Exhausted mentally and physically, Airi plopped down onto the floor of the training room and rested her back against the wall. She closed her eyes, letting herself rest for a short period of time. Why was training her quirk this tiring? She was probably the only one who had to put up with this nonsense of getting hurt every time she used it. Still.. it did sting less. Maybe she was getting used to it? Only a little bit though. Even with some intense training.. ugh.. she was never going to get better.
As her eyes gazed at the palm of her hands, thoughts began to pop up in her mind. This year had just started yet here she was, falling back into old habits. This time everything was supposed to be different.... so... why did it feel like there was a brick wall in front of her? Airi audibly sighed. Knowing herself, it was almost guaranteed that she would cause problems for herself and others yet again. "Ugh.. this is so depressing." She knew exactly where she wanted to be but getting there, hoo boy.. that was another story. Goals that she had set didn't mean much if she didn't know how to achieve them and knowing that made her just made her feel like trash.
Stupid garbage that nobody wanted. Combustible because nothing of value is ever thrown away in the trash. She was just a shitty bag of trash left on the street on trash collection day.... and the truck was getting closer and closer... and there was nothing she could do but try to hide the scent of her smelliness but that wouldn't do anything because all somebody had to do was take one look at her and realize she was a piece of garbage and maybe she could've gotten away with being trash if she wasn't in the middle of the street, but it was her fault because she put herself in the middle of the street where everyone could judge her trashiness.
"..jeez." Airi muttered to herself, surprised at her own thought process. If anyone heard her now, they would assume she was a nutcase. Maybe she was.. but.. this train of thought wasn't really beneficial at all. Putting herself down was a bad habit she had to grow past. Her whining was really getting annoying, even to herself.
Ready to take a crack at her mobility techniques again, Airi pulled herself off the ground and reached for her phone. "It's almost five.. I got time though." She quickly shuffled to a random song on her playlist and placed it on the ground. Almost immediately after, she would stretch her arms out and aim at a dummy she had set up on the opposing wall.
"Fuck!" Airi blurted out, stung by the release of electricity. Distracted by her song of choice, she sent out a ball of lightning instead of the elongated, electrified tether she had practised making. Her eyes peered over at her phone. ANRI's songs were really upbeat and fun but they were definitely not good training music... nor were they good study music either. Airi just felt like singing along whenever she put them on. "Remember summer days..." Eh, it was too much effort to change the song now.
