The evening sky started to approach once again, letting the spring breeze wash over the leafs that rustle calmly. It was there that the school had its last class of the day. The impatience of students that wished to be going to their own rooms almost palpable in the air. It only took a little while longer before they could. The last class for Archibald was a free space he could use to get training in. Once again using it to strengthen his control over his quirk and his body alike. The day had been tiring for sure, his mind already tired from classes that he often had to spend time translating as it was. But that was all part of the hero course. It was no surprise that it took extra effort. There was only a moment notice as he felt the ice that had once been holding up one of the heavy dumbbells up, give up its shape and slowly lowered the object to the ground. It was part of the course to train, but the equipment in the room was lackluster for a quirk such as his own. The place having decent facilities but not quite the kind that would allow him to learn how to control vaster amounts of water for example. It was that moment that he looked around once more.
The gym that he found himself in was old, it was kept up well enough but not quite to the degree that allowed someone to call it pristine. He also noticed that some of the equipment needed parts replaced. Sure they were comfort parts that held no direct relation to the tool, but it was still a sight he wished was better. The school was still new to this to an extend, it would surely improve over time. It was that thought that made him shake his head and look at the few classmates around him. Not everyone needed strength training, and he surely didn’t need it for his quirk to work either. But he wanted to, it fit his quirk that he would be able to defend himself. He knew there was no way he would win against true powerhouses yet, but it couldn’t hurt.
With a sigh he grabbed the heavy dumbbell of the ground. It’s weight on the skin of his hand pulling down slightly as he realized it wasn’t quite that heavy. His quirk held it up long, but should he strengthen it then it would be good to have it hold this weight longer. The more he focused the longer and heavier the object could be, but surely there was enough to be said about small steps. For now this was enough, but he would continue another time. He focused and realized he could not use his quirk the moment he would leave the room. He stood up from his position on the dead lifts and put the dumbbell down in the rack that was put up for it. Surely it would get better with time. He turned on his heel and looked at the sweaty other students, he could see that he wasn’t the only one to be tired after the day.
“Hey, anyone planning to get out of here too? I was planning to grab something to eat on the way out so if anyone wants to join?”
A short pause at the end of his sentence allowed those present to answer. If no one replied to the question he could simply walk out and be on his way. He would likely end up eating in if that was the case. Taking a stroll to the front hall of the school to exit. If people were interested however, he would ask them if they had anything they felt like eating and likely go along with that idea.

They had opened up the secondary older gym that year due to the number of students who's quirks benefited from physical strength training and so today would be the day Jess tried it out. Normally she would use the main gym that was something of a mark of pride for the school, but she also had an even better gym provided at the Estate in which custom weights she had brought from Poland were. Still something needed to be said about exploring new places and seeing new people, activities in which Jess had partaken a lot of since getting to Japan and something that she strove to do each day there. Her free periods skipped around on days and today it happened to fall at the very end of it, as such after this she planned on leaving straight to the compound to see if she could find more Hero training with the Pro-Heroes associated with Kasey and K-Corp. The unofficial jump start they provided her with was something the Slavic girl cherished immensely and would ponder on while she did her lifts. To the outside observer her form would seem to be extremely poor as she was focusing on tearing her muscles immediately and allowing her summon inside her very own blood to regenerate the damage much quicker than a normal human could, allowing her to produce larger gains than one could normally get. As such Jess worked out for only about ten minutes before she had done what would be the equivalent of an intense two hour lifting regiment. Such was the strength of her shadowy summon which stood beside her with it's one eye looking at the screen of a smart phone it held in it's unnervingly large hands. Black Hole Sun had a mind of his own and often would surf the internet in order to not be bored while his host was working out, there was no point for the doll to as the actual summon was in the blood itself but, it did provide sensory information and as such could be useful in staving off boredom. So it would be just a bit after their telepathic conversation about what BHS had learned that another student in the gym would speak, ah, an opportunity to meet someone new, this was something that the Polish girl wanted to pounce upon. Something to eat would be good and besides, there was probably no problem in delaying her passing back to patrol the estate and instead make a new friend as her social life was not something she knew that Kasey would want her sacrificing at her behest. Though it really ultimately depended upon the thing that they would be eating in the first place, Jess would need to figure that out first before coming to a complete decision. " Oi, where of was planning to be eating?" Jess would ask, her deep but feminine tone chirping as she waved one of her arms to capture the other students attention as she strode towards him from across the gym. While not TOO much shorter than her like most of the other students, Jess did seem to have quite the bit of bulk on him and so she hoped her forward introduction would not scare him but had to attempt all the same. " Hello, am of Jess Circe, class 1-A, nice to be seeings you..." the pause left at the end of the sentence was one of the few social cues the girl actually knew and she used it to coax the name out of the fellow student in order to introduce herself better. As she spoke the second sentence she would be close enough to extend the hand she had used to wave earlier to offer him a handshake. [ WC: 630 ] |

