One second roaring towards the two targets of her frustration like a rocket, the next her arm had been absorbed into the arms of Nimue, the woman holding back her momentum with strength she didn't expect, especially in her own rageful state. She felt like she could tear through anything, anyone, but here Nimue was holding her back, and even holding the general sense of calm and restraint to whisper her name back to her trying to calm her down... but Mia was long gone. Feet from here was the little rat that had been bothering her for a couple city blocks now, and the bitch who'd kicked her in the face like a launch pad! She just needed to get to them. Even recognizing Nimue. The help she'd given her...
She wrenched her arm from Nimue with enough force to at least stagger her, and in the same instant her free arm reared back to strike Nimue with a firm blow. But the interuptions kept coming. The raging beast let out a grunt of frustration as she dropped to her knee with a sharp jab coming to the back of it, she tried to whirl around to find the source, but by the time she did she felt something to her front, then her back, and with growing frustration lengths of scales wrapped around her torso and her shoulders, roaring out in a more restrained tone as she focused her struggle on trying to fight against this. Serperior had one thing going for him, even if Mia was stronger than him, his ability to wrap around her so fully definitely let him hold his own for a moment while this mindless beast tried to figure out how to wiggle free. Briefly her eyes flashed to Nimue, showing that she was still very much set on punching those soft features off her face, before glaring back to the snake lingering over her shoulder.
As he reared back and opened his maw wide, she lurched towards him as best she could, letting her rage out in a roar, her own tusk filled maw coming as close to matching his as it possibly could. And then came the fangs.
her skin was tough, rough, and felt dry against Serperior's tongue. Like licking a rock. Still his fangs managed to break the surface and he could feel his venom filling her bloodstream. Mia could feel it too, hissing through her teeth for a brief moment... before her rageful glare turned to an almost gleeful grin from behind her tusks. The veins in her neck and her shoulder bulged as her body burned against the paralytic in her system. It held some effect in her arm, but the other seemed more than ready. With a harsh swing she gave herself enough room to move as she rose to her feet, grasping at the edge of his tail and starting to wrench him from her body. Every turn he'd took around her body pulled in reverse as he ripped her tail out of her crevices like a beyblade chord, spinning about as she did, any distance her arm couldn't cover pulled instead by the momentum of her spin, slamming down the bothersome snake like the waterpipe from before, chuckling in a deep, dim-witted tone as she rose back up. She glanced to her other arm, punching at her shoulder, but it remained limp at her side, growling in frustration.
Annoying. A pain... at least it didn't feel like that arm was burning right now. It would come back. She could feel it coming back... but it was relief. Sweet, yet annoying, relief.
Didn't last. Why wouldn't they leave her alone...!
a bright light burst into her eyes and what little conscious sense of her surroundings Mia still had behind the rage was now blurred beyond belief. She heard noise, bursts of it. It sounded familiar. It sounded... oddly reassuring. The conscious mind of Mia felt at ease behind the rage.
Then it hurt.
Everything hurt.
Oh GOD IT HURT!!!!
Conscious mind and raging beast where in agreement. EVERYTHING WAS PAIN. Mia's horn had lost it's hard outer casing when she'd turned fully red, so where once only it's small scar had been Mia's weakpoint, the entire thing was like one large raw bundle of nerves. To Jaz's full forced grasp it'd feel like a series of muscles, noodly yet firm, wrapped in a gooey membrane that was burning hot to the touch. Where normally Mia may have tensed and fumbled like struck in a funny bone, the raging beast reared back, letting out an unholy screech from the base of it's throat. It's dead arm continued to hang limp at it's side, while it wildly swung the other, flinging it's weight about, every blast Jasmine made behind her off-centre thanks to her constant turning and just making the sudden burst of rampaging fury all the more hectic and off balance, the beast slamming herself purposely into walls, slamming into lampposts, ANYTHING to get this THING off her horn!
Despite the rampage though, Jaz clearly hit the buzzer here. Mia was FAR less focused than her already mindless state had shown to be, and even as her other arm started to wake up, all she could focus on was trying to reach for the ashen blonde on her back gripping onto her horn. Not only that, but with each bout of attempts to get her off, she seemed to be losing steam.
With the ambulance saved and the goon handed off, Freya would return to Jasmine riding Mia like a bull, Nimue tossed aside, Serperior slammed onto his back, and a lot more damage to the buildings in Mia's immediate area as she tried to wrench Jasmine off of her.

She ran forward, hoping that Jasmine would keep up but she wouldn't underestimate the student. The reason why she brought her along was that finally, Nimue had recognized the girl that used to be golden blonde, where the hell had she been and how was she here now. Another student, but if she knew the weak point of Mia and making any progress that they had not done, then by all means, as long as she listened and was safe. She heard Mikhail and she wanted to almost roll her eyes but she had a focus, first, she thought he might not hear her but she had heard him loud and clear over the intercom. "Tell me something I don't know Mikhail. I have researched Mia's blood, what we are doing isn't working, it's making matters worse. I will tell you when I found a better solution though." The aggravation, the adrenaline, everything that would be more released into her blood would make it redder and more everything, this would not work, but she had no other solution. Knocking Mia out could be the only solution but how? And she would try one more time to get Mia to go back to herself. She had promised the number one that she would do so, that she would protect her.
But the blocking her off didn't help long enough as she was smacked aside and rolled over the road before finally coming to a stop. God that hurt. She was glad that Iwayo had taken most of the damage and it had just been a roll of momentum. She did look up to Serperior's action and to be fair that might work, she did not know enough about any of the others, they should have a list of weaknesses but was that even possible and what if it came in the hands of someone else? She looked up, glad Freya did something for the others, she had to get up, now that wasn't even that difficult, her stomach and especially her side where Mia had hit her only felt sore. But when she staggered to get towards Red Horn again, she noticed Jasmine and the ravage the two of them were making now and she hesitated to get in. Well, at least her instincts about Jasmine had been right... right?
