Tetsuko had become quite happy with the progress she'd made in her art.
Swordsmanship, like any martial art, was about practice and understanding. The former she had always gotten plenty of, and the latter had come to her in waves in the recent weeks. The Exhibition Festival, and all the struggles within, had proven quite effective in clearing her mind to make way for the deep insight that one required to fully grasp any art, martial ones included. Thanks to that, she'd finally begun learning the final of the five forms that made up Kashima Shinden Jikishinkage-ryū. The Marubashi Kata, the form associated with winter.
All this to say, that Tetsuko was in quite the mood to practice her martial arts.
Tough times were ahead. Her final year at U.A., and attempts to confront her family's deeply rooted problems meant that Tetsuko needed to hone her skills more than ever. A brief period of uncertainty and conflict over her 'reason' for fighting had dented her abilities a bit, so she needed to bring them back up to standard. Because right now, even though she didn't quite have a concrete reason anymore, she at least had the will to keep going. That was enough to make her sharpen her blades.
The best way to test a blade was opposing steel, the 21st Headmaster would say. And, thanks to some arrangements with a fellow student, Tetsuko had found the perfect opponent to test herself against. U.A. had many martial artists, but in Tetsuko's opinion, not many of them truly embodied or understood the essence of it. Sure, some of them got by, but the inner tactics required to truly make the most of them were lost on quite a few.
Feng Yao didn't fit in this category, or at least Tetsuko hoped. She seemed to take martial arts quite seriously, so Tetsuko was quite happy to hear the girl was interested in a spar. It was a fine chance to test both their abilities, she felt. After all, despite the gap between them, they both still had plenty to learn.
Tetsuko would arrive at the training grounds for their spar early, ready to talk to Feng about the details of the engagement and what they both wanted to get out of it. In a short-sleeved U.A. tracksuit, Tetsuko would begin stretching near the edge of the sparring field, keeping an eye out for her partner.

Cooling off from the hot seat of the festival, Feng found herself with nothing much to do in the meantime. She is in the midst of her talks with various people close to her that she hurt, getting proper help and getting out various bottled up feelings. It was a lot of work but she is back to her normal self with a bit more awareness of her surroundings. Adding on the voice in her head that doesn't seem to know a filter on what is a joke and what is an actual piece of advice and various new skills she regained as the voice came back. So a lot of it was just her trying to get her bearings on the situation that she put herself in.
To pile onto the list of various occurrences, she decided it was best to move in with her Aunt and her family for the last year of UA. Her aunt was open to it but the sudden change in Feng did prompt for the hasty decision. Her cousins were mixed in the decision as the vacant room was much a competition due to it not being used as often. So it was understandable to say they were more or less pissed that she swiped the room. It's a nice room as well, it was spacious and was already furnished with a bed and TV.
She had much of the neighborhood to explore as well. Both for a jogging route to use for her daily runs and a way to get to UA quickly. Many changes for her which could have overwhelmed her and caused her anxiety for being so sudden. But something about the arrangement felt right to her. Last thing aside from the occasional noise she hears from down the road. She will check it out in due time and see who actually lives there.
But aside from life, it was time to get back to the actual meat of the situation. She loves to fight it out with various individuals. Albeit weaker or stronger, she is always open for testing her skills in a battle of wits. There were many in her year she wanted to fight: so many that she can't name all of them because she then would go on why she would want to fight them. Most of them was because they presented a challenge to Feng and she wanted to try her hand to see if she could keep up. Its not that she wants to fight them for the sake of fighting, it's more to see if she notices her own weakness and improves on them. Of course, she is not to take a loss easily because she is as much a sore loser as she is a fighter. But it does not deter her nonetheless as it only makes her stronger.
