APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Radimir stands in at a more or less average height but has more weight to him than you might first think. His body is muscular and somewhat compact in appearance, he's been told by his dad plenty of times that he'd be a hell of a boxer. Radimir's skin is quite pale with various small scars located across his body. From some skin having been split on a few knuckles to cuts on his arms and legs to scrapes on his back if you can think of any small instance that would leave a mark he's probably experienced it. The scars almost have a grey-ish tone to them and hardly stand out from the rest of his body. He was taught at a young age that you have to take pride in your appearance and so he's constantly taking care of himself whether it be filing his nails or plucking his eyebrows, which are extremely thick as he inherited his dad's genes in that aspect. His seems unruly at first but is kept to specific lengths with the occasional cowlick being the only thing that's out of his hands. It is a dark blue that almost appears black depending on the lighting and as far as body hair is concerned he's got next to nothing. His eyes are the only clear indication that he's got a quirk. They're light blue with a grid like pattern over the irises.
When it comes to fashion Rad doesn't really have a sense for it nor does he care to begin with. Being comfortable and practical is far more important to him. You'll usually find him in something baggy, like his favorite trench coat or another large jacket with a muscle tank underneath. His pants are also baggy but also have a zipper around the knees that can change them into shorts should he need to start running. Rad makes sure to dress in a way that people won't know if he's carrying anything on his person but can quickly shift into something easier to move in should the need arise. He's always in some form of combat boots or high tops. If really pressed for it however he can wear more casual clothes, usually some kind of band tee and pants with a few straps or chains on them. He enjoys the punk style and doesn't mind indulging in it from time to time.

Personality:
Radimir comes off as being distant and hard to read or get along with but should anyone muscle through the tough exterior they'll find a lax and kind interior. Having moved around a lot Rad never really had the chance to form lasting friendships and after a while chose to stick to himself to avoid the pain that comes with having to say goodbye. He became more comfortable sitting back and watching others have fun so his people skills aren't the most well developed. Focusing on himself he started to enjoy anything that let him work up a sweat and as soon as his dad said it was alright he started to work out and learned how to fight. His somewhat tough upbringing helped him develop confidence and he learned relatively young how harsh the world could be so decided he'd have to put on a brave face if he was ever going to make it anywhere. Even if times get tough you can expect Rad to never let it show. He does however highly value any kindness that is expressed to him and is careful to be very appreciative. With little to his name aside from his parents and a couple of friends who swore they'd never forget him Rad is protective of the things and people he cares about and will do whatever he feels he has to in order to ensure their safety.
Rad does unfortunately have some harsher aspects, his poor people skills being one of them as it's reflected in his bluntness. He's quite intelligent, but that makes it more unforgivable when he seems to blurt out exactly what he's thinking without paying too much mind to how it'll make others feel. It's not that he's trying to hurt people's feelings he's just being honest and making sure there's no misunderstandings. This all ties in to him being difficult to approach. Rad has a very strong sense of who he is and what his beliefs are so he'll usually stick to his guns and be next to impossible to get to move once he's taken a stance on something. His mind tends to wander at times and he can't help but think if there's really any grand purpose or real meaning to the things people do and their lives as a whole, but rather than dwelling on in he just shrugs his shoulders and carries on. He's been told to be kind of a bummer at times because of that however. For one reason or another Rad can be very forgetful whether it be someone's name or what he was supposed to be doing on a given day and will need to be reminded from time to time to make sure he's on the same page as everyone else. Something he'll never forget though is a grudge, if someone wrongs him or someone he cares about you can expect him to hound them to any given corner of the world until they've paid for their misdeeds.

HISTORY
Radimir was born September 7th, a calm and snowy evening, in St. Petersburg. His parents were definitely an odd mix, a quiet and reserved Japanese woman with a kind heart and his father being a tough and scarred Russian. But they were both proud as could be of the little being they had brought into this world and they intended to give him the finest life they could. That would unfortunately prove to be hard given his father's background of being in the mob, but in that moment he decided he was going to throw it all away for the woman he loved and the child they'd birthed. Unfortunately, when it comes to the mob you're in it for life and they don't take too kindly to anyone trying to get out of the family's business. There'd be no way to ask to leave and so they were going to have to be on the run, thankfully Russia was a large place that would be very difficult to keep tabs on as a whole, and so they believed in that chance. Rad's father had a cousin who was a good man and loved him and his wife dearly and so he helped to get them out of St. Petersburg. He even went so far as to wipe their trail and make it harder for the mob to track them down. And thus began Rad's life on the move.
