Yuuto was again down the hall near the entrance of the tournament, quietly reflecting and brushing up his techniques and strategies while he waited for the right time to come out. The last match was quite the fight as it turned out as his opponent put his all into that. He was the first one to see his quirk at full force and it made his blood burn when it came down to the techniques he used. It was a drag out brawl that had both sides panting for air and in the end the Sea King triumphed over the Bone Lord of 1-B. But his outfit was heavily damaged and the weapons that accompanied it were not as durable as he thought. The sword held up but everything else was in tatters.
As a result, he switched up his hero outfit due to him feeling a bit weird with the cape on and it was starting to get hot. As a result he donned a rather stylish rendition of a samurai outfit in its place and he felt a lot better wearing it. It felt more natural for him to wear it as it came with a sword and a gauntlet in place of a gun. Which is for the best since he doesn't have the best marksmanship and despises fighting from afar due to his own pride.
But in his mind, all he could think about instead of his victory was what he could have improved on. Several mistakes gave his opponent the upper hand and cost him much of his advantage thanks to it. Many of his movements wasted too much stamina and it accumulated into a few dozen attacks that could have ended the match if he didn't block them. He needs to rethink his outfit as well as much of the design wasn't keen on agreeing with his quirk and he made need to use the one he is wearing in the meantime as he figures everything out.
While waiting, he kept his brain sharp as he was playing on his phone playing shogi. His ears were open as he played match after match against the AI. It was all a puzzle that was ever growing and all he can do is figure it out chunk by chunk through study. He didn't know who his next opponent was as he can never seem to predict any of them right.Another part of me wants to cunning without looking punkish for this next one since his face is more visible in this hero suit compared to the last one. He combed his hair right as he wouldn't appear as punkish but he may need to cut it once this is all done because it's not working at all.
As his name was called up finally as they were announcing things, he walked real stoically to conserve energy as he went into the light down the hall. To his surprise, it was a place that reminded him of his aunt's place as it was a bamboo forest. Familiar territory for someone dress liked Yuuto as it felt like home. It looks straight out of an old fashioned samurai flick and he was doing his best to not wig out over the sight of it. He waited for the signal before dashing into the forest with a sword drawn and reenacting his delusion of a samurai fight in a bamboo forest.
All of his chunni senses were firing off as he was holding himself back from getting all giddy for the sake of his outer persona. But he will slip up in the dumbest way as he took a seat on a nearby rock and sat like a samurai without even realizing. The last thing that put the nail into the coffin was the first words that came out of his mouth after.
“ The Shark Samurai, Yuuto Samejima has arrived,de-gozaru !”, he said without realizing. His sister and mother were of course laughing like crazy as they were the only ones who knew of this habit of his as they waited for the actual start of the match. But for the most part he was having fun with it as he took out a fake pipe to entertain the crowd before his opponent comes out.

Alright, one final chance! No room for mistakes or regrets! I just need to do my best! I won't disappoint those who are watching!Kumoko was doing her best to pump herself up for the tournament fight. Despite losing her match with Graham, the spider girl was not too upset by the loss. She had learned from the fight, knowing what she did wrong and what to avoid doing for next time. Because while their match was over, Kumoko was determined to someday give Graham a proper fight. But until then, she definitely had to improve herself. But this was a new match, a new opponent, a new chance to try and shine. It was also a new playing field, one that Kumoko definitely preferred over the previous one. Alright! I'm totally in my element in this arena! Still, the terrain was but only one of many factors that decided a match. Another factor was how well she could prepare herself. She did bring many of the same things she brought to the last fight, including the hero suit she had sewn herself with her own silk, the gauntlets that fired her webs through the holes in the palms (and said webs were brought in from the spinneret on the back of her head thanks to the clear plastic pipes that ran from her head and back and connected to the gauntlets), the slingshot which was her primary offensive tool, the goggles that served to both enhance her vision and protect her eyes, and the utility belt that carried a bunch of things. In addition to the pellets for the slingshot, the belt had pouches containing some first-aid stuff and a vial of antidote for her venom. Not for herself (as she did not get nauseous from her own venom), but for her opponent in case the spider girl was forced to actually bite him. But Kumoko also brought a couple of new things with her. Not too much, as then Kumoko would be slowed down by all the weight. But the new things would hopefully be enough. Besides sewing some extra pockets on the suit, they were all basic gear she had crafted herself. There was some rope and several capsules containing nets. These were primarily to try and restrain her opponent in the event that she needed to conserve her webs or was unable to produce them. Of the three nets, one was equipped with a modified taser that would deliver a weak electrical charge upon being deployed. It was too weak for serious damage, and was meant more for aiding in restraining its target. There were also three smoke balls. Nothing too fancy, and the smoke was not think enough to actually blind someone for more than a second if that. But it would hopefully be useful to deter any attack attempts and make a decent escape tool if Kumoko got cornered. And finally, a small vial of slippery gel meant to make her opponent slip and fall in case he tried to give chase. Speaking of her opponent, Kumoko would be matched against Yuuto for this fight. While she had met him before, the spider-headed girl was not that familiar with his quirk or how it worked exactly. But all she knew was that like Graham, it was best to not underestimate Yuuto. After all, he was in the hero course, so it was expected for him to be skilled in combat. Much more so than her. Of course, Kumoko felt nervous. Just like last time. But still, there was not much else to do but just ignore the nervousness as best as she could. Unlike last match, however, Kumoko would not start dancing to a certain song for the sake of referencing a very old movie and meme. While it was funny at the time and certainly helped the girl with her nerves, it was also painfully embarrassing. Plus, Kumoko liked to mix things up and make each of her matches unique. So why repeat the same routine? There would be no song, no fancy dancing, no meme, and most importantly, no trip- "Oof! Owwwww."The spider girl sighed as she tripped and fell on her way to the arena. Dang it, of course this is the one thing that has to stay the same. Still, one fall would not