Tetsuko is one of the many she wants to fight. Ever since the battle royale and seeing her matches, she is one of the few she wants to eagerly fight against. But time and virtue of various things caused her to not have time to challenge the head of the DC committee. Well until now where she answered her message in a sparring session. She was eager to say the least as she put on her usual training outfit which was just her martial arts outfit. But she woke up early to warm up and stretch since her brain could not sit still. Most of her time was spent shadowboxing her opponent from the royale. Even on the way there, she kept doing until she met up with her at the training facilities.
Her eyes were ready as she saw her sparring partner waiting for her. She can’t hide the energy of how eager she was to actually fight against her. But she contained it in order to get the usual things out of the way. Approaching her slowly with a slight spring in her step.
“Seems like you were up and early for this...thank ya for accepting this.”

Tetsuko would stretch her waist, twisting her body in dynamic motions to properly loosen herself up. It was much preferred to static stretching, and let her use her martial arts to their utmost. And what would they be if she couldn't use them to their limit? Whether she liked it or not, her skill with the sword had come to define her, so pushing her ability with it also meant pushing herself ever further...
Spars were always a fantastic way to do that. After all, every spar was a lesson. Tetsuko looked forward to the mutual teaching that would occur between her and Feng Yao.
Speaking of which, the Chinese girl didn't take long to arrive, looking quite eager about things and approaching Tetsuko with a grateful assertion. "I've always been an early riser. And there's no need to thank me, I'm glad for the chance to spar too." Seeing the energy in Feng's eyes evaporated any doubts that the girl was a fellow martial artist. The swordswoman could plainly see the excitement for this spar, not for the violence of it, not for the excitement that came with the danger, but for the elation of honing one's abilities against a capable opponent.
It might have been cliche, but these martial artists knew exactly why such stereotypes existed. This was their 'art', after all, and they loved to compare their masterworks.
"I'm ready to begin whenever you are, but we should clarify rules first. Well, basically, just whether or not you want to use Quirks or just pure martial arts. I'm fine either way." Tetsuko would ask. Either option sounded interesting. Sometimes, cutting out the weirdness and uniqueness of Quirks made it easier to focus on the details of your fighting style. Other times, you wanted to practice using your martial arts in conjunction with your more extraordinary abilities.
Whatever Feng answered, Tetsuko would be ready to begin.

Brief exchange was all Feng needed really. She knows what exactly they want out of this and it was pretty obvious that both sides were clamoring for this. Her expression was more calm than she thought as the pleasantries weren't really needed. Two sides of the same coin is what she was getting here. No fun banter, no anger, no weird emotions, the only thing that was present and accounted for is the urge to fight. It wasn’t a fight to the death, battle of ideals, a match disguised as a conversation, it was a match that was clear cut as it can be. It was just a fight between two individuals to test one’s skills. She didn't care if she lost the spar, in the end it was all relative to her emotions and sense of self. All she wants to do is prove to herself that she can fight and that's all.
Of course she wondered if she wanted to use her quirk or make it martial arts only. But fighting with only fists does get a bit bland at times. Using her skills can be done by anyone and with everyone. But she didn't get the charge out of it like she used it. Maybe it was the sense of speed, maybe it was the sweat and blood being pumped as she used her quirk that got her going.Relying her quirk too much will result in meaningless injuries and using it as a crutch. She will never know why she feels this way, but right now she just wants to fight a stronger opponent and see the results of it. A win or a loss is meaningless here.
Feng took a slow deep breath as she closed her eyes for a moment to clear her thoughts.Slowly exhaling and opening her eyes, she answered. “Quirks on. I want to see what it looks like to be one the top three at this school…”, she takes her familiar stance. Looking deep within herself and feeling her own body's rhythm, gets ready to fight as she mentally prepares herself. Each beat within her heart was her soul and every time she moved her body responded. It was a state of zen she had never felt before.
Yumi tested her speed, Jaz tested her power, she now wants to test her skills and see where they match up. Know where she stands in this school and where she is compared to her younger self. Power, Speed, SKill is what she excels at and to test them against the schools strongest is the best way to gauge her standing.
