APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Yuka is slightly taller than most women her age yet not by much. Her most noticeable feature would be her eyes which are large and lilac in color, but she has no discernible pupils as oddly enough while they exist they match the overall color of her eyes themselves. She is also very prideful about her hair which is a deep chestnut brown in color that she wears with shorter bangs in the front reaching her chin to frame her face while the rest of her hair which she keeps in a ponytail and reaches her shins. When released from the ponytail her hair while straight almost fully wraps around her upper body.
Her normal outfit consists of a yellow kimono blouse, a traditional long red skirt held closed by a simple white obi. She has multiple versions of this same outfit and the main thing they all have in common are that they're fitted with the same white obi which holds significance to Yuka. In more official meetings she will on occasion switch this outfit up to more business casual wear with an emphasis on the casual as she wears a more eastern style skirt suit combination usually in bright, warm colors
POSITIVE
✔ Affectionate, Confident, Devoted, Generous, Methodical, Self-Disciplined
NEGATIVE
✖ Airy, Conceited, Vain, Opinionated, Tough
LIKES
✔ Evalutions, Her Department, Shopping, Praying, Miko, Pushing Limits
DISLIKES
✖ Enclosed Spaces, Hedonism, Laziness, Criminals, Dragons(!)
Personality:
As ambitious as she is smart Yuka is an amiable individual first and foremost. Her life as a Miko has blessed her with a pleasant disposition as her life out in the country has given her a very folksy way of doing things. Even though she's in such a prestigious government position you wouldn't be able to tell that just by meeting her. She's very informal to those above or below her and treats almost everyone with the same level of kindness in the most casual way possible.
This folksy country attitude can give off the wrong impression that Yuka is lacking on the intellectual side when she is, in fact, extremely competent. She's very methodical in her thought process as her job requires a lot of numerical evaluation and storing information for later use as well as writing reports. For the other part of her job which requires a much more hands-on approach Yuka actually has a lot of self-restraint. Whether she's in arms with someone weaker or stronger than her she is always holding back as a means of evaluation of her target. She also still holds onto her faith from her time as a Miko and as a result, tends to silently pray at different times of the day.
On the other end of the spectrum due to the prestige of her job, she can be a little conceited at times. Judging people constantly for work has carried over into other aspects of her life. She tends to be more opinionated and while she doesn't always say it out loud the wheels are constantly turning as she talks with others. When she gets fired, even if this is rare, her origins from Kansai come out as she begins to speak that dialect instead of the standard Japanese.

HISTORY
Yuka Tsubaki was born in a remote village in the Nara Prefecture as the oldest of three children. Her mother, Aika Tsubaki, was a shinto priestess that was relatively popular in her village and her father Hibiki Tsubaki would travel to the capital from time to time as he was journalist for a big political firm. As a result of being so far away from society as a whole Yuka found herself spending a lot of time with her mother and siblings.
At the young age of 4, the trajectory of her life would radically change as Yuka became the first person in their village history to have a quirk. She discovered this one day when blowing bubbles for fun with the other children in her neighborhood. She discovered that if she focused she breathe out a specific lilac tinted air which upon concentrating she could actually manipulate this further. With all of them having never seen a quirk user before they just thought it some funny parlor trick and Yuka honestly thought the same. For several months this was the norm as Yuka practiced and showed off the tricks she had learned by practicing in her spare time.
This was all fine until one day her mother came early to get her and discovered her little 'tricks' and was very concerned. Due to the general lack of knowledge about quirks especially out in this remote area of the Nara region, they decided that it would be important for her to go with her father into the city to see a doctor. When Yuka did just that the doctor explained to both her and her father that she had a quirk and wanted to do other testing as well. Once she had an X-Ray done he picked up that she had an extra larger organ in her body that was growing at a rate much quicker than her others. After some initial testing on the organ as well as impressive displays of what Yuka could do with her quirk, it was determined that this organ essentially functions as a second lung which was used to give her the unique air-related abilities she had. Although the doctor recommended she learn the limitations of this power in a sage environment her parents weren't exactly fans of her attracting unnecessary trouble and especially not interested in sending her off to some faraway school. So it was decided the Yuka would become a Miko in hopes to distract her from the idea of heroism and playing with her quirk.
From the ages of 5 to 14 Yuka worked alongside her mother as a Miko while receiving schooling from a local who was a former high school teacher. While she wasn't exactly prohibited from using her quirk if she did so in front of her parents they would always give her some sort of speech about 'being responsible' and that 'a power like that wasn't something to play around with' and yet this didn't stop her from practicing in secret to learn how to use her quirk effectively.
Around her 15th birthday, Yuka would come face to face with other quirk users for the first time. A small gang from china named Anzui had decided to move their operations from a larger city in china to the outskirts of Japan in order to have more power so that they could eventually expand into Japan. At first, they approached the village with an offer of peace by claiming they just wanted to use some of their resources and would provide labor in return. This act lasted less than a year as the gang started to take more and do less as time went by and whenever anyone would object they would make subtle threats which eventually evolved into full-on threats of violence. Their leader Tengshe was easily the most powerful of the small group and he himself would use his transformation quirk which allowed him to turn into an eastern style dragon to intimidate and harm anyone that got in his way.
Yuka who had developed a grudge against this gang for the way they treated her and her village family would focus less on her duties as a Miko and more on learning the combat applications of her own quirk. She wanted nothing more than to run these people out of town and become the protector of her village. After a year of suffering in silence, Yuka was finally ready to take a run at these criminals and do so with extreme diligence. There were about 10 members of this gang and one by one she would cause the slightest of accidents to happen to make sure they weren't in fighting form for her eventual confrontation with their leader. This ranged from something collapsing on them causing some broken bones to get sick by eating bad food. Not the most honorable of ways to do things, but given that they had deceived everyone and made their lives a nightmare she felt no pity.
When the time had come she challenged the leader to a one on one which he almost immediately rebuked and wanted his gang to take care of her. Since she had already injured most of them with a solid few attacks using her quirk they were effectively out of commission, but not before calling her "Julong" fearfully which made their leader Tengshe seethe in anger. Resolved now to reduce their village to ash he transformed into his dragon state and began to rampage. It was at this point that his massive size and rampage had attracted some heroes who happened to be taking a vacation in the countryside at the time and they sprung into action to keep the damage to a minimum. Yuka who initially was hesitant about joining the fight threw all that away once Tengshe threatened to specifically destroy her family.
Performing a rather impressive feat for someone so young Yuka used her powers to hold Tengshe in place as the heroes attacked and eventually brought him to the ground wherein the chaos he managed to fatally wound himself by landing on a sharp boulder sticking out of the mountainside. As he laid dying he cursed Yuka, her family, village, and the heroes claiming that if given the chance he would claim his revenge on all of Japan. Impressed by her abilities, resolve, and wit the hero association recommended that Yuka come to Tokyo to realize her own potential. After much back and forth her parents finally conceded and let her follow whatever path she wanted to.
She spent the next few years taking aptitude tests and getting enrolled in a public school to finish her education and furthering her abilities in a more official capacity as her service in taking down Tengshe alongside the other heroes didn't go unnoticed. A few months after she turned 19 she was approached by the National Public Safety Commission with a job offer in the Surveillance and Tactics Division. She eagerly accepted the offer and even though she's relatively new in the organization she shows a lot of promise.
