Their baby boy was asleep and Hana was on her stomach making sure from time to time that Kai was in his carrier, and still in the shadow of the beach umbrella. She had taken or more rented a picnic blanket or beach blanket where Hana was now lying down on and tanning a little and reading. She was wearing sunglasses, her hair up in a ponytail and finally wearing a swimming suit as that made her feel better than the bikini's that she had brought along. She had some flowers in her hair, a service of the hotel who did her hair and also braided it apart from the ponytail. It was an interesting thing and she liked the pampering of the hotel a lot, this was life. She read a few things on her phone before she had put it away and read a magazine that she bought. She was frowning a lot because it was in English and she tried to understand. Surely she had English in college but that did not mean that right now it went smooth sailing, but that's why she bought it as well, as a sort of study.
She had no idea at this point if G was still awake and she looked up, he was dozing off for sure, but also he was in the shadows of the beach umbrella so she let it be, even snuggled a little closer by laying on her side. This was their fifth day on Hawaii and time was going so fast. But everything was going better, it pretty much improved already on the second day after they got a decent amount of sleep and playing with their little boy who was now mostly walking by either of their hands. She might suggest walking in a bit too when the two would wake up. She hummed softly to herself now that she was in better conditions and everything. It was going fine and it would stay that one and Hanako was happy and content with herself. She noticed that after a while Kai woke up and she took him out of the carrier and lifted him on her lap as she sat upright, "Are you hungry my dear?" She got the banana that was left over from herself and tried to crumb off little pieces so he would eat it. He seemed to be quite content as he held her and ate it, she tried to keep his hands of the fruit so it wouldn't become dirty but anyway she would be prepared.

It was the beach, and it was 5 days later after their arrival at Hawaii, and now G, Hana and Kai were all chilling at the beach once again. Hana was on her stomach making sure that Kai was ok. They were in the shade, more importantly Kai was in the shade. G meanwhile, well he was also on his stomach, but he was having a light nap while his back was getting a tan.
He was dozing off, but still semi alert as he personally didnt like to sleep at the beach. Waking him up was incredibly easy, which was something that happened when Hana started to hum. He woke up, but didnt move as he pretended to sleep still or at least until Kai woke up. But Kai woke up pretty much very fast, almost at the same time as him. So G did the same, as he turned around to sit and stretch. Once he positioned himself, he saw Hana feeding Kai with a banana, which made him smile
"How is my wonderful family?" he asked Hana
G considered getting a snack as well, but before he did he just wanted to take a moment to admire both Hana and Kai

Kai seemed restless while she tried to give him the banana. Kicking his little chubby legs and arms while trying to grab the fruit from her and looking everywhere but at Hanako. "Calm down, superman. First, eat." She hushed to him and tried to sit him on her folded knee, as she sat cross-legged and tried to lean him in her arm and hold his hand away from the one that held the fruit. This was going to take ages if he did it like this but eventually she managed and she shortly looked up at Gil. "Did you rest alright?" She asked, she sort of assumed his question was a rhetorical one, they were doing fine and it was obvious in the way of where they sat, her skin being already more bronze coloured than before, you could see the lines of her bikini as her swimsuit was different. Kai started to whine, not really cry and she put the banana back and put him on his legs. While she kept an eye on him, she tried to bring the banana back in the cooler that they brought, she would be able to catch him if he would drop.
She sighed softly, "Maybe we could go for a walk, he seems so restless." Unfair, he just finished his nap and she was the one that had not slept. She tried to get out of that rhythm now and then. They would have a few more moments before they would have to go to G's family and Hanako might try and push that thought away (but not directly forgetting time) as she was nervous. What would they think of her? Would they hate her? Had G told them what happened before? It was scary for sure. She stood up, dusted herself off with sand and caught her little monkey and lifted him above her and simply played with him. He sort of kept running away from her and it made her laugh but she would catch him rather quickly again.