She got into a ready stance and her eyes began to glow as she stared down Tetsuko. The silence was deafening but it was the right atmosphere to open a fight with. Only thing she can hear is the sound of her heart. All of a sudden in a rush of blood and determination, Feng yelled out. “Let’s Go!”, her words echoing through the empty area. Eyes glowing and blood running hot.
In a blur she activated her quirk and burst of fire blasted her forwards and towards her opponent. Leaving a trail of flame behind her, her legs were red hot and ready as she quickly closed in and went for several fast front facing kicks that were aimed at her upper body.

Feng didn't take long to come to an answer over how they would be fighting. Tetsuko herself saw the merits of both options, as someone who relied deeply on their own skills and augmented them with their Quirk, rather than the other way around. That being said, the fact that they were training to be Pro Heroes meant that being able to fight with their 'special abilities' was extremely important. Turning each Quirk into its own fighting system was just what they had to do, and although it was a less specialized kind of training, Tetsuko was happy to work on it more herself.
"Very well. We'll use our Quirks then. I'll be blunting all my blades, as per usual." The swordswoman declared with a nod of her head. Tetsuko herself was excited to work more with her Quirk, as she had only recently begun better incorporating into it her own fighting style with her own variant of the Marubashi Kata.
With the intention of primarily using it and the Habiki Kata as her 'base', Tetsuko would drew her weapon. Holding out her right hand, iron flowed out like sand, taking the shape of a regular katana. Her most basic of swords, which Tetsuko had named 'Yukifuri', or 'Snowfall'. It was blunted, as promised. Tetsuko also made sure to blunt her weapons against flesh and blood opponents, only ever sharpening her blades if she had to cut through something a bit more inanimate.
Like her opponent, she assumed a stance, a basic kenjutsu position in which her sword was held at a midsection guard, her body facing forward, and her feet apart but close. She too, focused on her breathing. Her style of swordswomanship, augmented by her Grandfather, had two primary 'breathing' types. Shura, the aggressive, and Fudoshin, the passive. The former was much more situational, and Fudoshin meshed far better with her style, so she stuck with that for now. Taking careful and calm breathes, she awaited the beginning of the match.
Hands gripping her sword, Tetsuko smiled lightly, nodding that she was ready to begin. With a powerful yell, Feng began the spar, and in the next moment, blasted forward right at Tetsuko!
'So this is that style of hers... Quite aggressive. I wonder if it has more than strikes...'
Flaming legs launched at her, and Tetsuko immediately began showing just how capable her defense was. As a storm of kicks shot out, she'd pivot her blade to deflect and block them, remaining on the back foot but only exerting as much effort as she needed to protect herself from those flaming feet. Feng certainly had a knack for offensive rushes, but Tetsuko did wanna see if that mobility made her as flexible as Darren.
As one of Feng's kicks lashed out, Tetsuko would pivot her blade to block, this time taking the full brunt of the strike against he flat of her sword. Naturally, that caused it to be knocked back a bit more, potnetially creating an opening... Albeit a dangerous one, for Tetsuko used the force of that blocked strike, pivoting the blade in her hands and letting Feng's force flow into Tetsuko's counterattack, the blade twisting into a downward slash aimed right at Feng!

Feng's rush began and of course Tetsuko ain't no joke when it came to a close quarters fight. She isn't as explosive or as fast as the others, but she made it obvious that she is focused on skill. Deflecting all of her kicks at this speed alone was enough to warrant a change in her strategy but she kept pushing on as she felt her kicks hit the flat side of her blade. Her quirk ain't no joke as many other metals would have melted at the touch of her flame but it stayed solid. A part of her has to get more creative than her rush down, she is fighting one of the stronger students in her year and she can't get lazy now.
“I need to get smarter if I want to even land a hit on her!”