Someone did respond to his question. A girl much like himself that showed the signs of not being from around these parts. She was in his class, but not someone he had the pleasure to get well acquainted with as of yet. He smiled when she approached, she was very well muscled and while most others might have found her intimidating, the fact she was a fellow foreigner made him all the more interested. With her question, he realized that it was in fact, far beyond him to know what was in the neighborhood. And as such he smiled at her. Her sentence was then continued in a greeting that made him realize he may have not been noticed by her yet.
"Ah, of course, Jess, I sit two tables down from you in class. Archibald Reighn. As for the food, I am ok with anything really. I don't know if there is anything you like a lot, but there are surely some nice places around."
He smiled at her. No trace of fear for this big hulking woman, or the fact he had seen the big one-eyed summon. He saw the hand she extended and with his hand, ungloved for once, he shook it. The woman's hand was a decent size, more muscular than his own for sure. However, due to his quirk running through him at a near-constant rate, he has always been decently strong. As he shook her hand he nearly forgot, fatigued from the day as he gave her a firm handshake that would make most people flinch. His skin was extremely cold, and the nails seemed to have a thin layer of ice at the ends. He quickly let go as his face showed a clear sign that he was worried he hurt her or that she would recoil at his touch. He looked up and stuttered for a second as he muttered a soft apology.
"I... eh sorry I should have put to on gloves... eh... like I said I'm happy to go anywhere."
He quickly pushed his hands into his pockets and grabbed a set of gloves. Pushing his hands into them as he looked back up at the woman. Her quirk was something that others surely may have opinions of. Like his own, it was something people may have been vocal about it. He hoped he didn't give off the feeling that he wanted to flex on her or be rude to her. He sighed as he smiled at her, sincerely and with a slight blush.
"I am so bad at this. Ever since I came here I'm just trying to meet people and learn about this new country, but it can be pretty nerve-wracking don't you know? You come from abroad too right?"
He gave her a big smile, the girl seemed nice to him. Surely they could be friends he felt.

Ah it was the student that was two desks down from her, being uncertain as they were both new but admittedly him moreso than her, Jess had not wanted to assume and regret making the decision to attempt to use his name. Delighted that she did not need to risk that as he introduced himself the Slavic girl would smile at his words. As the pressure increased Jess simply flexed her own muscles to compensate to ensure she wouldn't even need to repair the damage that someone with a Quirk could do when not noticing their own grip. While Jess was always gentle, it seemed this boy forgot and so the Polish girl simply exerted her own strength to match, it was no real big deal after all. The cold was an unfortunate touch but ultimately not cold enough for her regeneration to not keep pace with, healing any cells that got frostbite nearly as soon as they got it thanks to it being from a localized source and not truly output at full power but was rather a careless afterthought. Jess stared blankly at the apology and simply ask, " Apologizing for of what Archibald?" To her there really wasn't anything to apologize about, either he couldn't control his quirk or he lost focus after working out. Neither of which were things to be judged over in Jess' opinion and since she could shrug off any damage caused it allowed her to play as if nothing had happened and she did not notice at all. " Was nerve wracking for Jess at first but do not be of worry, it get's easier and you already speak of language better than she so much easier for you it should be" Jess would say nodding sagaciously despite the odd pattern of speech she displayed in the Japanese language, it had not been so long ago that it was the first day Jess had arrived after all. " Jess is from Poland, so she came here just recent. Will of try to help you get used to place." With a genuinely large smile on her face she would place her arm around Archibald's shoulder and begin walking out of the gym with him while she continued to speak, " Jess know of place that is not too far bad and she of has VIP access" at this she raised and wiggled her eyebrows, not mentioning who and how she had this access as it was not earned by her own merit but she wanted to impress her fellow student for some reason. With a slight smile he realized he had not done any damage to the girl. It was unlike him to lose his focus that much. As he felt her arm around him he relaxed a little. He smiled back at her as he walked with her.
“Yea, I’m from the Netherlands and I found that it was hard to adjust at times. Everything is quite new, and living in the dorms by myself can be quite daunting at times... Also I think your japanese is perfectly fine, but if you prefer english or german then that is fine too.”
He smiled kindly at her as he heard her proposition on going to a place she apparently knew. It was an exciting prospect and the idea that it would be something a fellow european like himself knew was making him confident it was likely going to be something he’d like. He wasn’t a particularly picky eater, but a somewhat unpleasant experience with fish left him with a bit of hesitation towards eating anything too fishy. Except for sushi, which he had often had at home. he gently tapped her hand with his own, the one around his shoulder as he looked at her:
“Also I heard people often limit physical contact around here. I don’t quite get it but I have to say those muscles are impressive. I mean it doesn’t happen often no-one breaks something when I accidentally lose control.”
He shook his head as he realized she likely didn’t know his power like he had seen her’s.
“My power lets me control water and ice. My veins have this water as well and with it I can get a pretty good strength out of my muscles, I think about the 200 kilos or so? That said, my ice is best used for creative tactics.”
For the first time in a while he was proud talking about his quirk. It wasn’t often he thought his quirk was that good, given the amount of distance people often had from him, but this girl didn’t mind. Her arm was around him and with his skin being no more than 10 degrees celsius she must have felt the cold by now. But instead of recoiling at the earlier event she seemed all the friendlier.
“Well let's go then! Where to?”
As he said that he would let her take him to the place she had in mind.