keep the girl down for long. She quickly got back up, entered the arena, and smiled in her usual cheery fashion. "I'm okay!" Because while the poor girl was notorious for tripping, she refused to ever stay down for too long. Plus, it would be extremely anticlimactic and boring if Yuuto won the match by doing absolutely nothing. He deserved an actual fight, not just Kumoko taking herself out. Taking a look at Yuuto's outfit, Kumoko was definitely impressed. Samurai theme, huh? I know a certain friend who would like that. But now was not the time to talk fashion. It was time to greet her opponent. Unlike Yuuto, Kumoko had no idea what to do or say. She just went with what she could think of in that moment. Heart, honestly, and the truth. "Ah, to be honest, I don't really have a fancy greeting or battle cry or anything. Sorry to disappoint in that department. But anyway, here's to a nice and satisfyingly fun match!" Kumoko smiled and lowered her head in a bow. Not much else she could do, but sometimes, it was better to just be simple rather than risk going for something more exciting and just outright failing. Then, for a moment, Kumoko's expression shifted. It was just like at the end of the match with Graham. For a moment, Kumoko was not the sweet and shy spider girl. Her expression was serious and oddly calm despite her nerves. "I don't intend to go easy on you. So please come at me with everything you've got, because I promise I'll do the same." And with that said, Kumoko smiled cheerfully. "Either way, no hard feelings regardless of who wins here." Because that would be the last thing Kumoko would want. And with that, it was time to wait for the start of the tournament to be declared. Once both students were ready, the match could start. Kumoko looked forward to seeing how much Yuuto could push her, and ultimately see if she had what it took to take him on. Alright, whatever happens here, I just need to do my best to shine. No stressing out, no disappointment, no regrets. Now let's do this!WC 1000+

Yuuto sat in waiting as he heard his opponent make their entrance. Albeit he heard her fall on the way there, which is a bit comical all things considering. Much to his surprise, it was a familiar face that he had met before on a few occasions. Kumoko is an unmistakable individual as seen from both personality and quirk. A giant spider head doesn't leave much in the way of mistaking her for someone else and the first impressions must be a nightmare for herself and people.
But she was the last person he wanted to fight in an arena like this, he was more close combat oriented focused on rush down and various other tactics that favor a more direct approach. The arena presents a huge obstacle in terms of layout and hazards. He can use it to his advantage and she can use it vice versa. Going off what he remembers from the few times he fought alongside her, she has the abilities a spider does and then some. Webs and the fact that she is a support student is going to pose a massive issue for him. Their class has shown how capable they are from what they have seen of them and what they can do with their quirk. What she lacks in power can be made up in ingenuity and tactics.
He can of course take her on in a forward fight but he has to be smart about it. The few friendly interactions makes her seem like a non threat but she's in the tourney for a reason. Can’t underestimate any opponent, especially support students in this case. Yuuto can of course tell that she came armed with everything. A suit, gauntlets, and a belt with various things. Might as well go at her at full force and give her a show. Despite her introductory remark, her voice went into a tone he had never heard her in and it damn well surprised him, but she quickly shifted back to her normal voice after that.’Looks like the fun never ends for me as I’m getting the fired up ones….I damn well glad that I'm gettin em….so let's give em a show to remember’, he thought as he got the creaks out of his neck
After that he took.a deep breath to process how serious she is about this. Of course he grinned as he responded to his usual tune but more respectful, “That was my plan from the get go, If I held back then that is the same as disrespecting your efforts...so may the best fighter win”, standing up and adjusting his stance as he looked at his opponent dead on.
It was then complete silence in the arena as the crowd slowly got quiet as a calm wind blew through the bamboo forest. The cool breeze can be felt as his hair moved ever so slightly in the wind as he looked at Kumoko with a serious look in his eyes. Scene is set and both fighters are ready, it was only a matter of time before the signal was given. Tension built up more and more as each second felt like an eternity.
5 ... 4 …. 3 …. 2 ... 1-
The signal went off and it reverberated through the field as the crowds cheering exploded all around as the sign of action had begun and Yuuto quickly drew his blade. The look on his eyes was excited as he made the first move. A ball of energy with a chain attached to it blasts off from behind him and towards a clearing in between the bamboo forest. It soon formed into Razor who was more samurai themed as well in his full regalia. In that same moment, he commanded Razor to pull the chain and pull him away from Kumoko. Quickly landing on his back, he’d grip the chain with the gauntlet hand and made Razor move towards the Bamboo thicket.
“She is going to pelt me down with projectiles and she can easily get around my defense, so I have to move quickly and carefully… Use setting to my advantage..”, he thinks to himself as he grips the blade in one hand and a chain in another.

Kumoko smiled. Yes, she was nervous. Yes, she was unsure if she even had a chance against Yuuto. And yes, she expected to get beaten down and thrown out of the tournament if Yuuto was indeed going at this with everything he had. But still, Kumoko was happy. She did not have to worry about upsetting her opponent. Regardless of what would happen, both students would try their hardest in this fight, and both students would do their best to make this a fun time.
I have no doubt you'll be able to keep me on my toes. I'll do my best to make sure I can do the same to you.
And with the start of the match, it was time for some action! Kumoko did not do much but observe for now, seeing what Yuuto planned on doing. And after taking out his awesome-looking summon (but no time to fangirl about that now!), his first move was to... move away? Oh? You're not approaching me? Though the spider-headed girl did her best to not visibly show it, she was indeed confused. Why isn't he coming after me directly? I'm not very good at close-range combat. Or does he not know that? No, maybe it's something else. Is he being cautious? Perhaps because he doesn't know what I can do? Or does he have a strategy of some kind? What are you planning, Yuuto-san?
Whatever reason Yuuto had for not approaching Kumoko, the spider girl was immensely relieved that he was not coming after her. That meant that she had some room to breathe. More importantly, it meant that she could back away and move around and attack from a distance as well. She was fine with this. Range was what she was good at. So just like Yuuto, Kumoko decided to retreat into the bamboo thicket, but in the opposite direction from Yuuto. She knew she could not avoid him forever. She knew that she would either eventually be forced to go after him, or get ready for him to come after her.