Growing up his father was strict and stern but never asked for more than he thought his son could accomplish and his mother was always sweet and kind to him so he was happy. When he grew up he wanted to be someone the two of them could be proud of. At the age of four his quirk manifested, although what it was exactly neither he nor his parents knew. The only reason they had any idea he even had a quirk was because of the grid pattern that appeared over his irises. Try as he might though he couldn't figure out what his quirk could do. When he was around five or six he remembered his dad saying that they were going to be moving but didn't offer any sort of reason or explanation as to why. His mother didn't ask and so he figured he shouldn't either. That was to be the pattern for the rest of his childhood, every few years moving to a different part of Russia with no questions asked. At first it kinda bothered Rad, he'd start to make friends and feel like life was normal and then suddenly be uprooted and have to say goodbye to people. He disliked having to say goodbye. After a while he decided against making friends altogether, he didn't push people away but also didn't go up and try to befriend them. Sitting on the sidelines and just watching other people have normal lives seemed much better for him. If the only thing that was going to remain constant in his life was himself and his parents than he'd just focus on that.
Rad would be teased for not knowing what his quirk did and would even get picked on by some of the rowdier kids but he didn't let it bother him. His dad wasn't very happy that his son was being bullied and so he started to teach him how to fight, he figured a little kick-boxing training here and there would do wonders for him so long as he didn't abuse any of the techniques he learned. Rad wasn't much for violence anyway, just a quick showing of what he could do usually scared the kids into leaving him alone anyway. In a sense it was kind of like he was alone. The kindness of others is never to be underestimated though, he met some kids who were very kind and accepting of him even if it was like he was quirkless. His mother taught him to always appreciate what others do for you especially when they ask for nothing in return and so he took that to heart. He enjoyed the time he'd spend with such kind individuals but he knew it wasn't going to last. Before he knew it he was packing his things again and on the move to some other corner of their proud country. A little after turning thirteen the process of picking themselves up and moving along was happening again and Rad finally decided to ask. His parents tried to dismiss him at first but he was set on getting an answer. Reluctantly they explained everything to him, about his father's past and how the mafiya was essentially hunting them down to make them pay for bailing on family.
Shortly after settling in again the worst possible thing happened, the mafiya caught wind of where they were and had found them. Rad still remembers the day very clearly. A strange man he'd never seen before waited to pick him up after school, he refused to go with him until the mafiya family name was mentioned. It was obvious at that moment that running or calling for help wasn't going to change the outcome and so along for the ride he went. They ended up in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city and when he was brought inside he found his mom and dad had already been caught and were chained up. He tried running to free them out of instinct but was tripped up and kicked to the side. The pain didn't phase him much but it did make the whole situation feel even more real. The guy in charge appeared and gave a whole bit about the importance of 'family' and how you're not supposed to walk out on them or else you'd pay dire consequences. Long story short his parents were going to be killed and then he was up next on the chopping block. His parents had been blessed with quirks but neither of them were any good for getting out of this situation. They were simple and not meant for any of the high crime that was going on in the news or suited for the people who were rising up to fight said villains. His father could look at something and tell you what it was made of and break it down in his head into smaller parts and his mother could just make copies of small things she touched like notepads or dishes. Rad tried to do something to save him but even if he was pretty tough for a young teenager there wasn't anything he could do against adults except get the snot beaten out of him. They tossed him aside and prepared to tear into his parents when he got up and tried to do something, anything that could stop these monsters from hurting the people he loves. That's when a strange sound was heard, it was faint but still echoed clearly through the empty warehouse. Everyone stopped and turned to see one of Rad's hands had become metallic and hollow with what looked like a gear just below his fingers. Confusion swept across the room but to Rad there was nothing but clarity, in that instant he understood the power he'd been born with and that he'd been using some extent of it his whole life. Flicking the gear with his thumb fire erupted from his fingertips and burned at the gangsters. They cursed and swore they were gonna kill him for that and fanned out to take him down. Concentrating and picturing vividly in his mind his fingers turned into needles and shot out with each of them embedding into one of the gangsters. A surge of electricity extended from the wires and electrocuted each of them leaving only the boss left. The boss was in fear of the strange and dangerous quirk he was witnessing. Walking calmly and slowly towards him Rad reverted his body to normal until he was right up on the guy. He told him that if him or any of his thugs ever tried to hurt him or his family again that they'd be the one's to pay the price. Focusing for a moment he turned his arm into a chainsaw and revved it up for good measure to make sure he got his point across. After that him and his family walked out alive and decided they were done with Russia and would move to Japan. It would be the best thing especially since Rad's quirk was so incredible and needed to be looked after properly so he could become someone amazing one day.
Japan was a whole different animal compared to Russia and although he missed his homeland at times he knew this was what was best for him and his parents. Nobody would even try and hurt them here and if they did he'd be more than ready. The concept of a hero school was still fresh and being explored and Rad managed to get himself into it. He wasn't exactly brimming with hope of becoming a hero but he did want to be someone his parents could be proud of and this seemed like the place. He's looking forward to what lies in store for him at this new school and what his life will be like now that he isn't constantly having to look over his shoulder.