"Now what?" If only the girl had an intercom and could say something about what they should do, but depending on a student, that was something too. "any brilliant ideas now?" That did not include kicking people in the face, she did not want the others to think she felt superior, because she did not, she literally had not the slightest idea. How could they knock Mia out, could Mikhail hit her perfectly on the side of her face, at the temple because that was one way to knock out a person. She clicked her spear together as it had been strapped to her belt (not the nicest landing spot) "Maybe we can knock her out with a good hit to the temple, cuz I don't have any other ideas." Smacking her constantly to the ground wasn't working either and no one would agree if she would say they should wait for Jasmine to finish but that was what she wanted. It would only bring possible more disaster and so on.
She would do whatever the other two indicated that would be a plan that she could agree with. But right now, she wasn't sure what would be a good strategy, if this at least worked to make Mia be vulnerable and her blood to turn the red away, the red hot anger that is, then surely fighting her wouldn't make it better but knocking her out might be a thing?

Serperior’s blood was pounding in his ears, the hot, delicious haze of combat wrapped around his vision. This was why he did it. The thrill of wrestling down a raging bull. The feeling of twisting muscle on his skin, of death just a few seconds away. Twin hearts, pounding in sync. Skin under his jaws. He wanted to snarl back at the taunts and jabs from Hellhound, but his mouth was full. It just made his blood burn hotter. Could he actually overheat from this? Could he--
Strong!
“Just. Go. Down.” He hissed, rearing back to bite again, but she lurched, and then he felt a hand curl around his tail, and a cold knife cut through his gut. Panic.
Serperior tried to cling to Mia as the hand started to wrench him off. His nails cut grooves in her skin, a surge of pain going through his body as muscle fought muscle and lost. Tighter. He could do it. He could beat the number one. He could be perfect. Better. He--
He felt a burning pain on his fingertips.
Then he came loose.
The impact to the ground was almost unnecessary, a bookend to his failure. All the same, it hurt.
God, it hurt.
He felt a thousand burning spikes of pain go through his body as he slammed into the pavement, before his body went numb, brain mercifully trying to shield itself from the amount of damage he’d just taken. Little floating lights flashed in front of his eyes, like fireworks, more brilliant than the flash of police lights from the cordon.
His brain was slow and sludgy, almost like it was punishing him. He’d talked a big game, and now, here he lay, unable to deliver on his boasts. Aim at the king, best not miss, and all that. A distant tickle in his ears was all he heard of Witch Doctor’s retort. Hopefully, it was something angry, not useful.
“Ssssecond.” He slurred into the headset. Oh. That wasn’t com protocol, though everything he knew of radio etiquette came from the internet. Maybe they’d realize how much he was faking, now. That’d be a relief. He could just lie there while they took care of everything.
No. I'm better than that.
Embarrassments healed. Reputations were harder to mend. It was one thing to be haughty, or disagreeable, and another thing entirely to be both those things and fail. Mikhail might be a failure. Serperior was not a failure.
He blinked the dirt out of his blurry eyes, and sucked in a lungful of sweet, sweet air, and raised his head.
It felt like a world-shattering amount of effort.
Freya was on the ambulance. Professional enough to do that, at least. Nimue was holding back, but since his brain has just managed to parse her...reply, he pieced together she’d come around to restraining Redhorn being the best option. And…
Hanging from Redhorn’s horn was a voice Serperior hadn’t managed to pick out of the annoyance slung at him while he was wrestling Redhorn.
Jasmine Noir. Class 3-A, his brain filled in automatically. Redhorn’s protege, a rebel, a troublemaker, absentee for nearly half a year, prime vigilante material.
Still a student. Still a teenager. Another person to get hurt, another way for Serperior to fail.
She’d broken Redhorn’s horn, somehow--Shouldn’t that be strong?--and was hanging off, desperately riding the tiger.
If you let go, you get eaten.
Heroes did not fail.
“...As a matter of fact…” Serperior croaked into his microphone, finally answering Nimue. His voice was a cool simmer--their squabble not forgotten, but upstaged by the hit he’d taken, and the presence of a student in danger. “I may.”
Mikhail swallowed a deep breath, and some of his pride, raising himself to a “sitting” position. His head spun. The effort seemed unbearable.
“Reckless, but effective, Miss Noir. I wish you’d pointed that out to one of us. Try to allow yourself to get thrown off, and recover with your Quirk. You may have revealed the key to this."
Serperior looked at Nimue, swallowing again.
“Her horn is exposed. It seems very sensitive. Do not engage her in melee. Just...act like the speed villain did. Strike her horn, to goad her, let her chase you, then trade off to another hero. Tire her out. Don’t get hit."
To prove his point, Serperior rose up the rest of the way, shaky, but not out yet. He swallowed, forcing himself to move. To be an example. The best. His staff was missing, but…
Well, what was right here, but a broken-down lamppost?
Serperior reached down, grabbing it, first in his hands--blood was streaming from his nails, he noticed, or rather, from where his nails had been, and winced. He transferred it to his tail. Better reach. Less pain.
Then with a motion like an uncoiling whip, he swung the broken lampost at Redhorn’s horn, very carefully trying not to strike Jasmine. He wanted to help her escape. Not flatten her.
“Jump! Miss Noir! Who's up after me?”

Freya arrived back just in time to see that the situation has gotten worse in the time that she was gone. What with Nimue knocked to the side, the kid on her head and striking at her horn and old Snake Eyes eating a nasty hit. It was a lot to take in as she flew in and landed a few feet away from the action. ‘Good, looks like I made it just in time’, taking stance as she got ready to kick her way in.