Either way, Kumoko's strategy was not to simply run away and hide. She wanted to make use of her surroundings. Use the bamboo thicket to hide not just herself, but a few traps that she wished to hide that could maybe come in handy later. I can't use too much, but maybe a little... At certain points, Kumoko began laying down some of her webs, mostly in the shadows of the bamboo to try and make them less noticeable. She also decided to place a few strings of web in more obvious spots. Her reasoning was that the obvious and easy to spot webs would help conceal the less obvious strings.
In short, should Yuuto decide to come after Kumoko, he would discover a few golden strings of web lying around on the floor, or hanging low on the bamboo. Whether he chose to slice through them or avoid them, he would need to get past the strings of web somehow, and that was when he would encounter the hidden strings, hopefully by tripping or getting entangled in them due to these not being as out in the open.
But simply tripping Yuuto or hoping to slow him down by making him cautious was not Kumoko's true goal. While remaining in hiding, the spider girl wanted to observe her opponent, and more importantly, see how he and his summon moved around. If there was anything she could learn about her opponent, then Kumoko was determined to get any form of useful information. Of course, should Yuuto aim to try to ambush Kumoko by slowly sneaking up on her by hiding among the bamboo, she hoped that he would casually brush on one of the hidden web strings. Doing so would cause the string to move. That movement, if it was close enough to the spider girl, would be picked up by her spider senses, letting her know that her opponent was close by.
And should he choose to stay away and not come after her at all? That was fine too. It meant that Kumoko could sit there and think of a strategy. She already knew that this would not end up being a battle of attrition. Eventually, one opponent would come after the other. But who would crack first? Who would end up playing the role of predator? And who would become the prey? Kumoko wanted to do her best to prepare for either possibility.
Will the shark sink his teeth into the spider? Or will she entangle the shark in her web?

Yuuto held onto the chain tightly as the Razor ran through the bamboo. He uses the sword on him to cut through the thicket to open up more room in the area for him. His eyes were scanning his surroundings as he cut, watching for Kumoko and any moves as he strided through. ‘I could've just rushed her but she may have a few tricks up her sleeve for that if that ever happens..”, he thought to himself as Razor ran through the forest. He didn't want to overestimate or underestimate his opponent but there is too little he knows on what she can do barring the obvious focal point. He quickly changed his normal path as he ran towards the center.
Noting surroundings was another thing he did as he came to a sudden stop as his eyes scanned the other parts of the thicket. He of course lost track of her as he was the one who ran away first but wanted to confirm a few things as he stood atop Razor while he waited at the center. Bright Yellow eyes sweeping across the entire field as he tried to find any sign of her.
He wanted to confirm a few things with his actions. First assumption was her going for the primitive shot with whatever she has on her to confirm if she had any sort of firearms. Since she didn't shoot first, she either does not have one or one that requires a bit of loading before it can be used. Second assumption was to see how she reacts to him being at the center, if she takes the shot then that means that she has a weapon and his first assumption is correction while revealing her battle strategy. Third assumption is the idea that she will set up traps with her quirk as he gave her some time if she did. Fourth and final assumption is that she is planning something he stood in the center as each second that passes gave her more time to think
It was painfully big of him to think this much but in an arena like this, it was better to think ahead than go ahead blindly. He has the advantage in close range combat but he has to see what his opponent can do first before pressing.’I can’t assume I’m right...but I might as well do some gardening while I wait’, he thought to himself as he eyed some bamboo near him. He knew what he was going to do and commanded Razor to slash through the thicket and cut down the bamboo. Since they were long and sturdy, he might as well use them to his advantage. This place is a playground for her, a quirk like hers but also for him as he is always the type to get creative in a situation like this.
So he went to work as he slashed a bunch of bamboo down. His plans were set in motion as he was ok with the amount he cut down. He commanded Razor to pick up as much as he could carry. Yuuto went to work as he threw each piece of bamboo out into the forest as much as he could. Spiders mean threads and threads mean webs mean traps as she could have laid them across various areas. He made a guess and acted on it based on what he knew.
The moment he heard any movement from what he did, he’d command Razor to grab a hold of him and fast ball special himself at her. Turning Razor into a weapon and promptly slash at Kumoko for the first strike.

Kumoko was well aware that she could not remain hidden forever. It would not be fair to Yuuto to have this match become a dragged out stall fest. Kumoko wanted to use this match to show the crowd what she was capable of, not just run away and hide. Besides, she knew that sooner or later, Yuuto would choose to come after her. It would be disadvantageous for the spider girl to allow her opponent to get the jump on her. No, it was imperative that she kept her eyes on him at all times. It did not even have to be literally. As long as she could hear him, as long as her senses did not fail her, she could try and formulate a plan.
Closing her eyes, Kumoko waited and listened, paying attention to the web strings that she had layed down. The moment one of them moved, the moment she sensed even a bit of motion, she would know that he was coming, that something was coming.
And then, she heard it. A faint sound of something hitting one of her strings. There! Taking out her slingshot, Kumoko began to get ready to move, to ready herself for an attack.
Wait a minute... But then something occurred to her. What if Yuuto hits my web strings, but it's not him directly? It was a scary possibility, but one she needed to consider. Is he baiting me? It was not impossible. What if that summon of Yuuto's was the one who triggered the string? If that was the case, and Kumoko lunged at it, then it was likely that Yuuto would be waiting for Kumoko to reveal her position, then go ahead and ambush her while she fell for his trap. Or perhaps the summon did not even have to trigger the strings itself. What if it cut pieces of bamboo and... That has to be it! Yuuto's trying to trip my traps while making me think it's him! Very clever!
But now the girl was in a dilemma. It was clear that she could not hide forever. The longer she hid, the more bamboo Yuuto could choose to cut down, leaving the spider girl with less places to hide. More importantly, less bamboo meant less cover for her strings, which would render them useless if they were clearly visible. But Kumoko knew that she could not just charge at Yuuto. Perhaps it would be good to attack him now, but if that string that got moved wasn't actually him, then the girl was risking putting herself in a trap. And the moment Yuuto or his summon got close enough...
No! I can't let the match end that quickly! Come on, Kumoko! Think! What should I...
