you and your dad to spend time together who am I to say anything?~”
As she went on to explain it was also a method of honing her skills, Marcie thought back a little to her own past with her quirk. When she’d been a kid most of the time it was just assumed her quirk was the ability to make a cute little halo. It helped her mom save on some special effects editing by letting her model some of her fashion line… when they discovered what her quirk could really do however, her parents certainly helped her train it, even if they didn’t mean to. Copying other outfits and imprinting them over her own to help them save money. Much cheaper to feed her than get a small team of people making outfits for them… she never complained, of course. If she hadn’t helped them out so much her quirk wouldn’t be where it is now…~
“Well, whatever his reasons, if you enjoyed it it’s not like much bad can be said about it.~ Have you been able to put nay of the skills you learned to use outside of hunting? Ya know beside being able to tell what’s cooking for dinner that night.~”
When Luna gave away the fact that they were hoping to be a hero, Marcie was able to make some of her own conclusions in turn. Staying fit with a jog, so chipper, wanting to be a hero. This girl was either at UA already or wanting to apply next year. Even as Marcie felt the relief of knowing the Yakuza had likely long since given up on chasing her she now realized the person she had chosen to run alongside was someone on the opposite side of the law to her. At least more so than the average civilian… still, she remained calm. Nothing she hadn’t dealt with before. “Ooooh. So you’re looking to get into UA next year? That explains the energy in you. All those kids look so lively, I’m sure you’ll fit right in.~”

Everything came to a firm point as Luna discussed her intentions of becoming a hero. Cat had asked her about where she could put her skills to use outside of hunting but that basically answered it right away. That meant that the entire focus of the conversation was instead looming about that fact, which Cat actually seemed pretty casual about. Maybe it wasn't such a big deal after all and Luna needed to be more relaxed about that aspect. Maybe it wasn't all that weird.
But what Cat had to say about it made Luna perk right up, even if some of it was incorrect. Just the idea of being told that she would fit right in made the girl quite happy and excited all over again. "Do you really think so? I want to make friends with all sorts of people and become a hero alongside all of them." she'd pump her fist into the air, sort of punctuating that point, her excitement burning strong. She was already at Yuuei though, so it was more like she was looking to fit in already. But that didn't make the encouragement of being sure she would fit in any less impactful.
"Ahh, I can't wait till I become one! I don't even know what my pro name will be but I want to make everyone smile when they hear it. I hope my energy and excitement is infectious to others so they can be excited along with me." she'd let out a small giggle after that, a stupid grin plastered on her face as she went on about it. She was kind of trapping herself now. She was so restricted about her desire to be a hero throughout the whole conversation that the moment that it slipped out she immediately started getting excited about every little thing.
It was easy to realize that for herself, though, which made her rub the back of her head with another soft chuckle. "Sorry, I got a bit too happy there. I guess I'm still a kid when it comes to these kinds of things." she would rub at her cheek a bit softly, feeling as if she possibly made things awkward with her overzealous feelings. That couldn't dent her joy though, even if it was what caused the weird outburst of hero talk.
Before Luna had even realized it, they had ran quite a bit already. The casual back and forth of the conversation had led her to lose track of distance and time. She didn't mind too much, though. This was a nice change of pace and she didn't have to be back at school until curfew anyways.

“Hehehhehe, if those sports festivals are anything to go by? Yeah, a girl with your energy is gonna blend right in with them, with juuuuust enough spunk to still stand out too.~” She offered a playful wink across. Before moving to Japan she’d been sure to put herself up to speed with people to watch out for, and as much as the heroes on the streets were the main worry, she also had to make sure she was covering herself with the heroes to be. Watching the past sports festivals and exhibition festivals to ensure she had an idea of any younger heroes she may have to watch out for if she were to ever let the wrong word slip. She definitely did see a pattern in them though… a lot of young spunky teens. Some of them just seemed to take things a little TOO seriously and dramatically if the sports fests were anything to go by. Still, they’d certainly make an *Interesting* bunch when they graduate…~
“Well I’m sure an energetic young thing like you will come up with something creative yet… justified I suppose? Enough of a play on words to make people smile, but not so silly it doesn’t also inspire hope you know? Maybe… blood hound? Or watch dog.~ I’m sure you’ll come up with something better though.~” She offered a bright smile in turn to her jogging buddy and a soft giggle behind her lips as they continued to move together, Marcie having actually forgotten she’d been using this girl as a means of escape for a moment as she just continued to enjoy her company, watching her energetic little motions and quirks.
“Oh don’t even.” She teased as she scooched close enough to bump the girl with her hip as they ran. “Don’t ever apologize for something like that deary. If someone isn’t enjoying you expressing your personality it’s hardly someone worth spending your time on. Trust me I know that better than most.~” And of course Marceline spoke from experience. As someone who enjoyed the finer things in life without having a refined background she was very much the outlier at high class parties and, well, if someone was going to look down on her for having a more lively personality than their snobby cliques, she wasn’t exactly going to deem them an ‘interesting bunch’ in her eyes.
Of course though, eventually Marceline had to remember why she’d even began this little jog, coming to a slow down further down the path as she started to catch her breath and stopped on a street corner, double checking around her, make sure she had no long term tails, a little bit out of breath if she was honest. “W-well… I best start heading back my way… I assume you’ll be heading back soon yourself? Don’t want to be out alone these days for too long what with those villain types and all that?” She offered a bit of a lopsided smile of concern, tarnished a bit by the constant deep breaths she was taking to catch herself.

It was easy to be a little happy that Cat was trying to help out with the desired hero name. Bloodhound was actually something on her mind, as it was what her Quirk was called, but maybe it was a little too on the nose. Watch Dog was a good name for sure though, perhaps she would work that in somehow. It would ultimately be a good idea if she sounded reliable.
Luna then let out a bit of a surprised "Woah!" as she felt Cat bump into her with her hip, causing Luna to stumble just a tiny bit. Despite stumbling, the girl let out a soft giggle as she smiled to her jogging partner. "Yeah I know... I shouldn't be sorry but I guess I just worry I'm annoying a bit to some people." she rubbed the back of her head while they ran together.
As they slowed down, Luna took some time to stretch as they relaxed, hearing what Cat had to say causing her to give an understanding nod. "I'll be going home soon. I have some studying to do anyway." it was sad that her time with this new acquaintance was coming to an end, but it wasn't like they could jog forever. "It was nice meeting you, Cat! I run this route quite often so I hope we can see each other again. Or we can meet without a jog, I wouldn't mind hanging out or anything." Luna tried to sound a bit optimistic about this, as it was always sad to meet someone nice and never see them again. But if they never met again it wasn't going to be the end of the world either.
"You be safe on your way back, and I'll make sure to do the same~" Luna let out a soft giggle while offering a wave to Cat to bid her goodbye. If that was to be it, Luna would extend her break just a bit longer before going back to Yuuei, she wasn't in that much of a rush.
