Strange times, that’s what I hear a lot, “such strange times.” But what is so strange about an auction held for villains? Is it more strange than a military attack on quirkers? What should be maybe considered strange is this new phenomenon, I’ll give you two words and you have to wonder if this is the first time you have heard about it; I give you the Plutocracy and I give you M.A.R.I.N.E. Someone still has to find out what the abbreviation means and tell me about it, but let’s start at the beginning.
Once upon a time, there was an illegal auction at Shinagawa, and let me just say I was there~ This Plutocracy that some of you might have heard about, or encountered, had started this auction that brought a lot of attention and a lot of people, lots and lots of famous and infamous people maybe, but what they sold was this M.A.R.I.N.E. It better not be used as one of your everyday party drugs because before you know it, you painfully warp into a blob of nothingness on the pavement. So much for getting high. It is by far and I think many would agree with me; the grossest shit I have seen, and worst of all; Plutocracy didn’t care. Or maybe that is second worst; the worst of all was that the villains tried to grab it.
With a lot of other people, I heard about and saw so many faces there, it is impossible to remember. At the top; I saw hero number one, hero number two and hero number three on one of the ships that were there, trying to stop the villains from taking this strange substance (seriously someone tell me, I am all ears). All I heard is that Redhorn fought off Thundershock, both seemed to be quite hurt and I could not really point out a winner with my binoculars but hey; he left? There was this other guy, someone shadowy that fought with Yellow Jacket, she seemed to have gotten hurt but it wouldn’t be our favourite busy bee if she didn’t manage to get away and snatch some of the substance for the good side~ Yay YJ! Last on the ship was Witch Doctor, I saw her fighting the nasty woman called Oracle, the one who I heard killed her father. All the more reason for Witch Doctor to be able to swipe a nasty grin of the Oracles face (yes, she got arrested).
Our top three heroes were, of course, not the only people aboard. Not only was the ground nicely covered by police and the people of the National Public Safety Commission but there were vigilantes and heroes doing their darned best to fight off the scum or, well, other people that tried to get their hands on the nasty stuff. I don’t have much to tell you about the rest, fights happened, clashes, jumping off ships to make it to safety with crates that could contain just about anything. I do have to admit, why would you run off with a random box when you don’t know what is in it?! Waste of time, but then again isn’t it a waste of your life if you stay too long? In this case, we only have a handful of heroes but are all combat ready? I mean we need people like the Informant but we definitely need people like King Taurus alongside him. Though I am sure that in one way the Informant can deal with villains on their own, just not on a metal ship for hours and hours? While the something-something was sinking within the firepower I thought I saw. Still we should be gosh darn happy that the vigilantes decided to jump in, I don’t know how bad it could have ended elsewise. I don’t want to break someone’s cute little dream but Tokyo, or Japan in general, has a lot of villains to worry about. You better hurry up and graduate hero school if you get my drift. Cuz I don’t know who the sand chick is, I only researched and found a name Sunaho (hi call me) and I believe Dagon was there, you know from the nasty group called Vagabonds but boy, would I be glad to see them split up~! Then there were some freezing powers, I swear I saw double at one point when it came to the vigilante and all with all, I had not enough eyes to watch it all.
But if you thought that one ship was enough, I will give you an overview; no there was a whole container yard full of fighting, there was also the train issue… and I hear you asking; which idiot would take a train during a police raid? Well there was an auction at the terminal of Shinagawa too and had it not all been villains and the Pluto-bitch-cracy it might have made sense to move things by train. That’s until Team B of the vagabonds thought it was necessary. Seriously, I have the name but I have not found too much information about them yet, it’s all too vague and just the name that I could find. Taking the train with all their valuable and probably dangerous items, was maybe a smart plan, was it not that some smarty called Blacktooth kept on throwing train carts off, I mean why not?! I like that strategy. I also liked Serperior’s strategy but maybe I am slightly biased ;) (Aren’t we all?) I mean the bad thing is; we don’t have many of the results of this fight. There was hard fighting from our boys Blacktooth, Serperior and Vega up there in the air, all shining bright on what they try to do but may I point out, ladies and gentlemen, that heroes are people too and that it is highly important what jobs they do but also that they survive when they do those jobs. I am glad to say they managed to jump off the train before it collided with the wall of the Shinagawa docks and exploded. The people taken hostage by the Vagabonds had already been killed but we don’t know where the villains are.
Another part of the fight took place in, of course, the auction house. Now it’s difficult to say what happened because I wasn’t inside and well, with so much stuff indoors, it’s difficult to even see with binoculars. All I heard later was that the Painter was there with another tough buff person with snake-arms? I kid you not. It was the vigilantes territory and again; boy am I glad they were there. Some young man using ice powers and another woman, more like a priestess but maybe in those times we need someone like that, anyway it seemed that they have managed to find the man behind it; Shouji Amane. The Logistics manager knew exactly what he started when offering the auction place to Plutocracy. Also, I swear that I saw some bubbles but someone would have to explain that to me.
Right, but what about the container yard, I hear you say well let me start. Some of you might have already heard about Ace, the villain attacking Police, well guess who couldn’t miss the party… Seriously not even waiting for a written invitation she was there. But alas for Ace, they were not alone, I have not mentioned all heroes yet that were there because there was Blue Agate, not only picking up tugs left and right and handing them over to the police, nope, but also protecting the uniformed officers from people like Ace. Together with Hellhound in this hell of a yard (you get it?) they fought and conquered, though I have to sadly report the villains are still on the run, not much is known about the villain that Hellhound fought but I can tell you; there were scorch marks, thank you very much.
If everything in the container yard wasn’t bad enough, there were more heroes and vigilantes at the scene. Wild Heart and Olympia tackled a few warehouses around the scene, it’s hard to miss the flying hero and the smashing centaur-thing. So much breaking, avoiding, screaming and everything, I could hear it from my snuggly container. But, Pinocchio was there too, we cannot all forget one of our scary villains, glad to say that Olympia managed to grab the scary villain after quite a struggle and drag him over to the police and prison. (Edit: Sad to say that the police apparently don't know how to correctly do their job; he escaped). The life of heroes isn’t all sunshine and roses, helping civilians, fixing the hostage situation and all that jazz and not managing to be able to trust the police to finish the job for them. I suggest the government holds a refreshment course, yay~ Also for their own safety, we don’t want police to be shot at every night either, thank you very much.
If all that was not enough there was another play by the vigilantes to protect a child, seriously how did she get there and what was she doing there drinking a nasty substance? I don’t know what the police did with the protecting vigilante (I think it was a vigilante) but thank you to this man. Drag-on, another vigilante that I personally met before was fighting I think the last member of the Vagabonds.
I cannot point out as you might have understood how big of a deal this was, how many tugs, unknown people and police officers were there and lost their lives but also fought for theirs and the protection of the civilians (sorta like me) that were around. It is not always easy to be with a quirk or to fight without a quirk, but it is something; it is the law. We know a lot of lawbreakers, that means we need law enforcement, but I want to point out that we, in this case, might not have had a victory if the vigilantes had not been there.