But then something happened. If the girl had a light bulb on top of her head, it would be glowing brightly. Kumoko grinned widely. I have an idea! Perhaps hiding was not the solution. She decided to take a gamble. She knew that if she leapt out of her hiding place, Yuuto could come after her. But what if she could make it so that doing so was a mistake? Yes, I'll be the trap! Now let's see if Yuuto will take the bait.
Kumoko went to work immediately. As soon as she heard another web string vibrate from being hit, she took out one of her smoke balls. With her other free hand, she grabbed her slingshot, having a pellet loaded in already. Now normally, the girl would need two hands to use her slingshot. One to hold the thing, and the other to pull back. But for the second, she decided to use her mouth to pull it back. Once she was ready, Kumoko moved out, running to the source of the vibration while also carefully avoiding the strings of web on the floor. The last thing she needed was to trip on her own web strings.
And then she saw him. Kumoko's eyes widened as she saw Yuuto literally get thrown by his summon towards her. "Eep!" The girl did her best to react as quickly as she could. With her mouth letting go, the pellet was launched from the slingshot and soared towards Yuuto. If he somehow failed to block or slash it away, then it would strike his abdomen.
However, Kumoko doubted that one measly pellet would be sufficient in stopping him. No, it was likely that Yuuto would keep on going and reach Kumoko. And there was not much Kumoko could do but brace for impact. There was no time to dodge.
But dodging was not Kumoko's intention, for her real plan could now be set in motion now that Yuuto was close enough. The trap had been triggered!
As soon as Yuuto got close enough, Kumoko did not even bother trying to avoid or block his attack. Instead, she would toss the smoke ball at him. Upon contact with either Yuuto (if it hit or he chose to knock it back) or the ground (if it missed), a bunch of smoke would be emitted from the ball. Not enough to cause choking, as the gas itself was harmless (plus, Kumoko was not a villain, so she would never intentionally use something that could actually cause hard to somebody). However, the smoke would make it difficult to see, if even for a moment. Kumoko was close to it as well, but she not only had her goggles protecting her eyes, but her hearing would be able to let her know what was happening in the immediate vicinity even without her sight.
Once the smoke ball was deployed, it was time for part two of Kumoko's plan. Fight or flight. If Yuuto was caught in the smoke and became disoriented, then Kumoko would aim to shoot some webs from her hand at his feet, aiming to root him in place (if he stood still) or make him trip (if he was moving). However, should the smoke not have proven good enough to drive him back, then Kumoko would begin running back a bit to put some distance between herself and Yuuto (or his summon should that be what would come after her), taking out a pellet and readying herself to fire a shot if needed.
Regardless, Kumoko grit her teeth in pain. Again, she chose not to try to dodge or block Yuuto's earlier strike, so she definitely had an injury to deal with. Hopefully there would not have to be more to worry about. But for now, the girl was just doing her best to ignore her injury and continue the fight.

Found her !
The plan worked like a charm and she slipped up. He read her right and now her position is exposed. Razor went to work as he fast balled him at her position, accounting for drop off as his summon switched to Shaman Mode. Now he was flying at her with a sword in hand, now he has to make sure that he hits his mark. However it wasn't perfect as his opponent did shoot a single shot at him as he flew towards her. It was a small pellet sure, but it also confirmed his other guess that she had a ranged weapon on her.
It was a brief win on his end for knowing but simply having knowledge on an opponent isn't going to win him the fight. She knows it as well as she may have a plan in place for him. But with no info on what else she has ready, he just has to grit his teeth and react to her tricks properly before he can set up his own.
But his attack did make contact as she chose not to even try to dodge or even block. It raises alarms in his head as he catches a glimpse of a small object being thrown at him. He dodged it out of instinct and continued to go through. It took a second to register what it was but he was too focused on the hit and what he was going to follow up with. The position was less than suitable to follow up his attack as he was using one mode and was about to fall to the floor.
All of a sudden, smoke started to fill the air around him and obscure his vision. Of course it was a smoke bomb! As he landed on the ground, with some quick thinking he ripped off one of his sleeves and made a makeshift mask to avoid the smoke. As he was trying to see through the smoke, two webs went to his feet and anchored him in place. ‘Smart..!”, he remarked as he switched Razors form from weapon to his fully summoned state. “Support student is thinking like a ninja to my samurai…”, he thought in his own dumb logic.
He was of course annoyed and also impressed by the amount of quick thinking she must have put in during that exchange. “That's one hit down...gotta be careful of the slingshot”, he mutters to himself as Razor rips off the webbing on his feet. The smoke still filled the air so he couldn't exactly see where his opponent was at the moment. In a fit of frustration, he commanded Razor to swing his arm. One swipe and it cleared the smoke somewhat, his eyes seeing his opponent running. Smart enough to keep her to strengths and resourceful too….now this is getting fun for him.
“Razor lets GO!”, he yells out as his summon dashes out and switches to his full form. All the chains that connected the two breaking in unison until one one remained. The monster of course pulled and hoisted Yuuto on board and were now giving chase to Kumoko.
His next plan of attack is to get close enough to unleash a rush of hits on Kumoko to knock her out. If she tries to shoot at him then he will block and be distracted for a bit which will keep the distance between them open. Another idea is if the chase chose on long enough, he’d make his summon throw him again and attempt to pin her down.
Either way, he is giving this girl a fight and is damn well impressed by what she is doing.

Okay, good news and bad news. For the former, Kumoko's trap actually worked! It was relieving to see that her planning had paid off. But for the latter, said trap did not keep Yuuto ensnared for nearly as long as the spider girl wanted. That summon of yours is strong! I'm gonna have to figure out how to deal with that if I want to have a shot at winning. Kumoko was confident that it was the boy's quirk that would be the main problem here. After all, it broke the spider girl's webs and brushed off the smoke so easily. Not that Yuuto himself would be easy to defeat by any means. No doubt that he had ways of fighting even without his summon.
Wow, this is really exciting!
