Today's Outfit"Ugh... of course..." Marceline was having one hell of a day as far as she was concerned. Since moving to Japan things had honestly been pretty great. The police were a joke, the Heroes were idiots, and anyone who was actually smart enough to figure out what she was up to where usually told it was illegal to do whatever they could to catch her, which had left her in a pretty strong position to run her cons all the way up and down the system, amassing quite a bit of wealth in the process. Honestly she was very easily in a position where she could just 'go legit' and not have to worry about the game but... hey, where was the fun in that? Today's game was stealing a car that had caught her eye. Again, she could easily apply for a payment pan and have one of these herself but... there was an odd thrill in stealing this out of unsuspecting hands and sliding it into a secret parking lot she owned on the other side of town. The issue was that in an attempt to get any initial cop searches off her tail, she'd ran her halo along the car to re-do it's paint job. While the cops were looking for a stolen red ferrari here was Marcline in a nice ocean blue one. Issue was, she was still getting used to using her quirk on anything but herself... so her quirk seemed to have messed with the engine. Barely managing to pull into the side of the street and park before the engine started puffing steam. "Okay okay... not so bad I can just... ask for a pick up, get them to take it to my garage and-" She stopped herself as she climbed out of the car, sighing as she realized. "No no they'd have to take a record of the license plate... they'd either figure out it dosn't belong to this car or... heck any card." She had just picked a random plate combination afterall. odds were it didn't even match any brand of car on the market. And if it did the odds of it being the same brand of car... hoo boy. In the hopes she hadn't fucked it up too bad she popped the hood open, backing off immediately as she was met with a blast of smoke in her face, coughing harshly as she pulled back and bumped into another parked car in the process. "Jesus... what did I do get paint in the engine?" She let out a soft sigh and shook her head, running a hand back through her hair, not sure how to handle this... she could probably slip a handyman a sizeable tip to just not take down the license plate or something but... Well may as well try the public. Her eyes looked about, spotting a young man walking down the street and stepping up onto the sidewalk. "E-excuse me! No chance you know how to fix an engine do you...?"

The sound of combat boots clicking almost rhythmically against the pavement echoed out as a boy, not very old but not all that young either, was on the run. He wasn't being chased nor had he done anything wrong, merely just part of a workout regiment he'd designed for himself. The sound of punk music was blaring in his ears from his headphones as he ran. His attire today was a little out of the norm, no large jacket in sight, but instead one of his old band tanks that read 'The Sums' on it and had a sickly green pattern. It was one of the oldest one's he had and it happened to have a few holes in it, his mother had scolded him about that on more than one occasion but he assured her that just made it all the more authentic. He was also in some dark black cargo shorts that really brought his whole outfit together. If he found himself out late at night then the green from his top would function well enough to make him stand out if needed. From the corner of his eye he noticed flashing lights and stopped to see a police car with it's siren going off heading the opposite way. It was the third one he'd seen today and he wondered what might be the cause for all the commotion. It didn't seem particularly serious though and so he continued on his way.
Roughly fifteen minutes went by and he'd managed to effectively avoid bumping into anyone or being interrupted on his run. His timing had been quite good in crossing streets so he was continuously able to move and make progress. There wasn't a specific point in mind he had for stopping and turning around but he still felt like he could go at this for a while. His mind was focused on the music so it caught him as a bit of a surprise when a woman seemed to appear out of nowhere and attempt to flag him down. She spoke but because of the headphones he didn't hear a word she said. There was a black smudge on her face and he could clearly see smoke coming out of a car she was standing next to, so it was quite easy to put the pieces together. Removing the headphones and putting his music to a pause he tied them around his neck so they wouldn't dangle about or get caught on anything. Without even responding to the woman he stepped over to the front of the vehicle and waved away the smoke to get a better look. After looking for a few moments he nodded his head and turned his attention to the owner of the vehicle. "You really messed this up, didn't you miss?" His words were extremely blunt and might come across as a bit rude but he was still on the money.
Glancing over at the engine he placed a hand against his stomach. He had a small breakfast and a protein shake earlier but had already burned a decent amount of energy. Fixing the engine was in the realm of possibility but it would be a bit taxing. "I can fix it for you no problem, I'll just need a few minutes. And if you don't mind a bite to eat is all it'll cost you." It seemed like a pretty fair trade in his opinion. This was especially so when you considered how expensive the car was and how the woman in question seemed rather well off so paying for a meal shouldn't bother her much.