The rush continued as she tried to see how she would respond to a situation like this. An endless rush like this has its limits and she has a feeling that Tetsuko has more than enough energy to spare in parrying her blocks. She failed to realize that she was also being read as wel and felt things slowly change as the rush went on.Things would take a turn once her opponent saw an opening and promptly exploited it skillfully.
“SHIT, THIS IS BAD!”
She was in the midst of her rush and now she can see a sword coming at her. Her eyes glowed and her stance switched up as she kept her cool and activated her quirk narrowly out of the way of the swing. Her breathing staggered for a moment but she got back into her rhythm as she had a second to think on what to do next. Her rush down had no effect and attempting to disarm her aint going to be easy. But she has to make the effort to knock the wind out of her, she is strong but she isn't immortal and if she can defend that means she can get hit.
Her stance adjusted yet again as she slowly exhaled as she jumped in yet again, going for what it looks like a flying kick. But at the same time, she was compressing her spring and coiling it to build up energy. She recalled doing this a few times and she never applied this sort of thinking into it until now. A spring that gets more and more compressed means the energy released is greater. Applying that logic to her her kicks, she can achieve much more if she sees them as more than a part of her and seen more as a weapon she can use.
"Lets see if this works then!"
She released all of the energy she built up and flew faster at her opponent than she thought. Her legs ignited and she became more like a comet than anything else. Positioned and ready for impact, she was aiming to slam into full force with a high speed kick. Something she never expected but she welcome nonetheless as she flew at Tetsuko at full force with a determined look in her eyes.

"A good defense is about much more than being able to take a hit."
That was the maxim Tetsuko's mother had taught her, and it was something that she applied firmly to her own style. Compared to her peers, the Shindou girl wasn't nearly as flashy or showy; she didn't rely on big moves unless there was a significant opening, and didn't attempt dramatic tricks unless they were necessary. Her style of combat relied on practicality, timing and technique. It was 'fundamentals' based approach that suited her well.
Of course, possessing abnormal resilience and sturdy equipment didn't hurt either.
Tetsuko was able to put up a solid defense against Feng's rush, not bucking nor growing impatient, but waiting for the right moment to strike. Combat is timing; figure out your opponent's and vary your own. Another maxim, modified from the teachings of Musashi. The Water Wheel Sword was a technique that utilized both halves of this lesson.
By more statically blocking Feng's strike, Tetsuko could not only potentially create a 'false opening', she could also use that force to power are rapid counter-cut that had a high probability of beating out any attempts to contest it. An excellent technique for turning the tides, and one that worked well in this case, forcing Feng to abandon her rush and create space. With that movement, the balance was restored; however, Tetsuko didn't yet try to go on the offensive.
Feng's style was far more offense-oriented, from what Tetsuko could tell. Furthermore, it was a style that preferred quick attacks and fast retreats, rather than continued offensive pressure. Tetsuko had to apply her own inner tactics in an appropriate way, in order to deal with such a threat. Until she learned more about Feng's timing, she'd be cautious with her own... It was quite a fun process, really.
'I wonder where her style originates... Less rigid than most traditional Chinese arts, it seems...'
Such idle musings were afforded to her as she prepared for Feng's next attack, curious to see what this style had to offer. With her guard raised, the Shindou girl didn't fear nor expect a head-on assault once more... Though, what she got was rather comparable.
The other girl launched forward again, this time seeming to aim for a flying kick.
'Not the wisest choice... Though maybe with her Quirk...'
In a surprising turn, Feng accelerated with powerful intent, the rapid change in her speed catching Tetsuko on guard. Initially intending to deflect the blow and let Feng drift past, Tetsuko to pivot into a hard, static block as the kick flew her way. Her stance stiffened, and Tetsuko threw her hand out to support her blade as she tilted the flat of the weapon outward. Tetsuko received Feng's kick, tensing her muscles at the moment of impact to withstand the blow. She slid back slightly, as flames flickered off blade, and the force surged through her arms. Gritting her teeth and grinning, Tetsuko was interested by this development.