But she wanted to fly in and do her usual but the situation got more dire by the second as she couldn't find a good window to fly in. ‘Think, Freya think,’ she said in her mind as she started to notice something was up with Redhorn. The kid must have done something because that horn is not as it once was before...or that was a case because she never paid attention to that detail.’Hmmm come to think of it, that would be an obvious weak point if this were one of those games….and from what the kid is doing its working.’, her quirk activates as she starts to gather her energy and begins letting off a jet of fire that slowly builds up in power as Freya keeps her feet anchored to the ground.”Devils Engine blasting off in 3...2….”, she counted down in her mind as her flames got more intense until the ground around her began to crumble from the heat.
“OI KID, BEST GET OUT OF THE WAY AND OFF HER HEAD, I'M ABOUT TO LET HER HAVE IT!”, she yelled out as she let the force of her jets blast her forward. If she didn't get off in time, the force of her hit will send her flying off due to how fast she was going but she can deal with the issues after everything is done with.
At that same time, Serperior’s plan was set in motion as he made an impromptu weapon out of a fallen lamppost as he was aiming to do the same as her. Which sparked an idea in her head as she got closer and closer. Her fist and fire plus the force of that could work, well the word could be moot at this point as she was flying at rapid speeds at a raging red heroine that was angrier than an old man having a losing streak at the slots. ‘OI SERPY, LET ME HELP YOU WITH THAT”, she screamed out loud as she winded up for a ignited straight with her right arm. “HELLFIRE BRANDING!”, the fist made contact with the lamp post and became a greater force as a result. The fire increased its velocity as she first made contact with the lamp post which added to its momentum as well. So what she had was a jet of flames sending the side of a metal pipe aimed at Red Horns..horn. It was crazy but it was also an option she can think of as she slammed into Mia.
But with all of that force, of course she came to a sudden stop as she made contact. Freya used her free hand to change her direction yet again in mid air and grabbed Jaz while Mia was hopefully dazed from the hit.. Landing a few feet away, her body was smoking from the flames as she took a knee. “You’re one crazy kid to try that sort of stunt….and I like that sort of guts”, she said as she tried to contain the pained expression on her face as she overheated her body a bit to punch her friend in the face. But she needs a moment to cool down as this fight was not over in the slightest.
“Oi Witch Doctor, you have any ideas on how to calm her ass down if we can’t knock her out? Like Tranq darts or chains or a vaccine or anything...because I have a feeling whatever we did is going to piss her off even more!”, she said as she got back into her boxing stance. Smoke was coming off her body as the increased quirk output burned some of her costume off as she made contact. Her look was rather ragged and damaged but she was still kicking.

Aw fuck!, Jasmine cursed internally, wondering how she had gotten involved in this whole charade in the first place. The second her fingers firmly clasped Mia's horn, all hell broke loose. The woman began howling like a pained beast, violently thrashing around with reckless abandon. Before the ashen wolf even had the chance to wrap her brain around the on-going situation her entire body was whipped aside, forcing her to readjust in the air to the best of her ability. The only chance for her to stay upright was to do something she felt was incredibly stupid and rash, but it was the only thing she could come up with. She refused to let go of the crazed pro hero's horn, growling as she pulled herself closer. Firecrackers danced in the air as Jasmine employed her quirk, releasing miniature explosions from her limbs to correct her position. The soles of her sneakers planted themselves against Mia's shoulders while both of Jasmine's hands held her horn for dear life, trying to stay on top of the Oni to the best of her ability. As she held on, Jasmine had to admit: she really started to hate merry-go-rounds. "Damn it, Mia! I know you can hear me through that thick skull of yours!" She hissed as she struggled to both hold on and dodge both Red Horn's massive arms trying to pull her off and the remnants of any buildings almost crashing down on her every time the Oni decided she didn't like the decor. Trying to hold Mia down with her little makeshift tactic was a bitch, but she could tell it was working. Gradually, as slow as it was, Jasmine could tell the Oni's gas stand was beginning to run out. If she could just hold on for a little while longer...! Where were the pros? This would be the perfect time to try and subdue-
Her eyes very quickly went wide both with shock and anger.
You fucking-! Using all of her might, Jasmine pulled Mia's horn sideways, forcing her to narrowly avoid the flaming lamp post aimed for Mia's horn. With so many things going wrong at the same time, the ashen haired American hadn't even noticed Hellhound grabbing her in an attempt to yoink her away. Cursing, the would-be student let go of Mia's horn before landing onto the ground harshly, yet quickly kicking herself back up.
Freya's words made her whip her head around and glare at the pro fiercely, hellfire eyes mixing with the golden flame beginning to encompass her hair through sheer rage, "Are you trying to fucking kill her?!" She roared out angrily, a vein seemingly popping on her temple. Oh this is going to be rich coming from me, "Aren't you her friend?! Stop and think for a goddamn second before you go in fists blazing! The first time didn't help and neither did this! Get your shit together!" And to make matters worse this loose cannon still wanted to keep going! Jasmine tried pulling on what remained of Freya's clothes angrily, hoping to yoink her backwards and stop her in her tracks. "Cool your jets already, damn it! We need to get a proper plan going and work as a team!"
"Serperior! Which Doctor!" She called out to the other two pros in the area, vivid crimson eyes darting towards them. "Do not try to strike the horn!" Jasmine warned aloud as she braced herself, later watching Mia's every move as the Oni would probably start to recover. "That whole thing is a massive bundle of nerves! For all we know it might be connected to her brain and fucking it up could leave her with brain damage!"
Think, Jasmine. Think! "While I was squeezing it I could feel Mia getting a little weaker bit by bit! That's how we do this! Weaken and restrain her!" Given the situation, Jasmine could only look directly towards Nimue. Based on what she'd seen from the three pro heroes present, Nimue seemed like the only one who genuinely gave a damn about Mia. Freya probably did too but her reckless way of going about things was only going to make matters worse. And Serperior... she didn't know enough about him to make a proper judgment. "You guys really need to stop going in solo. I'm sure none of you three will accept me telling what you what to do, so Witch Doctor! Take command already! Use me too! Might as well help while I'm here!" With any luck the four of them would be able to coordinate their next move properly... otherwise this whole damn district might be going up in flames.