But no time to focus on that! Kumoko was on the run, and the last thing she needed was for her opponent to reach her. It was best to keep as much distance as possible. The moment he got too close and she could not break free, it was all over. And that would be no fun! Of course, the hit she received made it harder to move around due to how much it hurt. Got to try and ignore it for as long as I can. It was clear that another trap like that where the girl uses herself as bait was not going to be possible. Plus, that trap only worked when Yuuto was not expecting it. The same trick did not work twice.
Of course, Kumoko could not keep running forever. She would tire herself out too soon for that to be a viable strategy. Still, she did not need to keep running for too long. She only needed to stay far enough until she reached her destination: One of the nearby tall and sturdy-looking bamboo. The plan was simple. Try to climb up on top of it. From there, Kumoko could make her move.
But first, she needed to actually reach the bamboo. So once Yuuto was close enough, Kumoko would throw her remaining smoke bombs. One at Yuuto, and one in front of herself. All she needed was one moment. A single moment to carry out her plan. While the first smoke bomb was naturally to distract Yuuto, the second one had a different purpose. Putting her slingshot away, Kumoko took out the vial of gel, pouring its contents all over the ground. She wanted to try and make him slip and fall, using the smoke to conceal the gel. If this somehow worked (or even if it didn't), Kumoko would continue to run towards that bamboo.
Please make it in time! I don't think I can keep him at bay for much longer!
Once she was close enough, it was time to launch her attack! As soon as Yuuto was close enough, Kumoko would do a cartwheel and a back flip towards the bamboo (while also being thankful of having practiced so much thanks to being a cheerleader). Once she was on it and climbed up to the top, she would wait until Yuuto was either close enough to the tree or sent his summon to attack. That was when Kumoko would jump off the top of the bamboo, hopefully high enough to flip right over Yuuto and his summon. And while still in mid-air, the spider girl decided to unleash her attack, one that she had spent ages practicing but could not use in a real-life scenario until now.
"SPIDER SILK SCATTERSHOT!"
While airborne, Kumoko fired a barrage of golden webs from her mouth and the holes on the palms of her gauntlets. Her goal was to attempt to shower both summon and summoner with sticky silk. If she could not ensnare them, then she hoped that with the sheer amount of webs being shot at them, movement would become quite slow and limited. Regardless, the girl landed on the ground, panting a bit from using up a lot of webs and from the earlier running.
But there was a small issue. While Kumoko did of course land, it was not exactly a smooth landing. Naturally, the clumsy girl slipped on the ground and fell. Oof, of course this had to happen. And right after my super move too! With a sigh, the girl tried getting up. If her attack failed to ensnare Yuuto and his summon, or if they broke free, then the spider girl could not afford to stay in one place and become an easy target. Even if her opponent was ensnared or slowed down enough to the point where he could not pursue her right away, it was better to get moving now and not even give him that chance. But would Kumoko be fast enough? Or would Yuuto get to her and attack before she could escape? Still, with how tired she was starting to become, Kumoko prepared for the possibility of needing to brace for an attack.
This is seriously getting intense!

The chase was on as Razor was going full speed ahead at Kumoko. Difference in speed is obvious but the trick from earlier slowed him down a bit. Bits of webbing were still stuck to his boots as the summons covered the distance between the two. A smile was beginning to show on his face as he soon found himself having fun in another match. The people who put up the best fight were always the types that brought out his best. In his head he was planning out his next plan of attack.
List of tricks were getting shorter as he learned a few dozen of her tricks within that exchange. Smoke bombs are out, webbing tricks are still in but he knows what she is aiming for at least, a slingshot is now known to him. Adding on to her running, he can pinpoint that he has a definite advantage in close range combat. But the last factor in his mind is the bamboo playing a role in this. The plant by nature can be used against him if he isn't careful...but then an idea popped into his head. His first thoughts weren't to beat her down to a pulp but mostly land a few more hits to incapacitate her. Winning via beat down wouldn't look very good publicly and he wanted to win on his own terms by tactics and power and not just power alone. He was gaining on her but then her next move was made as she threw some smoke bombs in between the two of them. The momentum of Razor kept going as he was getting fixated on catching up to her.
“Smoke? It was going to take more than that to-”, he said in his mind as his summon started to slip on something hidden in the smoke. “So she had something else on hand eh?”, he smirked as the summon was a bit tripped up by the gel. He lost sight of her but he knew what was coming as he commanded his summon to quickly grab and protect him with his entire body.It was then a distant shout from above could be heard. A barrage of golden webs covered his summon, it was more than a comfortable amount to easily remove as his position was quite difficult.
But his response was simple as he promptly ripped off most of the webbing on him. Some parts were hard to get off and it wasn't exactly time to clean himself off. He soon ran towards her at full speed as his eyes adjusted to see her on the ground. One more time, he commanded his summon to throw him at his opponent as he drew his blade.
If he was in a sufficient range then he would simply land on top of her and hold the blade to her mouth and attempt to pin her down. But if he overshot it or she ran away in time then he would use his free hand to grab onto one of the bamboo and slide down with his summon following him, making chase once again.
“Gotcha~”

While still panting from tiredness and gritting her teeth in pain, Kumoko could hear Yuuto coming. She didn't have to look in his direction to know that he was approaching. The girl smiled. Heh. So I barely slowed him down much, huh? If there was one thing this match was teaching the girl, it was that despite her natural pacifism and aversion to fighting, it was indeed possible for her to enjoy a fight. As long as it was for the right reason, there was no need to be afraid. There was no need to cower and shy away. I'm really getting into this! It was like a fire had ignited within the girl, one that she had long thought impossible to appear or ever exist: A battle spirit. And with mere moments before Yuuto would get on her, Kumoko smiled.
"Bring it on!"
Barely having time to react, Kumoko tried reaching for one of her nets. However, Yuuto had already reached her, landing on top of her and pinning her with his blade. Now it definitely looked like a checkmate. And normally, that could have very well been the case. But now that Kumoko was enjoying herself even more, the excitement clearly written all over her face, there was no way she would just accept defeat so soon! After hearing Yuuto say that word, Kumoko grinned even more.
"You sure about that?"
The spider girl immediately did what she always does best (besides tripping, of course). She spat some web at Yuuto's face, attempting to try and blind him for a moment. It was the only plan she could think of in the heat of the moment. Of course, what happened next would depend on whether her sneak attack worked.