'As expected, she's good at starting an offense... Though, that isn't enough.'
Her reaction was delayed due to the static block, but as soon as Tetsuko found herself free to act, she wouldn't let Feng retreat again. Shifting her grasp again, Tetsuko lunged forward once she recovered from the block, swinging her sword with both hands in a strong but short strike, powered by the rotation of her waist.
'Spring Form: Iron Breaking'
Tetsuko followed up with a few more quick, safe swings from alternating sides, aiming to put some pressure onto Feng to see what she'd do next. There were flaws that had become apparent, how might she overcome them, Tetsuko wondered.

From the moment her kick made contact, Feng knew she was in for a tough time with this one. Her defense is rigid and sturdy as the strike felt like she hit a statue. She figured as much despite her improvements in her technique, it was no surprise others were getting stronger around her. The battle royale seemed to echo this exact scenario but many things have changed since that. One obvious thing as of late is the glaring issue of her style being too heavily focused on offense. Too fixated on doing damage and she can even admit that it becomes too obvious from the get go. The flying kick did the opposite as it put herself in a real bad position as she was off the ground and in range of the ironclad knight.
‘I need to seriously start switching up my style...this one is gonna be the bane of me’, she thought as she grit her teeth as she kicked off her shield. Her brain was trying to put together strategies but none seemed to work out well in her head as her defense was the largest issue. ‘We’re built like paper dragons here’, a familiar voice would ring out in her mind as it was Fei with her usual banter. She paid her no mind as of late due to the incident against her mirror self...but that's another story. She kicked off her shield and figured to try and go in again but Tetsu had other plans.
As soon as she landed, the knight was coming at her with a blade in hand. There was barely any time to react as she was faster than she looked as she swung with both hands. She activated her quirk and used her skills to narrowly dodge the strike as it whiffed her by a hair. It was a close shave but it wasn't end as more swings were coming. More pressure was coming her way and she can already feel that she is doing this to push her into a corner. This fight is completely different from what she had dealt with before. One instance the opponent is miles ahead of her in speed, another is an opponent who is more explosive in their application and now she is dealing with someone with sheer technique and power.
It was daunting to say the least as moved like a leaf in the wind as she was dodging the slashes. But a few cuts were gained on her costume as she was caught by a few hits coming from her blindspot. She cant block the hit and she cant keep dodging so there was one other option. Crazy and reckless but it was something at least.
As the swings kept coming she began to flow a bit more with each hit that missed as she started to find a rhythm in the fight. She was keeping constant pressure and Feng's solution was not to struggle but flow with it. The more she struggled to dodge and wave, the more she would drain herself of her own stamina. It was difficult at first but as she kept moving and moving until she saw a momentary opening in her movements as she saw a pause in it.
“and...NOW!”, she said in her mind as the swing missed once more but she found the opportunity to strike as she paused for a moment. She activated her quirk and gave her a burst of speed that got her close so she can flow into an uppercut that was aimed straight for her jaw. Gritting her teeth knowing full well what could happen but this was her test and she will pay the price in full.

As they fought, Tetsuko continued to muse on the origins of Feng's martial art. Though not quite as familiar with hand-to-hand combat styles as she was with weaponry, Tetsuko did know enough to be curious about this exceedingly aggressive set of techniques. 'It's got the striking focus of karate... But not nearly as much defense.' It didn't even really feel like a martial art designed to take people down in a head-on fight... A moment's thought did have Tetsuko realizing this style would be exceedingly effective if you took the opponent by surprise. Perhaps its origins weren't so much in 'self-defense'... But rather, the initiation and swift completion of combat. An almost... Assassin-like art, she supposed.
