APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Among the giants and strong heros of this world, Remy stands out as... Young. Remy isn't necessarily as small as some other people within the world, but his appearance does make him look like a young child, the doctors have told him he will probably be younger looking for most of his life. The young boy is also often confused for a girl because of his young facial features and his petite body.
Remy's hair is white and short cut to just above his shoulders, He keeps his bangs long and tied up with red hair pins to show the roman numeral XIII (13) to keep his hair out of his face. The haircut only adds to the androgynous look since it's rarely a hairdo a boy is found wearing, a bit longer than how most males can be seen sporting such a hair style. Framing his slender face his hair is usually kept in the most minimal way possible. His face is slender and his facial features are gentle and simple. He usually wears a bit of mascara due to when he doesn't he looks more like a skeleton than anything else. His lips are small, in fact almost unnoticeable which only adds to his skeletal appearance. Other than that Remy's face is plain, most of it being taken up by his large doe like eyes, which house large crimson iris. Underneath his eyes are usually two bags due to the lack of sleep.
taking one look at Remy it's obvious to see that he isn't the strongest person within a room. His body almost seems bare, and even though he does have muscles due to his small frame even those are limited. The small frame also adds to the appearance of a female, giving him a more slender frame.
Remy is often times seen wearing very fashionable, yet young looking clothes. His clothing is often bright and can been found sporting some sort of bright suspenders to support his outfit. The most common thing Remy can be seen wearing is a white dress shirt, with some sort of sport jacket, Slacks that cut off at the shins with bright leggings peeking through from underneath. This style of clothing piles onto his appearance adding that childish appearance.
As young as Remy looks, there is one thing about him that stands out among even some of the more odd looking people that can be found wandering the world today. And that is bright red stitching that can be seen through traveling around his body. Covering his Right hand and arm, as well as down the center of his torso. There are two "x" shaped stitching on his right eye lid as well as the right side of his lip. These stitches are part of Remy's quirk, but give him a more eerie appearance that contrast heavily with his more innocent look. Some have said that Remy reminds them of a creepy porcelain doll.

Remy is a complex little soul, at first glance Remy is a gentle boy who loves the more simple things in life. He is often times found walking around with a very large grin on his face and humming, whistling, or singing some type of chipper tune. Remy is a very light hearted individual most of the time, he loves to laugh and play games.
Remy is a very outgoing individual, not afraid to go up to anyone and spark up a conversation. Usually this leads to speaking what ever is on his mind and asking probing questions that might make some people uncomfortable. He is quick to start a conversation with anyone, animals included, and just as quick to loose interest and walk away towards the next shiny thing.
Remy is a very kindhearted individual as well, he has a big heart for other people and hates to see others suffer. He is quick to listen to those in pain and try to understand where they are coming from. Though he isn't the type to give advice, or at least not real advice. He is more a ear for listening.
With all that being said there is much more to Remy than a sweet child who likes pretty things and is a good friend to have. Through Remy's hardships he had developed a few... "cracks" in his personality. Parts of him that are much darker, parts of himself that he hates, parts of himself that contradicts some of the things about him as a person.
Remy is a broken boy, and sometimes that brokenness spills through the cracks. There are times where Remy's built up anger, sadness or frustration will spill out of him and he will use what ever he can as a target to unleash this wave of emotion on. There is also the fact that Remy that enjoys to see others in pain, but only those who he thinks 'deserve it' It is something he find himself indulging in, and will be quick to bring this pain to the said person if he can. Remy can also be found getting lost in small laughing fits, where he is overstimulated by the mix of emotions and leans back on a 'joyful' type of emotion, even if it isn't the most pure type of joy.
No matter Remy's mood he is a very observant fella, he is always perceiving what's around him, from his environment to the people around him, what they are doing and feeling, And he prefers to figure things out based on thought and rationality rather than feelings, even if the thought and rationality is twisted.
This leaves Remy to be a somewhat dangerous opponent, He is smart and cunning, catches on to things quickly and is always analyzing whats around him, but is more unpredictable in what his fighting style might be, sometimes he prefers to be a bit more stealthy and calculating, and sometimes he just wants to jump in head first and enjoy the fight as much as possible.

HISTORY
Times are changing, the world is growing, Quirkers are becoming more common. The goverment across the world set laws in place for these new breeds. No quirks, a simple, yet large rule. A rules that many were breaking for the worse, some for the best. Todaro and Chanel both knew this, This is why the couple agreed to work for a secret sect of the government. Todaro was a Doctor and scientist, He was seen as one of Japan's brilliant minds of Biology. He agreed to work with the with this secret sect to study the biology of these quirkers, see what made them tick, where they got these abnormalities and to try to find a way to cure them. Chanel was a doctor of the Mind, a Psychologist, who was brought onto the team to study the mind of these quirkers, much to the same cause. There were many more on these teams, and many more of these teams around the world. This couple was stationed in France. Where they had their son Remy. Todaro and Chanel were both quirkless, and under the impression that these quirkers were the outcome of something going horribly wrong.