--------------------
- Jasmine made Mia dodge Serperior and Freya's combined attack - Was pulled out of the fray by Freya, yelled at her to get her shit together and tried to stop her from attacking again - Advised the pro heroes that Mia's horn is all nerves and attacking it might turn Mia into a vegetable - Informed that by holding her horn Jaz could feel Mia getting a little weaker. Suggested that that's how they restrain her - Asked Nimue to take command and start a coordinated move from all four of them, stating that them going in solo one by one is not going to work.

The lot of them were starting to get the right idea but the teamwork left something to be desired. Jasmine had given the lot of them her weakness, though perhaps somewhat more Mia's fault than hers given she'd refused to go down after the initial grab at her horn, rampaging left and right in a frantic attempt to get the ashen blonde off of her head. Nimue refrained from action not wanting to harm her friend, a fair choice, but as Serperior came up with a clever plan to finally exhaust the beast, it seemed to fall on deaf ears as Freya entirely misunderstood the concept, blasting in full force in a way that would only bring more rage out in the Red Oni.
A blow from the lampost, Serperior playing it smart and remaining at range, could have been the start of a great kiting strategy, but Freya blasting in at close range when the tiring beast was becoming more and more desperate was a poor move. Jasmine was given the chance to leap off, or more accurately, was knocked off from the combination of the blows, but a sharp grasp from the raging beast had her holding on tight to Hellhound's Ankle. Freya's own attempts to escape would have pulled her body tight, and likely made it all the more painful at her hip when Mia tugged back against it, yanking Freya into the air infront of her, and with all the might she had slammed a fist down into Freya's torso, with enough force that it cracked the tarmac for meters around them, sign fixtures of local stores rattling as the micro quake made the street shudder with the force exerted.
The beast wasn't even done. The throbbing in her forehead was still agonizing... she could feel a lethargy all throughout her body where her muscles had grown so tight in her moment of agony, but that just made her want to hurt in turn. As Freya likely tried to catch her breath as every last drop was forced out of her, the raging monster slammed it's foot down upon her, burying her deeper into the tarmac and stretching out her arms, bellowing once again a mighty roar aimed out towards the sky.
The time for talk was long since gone. Mia was weakened, she was feeling tired. She was feeling slow... but the rage itself was greater than ever, and slowly the adrenaline was filling her blood again, veins pulsing down her forearms and up along her biceps, breathing heavily for a moment as she caught herself from her roar. Reaching down, she'd take the arm of her friend, oblivious to the destruction she'd already wrought on her body. She'd swing about in a circle, before tossing Freya's aching form out towards Jasmine herself, showing that even if she was in there somewhere, she was buried deep enough not to care who she was hurting at this point.
But she wasn't done. Now Mia wanted to hurt everyone. Her motions were a little slower, her breaths heavier and deeper, filling her lungs with each rather than just trying to push out the heat welling up inside of her. Her once paralyzed arm livened up at her side, reaching out and taking a lampost of her own, dragging it out of place with pavement still attatched to the base, and with a mighty swing crossed the street, attempting to take out both Serperior and Nimue in a single motion.
By now the street had long since been evacuated, and while still able to put up a fight, Mia was on her way to a lethargic end. Assuming the heroes weren't done in first...

She felt a slight twang in her own vein. Seriously... thanks for appreciating her opinion, really. She would not stay too far away but watch what the two were doing, after all, they weren't listening to her and they did not seem to want to have her idea or something. What would work though to calm down Mia enough? If it was the horn they would needed that. She heard her name and quickly ducked away from the lamppost, oh look at that and she watched Jasmine and Freya and had to restrain herself to roll her eyes. Indeed, the solo actions were over and she needed to see what to do. "I am thinking Freya but let's go with the first plan." Her attention turned to Serperior, "I need you to strain her legs, make sure she cannot move if we manage to get her to a wall again, I will focus on pushing her upper body against it, straining her arms if you Serperior could hold her legs, Freya, take the horn, like-like... Like the girl said." She had no idea at this point anymore what Jasmine her hero alias had been, "Don't strike it, just hold it down to lower Red's... whatever it is. I will try to think if I got some Tranquillizer but at this moment I think it is better to give her a cold shower." But of course they only had firepower with them.
If they all agreed, she would nod to them that she would go first, that was their plan. She would slam her in the next best thing she could find, "Jaz," better than giving a full name right? Nimue was too afraid of such thing and imagine, the Painter was around somewhere too. "Tell me immediately if we do something wrong, I want you to make sure you are safe but you have the most personal information that will help us." She knew Serperior had tried to smack Mia's knee and maybe the venom helped already slightly but now they had to do what's best. Her eyes lighted up bright blue again and she nodded to herself, alright... go on. She gripped in her sprint a front point of her spear and one more at the end and held it front of her, if she managed to get it right it would be about the wide of Mia's shoulders and she jumped up to pushed the spear against the taller woman her shoulders and smack her arms behind the bars too. Talking would have no use to Red Horn at this moment, she had already realized that the moment she was smacked away and her blue eyes just kept focusing on her job, she would have to put the whole of Mia's upper body and all against the wall. Hm, that meant she had no immediate hand free to grab any tranquillizer. The question was also if it helped, "Now!" She said out loud in the seconds after she reached Mia and pushed her. Maybe she could get Jasmine to look for it in her medical kit if she managed to hold on this, with her spear she might have more of the abilities then just holding Mia down by her wrist. She froze when she repeated Freya's words in her mind, this however did not make her lose her might, she pushed her shoulder harder against Mia. Vaccine? Why did it look like Mia got a drug that made her go crazy? It was probably because she had been so focused on M.A.R.I.N.E. that made her mind go crazy.