Kai seemed excited as his kicked his tiny legs while trying to grab the fruit or anything from Hana. He made G chuckle, Kai was so cute. Hana, soon looked at G and asked him if he rested well. G nodded, "I did. But I dunno how long did I nap for. What time is it?"
He also noticed Hana didnt answer his question. Bummer. Yeah sure its obvious they were well, but it was nice to hear something good, it didnt have to be bad news all the time. Hearing nice stuff was well... nice! Maybe he should tell Hana he wasnt being rhetorical.
Soon his attention was diverted back to Kai who started to whine, he really was cute. He watched Hana put Kai on his legs and she kept an eye on him. G soon scooted over and held Kai for Hana as she went to put the banana back in the mini cooler fridge they got. "Dont worry dear. I'll hold him for you" G said as he held Kai, making sure he doesnt fall and hurt himself After that Hana sighed and suggesed they go for a walk since Kai was full of energy "Hey, want me go take him for a walk. We were both sleepyheads and have energy to burn. If you want you can rest here and hold down the fort?" G asked and suggested. Like, he and Kai were the ones that napped and yet Hana didnt. Maybe it was fair that she got to do that for a bit. But if she didnt want that and wanted to go for a walk, G was more then fine with that! He always loved being with Hana. But this wasnt about what he wants. This was about what Hana wants. He wanted to give her anything and everything. So if she wanted to rest, he was gonna make sure she gets some rest |

"We still have time," She kissed him on the cheek as he scooted closer to hold Kai. She smiled as she made sure to clean her hand with the little napkins she had. It would be a lot easier this way and she didn't want sticky hands thanks to the fruit. She was glad G was there too, because even if she tried to keep her eyes on Kai, it was difficult to find the cooler without watching. In the end it was a little more to her left than she had thought. She suggested to go for a walk and pouted a little, she would be okay if G wanted to just spend time with Kai, "no, I don't want to sleep. I want to see him walk too." She was still so happy he did that and that he was also busy discovering things. Eating sand was not that great but at the moment she had managed with G to not let him eat sand so it worked. "Can we leave our stuff here or would that be dangerous?" She mostly meant the colour and the baby bag. She took her almost see-through vest and put her phone in the pocket of that thing and everything else that was important, their wallets were not here but the key of the hotel room was useful. It was the beach of the hotel, so only guests would be able to steal stuff and there were still a sort of guards of the hotel, so she was sure it was fine. After all they could only steal food or the diapers, not something that would make you really happy. She lifted up Kai and played with him for a bit, making wee sounds when she let him in the air before she put him down and took his little hand, she indicated for G to hold his other hand, so they could walk with the three of them. Not too far after all.
"Its a shame we didn't get a picture of his first steps." She made sure his little hat was fine so he wouldn't get the sun too harshly on his little face and she checked if his skin wasn't burning hot, he seemed to be fine and the sunblock for him must still work. For a bit, they could probably just walk without her fuzzing over everything. She just wanted them to have fun and soon they would have to go anyway.

G heard Hana say that they still had time, he nodded, but blushed when she kissed him. He quickly did the same because he could not resist kissing her back instantly. After which he helped hold Kai while she puts the banana away and cleans her hands. Hana then suggested a walk for Kai since he was energetic and G being mindful of Hana, asked if she would like to rest. And of course it paid off to be mindful and ask as she pouted and said that she wants to see Kai walk. G smiled and kissed Hana again "Alright cutie"
Hana then asked if they can leave their stuff. G raised his hand and index finger to speak "I..... have no idea." he then shrugged "I mean, if you want we can take a walk around and keep an eye on our stuff or" he then looks around "We can ask someone close by to watch our stuff" he would do that sometimes, ask another beach person to take a look at his stuff while he was absent. Usually he'd look at someone reliable like a fellow family. Elderly people too, younger ones were ususally the theives and pickpockets, so he didnt trust a certain demographic. But once again, this was a suggestion and he was glad to hear Hana's opinions and input before making any major decision. Like, he wasnt in Hawai for over 20 years. He has no clue how things might have changed
He watched as Hana took her nearly see through vest and took her phone as well as everything else that was important. He smiled as he loved how responcible she was. Hana then lifted Kai and played with him a bit and made cute sounds, but soon she took one hand and indicated to G to hold his other hand. G had a huuuge smile and soon grabbed Kai's other hand. He was unbelievably happy as he honestly forgot this was a thing. Both parents holding their childs hand, walking them. He remembers that now, when he was small. When his parents were nice to him before he got his quirk. He remembers that in Hawaii. Safe to say, G was feeling very emotional and nostalgic
He was soon snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Hana speak how it was a shame they didnt photograph Kai's first steps.
"Oh shoot! I totally forgot about it. I got so carried away by his steps!" G exclaimed as he facepalmed lightly with his free hand