It wasn't a broken style, but Tetsuko did want to see Feng adapt and evolve it. By moving to the offensive herself, Tetsuko was trying to put it into Feng's mind that she needed to work on flowing between taking and receiving. Putting herself on the backfoot until she had enough space to rush in again wasn't nearly enough. Iron Breaking, a technique suitable for sustained offense, was good at doing just that, as Tetsuko pushed Feng further and further into a corner. Normally, she'd mix it up more, potentially throwing in a Sudden Force or Dragon's Tail. However, right now, she just wanted to see how Feng did under the pressure!
As the rythm continued, tiring Feng to at least get few close calls, Tetsuko knew a counterattack was inevitable. The only other option for Feng, against a continuous assault from someone with as much raw longevity as Tetsuko, was to take a hit, after all.
Sure enough, that counter came, as Feng eventually settled into Tetsuko's rhythm. Knowing your opponent's timing was everything, Tetsuko was glad to see Feng finally understand that. With one missed swing, the other girl burst forward with an uppercut right to the swordswoman's jaw! On reaction, Tetsuko swayed back, gritting her teeth down as the fist clipped her jaw! It wasn't a clean hit, but not a bad one at all, with Tetsuko at least feeling it enough to grin slightly at Feng's learning. But... She still had a ways to go.
'A counter like that... It's a good call for someone like you... But if you're gonna get that close, you need to follow it up...'
Taking the force of the blow and her own sway backwards, Tetsuko pivoted her waist around, using the energy of the strike to her advantage. She raised her rear leg and spun around quickly and fluidly, delivering a sudden pseudo back kick aimed at Feng's core, with a blunt blade shooting from her heel, and returning the force of Feng's attack and then some!

“Tch”
Feng was slightly pissed and did not completely connect but it was a step in the right direction. Her style was not suited or built for prolonged fights like this and it was starting to show at the seams as each punch she threw felt...off. Like she never used her hands in a fight before and it was a significantly different feeling from she does palm strikes or kicks. Maybe her arms were not used to it or one too many bad experiences with punching lead to this situation. Time seemed to slow down as she saw Tetsuko start to react as she extended her leg and Feng could feel a pain go through her core. The breath had been knocked out of her as she flew backwards from the force of the kick.
She quickly regained her composure as she flowed from flying backwards into a back flip as she landed back on her feet. The martial arts girl took a moment to catch her breath and she spit a bit of blood for a moment. Was it from the hit or she bit her tongue down during the hit? Whatever the case she was still in the fight as she looked at the indomitable knight that stood before her. Though that comparison is a bit too much even for her and her rather rampant imagination.
“That hurt….looks like I have to kick it up a notch..”, Feng began to grin as she took her fighting stance. Her breathing and stance started to relax as eyes began to glow bright once again. This was another opponent she must learn from...this is the trail of technique and how to apply her quirk. Standard application ain't going to cut it and she cant just expect her to be smoked out by a few flaming kicks. The schools strongest are above that and she needs to up her game if she even wants to catch up to the best of the best. Majority of her thoughts were thrown out the window as she acted without hesitation as she slammed on the gas as she activated her quirk blasting herself at full force. Playing it safe means nothing if she doesn't have a slightest bit of an advantage.
The martial artist rushed at Tetsuko with great speed as she aimed for her side. It wasn't wide open and she had no openings but she might as well MAKE one. She got within dangerously close range as her eyes remained unblinking. Her eyes were working like crazy as she scanned her opponent as she looked for any passing moment of an opportunity. She became a blur for a moment as she got closer and closer as she got within close proximity of her. Within range, she activated her quirk in rapid succession to build up her speed as she went for a feint and then increased her momentum as she goes for a high speed roundhouse kick.

Tetsuko was lucky when it came to her own choice of martial art, really. Jikishinkage-ryu was the descendant of several different forms of Japanese fencing, with the originators of these forms ranging from well-traveled duelists, warrior priests, and even a former pirate. All men who'd created it as a tool for self-defense, for fighting on even ground. Her sword styles prominence in military teaching only further honed it, creating a modern art that was excellent for prolonged fights on a number of different playing fields.