Serperior was still quietly fuming to himself as he fought. Honestly, Hellhound’s brute force approach was only to be expected--he didn’t begrudge her for it. It was swift and decisive, and at least an attempt to cooperate, even if it carried the risk of maiming Redhorn. What bothered him more was the (ex)-student barking orders, and trying to put Witch Doctor in command, and worse yet, Witch Doctor bowing to it.
Yes. Clearly, this is the correct chain of responsibility. The teenager gives orders to the hesitant doctor, who then instructs me on a new plan.
It certainly made his decision to focus on his own defense easier--he probably could have reached out with his tail to catch Hellhound as she went flying toward Noir, but frankly? It got them both out of the way for a bit.
Which helped him focus on the fight.
Still angry, but less cocky, and Redhorn was tiring. She’d grabbed the lamppost, and was swinging it like a club. Witch Doctor dodged (Smart? Selfish?), but Serperior didn’t--not entirely. He let it clip him, folding around it, coughing a painful breath as all the air wooshed out of his lungs.
Take the pain. Bend. Don’t break.
He grounded his coil, and yanked, trying to disarm Mia, pull her off balance. This was a dance now--he’d gotten cocky, he’d rushed in--now he needed to be alert, use everything.
Including allies. But not rely. Dance like a boat in a storm, bobbing above the tide.
Witch Doctor darted in, meeting Redhorn strength for strength, and Serperior quickly adjusted to move in tandem, wresting the post from Redhorn’s grip as she was forced to let go.
Pin the legs? Last time I grappled her, she ripped off my nails.
“If you want cold water, there’s a hydrant right there. Snap the valve, pull her head down.” Serperior hissed dryly, trying to keep his tone professional. He couldn’t afford to get back to snapping at them. He’d gone too far, that much was true. “If you need tranquilizer--
Serperior slithered forward--instead of binding Redhorn’s legs, he simply wrapped part of his coil around the knee he’d hit, wrenching it down. He could control nearly her entire lower body with it--dislocate it, twist it, but…
He’d damned if he was going to end this fight holding Redhorn’s feet still.
Serperior rose up, darting in at Redhorn’s bicep--the other one, not the one on the side he’d bit. With Witch Doctor’s lock, it was open and exposed.
“--Give me some credit." He finished, before diving in to sink his teeth in along the artery.
He didn’t actually know how many bites it took for his venom to run dry, but now was as good a time as any to find out.

As Freya was about to rethink her strats and jump away with the student in hand, she felt a familiar power suddenly grabbing at her. It all happened so quickly that she didn't have enough time to process as she felt the Big Red Oni grab her ankle and then she braced herself for what was coming. Time seemed to slow down as she was about to get what was coming to her. She saw her fist coming at her easy and all Freya could think was to activate her quirk to propel herself towards the floor to lessen the impact. “This is gonna hurt”, she thought as the punch made an impact. The ground shaking underneath her as she felt the ground around her began to crack and create a crater.
“Just….grit your teeth and...hang on”
She grit her teeth and kept her consciousness as she knew that things would only get worse before they got better if she knocked out now. But she wasn't done as she felt Mias foot slam into her chest as she was pushed deeper into the floor. If it weren't for her hero suit, she would be in a hell lot of more trouble physically as hoped that she doesn't stomp down one more time. Pain was immense as she felt pressure all around her body, she can tell that at least a few bones were fractured or broken from it but she can't exactly tell with the immense rush of excitement she was feeling. But then she felt her arm being tugged once more as she felt her form thrown towards then way of the kid.
“Damn...lucky..she chose to throw away her food rather than finish”
She joked as she activated her quirk and let the flame cape stop her momentum midair as she landed on the floor. Her suit was dented and messed up on the ankle and chest and she cant feel her left arm as she landed on the ground. Taking a moment to readjust, she knelt on the floor in pain. But she shot back up as she forced a feeling back into her arm punching herself.
The kids' words did wake her up as she was mostly doing things her way for the most part. She spat out some blood as she turned to look at the kid. “Yo, Kid. Thanks for that.”, she replied as she turned her attention back to Red Horn, her eyes burning bright in anticipation. She heard Nimues plan and of course she was all in on it since she knows the deal now.”You asking me to grab a big red horn on the second date? I’d blush but you got it”, she joked as she took a stance.
“Three...two...one”, she counted down as she saw Nimue and Serpy start to hold down the Red Giant.”LETS GO”, she exclaimed as she blasted herself forward as her flames ignited and propelled her towards the head of Mia. “Hold onto the horn and don't let go, don't damage and all is solve itself”, she thought to herself as she got closer and closer until she was in range of grabbing the horn. Her hands quickly moved to grab the obvious horn as she proceeded to squeeze it little by little as she got on her shoulders. Her free hand is grasping at her head to stay on while her right hand holds the horn. She looked to Nimue as she did her job and then looked to Jaz.
“So, what do we do now? Any needles or I just squeeze her horn until she gets sleepy?”, eyes darting back and forth as she held on for dear life.

If there was one thing Jasmine Noir hated with a passion, it's when she and her gut feeling disagreed. Her instincts were viciously screeching at her to jump into the fray and assist and there was no way she could stand there and pretend that being relegated to the sidelines was anything other than deflating. Nimue made it clear, though -- stay behind me and do as I say, no matter what I say. The lioness of two years ago would have very likely belayed that order as soon as it was given. The wolf, however, had chosen to listen to her elders and only assist if they needed it.