Shifting immediately into German as soon as her fellow student offered the language as a vehicle of communication Jess would respond cheerfully, " No my Japanese is horrible, it just takes so long to learn your fourth language and I don't like pulling off the trick where Black Hole Sun pipes me the words cause it hurts my head." Sheepishly smiling back the Polish girl would duck her head a bit as she rubbed the back of it with one of her hands in slight embarrassment about it all. What could be more fishy than raw fish the writer wondered as the two would continue to converse. " That is precisely why they limit physical contact, I can control myself rather well since I've been trained to since birth but often those with damaging or strength quirks won't realize that those without the durability to handle it will be hurt by their actions. It's why control is such a key to fighting, if you know how NOT to damage you usually have to learn how best to damage." It was a simple philosophy and one that the ex-child soldier abided by now thanks to her unofficial mentor Kirk. Their interaction the other day had left more impact than the upperclassman had no doubt expected and now shaped her entire view, choosing not to kill unless asked by someone who was in danger of dying themselves without the action performed. An extremely narrow place of killing to the point that one could say that they would never kill and speak the truth for the most part. After all it would be a point where most people would have the hardest time deciding what to do even if they were a virulent pacifist. Water and Ice huh? That surely seemed like an interesting thing and did he just say his blood was like water? Hrmm it seemed their powers were a bit similar and perhaps could be compatible in enhancing the other one some day in the future. That was quite the interesting thought indeed, two types of blood but if he could control water and water was in his veins it was just the same as how she used Black Hole Sun within her own lifeblood. " Well you can actually lift up to six hundred kilograms like I can judging off your grip strength earlier, I did not want to embarrass you as truthfully it just tickled my ability to regrow my body those nerves are long since shattered from over stimulation after all. Since you didn't hurt me I can tell you if you only lifted two hundred kilograms I wouldn't have needed to flex my muscles at all, the ice would have still been fun but it would have been more like a 'regular' human grabbing my hand dearie." Not meaning to patronize the pet name at the end was simply a term of endearment that Jess applied to most people she thought were not scumbags, so far Archibald had been extremely kind and polite and as such she extended this to her speech being able to do so thanks to speaking in German rather than Japanese. Ignoring the cold and powering through it thanks to her regeneration that would soon need to be cut off Jess braced herself and shut off the link to Black Hole Sun and instead took the cold with her own natural ability to be used to harsh Polish winters and relying on her fantastic circulation to keep her arm warm. " Well there is this place that serves all kinds of stuff, I always get the stake but it's very European compared to most restaurants in the area." [ WC: 612 ] |