The only reason any of this was 'lucky', however, was that it made Feng's style somewhat incompatible. For it was quite clearly not suited for long engagements, or even situations in which your opponent might have an advantageous position. Perhaps it really had been born from an assassin's art...
She'd have to reforge it if Feng wanted to continue making use of it. Tetsuko's response to that counter proved effective, Carrying Sword doing its job in returning the attack right back at Feng with extra force. Carrying Sword's main weakness was strings of attacks, but against a full-effort strike it was devastating. After Feng was sent back, Tetsuko lowered her sword to a relaxed guard, prepared for the next attack. Feng was starting to feel the effects of their natural 'incompatibility', Tetsuko noticed. The swordswoman saw fit to let her try and 'evolve' once more, before really going full throttle.
Hardship brought evolution, so Tetsuko wasn't going to make things easy.
Once again, Feng exploded forward towards Tetsuko. Surely repeatedly launching herself wasn't the most energy efficient method, Tetsuko wondered, but Feng didn't seem the type for a more subdued gap closer, really. Once again, Feng flung towards her straight on...
'Disappointing... She only thinks to increase the speed... But it will take more than that...[/color]
Tetsuko remained still, steady, as Feng got closer and closer. No need to rush. With her sword raised, Tetsuko waited until Feng was in close range, and then, just as Feng began her feint... Tetsuko struck. Not with her blade, however. No, as Feng was focusing all her energy and finding an opening, likely on Tetsuko's sword, she would show the girl just what evolution look like. Feng's feint came out, and with her speed, her true attack would strike Tetsuko right in the jaw just as Tetsuko initiated her own attack. With her hand thrust out with a palm strike toward Feng, a sudden flurry of blades burst from her hand, aiming to strike the other girl in anticipation of her head-on assault, a trading of hits, as Tetsuko truly hadn't expected that feint.
Winter Form: Eight Phase Sword
The Shindou girl staggered back from the powerful hit, dazed for a moment. She was getting better, that feint had prevented Tetsuko from fully interrupting Feng's movement, but the results of Tetsuko's own blade palm were to be seen.

Time was moving slowly in Fengs mind as she went through her motions. Her eyes could see the attack coming and it was fast as she went for her strike. But despite the danger and ever growing pressure on her, she felt her attack hit its mark as Tetsuko responded in turn. She grit her teeth and clenched her fists as she felt the flurry hit her all at once as she flew a few feet as she caught herself. Her feet dug into the ground as she stopped her momentum.
The spot where the hit made contact hurt like nothing else she felt in her life. But she kept a calm expression as she rubbed her hand on it for a moment before spitting. She nearly got on a knee for a moment before she stopped herself. “Oh so you actually staggered this time, that's good...looks like there's still room for me to grow if I can do this”, she smirked as she got back into her fighting stance. Pained tone can be felt a slight bit in her voice but she kept herself steeled for more attacks as this was far from over as her mind began to rush with all sorts of ideas.
Her own way of thinking was too limited, she wasn't using her full potential while fighting and the sheer thought of a place higher than where she was before made her blood rush. Excitement was all she could feel as she couldn't help but smile from that point as she tried another method of getting into range. Fengs body moved into position as she recalled some movements from her old days in martial arts school. A few fighters stood out in her mind as she recalled their motions. Her feet lightly dragged on the floor as she created a half circle as she got into stance.
“Lets see how this works…”, she said to herself as she clenched her fists. She shifted her feet slightly as she activated her quirk which made her move like a blur. Feng did not however rush Tetsuko as she did previously. Her aim this time was to try and confuse her and put her on the defensive so she can find an opening more easily. Activating her quirk for a moment as she can conserve her stamina as she moved to spots that were barely out of her opponents reach. The moment she saw any movements that looked at different, she would go in and attempt to hit Tetsukos head, chest and stomach in rapid succession.