Remy was born on the large military/government base. It was made clear to all within the base that their goals and purpose for being on the base was to find, and create a contingency plan. Quirkers were becoming more common within the entire world, and were largely accepted. But just because they were accepted didn't mean they could be fully trusted. Even if the quirkers had good intentions, all it would take is for one quirker who could manipulate the rests's mind and all human kind could be wiped out. So, this team of people were one of the many assigned to studying quirkers and figuring out a "end all" just in case it came to that. Even though this was the case, and that most of the goverment had accepted quirkers, there were more than a handful of employees at this specific base, who still hated quirkers. Todaro, and Chanel being among them.
His parents were both very loving and adored him, and though there was the creeping fear of their son turning into a quirker, they had hopes that he would be 'normal', after all neither of them had any family that had developed quirks, at least not that they knew of. They hired a nanny to assist with raising young Remy, Marlene. Marlene was kind and compassionate person, who taught Remy many things as he began to develop into a child who could learn. As Remy grew up he was a very playful boy. Always happy and chipper, he had a good life. Loving parents, a great nanny. They had everything they needed, and though Remy wished they could leave the base more, he understood that it wasn't always safe out there, that quirkers might hurt them.
As Remy Grew up he went to school on base where all the government and military kids went. It wasn't a large school, but it was decent enough. Remy got along well with everyone, he was funny and very charismatic, making friends easily and often times being the center of attention on the play ground. Most of the people on the base were nice, though with so many different people, there was a lot of butting heads, you had the scientist who valued knowledge, the officers who valued power, and the military who valued strength. Human morality is much more complicated than that, but for young Remy that's how he earned to understand it. Most of the kids followed the footsteps of their parents when it came to attitude, but for the most part they were all normal happy preschoolers.
Of course, as one grows older their body begins to charge, and for Remy, those changes came in a different way, a way that was much more different that the change that usually happened in your teenage years. When Remy was about 4 years old He developed something his parents secretly feared. Remy was a quirker.
It was a day like any other. Marlene was getting Remy ready for school, he was running around Naked and laughing as she chased him to put his school clothes on for preschool. As she began to pull his underwear on Remy was laughing uncontrollably and squirming to get away, when suddenly the fabric of the underwear unraveled and wrapped around Marlene's hands, holding them together as he squirmed away laughing, not even realizing what had happened. Marelen, unlike Remy's parents did not fear Quirkers, in fact her nephew was one. She just watched at first in amazement, then in horror. How would this poor boy be treated she wondered?
When Marlene told Remy's parents the couple went through a torrent of emotions, disbelief, anger, accusing Marlene of lying, shock, horror. the emotions came quickly and they came violently. As they came to acknowledge that Marlene was telling them the truth, they were both angry, upset, and scared. But each had a different way of handling things. The two both decided it was best to pull Remy out of school and to have Marlene home school Remy. But Todaro saw Remy as a gift, not in the way he saw his son before he had a quirk, and not in the way that most parents saw their children with quirks. No, Todaro saw Remy as a 'gift from the gods' His own personal lab rat. His own test subject that he could do what ever he wanted to without the rules and regulations the prisoners they had on campus had. He could test and experiment on his son as much as he wanted, Remy belonged to him after all. Remy was no longer Todaro's son, but instead his possession.
Todaro spent as much time as he could experimenting on Remy. It started simple, collecting DNA, hair, Saliva, urine, blood. But as time went on the test got larger. Larger amounts of DNA, testing the fabric Remy altered, and eventually, beginning to cut him open and test him. Technology was advanced enough to keep the boy alive, and Todaro stopped when Remy needed time to recover, simply because his wife begged him to. But the only real interaction Remy had with his father was under the knife.
Chanel was the same, at least at first. She began to treat him like a patient, she was was hurt that her son had become this... monster and so she tried to distance herself, see him for 'what he was' as a quirker and no longer a son. She stopped calling him by his name, hoping that it would help her to see him this way. As she drove into his psyche all she could see was a scared, lonely, sad, hurt boy. Her boy, Her son. Chanel wasn't 'strong enough' to stop seeing him as her son, so she opened her heart back up to him, though it took a few years to get there.
Chanel convinced Todaro they they should get a pet for Remy, it would help with his psyche which would help them both get to the next stages of testing. Or at least that was the excuse she gave her husband, she had to come up with something clever enough to allow her son to have some type of companion. And so Remy got a puppy, he named him Truffle, after his favorite dessert he used to get with his mom and dad before he developed his quirk. He of course didn't remember much of those times, the times before. Just the good stuff. Like his friends, and his momma and papa. Truffle became his best friend, After papa's test he would come and simply cuddle with Truffle, When he wasn't tested on and he got to have his instructions with Madam Marlene then Truffle and Remy played together. Truffle was able to tell which days were 'the good days' and which were 'the bad days' as Remy called it.