She pouted again because he called her a cutie, unfair. But she was slightly tired, she hoped that becoming active it would help her stay awake again and obviously eating in a bit would probably help as well. She did not have to yawn or anything, that was a good thing and Hanako continued to make sure that she got everything. She did not plan to go far and nodded at G's first statement, "He is small, I don't think it would be good if we trail off too far anyway." She indicated to Kai and would manage to go on and grab their important stuff and make sure everything else was packed, sacked and closed so nothing would blow away from the soft breeze or something and she fuzzed over her son, shortly to make sure he would not get any issues from the sun.
When everything was good, she played with him shortly to make him giggle and put his little hat back on correctly before she took his hand and indicated to G to take his other hand. He looked smiling up to them before trying to take steps, he was a bit wobbly, but the support from both parents surely helped with keeping him upright. She mentioned they never got a picture from Kai's first steps but she shook her head, "Me too, it's sometimes also the best to just live the moment." She would hopefully just remember with the other pictures that they made of Hawaii. "Do you know that thing where you sling your little baby about, by lifting him on his arms?" She told G, explaining it a little better in a bit, she wanted to try that, it might be more annoying for G as he was taller and thus the distance and so on was better but she wanted to try it. Not too far or high because Kai was so small but she held on and counted to three and slung little Kai a little up and he laughed loudly, "I am so glad he always seems so happy." She mused softly to herself. She had been afraid for what became of him after his birth but there seemed to be no traces of the days in the hospital, of him being sick. They were all fine and they could enjoy Hawaii. She counted after a few more steps again to three and did the same to hear him laugh loudly.

G nodded as Hana made a good point, Kai is small and he cant go far. Yeah G didnt think of that. So once they took the important stuff and when each held Kai, they would slowly go. Kai was so cute as he was a bit wobbly, but with their support Kai managed to do it. Hana mentioned how they didnt take a photo of him walking which caused G to facepalm and say how he got carried away by the moment, to which Hana said that she did too but maybe it was for the best as it was good to live in the moment. G nodded.
But soon when he heard Hana's next suggestion his eyes lit up as soon nostalgia once again hit him, with a blast! Thats what he was thinking about! But he couldnt word it! Yes, when the parents hold their young one and swing it. Yes, he remembers that with his parents and he LOVED it! Kai was gonna be the luckiest boy in the universe as he was gonna soon experience greatness.
"Do I know it?! I know it alright!" G said a bit too happily and too eager. "I always wanted to do that!" he said. Yes, he missed those swings and he now wondered what was it like to give those swings. Yes, he was eager to try. Kai you lucky boy
"So, wanna do it on 3?!" G asked Hana happily, almost sounding as if he was gonna get the sling treatment. Once Hana agreed the two counted to 3 and soon they slung Kai and he laughed loudly. Hana said she is so glad Kai was happy, while G was teary eyed, he had tears of joy thats how happy he was. Hearing Kai laugh like that after getting the sling was amazing. G quickly wiped those tears as he didnt wanna worry Hana.

She laughed, Kai laughed, G laughed and Hanako had only eyes for her little son who laughed and giggled loudly when they swung him up and she suggested to do it again and another time. They as parents helped their little one step around and she laughed, it was a joyous moment and time went rather fast because it was such a nice moment and she was just so happy. But he got tired, their little one from all the fun and he tried to walk, look up at them, laugh but his eyes dropped too. She watched as he held up his hands to his papa to be carried, he didn't say anything but a form of a sound Eh? and she gave him a weak smile and watched G carry him. He wrapped his arms around his papa's neck and put his head on his father's shoulder and closed his eyes. "Let's go back and make sure to get dressed, it will soon be time to meet your family." She suggested, holding on to G's elbow so he could support Kai and did not have to worry about her.
She slowly walked back to the place where they left their stuff. She took the baby bag and their cooler, it was quite heavy but she would manage, she did not want G to let go of Kai. If he would suggest he could hold the bag, she would help him by putting it on his free shoulder and would carry the cooler and the blanket for herself. As the beach umbrella was from the hotel, she did not have to worry about that. She opened their door and would help G to get Kai in his carrier so they would bring him later, she put his little plushy with him and a blanket so he wouldn't get cold. She quickly kissed G on his cheek as she would pass him and go to the bathroom to use some body lotion, check her hair and would change her swimming suit into a dress. She put some make-up on her face, checked her tan with a giggle and how her pale skin was by far pale and the blue dress she bought before looked a little different. She twirled in front of the mirror, checking herself and her hair and just be distracted by it. She would make sure to look fine.