If it did work, and Yuuto was distracted by webs clouding his vision (though thankfully none would get directly inside his eyes, Kumoko was not cruel after all), then she would struggle to reach for her net. Specifically the electrically charged one. If she managed to grab it, then she would throw it on Yuuto, hoping to give him a bit of a shock. Though if his pinning her down proved too difficult for her to squirm her way out of, then it was very likely for her to get electrocuted as well. Fortunately, the shock would not be too intense.
Though if that plan failed and the web failed to hit Yuuto's face, then Kumoko really only had one option left. Mustering all of her strength in an attempt to free herself, she would close her eyes and brace for impact as she tried to headbutt Yuuto. If this somehow worked, then the girl would hesitate for a second... and then immediately feel immense remorse for having attempted to sink her fangs into Yuuto. Especially if she actually made contact with his skin and injected her venom. Oh gosh, what am I doing? Am I really that desperate to win? What's wrong with me?! This... This is NOT how a hero should fight! If that did happen, Kumoko would immediately take out her vial of antidote, or point out the pouch on her belt it was on Yuuto still had her pinned down. "Here, take it! It's not strong enough to fully cure the venom, but it'll treat the nausea faster! I'm so sorry!"
Assuming that Kumoko was able to free herself, she would run away, circling around Yuuto and returning close to the bamboo. Of course, if she couldn't free herself, then Kumoko would still attempt to do so. It was clear that no matter what, the girl refused to give up for as long as she could still move.

Yuuto had her pinned down and it felt like the match was done. A part of him enjoyed the feeling of doing this since it was more personal to other approaches. He doesn't know why he decided to try it on her but nevertheless she was pinned. Not much you can do with a sword against your neck, but then he remembered that she is a spider girl and she has that trick up her sleeve.
She of course shot the web and he dodged it with ease. He kept the blade on her and she thrashed about as much as she could. He was holding on a bit but he did enjoy the fight in her as she was doing her best and he was doing his. Kumoko surprisingly headbutted him and in response he headbutted back as the fight was still going on. Throw all weird looks aside, this is a fight that he was expecting from someone of the support class. He kept her pinned as it locked away all of her options since he noticed a few more things on her person. But in his time of distraction, he was careless and he felt a bite on his neck.
‘FUCK’ Is the immediate word out of his mouth as he felt a wave of nausea go over his body in an instant. He got back up and he staggered his way to a nearby planting of bamboo. She also had venom which was obvious but he failed to take account of that as he felt really damn sick. Like to the point where he wanted to throw up but he held it in with sheer force of will as he kept his eyes on her. But she was surprisingly remorseful as she threw an antidote on the ground for him. He can still hear her words and she was sorry about doing it, he’d pick it up as she took her chance to run away.
“Don’t be sorry. Remember what you said before we started? ‘please come at me with everything you've got, because I promise I'll do the same.’, well this is all what we got and bet your ass I will continue to do the same. This is your own gift so embrace it with no regrets!”, he shouted as a response for her to hear as he took the antidote. The effects were delayed but he can feel his nausea going away. It still felt like absolute ass but it was better than a few moments ago. He still had fight in him as he changed Razor from his Demon mode to his Buster Mode. The effects were mild but it was enough of an issue that he needed to use the chains of the second mode to keep him up.
He chased after her at half speed as he was trying to keep himself from puking. But his summon was guarding him and close so it’s safe to say that the fight is still on.
“So let's continue where we left off shall we? ”, he said as he used his sword as a cane. He limped after her as he was waiting to see what else she would do next. Of course he caught wind of one of her remaining gadgets on her person and was wary of her. But with how she is moving and how desperate she was, she is damn well ready to fight till the end. For that reason he will entertain her for longer as he wants to see how much she is willing to go. A fight like this is better experienced than anything else.

Owwww. Note to self: Never try to headbutt anyone ever again.
Closing her eyes and gritting her teeth in pain, it was clear that her desperation move was definitely not the brightest idea she had. Even worse since Yuuto decided to return the favor. Owwwwww!! Still, she needed to bear that pain and not show visible weakness. Yes it hurt, a lot, but heroes had to deal with so much worse. There were no excuses here. So despite wanting to shout and cry, Kumoko's resolve and determination to fight her hardest made her barely able to hold the tears back.
I'm... I'm not weak. I can take this! I'm strong!
But something that proved to be too much even for Kumoko was her guilty conscience. The one thing that made her resolve waver was that fact that in her desire to fight and win, her instincts got the better of her and she actually bit Yuuto. Now perhaps any cunning person in her position would have tried taking advantage of their opponent's nausea and tried to drag him out of the ring, or at least restrain him. Perhaps handing over the antidote would have been out of the question. But Kumoko could never do something like that. Just like a certain someone, the spider girl believed in a fair and honorable fight. She was not a fan of underhanded tactics. And despite her fangs (and the venom they secrete) being a part of her physiology, Kumoko would never willingly bite someone, nor would she ever be okay with using such a tactic as part of her strategy.
This... this is not right! Is Yuuto alright? What have I done?
Even with handing him her vial of antidote, Kumoko still felt terrible. Resorting to biting someone to escape what should by all rights have been a checkmate. To the spider girl, such a thing was unforgivable. Running off while poor Yuuto was suffering the effects of her venom, it was cowardly and dishonorable. How could she ever explain or justify her actions? She could not! The least she could do was not try something cheap while he took the antidote. Still...
I wouldn't be surprised if he shouted at me. There's no way I could blame him if he's mad at me. I deserve it. It's all my fault! What could I even do to try and make up for what I just did?
Yuuto then shouted at Kumoko... but not in the way the girl was expecting. Eh? Hearing her own words, seeing that Yuuto still intended to come at her with everything he had, and telling Kumoko that it was her gift, to embrace it with no regrets. Slowly, the girl's worry began to get washed away. It was really okay? Kumoko then smiled. She knew exactly how to make it up to him. By setting aside her worries and concerns, giving more than a hundred percent to this fight, and seeing it through to the end. Yeah... Yes! This is no time to waver! I can't let something like this rattle me. Not after making that promise! I... I can do this! Thank you, Yuuto!