They're licensed pro heroes. They know what they are doing, Jasmine kept telling herself, holding herself back despite being at the ready to jump in at a moment's notice. Trusting others was still a pretty foreign concept to the American and she couldn't lie and say it felt good -- it felt horrible, especially when she was made to feel like she was somehow inferior and useless. That's, at least, how her gut processed it... even if she could well enough deduce that they were likely excluding her for her own safety.
Keen eyes watched the scene unfold before her after she nodded to Freya once the woman had gotten back up on her feet. It seemed like the vocal lashing from prior had managed to kick the three pros into gear to some extent. They were now working in tandem with one another and despite it being little more than patchwork, they were able to synchronize their next maneuvers fairly well. While Witch Doctor was matching Red horn's strength with her own abilities, the surprisingly durable Serperior had locked Mia's injured leg and sunk his sharp teeth into her bicep. Freya, now finally beginning to match herself with the rhythm created by the other two, held a firm grip on Mia's horn much alike how Jasmine had prior.
A small smile tickled at Jasmine's lips -- this might actually work!
There wouldn't be much time for the wolf to admire the view. It seemed like the three of them were still missing something, and while a cold shower likely wasn't going to help all too much, a tranquilizer seemed like a surefire way to get Mia to settle. "On it!" Jasmine called out as she darted forward, sliding over to Witch Doctor in a crouch. The medicinal kit on the emerald haired woman's hip was the target and Jasmine snuck into it while trying not to get in her way.
Tranquilizer... tranquilizer... she hummed to mentally as she rummaged through the kit's contents. Having been living together with a nurse's apprentice for over a year, Jasmine had a good idea of how one was supposed to look and work and as a result it didn't take her long to find what she was looking for. A singular syringe filled with liquid. She nodded to herself before looking up and narrowing her eyes.
Gritting her teeth, Jasmine added her own strength into the mix, slamming her shoulder against the side of Mia's chest that hadn't been covered by Witch Doctor. Her heels pushed against the ground as the wolf added no small measure of her own strength into the combined effort of the three pro heroes, all while she removed the safety cap off of the syringe with her teeth and spat it out. "Hang in there, Red. We've got you!" she said before slamming the needle straight into Mia's chest and pushing the drug into Red Horn's system through the syringe.
With any luck this would be enough to knock the Oni out. Together with Serperior's venom, that'd likely amount to enough tranquilizer to knock out a goddamn rhino.
---------------- TL;DR - Jasmine had hung back, watching - Darted towards the scene at the mention of a tranq - Took one from Nimue's medicinal kit - Slammed her own shoulder against Mia's chest and began to try to push her back
- Injected the tranquilizer, is still trying to help the pros hold her

Mia’s attacks felt satisfying, yet unfulfilling. Like a Chinese buffet she briefly felt a hefty weight in the metaphorical hunger for battle that she now felt, but she knew it’d only be seconds, maybe less before she was hungering for more. She had taken out a good chunk of her fury for Freya’s earlier actions on the woman herself, panting and heaving with each breath as she tried to continue her onslaught on those around her. A wide sweep of a lamppost signalling the start of the beasts undoing, as Nimue found her way about the attack safely, while snake boy did all he could to set Mia up for the fall.
Even with the hold of a titan on her lamppost, a single palm didn’t exactly compare to the coiling of a whole tail, Mia wrenched off balance with an annoyed growl and a sharp glare pointed towards her scaley adversary, about to roar in his direction and declare him her new target of the moment, only for Nimue and Freya to take advantage of her situation and begin to force her back into their trap, so to speak. Nimue was no slouch in her own right, and caught off Guard Mia staggered backwards from her shove before digging her heels in. She tried her hardest to compete if only for a moment, before Freya burst into the fray, forcing more weight into her upper body and easily bringing Mia slamming her back into the wall behind her, Nimue’s efforts to pin her arms quickly joined by a slithery sensation wrapping about her leg, and the weight of Freya trying to handle her upper torso.
“GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!”
Roaring out in Freya’s face, Mia wasn’t going down without a fight, even if she very much wanted to on some level. She pushed and forced back against the speer pinning her arms across her chest. A sharp pain in her bicep limiting her ability to do so. Even with the hollow gaze of her golden eyes in this form Orlov could tell he was getting one hell of a glare, but as Mia’s arm went numb the pathetic flinching of her hand was all she could muster from his sider to reach for him. With another bellowing screech at this point, she put all her strength into her other side, veins bulging and muscle throbbing as she tried to fight against the spear pinning her. The weapon just starting to creak and strain as Mia tried to reach for someone to deliver some form of pain to, when Freya and Jaz delivered the final blows.
A final screech that didn’t seem to end came as Freya’s full might grasped down on her horn and Mia’s head slammed back into the wall behind her, her body trying to flail and thrash but to no avail as pain flowed through every inch of her body. The way the team held her back doing even more to tire her out as her body’s instinctive motions had nowhere to go. It would be a damn struggle to hold her back, but as her body began to tire, with paralyzing venom in her system, and a needle ramming tranquilizer into her chest. Mia would slowly start to calm
With pulsing motions, her muscles began to shrink. The red coloration becan to fade from her more prominent veins outward, her body calming as she slowly slumped against the wall. The natural colors returning to her eyes before they fell closed, Mia’s exhausted body falling into the wall, or the heroes themselves should they take her weight. Entirely out of it for at least a moment, ignorant to the carnage she’d been causing as he body was forced to rest.
If Freya released her horn, the group could notice the slow but sure progression of a new red casing starting to form over her horn from her skull.