They were able to keep the boy, but under the pretense of Remy being an experiment and not their son. He was property of the government. Remy did't get to leave their apartment because of this. He would watch out the window and see all the kids playing as they all grew older. He longed to play with them, to be friends like they used to. But he wasn't allowed to. Marlene did her best, she would bring toys, coloring books and sweets, all kinds of things. Remy enjoyed those things, but, they couldn't replacing having friends his age to play with.
During the years of living like this Chanel began to recognize something was wrong with Remy, he was still his happy playful self. He had imaginary friends and was usually chipper. But there was an underlying darkness that she could get hints of every now and then. He would say things like how he wonders if it feel good to hurt people and if that's why papa hurts him. Or if families are meant to be angry with each other. There was a side of Remy that would peek out, then disappear just as quickly. And as Remy got older she noticed it more. He would notice his stuffed animal being ripped up but Remy simply said Truffles was playing with it too much. She noticed that he would squeeze his hands into fist until he broke skin in his palms. There was something inside Remy that was starting to break.
When Remy was about 12 years old he snuck out with Truffle to take him for a walk. Usually Momma and Papa were the ones to take Truffle for a walk, but Truffle was whining and Momma and Papa hadn't come home yet. It was late so... He figured it would be fine. As Remy stepped outside, he smiled, he noticed some of the kids were outside playing still, as the sun was going down. Remy didn't get to leave their apartment very often, the most common occurrence was to go to the testing sites. There were few occasions when He was allowed to go outside under the correct supervision, but only when no one else was around. There were even fewer times when Remy would sneak out himself, just to get out and explore. Though because of cameras he was usually caught and punished, so he didn't try too often. So He grabbed Truffle's leash and ran over to the kids. It had been too long since Remy saw them, almost 10 years. He couldn't really recognize most of them, he couldn't tell if there were any new faces or if old friends had disappeared because they were like him. He wasn't sure of anything other than the fact that he was happy to see them.
The kids, on the other hand were not happy to see Remy. They began to call him names, horrible names that caused Remy to freeze. Truffle could tell something was wrong and began growling at the kids. The kids didn't like this and decided to take measures into their own hands. Two of them tackled Remy and hold him down and made him watch as the other grabbed the dog and pinned them down. The kids began taking turns kicking and punching the dog, the barks and growls turning to whimpers and snarls as it tried to defend it's self. One of the military brats pulled out a military grade knife, his fathers gift to him. And Remy began screaming as the knife was plunged into his best friend over and over, the whimpering turning to silences as the ground was stained red. Remy's quirk activated, the two boys who were holding him down were sounding wrapped in strings of Fabric causing them to fall over. The other boys jumped back in horror as they watched Remy get up and run to the barely living dog, the knife still plunged into it's body. The kids ran to their bound friends and began ripping them out of the fabric. Remy Fell to his knees and something inside Remy broke even more. His sobbing turned to laughter. The kids were horrified as they saw Remy laughing. Remy picked the knife up and turned towards them, that's when they ran away. Screaming. As soon as they found adults they told them that Remy had killed his dog and when they tried to stop him he came after them.
Remy was taken away from his home for a few months, left in a padded room to be watched by his parents and other officials. Marlene was the only one who visited him. His father was too angry and afraid, his mother too ashamed. Marlene visited as often as she could, and when the came together they played and learned. In spite of being locked up, Remy remained happy, though he would break out into fits, laughing fits, crying fits, screaming fits. It drove his father to anger and a thirst to understand what was going on inside this... thing. But his mother, it broke her heart, her boy was being broken because of them. Eventually Remy was allowed back home. And His mother apologized and held him. Though still too shamed to talk too much to him. She needed to do something, so she decided to do the one thing she could do to help him. Get him out of there, so she secretly enlisted him for a new school in Japan, a school to help people with Quirks. Times were changing, those were quirks were starting to become more accepted and even hired to help stop some of the other quirkers. She wasn't sure what type of life her son would have at this school, but she knew it would be better than here. It took a long time, but she was able to secretly sign him up, and she had Marlene sneak him out, where they got onto a private jet and flew to Japan. Marlene would be the one to bring Remy to safety, where he could learn of his quirk. and have a 'normal' life.
He was able to say good bye to his mother, but not his father, and even as he left his heart broke. He would miss them, he loved them both dearly in spite of what his life had been to this point. And before he left he promised his momma that he would come back, and show them that quirkers were normal people just like them.
Remy doesn't know what the future hold for him, he doesn't know what he's going to become but there is one thing he wants... He wants to help everyone to see that quirkers are human too.. sometimes more human that humans are.