So with a radiant smile and a determined expression, Kumoko nodded. "Right! Let's do this!" With her battle spirit reignited, it was time to go! The first thing Kumoko did was continue running back towards the bamboo. Though the girl was becoming more and more tired as time went on, Yuuto was a bit slower compared to earlier. Taking the time to do her best to keep herself as far away as possible, Kumoko did a quick check of what she had left to work with.
Okay, I still have my nets and rope, some pellets for my slingshot, and my first-aid kit. Not as much left as I would like, but it'll have to do. What to do here? Firing some pellets would probably do nothing as Yuuto could just have his summon protect himself. In order to win, there had to be someway to try and separate the two. But how? But then, the spider girl had an idea.
Taking out one of her nets, Kumoko began to run. However, rather than running away, she seemed to be running towards Yuuto. But rather than try to engage him in close combat (since it was already proven that he easily had the advantage there), Kumoko aimed to only get close enough before attempting her strategy. And just what was this strategy of hers? It all started with a simple toss of the net. But merely ensnaring Yuuto was not the plan here. After all, he could always have his summon intercept the net to then rip it to shreds.
But that was exactly what Kumoko was counting on.
The net she threw towards Yuuto was not one of the regular nets. It was the electrically charged one. This would be incredibly obvious as the sparks of electricity would be visible. Kumoko aimed for one of three results. The first would be Yuuto having his summon try to intercept. If it did, then Kumoko would not only have it out of the way even if only for a second, but she would also be able to tell if damage to the summon affected the summoner in any way. She still did not know if that was the case. The second result would be if Yuuto got caught in it himself. Hey, it would slow him down at least. And finally, the third scenario was if Yuuto hesitated and tried to avoid the oncoming net being thrown. That hesitation would give Kumoko time to carry out her true goal.
And that true goal? Returning to the area where she had fired her webs earlier. While most had hit Yuuto's summon earlier, some of the webs had fallen to the nearby ground. And it was this that Kumoko was after. With how tired she was getting, it was becoming harder to produce more webs. But by reusing some from earlier, she could have an additional tool for this fight.
Regardless of whether or not the electrical net did its job, Kumoko would immediately run towards her webs on the ground. Assuming that she could reach them, she would begin to scoop up as much of it as she could. Of course, Kumoko would also take out her slingshot and begin firing at Yuuto to try and stall for a bit. Three pellets fired, one after another, aimed for his chest. Will this plan of mine work? Or will Yuuto figure something out and overpower me? I look forward to finding out!

Seeing her get motivated was something Yuuto aimed for as he got ready. His condition and the pay off got him back on track. This is a fight he can enjoy without worry and fear. Kumoko was coming at him at full force and doing her best and he was responding in turn with his best. Razor did most of the work in emoting as he roared out and got into a fighting stance. Despite his persona and overall looks, he was painfully honest about things and it's really coming out here.
“Why the hell did I say that? I just made things harder for me?”, he thought as he watched her get further and further away. He’d curse himself but a part of him was somewhat glad he yelled. An opponent who was scared to go all out is no different that belittling an opponent for not trying harder. This is a fight live on TV and both sides need to be at their best to show to all the heroes that they can do it. “She’s planning something….just what is she planning to do”, he thought to himself as he watches her run in the distance.
But then he was hit by another bout of nausea and he felt like throwing up as he stumbled in his steps. “F-Fucking hell this is annoying”, he mutter to himself as he held himself back from heaving live on TV. He took the antidote but it was going to take a bit more time before he can start running around again. Leaning on his blade and the chains that connected him to Razor kept him up but he needed to keep his eyes on his opponent. She’s planning something and he is at a bad spot right now. He wants to get to the next round and by god he will work for this win. “Come on Yuuto. You can fuckin do this, a little venom cant keep you down this long...just gotta keep your head in the game...you've been through worse..”, he said in his head as he musters the strength to keep moving forward. Nausea can be conquered like thugs and his own weakness, he just needs to grit his teeth and face forward.
Watching her closely as he looked to see she was coming at him. A part of him smirked at the next plan she had ready for him. He recalled while he was pinning her that she didn't have much in terms of supplies left, perhaps maybe a net and a slingshot left. But she has something else in mind, no one in the right mind would risk charging in without some kind of plan. Kumoko ain't an idiot and this was all a test for him.’Just what are you doin spider girl...what are you aiming for?’Razor ready as he used his massive left arm to guard Yuuto and his right arm was prone to strike. The monster took a stance like a knight and ready to strike, he can only watch what she was about to do next.
Then she threw it. She threw the net at him and he can already notice that it was not a normal net in the slightest. He didn't have the strength or the time to turn Razor into a full summon but his buster mode shall do. His summon of course did well in guarding him and he used his right arm to slash the net into pieces. But he was too focused on that to realize that she darted again to another area and began firing her shots at him, Razor of course blocked them as he flew at Yuuto. The plonked off the beast as he started to feel his nausea lightening up.”Ok...now its doing its work but I still feel like I have a frog in my throat..”, he thought as he had enough strength to stand on his own without the sword cane.
It’d take a bit more time but he needs to be wary. Once the venom wears off, he is gonna end this in the only way he knows how. But its going to be stupid and dangerous, but it was going to be a marvelous reward for this girl who pushed him this far. He can say with an honest feeling that he is impressed and that she went beyond her limits. So he can knock her ass out without any sort of regrets and say with a earnest feeling that both sides did their best and that they were fighting their all. But for now, he is watching this girl because she dashed over there for a reason but in his lucid state cannot think why she would do that. Was there something else over there for her?
”What is this girl planning?”

While Kumoko was running towards her webs on the ground, she took a second to look back at Yuuto, seeing just how he would react to the electrified net. To the girl's dismay, the net was sliced away like it was nothing. She knew the net's electric charge was weak, but she had expected some kind of reaction. But to be able to rip through the net and not feel anything. Either the summon knew how to hide the slight discomfort it felt from the shock, or it was literally that tough to not even be fazed by it. As the girl was running away, Kumoko could not tell which was the case.