They had to hurry in a situation where hurry would be the opposite thing of what they could do or more what they should do. Nimue pushed with all her power against Mia but that did not mean that Mia's red rage situation didn't stop her in tracks. She cringed when the part of her spear started to bend. Great, something she should think about, this was horrible. But she would be able to fix that, Mia was far more important. She looked at Mikhail and turned her attention to Mia's eyes, to make sure she was not getting a headbutt because that would bring their efforts away. But she wasn't sure how much longer this would hold on. She blushed hard at Freya's comment but got a small smile on her face, at least they were working together. She was slightly worried about the whole aftermath of that but she shouldn't think about that. Again, Mia was top priority. She instructed Jasmine where she could find the syringe and turned from the corner of her eye again to Mikhail and see if the effect of his venom would help more. She kept trying to push harder, she felt her feet slipping and her muscles aching. Come on! She frowned to show her effort in trying to keep this up. "Hang in there Hellhound, I think it's working." Though the scream was anything but pretty.
It was obvious that the piercing pain and probably the venom had made Mia unable to move that, Nimue tried to calculate in the medical sense what could happen. "Make sure to take it out slowly, Jasmine." As they were standing close together, she could call out the girl's name. "I don't want the needle to break because of her sturdy skin and muscles." Right bring the right needles is a good one. That was the short amount of preparations and still she would not have been able to explain to Jasmine which version she needed. She noticed things changed, she seemed to be struggling slower. Because Nimue was still standing so close and knew a little bit what to look at she could see what happened and her eyes turned bigger as she noticed the colour change in those of Mia and she quickly let go of her spear, dismissing it. "Hold her before she falls to hard! Let go Hellhound!" Because if Mia dropped, Freya shouldn't pull too much onto her horn anymore and instead of holding her down, Nimue tried to keep her up by having her arms underneath Mia's arms and trying to lift her up but she tumbled a little and well it went a little slower than the intention was and much slower if the others helped her as well and she quickly put her in the stable position to make sure Mia wouldn't be hurt from that. She checked her pulse, noticed the red cascet over her horn and made sure to check her eyes, but it seemed to be fine and everything reacted normally. Nkosi would do her work as her blue eyes changed to green.
"Serperior, thank you." She took a deep breath and smiled at Freya, "Can-Can I heal any of you?" She still held Mia's wrist and kept healing her but she could hold on to someone else if they let her.

As Redhorn’s struggles slowed, Serperior felt, of all things, disappointment creeping into his mind. He’d been riding high on adrenaline, rearing back to deliver another bite. Somewhere, someone’s fingers had been burning, ribs crying out in pain, but that someone hadn’t been him. In the heat of the fight, he could let go of the pressure to be an icon, and simply move.
But all good things came to an end.
And really, he hadn’t been able to properly let loose with all the other heroes around.
Without them here, she’d have broken you in half.
Someday, they’d rematch. And he’d win then.
Someday.
Mikki sighed, coiling back as Redhorn slumped down, looking at the rubble and chaos surrounding them. Had they really done all that? The memory of the fight was already starting to fade.
What an ugly sight.
Mikki looked down at his hand, visible disgust on his face at the sight of the blood-covered ruin where his fingernails had been.
He was glad Elena wasn’t here to see him like this. He could tolerate her seeing him vulnerable. Embarrassed. Just not...ugly.
But God, did he just want to be home right now.
Now, as for his...teammates.
“We should restrain her.” Serperior said curtly. He’d feel better with Redhorn handcuffed, even if he didn’t think they really had anything to restrain her. “And I believe we have several things to talk about…”
Serperior’s eyes flashed coldly as he glanced between Nimue--who, to her credit, had pulled herself together quite thoroughly, Frejya, who--well, he’d get to her, and the former UA student, Ms Noir.
“This was very close to an unmitigated disaster. I gave a pla--” He continued, then, in the corner of his eye, he saw it. The flash of a camera lense. A helicopter, marked with Channel 5 Tokyo news, hovering at the edge of the scene.
Superior knew what was coming next. He could see camera crews at the edge of the police barricade, pushing at the lines of cops that had blocked off the streets around them. Microphones being held up. The oncoming deluge of questions.
His annoyance didn’t abate, but there was one, hard-and-fast rule in show business that he intended to carry over to heroics.
You didn’t throw your co stars under the bus. This already looked terrible. Despite what the world might think, he was more than a fame-obsessed pretty-boy.
Mikki was going to drag heroes into legitimacy, whether they liked it or not.
Serperior turned toward the cameras, abruptly putting his arms around Witch Doctor and Hellhound (if they allowed it), a triumphant grin spreading across his face. His ribs screamed in pain, and he balled his hand into a fist to hide the blood. For a moment, the world swayed in front of him.
“Thanks for offering to heal me, but it’s really nothing. Help the civilians first.” Mikki replied, letting his voice carry to the crowd. His tone was utterly different--somber, but triumphant.
“Redhorn’s going to okay. I’m glad the three of you were here. I'm sure Pawmight has caught the villain by now.” He added, still speaking to the cameras, even if it sounded like he was talking to the other heroes. “Good job. I look forward to seeing you back at UA, Miss Noir.”
Maybe if I pretend hard enough, we'll become a proper team.
Maybe.

Freya felt her body scream in pain as she held onto Redhorn for dear life. The injuries were bad but she had a duty to keep up and she grit her teeth as she hulking red oni was being restrained by two other pros and the kid had something up her sleeve. She can only look on as they did their best to use the tranquilizer on her. Keeping her rip consistent as she didnt want to crush the damn thing but it was going to take a bit more time as she can notice Serperior and Nimue holding her down with all their might. She saw Noire administer the damned thing as time began to slow down for her as she watched. A part of her was genuinely worried that it wasn't enough and they had to tire her out even more but she kept her hopes up as she saw the needle go in.