Ugh, in her haste she hadn’t even realized the person she was calling to for help likely wasn’t even able to hear her, and now she was left potentially having to explain herself all over again. More a personal frustration with herself than anything aimed at him of course. It wasn’t his fault that she’d been a little bit oblivious and… well even less so his problem that she’d been a bit reckless in how she’d tried to disguise her vehicle. “S-sorry I didn’t mean to interrupt your music I just-oh!” She slipped back a little as he rather forwardly came over and stuck his head down into the stolen cars engine. She supposed it hadn’t been too difficult to put this jigsaw puzzle of imagery together afterall so this must be him helping out. Ah, that was a small relief on her nerves at least. She’d idly look to her own reflection in the shimmering paintwork of the car, noticing the black smudge on her face and drawing a hankerchief out of her inner jacket pocket, wiping at her face careful as to not remove too much makeup underneath the smudge.
“Ooooh please don’t say that. The hubby just keeps tinkering with the thing, I’ve no idea what he’s done…” She lied in a timid tone, she wasn’t much of a car person so it helped her ‘play the part’ so to speak, but the part about having a husband was just an added lie to help her seem like she was even more out of her depth, and hopefully remove any need to explain the issue that there might be.
Walking around the car, not wanting to constantly be getting fumes in her faces, she slipped open the door of the convertible, leaving her feet on the pavement so it didn’t look like she was ‘closing him off’ while he fixed the car, though she did idly look in her sideview mirror to fix up her foundation a bit with the supplies from her purse for just a brief moment, lifting her gaze to him with a light chuckle as he offered his ‘terms’ so to speak. “Dear if you can get me driving again I’ll happily treat you to whatever you want. What’s your fancy? You more a bit of a healthy subway type or will I be taking her through the mcronalds drive thru?~” She chimed with a chipper expression, offering no judgement on their eating habits. She could have a refined palette herself but hardly all the time.

Nodding his head to show he was still listening to her the blue eyed teen continued to survey the vehicle, he wasn't used to such a fancy car, mostly things that were a bit dated or even considered junk. There was a certain appeal to the classics, at least that's what people who owned them swore by. The appeal of cars was one that was lost on the youth but that was neither here nor there. The woman, whose name he realized he hadn't yet asked for, claimed that her husband had been messing around and caused this trouble. He could understand the desire to tinker with things but if you didn't know what you were doing it could be dangerous. There wasn't any reason to not take what she was saying at face value and so he did, a bit of car trouble wasn't really anything to make a fuss about anyway. There were parts and pieces here and there that he didn't fully know the function of, but he would in time. The deal was struck, which was nice for him, although even if he wouldn't admit it Rad would have helped her out even if she said no. He couldn't just leave her here especially if things escalated and a fire broke out.
Waving the smoke out of the way his eyes seemed to shine for a moment as he activated his quirk, the grid system scanning the vehicle as a whole and revealing it's secrets to the boy. Several seconds went by and he straightened himself up, clearing his throat he turned his attention to the woman who had taken a comfortable seat as she awaited for him to make good on his end. Apologies, I'll get started now. I didn't get your name ma'am. I'm Radimir, pleasure to meet you." Reaching down into what was currently smoking under the hood he activated his quirk once again. His fingers began to mold and transform until they were a variety of tools that would aid him in his work. After doing a little digging he found what the issues were with the engine, one of the pistons had gotten lose and was acting out of turn when compared to the others and the chain that helped organize the functionality as whole had gotten caught and was grinding against itself. Certainly not something you saw every day but it was just a machine made by people after all, mistakes could happen.
Several minutes went by and as the youth toiled away the smoke became less and less until finally it was gone. Poking around in a few other places just to be safe it seemed that everything was back in order. Deactivating his quirk he gently closed the hood and pressed down on it so it could lock. Wiping the sweat from his brow he offered a thumbs up to the owner of the vehicle. "That should do it. Be sure to let your husband know to be more careful with this stuff, it can be pretty dangerous if you mess up." The question she'd posed earlier was about whatever his current cravings were. Nothing really came to mind so he'd be fine with whatever. "Truth be told, I'm not too familiar with everything around here. So whatever you recommend works just fine."

Marceline’s gaze perked up a bit as she noticed the hints of the boy activating what seemed to be a quirk, the engine getting some weird grid like glow to it from his eyes as he took it all in. She’d seen visual effects like that come from robots or machinery in movies so it was a quick assumption that this quirk was helping him analyse the problem… and she was hardly about to complain.~ She used her quirk to get this car, it was only right he use his quirk to help her fix it. “Call me Marcie.” She responded to him giving his own name, pulling her legs into the footwell of her car to get comfortable, speaking to him through the raised hood of the car between them but managing to direct her voice through it well enough with her natural confidence. “So your quirk… I assume it helps you get a feel for the engine or something?” She asked curiously. It never hurt to know what someone’s quirk did. Especially if you could make use of it one day. And if his quirk in some way scanned things well… it wasn’t too far from her own then was it? And she could definitely think of uses for something like that…~
She let him do his work for the most part, not about to question him with his process given she had no idea what she’d be doing either, closing up the side door of her car when he started to lower the hood and lock it down, slipping the keys back into the engine and giving it a cautious turn. It chugged for just a second or so before purring to life. She’d probably need to give the thing a deeper more professional look sometime to be absolutely safe, but it at least seemed like it could get home okay. “Ahhh!~ Merci Beaucoup!~” She gave a brief clap to express her delight before shifting across the car to open up the passanger door, patting the spare seat beside her before reaching for her driving shades she’d left on the counter, resting them over her eyes and pulling her hair back into a ribbon pony tail so the wind didn’t mess it up too bad. “Well it’s on me. Just name a place.~ I mean… I own a small string of cafes if you fancy a coffee and a light sandwich or a cheesecake. There’s one not too far from here in fact.~” Of course she’d take him wherever he wanted, but why not offer her own business?~