As she changed her langauage to German, so did Archibald. Almost emediately finding it more comfortable to speak in that language over the newly learned Japanese. As she talked he realized that her german was vastly superior to her Japanese, but also to his own german. Being happy to find someone who he felt comfortable with and apparently go have dinner with he was almost too focused on that to realize her comment on the strength. He looked up at her with a raised eyebrow and replied in disbelieve; "You mean to say I can lift a small car? You are surely kidding me. I mean I am happy to tickle you but if what you say is true, I'll likely need to be even more careful from now on. I only lose control over it when I get very tired... anyway I am happy I didn't hurt you."His face went slightly flush hearing the girl call him 'dearie', it was something he wasn't used to and while he came from a country where people were more direct with their affectionate terms, he still couldn't help it. A smile appeared on his face, not misunderstanding it as anything more then an endearing term, he still liked the sign that she was somewhat comfortable around him. As she told him about the restaurant he realized he was starting to really crave the food. After working out he sure got hungry. They would start walking as Archibald asked her; "So how do you enjoy it around here? Did you come here with your family? Also, I do have to say, if you have dulled out nerves, won't that make you prone to a lacking sense of touch... that could make it very difficult for you to not accidentally hurt others... that must be hard."He rambled on for a bit before they would make their way off to the changing rooms. Making sure he was wearing his gloves and other attire that allowed him to wonder outside he waited for Jess next to the changing rooms. Together he would walk with her, if she did so as well, off the school ground and towards the restaurant she had in mind.

" Yes you're gonna have to be far more careful, I feel like I'm at the same plateau as you but just about to break through to this next one so yeah no worries you did not hurt me. Hell I once had my forearm ripped off and the thing grew back!" Jess let out a gale of laughter more at the fact that she just shared one of her darkest secrets so easily. Her brain operated in an odd way and simply offered it out as a material to bond over and did not think on the context of the situation allowing her to let out quite a bit more than she had meant to. " Oh it has not been too bad, a bit awkward at times but no I have always been my own family really. My adopted parents are Diplomats but I stay with Kasey on her Estate. Weird girl uses her summons name as a last name, but she is a really good woman aside from that. I thiiiink she is not that much older than we are but I cannot know for sure. Oh well I was lying about my nerves being dead so you wouldnt feel bad, it's really they're just overused so the pain impulses from them are naturally duller compared to the other centers of my brain that are less physically worn out." The response was given as if everyone knew stuff about the makeup, physical and chemical, of the human mind when very few often did but that was the way of Jess, if she knew something then everyone else must know it right? Unfortunately it seemed as though the dinner would have to wait for another time due to the fact that now only two blocks from the restaurant and after walking a mile away from the school the two would encounter someone lying on the ground and twitching. To Jess it sounded as though their breathing was restricted, as the figure came into view Jess would squint and look at the person for a bit before recognizing what exactly was going on, dropping Archibald's arm and then rushing forward at less than a sprint to make sure she did not bowl over anyone who came out from a shop that lined the sidewalk they were on. Aside from these three people however there was not another person for blocks or in sight aside from those inside, leaving only the two students to deal with this. [ WC: 415 ] |

With a curious look he saw his gaze wonder across the arms of the girl. Her arms showed no sign that distinctly told him which of the arms would have been detached at any point. He looked at his own as he mentioned: "I wonder if I could use my ice to make prosthetic for myself... I know I've been trying to use it as functioning limbs but I'd rather not lose any limb to find out."With a sheepish smile he let the conversation trickle on. An occasional word was traded between the two as he nodded to her explanation on the nerves. It was a bit beyond his understanding how it worked exactly, but it sounded fairly straightforward to the young man. "You know you shouldn't lie about that. I get it though. Don't worry. Now, from here on no more of that. I can handle it you know. Just be sure to show me the result of you breaking that ceiling. I'll be sure to not get too far behind you."With a smile the boy slapped the girl on her back, a soft slap, more of en encouraging nature. As he did however he noticed the same as the girl. A man of middle age with a terrible looking inability to breath in front of them. The man looking with wide eyes as a thin purple gas trickled out of his nose and mouth. The man soon started to look like he was about to faint. As the two approached the figure on a jog to see what happened. Archibald looked around him to see if anyone could be found. A somewhat calm mentality kept up due to the years of practice to keep control of his quirk made him look at the man and the girl. "I think we should get him to a hospital. You think you can carry him? You can regenerate if you need it, right if I understood?"With a serious look he looked up at the sky, inspecting the weather. A clear evening meant they would be in a good half an hour more of adequate light. He jumped on his toes a few times as soft misty haze erupts from him, his skin now colder as his body got ready to run if needed. He looked at Jess as he nodded;"Where too, you know it better here. I'll be sure to run a few meters ahead of you to clear the road. You just take care of the man."He looked at her. The moment she would say a name of a location he would get started on his run. A few meters ahead of the two he would run with a decent speed to ensure they would know if a car or other problems arise. Doing this until they would arrive at the hospital unless the girl would encounter a problem. If they were to arrive the boy would approach the counter to tell the situation and give the help a headstart.
