APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Appearance is something that Nao takes great pride and care in, and as such, there is never a moment where she will think 'eh, good enough'; every day must be greeted with a properly groomed and decorated appearance, with some aesthetic. Not even popping out of the room to say hey is acceptable; one must not be seen until they look their best!
Nao doesn't follow any particular aesthetic permanently; she's been goth, punk, ganguro, crossdressed (possible, even for her), menhara, and almost everything else you can think of! Sometimes she follows the fashion trends of the week, but most often Nao will just find a particular aesthetic, fall in love with it, and be obsessed with it for a few weeks before moving on to something else. What she ends up obsessed with is entirely unpredictable; you're better off trying to guess the lottery numbers.
Even when alone, all in her house relaxing, all of her house wear amounts to robes or other temporary clothes untils he can put an outfit on. She doesn't just dress for others, she dresses for her. Still though, if there's one aesthetic that she tends to fall back on, it would be the 'questionable backalley surgeon that probably doesn't have a license" vibe with a hint of punk.

If there is one word that can sum up Nao Kumagai, it is 'fashionista'; even those that just barely know him know him as a character that is vain, very opinionated, and absolutely, completely obsessed with the study and practice of whatever fashion types he can get his hands on, and always on the search for even more. At absolutely no point is he ever even seen in a state anything less than fully dressed, makeup applied, and everything prim and proper, unless whatever his fashion-obsession-of-the-week happens to involve looking less.
Her humor is quite powerful, too, the word 'gadfly' easily comes to mind when most of her humor involves the (playful) expense of someone else, such as purposely creeping someone out juuuust a little bit, spreading a false rumor of Red Horn, or simply saying something so strange and unexpected it makes even the most stoic balk.
Regardless, despite being a little shaky in the morality department, and willing to serve anyone that doesn't attack her AND keep their identity a secret, she's a genuinely good person... for the most part, at least. If she possibily qualifies as a villain, it's certainly not due to her pacifistic nature.

Nao Kumagai's life is something he keeps very close to his chest, little is known about him. What he has mentioned is that the Kumagai family were traditionally tailors, and that his father was absentminded and often poked more holes in his hands than in cloth, and that his mother is supposedly trying to develop a new type of resistant cloth for the new heroes. Nao, however, while retaining an interest in the tailoring business, discovered that his quirk could go beyond that. An interest in fashion and aesthetics, for him, grew far beyond, even briefly going into an interest in cosmetic surgery before he discovered that his quirk could be used on other people as much as himself.
Discovering that felt like a world slowly opening for Nao, so he devoted as much time into researching his quirk as possible, even despite the illegality of doing so. Interest in tailoring, cosmetic surgery, body modification, and the biomanipulation of his quirk, he researched tirelessly, using some people as guinea pigs for his research (finding less guilt in it when his effects were temporary), until, after years of research, he was able to break away from his family, creating a business which he called the Subtle Morph, a tattoo/body modificiation/tailor parlor that is open to this day.