They all laughed, they were all happy. Eventually Kai got tired, well with reason! Time few! G looked at Kai who held up his hands wanting G to carry him. G had this dopey smile on his face as he gladly picked up his son and held him in his arms. G then kissed Hana on the cheek just because he cant resist to do that when he sees her.
G looked at Kai and smiled when the boy wrapped his tiny hands around his neck and rested his head on his shoulder. Such a cutie. G then looked at Hana who suggested they get going to get dressed. G nodded "Yeah, you're right. Lets go"
The family slowly walked back to their spot. Hana took the baby bag and their cooler. G watched nd wonder can she manage and should they switch.
"Hana, need help? We can switch" G suggested to her. Hana agreed so she put it on his free shoulder. Good, that way he can carry and help her. Thus went they were all set they left. Soon when they got to their room Hana quickly kissed G on the cheek. He blushed, but realized it was the 'payback' for his earlier kiss, so he smiled.
In their room they got ready to meet his family. While Hana went to be pretty, G was pretty much goin the casual route, not worrying too much what he has. When Hana was done with the dress up and the make up, G would whistle and tell her how she looks good. After which he would look at his watch to see the time. Mhm, yep. With a nod he confirmed they still had time. They were not gonna be late. But with the two getting all ready and dressed up, G went to see Kai to see if he was all ready for it

So after looking over her shoulder and checking herself, the door of the bathroom open, she heard a whistle. She looked up with a surprised look on a face and an expression that quickly turned into blushy cheeks and a small smile. "Thank you." She said before finally getting done and making sure that she put her phone, wallet and the keys in her handbag now that she wouldn't wear the vest. "Don't wake him." She said as she shortly showed up next to G and spoke in a soft manner. She put her hand on his chest and leaned with her head against his arm. Looking at her baby, he was obviously tired and a little tan, she should try to get his t-shirt on, but she did not want to wake him. For now it was fine, she could put the clothes for him in the baby bag, the blanket would help him be okay against the sun and not get a sunburn and his little hat was still on as well to protect his head.
"Is it far from here? Should we take a bus or will we walk?" She put Kai's little t-shirt and pants in the baby bag and checked if she had enough diapers and so on. She had everything, she put the little container with melon in there as well and went to find the right shoes that would fit with her dress. The smile on Hanako's face has disappeared as she thought about what they were going to do. She was getting nervous, she wanted to make a good impression, she was nervous of what they would think of her? Would they know how destructive she was? But alas she could not cancel and she wouldn't be a coward so she would just let him lead her to where to go and how to get there to meet at the small restaurant... if you could call it that. It was more of a beach seat, with picnic tables and a caravan that seemed to be the snack mobile or whatever. It seemed to be the best shrimp, fries and other lunch items in town.

He adored Hana, how she looked and how she felt. It was amazing. He loved how everything was all so smooth. To new beginnings. Yes. They were gonna be happy and they would work together and do everything. Hana blushed and thanked G for his compliment. After which he went to check on a sleeping Kai. Soon Hana approached the boys and whispered to G not to wake him. G nodded in agreement. Hana placed her hand on his chest and leaned with her head against his arm. He blushed as they both looked at the baby. He was tired and tanned and oh so cute. They considered putting on his t-shirt, but they didnt want to wake up Kai. Ultimately, they decided it was fine. The blanket would cover him and shield him from the sun and he had his lil hat to protect his head.
Hana asked G if their meeting place was far, should they walk or not. G shook his head "Its close. We're meeting at Kamekona's. Its relatively close. We can get on time" G spoke quietly as to not wake up Kai. He watched as she placed the t-shir and pants in the baby bag and made a last few checks if they had enough diapers and the like. Once they were all set to go. G would reassure Hana that it would go alright. Yes, he saw how nervous she was. But he assured her that she will be well loved and received and all around accepted.
After that, he escorted Hana to the meeting place. G hasnt been there in like forever, so he texted his fam for instructions, just to make sure G's hazy memory doesnt lead him astray. They soon arrived at the place, G honestly barely remembered it, after all 20 years passed. Hell even more.
Soon, he sees his family arrive all... 3 of them. Wait, since when was there 3 of them. Like he recognized 2 of his cousins, but who was the small cat girl "Gil! Long time no see!" Mele greeted as she arrived and greeted her long lost cousin with open arms. After a greeting and a hug, she approaches Hana "Ah! You must be Hanako. Its nice to finally meet you!" Mele spoke in english. She wasnt good at Japanese. Its pretty much like a Hana situation when it comes to english. If there was one thing that was easy to notice, white hair usually runs in the family. So the fact Kai has black hair shows Hana has some real strong genes.
The other cousin, Kale, the male who mildly looks like a more cultured version of G, politely greeted Hana. He wasnt sure if he should speak english or Japanese, so he played it by ear.
The young one who G hasnt met actually ran up to hug a confused G, as he didnt know he had a new cousin in his absence. So there was some getting to know on his part as well