But either way, she was in trouble. Despite still feeling bad for the nausea Yuuto was dealing with, it would not last much longer. Once the boy was feeling better, he would no doubt come after her. And with how tired Kumoko was, she could not keep on running for much longer. What to do? It was clear that this battle was reaching its final stage. It all came down to this. Would the girl be able to somehow find the path to victory? Or would Yuuto's persistence overpower Kumoko's stalling, finally putting her down once and seizing victory?
Given the current situation, there was really only one course of action left for Kumoko. One final plan. It was risky, but at this stage in the match, there was really no point in playing it safe any longer. If this did not work, then the battle was over. Still, no matter what, the spider girl's resolve shone brightly. She was determined to do her best here, regardless of the outcome.
For the plan itself, it was surprisingly simple. Use her webs to try and restrain the summon. Then, for the split second it was occupied, use the remaining nets and rope to try and restrain Yuuto while the nausea still slowed him down. And finally, try to push him out of the arena with the bit of strength she had left. It was very dangerous and risky, almost desperate, even. But Kumoko did not have much energy left to keep fighting. So this was all she could do.
Alright, one final gambit! One last attack that will determine who wins this fight! Kumoko then smiled. Either way, this was a really fun match. So regardless of the outcome, I'm satisfied. I did my best out here. No regrets!
Picking up wads of webbing, Kumoko pulled back on the slingshot as the webs were placed on it to be fired. Aiming carefully while adjusting for weight and trajectory, the girl fired, sending the wad of webbing straight towards the summon, doing her best to try and restrain it. If this worked out, then Yuuto's summon would find itself pinned to the ground. But with its earlier demonstration of its power, this would not last for very long.
But it would not need to. Assuming that Yuuto did have its summon pinned down by webs, even for a split second, Kumoko would immediately rush to Yuuto with what little energy she had remaining. She would then throw the net straight at him, only to immediately deploy the second and final net. Though these were just ordinary nets and not electrically charged, Kumoko just needed to capture Yuuto for just a moment. If this did work, then she would finish the trap with the rope, using it to bind Yuuto. And if all of this somehow worked out, then she would try and repeatedly run into Yuuto to slowly push him to the edge of the ring and out of it.
Of course, that was the absolute best-case scenario. There were many things that could go wrong. Despite that, Kumoko tried her best to account for every possible thing that could go wrong. If Yuuto's summon broke free, then the spider girl would fire a few strings of web. But with how low on energy she was, these strings were unlikely to keep it at bay for very long. Or if Yuuto avoided both nets and the rope somehow, Kumoko would fire what webs she had left at him in a last-ditch effort to keep the summoner restrained. But craziest of all was the possibility of Yuuto's summon breaking free as Kumoko tried to get Yuuto to the edge of the arena. Though if that happened, the spider girl would do her best to completely ignore it, focusing solely on trying to get her opponent out of the ring.
But if all of that failed, then there really was not much Kumoko could do. If Yuuto managed to overcome everything Kumoko threw at him, then there was not much left to do. Still, that would by no means mean that she would just give up. No, she would try to put up a fight till the very end. Even if that meant coming at Yuuto with her martial arts skills (or more accurately, her lack of martial arts skills). Kumoko was not about to just surrender. The fight would go on until she either won, collapsed from exhaustion, or was thrown out of the ring.
In any case, this was the final move, the one that decided the outcome of the match. Would the spider come out on top? Or would the shark rip through the webs and nets to seize victory? The answer to that was coming soon.

Yuuto was holding on as much as he could but Kumoko proved to be more steadfast than he first thought as she used her slingshot to fire various threads at him in an attempt to bind his summon. Of course he can try and see if he can cut through but webs worked differently than nets as he can easily rip it off but cutting them was made more difficult as more got onto Razor. The webs did in fact get everywhere and it was rather difficult to rip them off when it was fact that it was webbing. He can't change his form now when she is running at him and it was going to prove more difficult as she threw nets at him.
“Bring it!”, he yelled out as he held his blade and cut one of the nets as he tried to get out of the way. But it wasn't perfect as he cut only one of them as the other caught his leg. The problems mounted as more webs came his way as he defended against it but he gripped the chain and used the immobilized Razor as an anchor as she tried to drag him away. But it wasn't enough so he stabbed his sword into the ground to keep himself in place. He grit his teeth as he held himself in place. He wanted to see what her plan was but at this point he was more worried he was going to run out of breath.
Yuuto can see her desperately holding on as he watched her try and drag him out of the arena. But she soon turned to face him and started to rush at him. “IF YOU WANT TO END THIS THEN LET'S SETTLE THIS THE OLD FASHIONED WAY!”, he yelled out as he ripped off the pieces of equipment that was covered in webbing and went to go meet her. Relying on his quirk got him this far but he can only do so much as he clenched both of his fists. His summon was tied in place and he cant take a moment to call him back so he just desummoned him and ran to meet Kumoko.
It was then that they traded blows in the only way he knew how. Headbutts, right hooks, haymakers, knees to the chest. This looked real bad but he didn't care, he was going to fight this girl who was trying her hardest in a fair fight. His eyes were burning with energy as he traded blows and possibly started to smirk as the fight went on. She wasn't trained and was rather frail but she still fought and a part of him respected her immensely for having the courage to do so.
But he couldn't savor the moment as he was starting to feel his breath starting to shorten. He needed to end this and he knew one way to do it. The moment she would go for another hit, he’d read and block; recalling a grab he saw in a book he’d pull her towards him and he’d throw her on the ground on her back. Jumping at the opportunity at this position he did went and pinned her down with her arm behind her and his legs keeping her in place.
“You did well getting this far without getting rushed down...but this is checkmate…”, he said as he said in between breaths. It was a compromising position but this was the best he can manage with the energy he has left in him. A Razor rush down was going to be optimal but a part of him did not want to do that. Perhaps something in him didnt want her to see her bloodied like the ones before or maybe this was his first step to actually looking more hero like than before.