She can only hear her heartbeat and hope that this would do the trick. Words that were said to her fell on deaf ears as she took a moment to regain her sense. Nimue let go of her spear as she felt Mia under her began to lose resistance and slumped a bit. Even Freya can notice that she is reverting back from the all red state. She regained her senses just in time to hear Nimue tell her to let go as she felt the big lug start to fall. “Gotcha, Greenie”, She replied as she gracefully got off Mia as she helped Nimue support her. Pain was numb at this point but she did her best to stay vigilant as she can see the media coming in. The pain on her was immense but thanks to her suit, it took the majority of the damage but her left arm and ribs were messed up. Thankfully her legs were sparred the same fate as she can stand just fine. Though it was obvious that she may need to take some time off work to recuperate from this injury since the last time she went out while injured it nearly cost her life. But setting that aside, the Witch Doctor herself offered treatment and of course Freya was not the one to turn down such a request.
“I could use some patching up, getting stomped by the big boss here did a number on my ribs”, she replied as she ignored Seperiors words to her. She neither had the energy or the tolerance to even reply to whatever he was saying. Though her remaining patience was tested as he put his arms around him and Nimue for the camera. “Of course the former idol turned hero poses for the camera”, she muttered as she did her best to smile as they posed for the camera. As they finished that, she looked to the kid who helped in the nick of time. “ So I can assume you’re the one Mia here talks about so often in her stories? I owe ya one.. ”, she remarked as she kept the gal up.

It was in the heat of the moment that Jasmine had begun feeling a small gust of relief wash over her. The combined efforts of the pro heroes and the would-be student were working. Mia was still struggling in morbid defiance, glaring and growling, screeching and roaring. The Oni could be a damn monster on the best of days, but now it was like whatever had gotten her mad in the first place was amping that up by eleven. Yet the sheer rage in her veins was gradually but effectively being calmed down by the tranquilizer before their very eyes. A combination of venom, medicine, strength... and an actual fucking plan.
Mia'd begun to slump and Jasmine was quick to hold her up together with Witch Doctor and Hellhound, making sure to lay her down onto the ground gently, taking care of the back of her head. "We got you, big girl," she said, her voice calm, soft, yet still very much alert.
Jasmine, as she was kneeling beside the knocked out Oni, allowed herself a sigh of relief. Hunching over, she honestly felt like punching her friend in the gut. I've lost too many people already. Don't you fucking do this to me ever again, her voice rung out in the back of her skull yet refused to roll off her tongue.
Crimson reverting to emerald, Jasmine glanced up at Serperior at the suggestion of restraint. She didn't say anything. The scowl she retorted with told more than words ever could.
Not too long before the area was deemed safe enough, the cameras had rushed in like moths to a flame. Orlov was quick to deal with them. She didn't know much about him, but whatever his intentions were didn't really matter. The people weren't supposed to see Heroes weak. They weren't supposed to know that they can lose. All they need to know is that Heroes can always be depended on. Jasmine snorted to herself quietly, the image I got of him was a self-centered jackass, she thought. Guess that actually helps here.
Although he really didn't need to mention her name, what with the few confused glances she'd gotten from the media.
Despite not being injured, the stress of the situation had gotten to Jasmine, even if she wouldn't outright admit it. It was why the lass was grateful to Hellhound when she offered to help her up. "Nah," she replied, smiling. "If anybody owes anything to anyone, I owe you guys for helping calm Mia down."
Her gaze had turned sideways once she found herself back on her feet. With Red Horn being out of commission and the danger having subsided, she allowed her focus to calm, opening up the broader horizons for her eyes. Turning over her shoulder, an almost contagious smile came over the wolf's lips when she saw the woman with the child she'd saved before. She was still on the scene, and whilst her and her child were being taken care of medical specialists, her worried gaze was still very much fixated on the ashen haired teenager. She waved through a visible wave of relief; Jasmine's smile and she nodded back.
"Miss Noir...?" An unfamiliar voice called out to the wolf, pulling her out of her own thoughts. "...Ember?"
Now that's a name I haven't heard in a while... the would-be student mused inwardly as she regarded the man who'd approached her. He seemed ragged, tired, sleep deprived. Late 20s, by the looks of it. Messy black hair, bags under his eyes... and a voice recorder in his hands.
"You're Ember, right? The American UA student who went missing a year ago?"
Aw shit... "..."
He took a few moments to regard her. A quick inspection by the looks of it. Despite how different Jasmine now was, she could tell that those eyes of his found familiarities between the Jasmine of now and the Jasmine of the past.
"I can see that quite a bit happened to you. Obviously. I'm not going to ask you anything now, but..." he paused as he fished something out of his coat. A business card, "If you ever feel like telling your story, please. Contact me."
The business card in her hand, Jasmine remained quiet. "...Caldera."
He blinked. Then smiled. "Ember... Caldera... After today, I'm still a fan."
The wolf watched him retreat back into the crowd swarming the Pros with confusion written all over her face. She glanced back at the business card, far too many thoughts in her head. Sighing, she simply pocketed it. That's something she could consider later. For now it was probably best she high-tail it before anybody else decided they're a fan. The attention really wasn't needed right now.
With that being said, Jasmine gave Red Horn and the scene a one more thorough inspection. The situation seemed under control. She'd rather avoid any other questions... plus the fact that she was a non-student using a quirk probably meant an encounter with the police. Sure, the pros would likely speak up for her, but... she'd honestly rather not deal with it. She needed a goddamn shower.
Looking around, Jasmine quickly found her means of escape. If not stopped, she'd quietly sneak her way into a dark alleyway while everybody was busy showering Serperior with attention and head back home... or, well. Mia's couch. There should still be some leftover pizza in the fridge, too. Maybe even a few beers.
She also made a mental note to check up on Red the starfish. The Oni would be okay, Jasmine was sure of that. Still wouldn't hurt to check though.
[exits, if not stopped]
------------------------------ TL;DR -Helps lay Mia down, taking extra care as she does so -Glares at Serperior at the idea of more restraints -Is helped up by Hellhound and replies that she's the one who owes the pros -Sees the mother and daughter she saved receiving treatment off in the distance
-Is approached by a reporter, given a business card -Tries to leave the area quietly