Even when he tried to calm her down, it did not work. She put the bag next to her on one of the benches and went to sit down. That was, however, a short moment as she had missed that his cousins were already here. She had to be honest, not really paid attention else it had been difficult to miss. She got up though on time before she was hugged by well a person. She froze and tried to smile and not look like this was the most horrible thing in her life. She did not like hugs from strangers and tried to tell herself again and again that it was important to make a good impression and that meant she couldn't constantly fuzz over her baby boy, she had to talk to them and so on. She hated how the woman named her husband Gil but she said nothing obviously. "Nicu to meet you." She said quite properly if she said so herself. She had a shy smile on her face, not entirely too happy but she tried very hard.
The resemblance with his other cousin was surprising and she found it uncomfortable too, she wished G would put Kai in his carrier on the table so she could fuzz over him and she quickly looked at the last cousin. What to say?

Mele smiled, yes she understood Hana and her having difficulties with english. Indeed, she had the same with Japanese. But she did not switch to Japanese, because she believed Hana did a good job with english.
"Nice to meet you too. My name is Mele. And this is my lil sister Kono. That there is our cousin Kale"
"Pleased to meet you. I hope you enjoyed your stay here"
During the mingling, G got Kai and put him in his carrier on the table.
The youngest one, Kono was the one who fuzzed over Kai and said how cute he was. Actually she fuzzed over everyone, G and Hana included. They were cool to her and Hana was pretty to her. It was all so neat to her. Mele then insisted that they treat G, Hana and Kai since they were guests here in Hawaii, so the family was free to order whatever they wanted and said that they can cover the expenses. It helps knowing the owner as well as being family. All in all, they tried make the couple like they were at home. G meanwhile was overwhelmed and surprised that Kono even existed. He had no idea he had her as a cousin. Also he was pretty fine with Mele and Kale. But he was there supporting Hana and making sure they dont overwhelm her. He understands her position, in a foreign land meeting foreign people. He can imagine her being shy. So he was there when he needed her. He also tried to make small talk, just so they dont pile on to her. He wanted Hana to feel comfortable. Actually, they all did |

Whyyy did everyone had names with L's in there. She already hated how she said Gil wrong, maybe she should see it as a blessing now though that she said like Giru and Mele still obviously called him Gil. It was also slight jealousy and she looked at Kono, at least her name was easy. The other two she would maybe only talk to as they looked at her, so she wouldn't have to say names. She did not want to be rude but it was the only way she would be able to pronounce it without stuttering and turning bright red. Hanako wanted to fuzz over Kai, so because she wasn't doing it, she pouted without knowing.
She watched Kono look at her little baby and she was pouting a little more and her eyes went from one to another without actually saying anything. She thanked them though politely for the compliments and offering the food and she wasn't sure if that was normal but it was very kind anyway. She took that moment to sit down and look at the menu and was surprised how much she could understand and how much was food she would order at home as well. Of course, both countries so to say were islands so it wasn't that big of a surprise that they served shrimp and she looked up when one of them said it was the best in the country and she smiled.
She listened mostly during their conversations, she noticed the guys sometimes made sure to translate for her and she blushed a little and said it was fine, if they didn't talk too fast on in the language of Hawaii, she would obviously understand. She only looked again as if she was obsessed with the menu when they talked about quirks and she wasn't sure if they should mention the little thing that Kai did, or that they had made up that it was Kai, she wasn't even sure. She wasn't sure how to talk at all. Until they looked at her, oh, she had missed the question. Before she could say anything either of his cousins asked about her quirk and her eyes shot to G before turning back to the menu. "I don't have any." She felt that sort of jealousy she had as a kid but tried to subdue it. Her son would get one, he wouldn't be the odd one out with a father like G. She would watch and support him but she could not do much herself.
