Jace approached the gym, nerves already starting to bubble within him. Honestly, going against all expectations, Jace actually did enjoy most sports and athletic activities. While he lacked a specialization in any one sport, his general fitness and skill in mobility made him versatile in his approach, and was able to make up for his lack of talent with this overall athleticism. But Jace had spent the last year and a half at the school looking in from the outside in a way, never really partaking in clubs or outings, or even meeting up with others for special training other than one brief day that he barely remembered. And now he was on his last year, having made no real lasting memories or progress in a famous school that was supposed to make memories AND heroes. And so the shy boy was going against every instinct in his body, as he pushed himself to try and do both of those things today. But, unfortunately, he wasn't doing this by joining the Athletics club. At least not today. Instead he was here to see a specific person, one of the few people here he regularly got along with and had the strange ability to push him without creating a backlash effect of Jace getting upset.
The ginger boy would slowly approach the gymnasium doors, momentarily hesitating as he got to them. But, he powered through this hesitation and fear of what may happen, and opened them. He was really hoping he was here, Jace actually wasn't entirely sure, he was just guessing given he hadn't seen him in the dorms when he'd gone looking for him,and he knew how much of a gym nut he was. He also really hoped he was alone, approaching him with other people practicing, or even worse, a club meet would be impossible. Jace would die from the embarrassment. But as Jace would enter the thankfully empty gym, he would look around trying to find the person he was looking for. And once he did, he'd blush as he'd approach, looking down at the floor during his slow walk forward. And it'd be another moment before he'd finally speak, still blushing as he didn't look the large, friendly jock in the eyes. ....Kirk-sama...
He'd been looking for Kirk, one of the few people he's consistently teamed up with, and who had at the very least a general understanding of his abilities. He was also someone who Jace tended to gravitate towards as a senior figure, hence the honorific. Jace generally avoided honorifics, not due to a dislike of them but simply because he was French and thus found using them unauthentic due to not having been raised with them. However, occasionally he did like them, usually to convey certain feelings he had that would be difficult or embarrassing to go into depth, like now. And so, seeing Kirk as an obvious senior figure and student, he still couldn't quite look him in the eye as he blushed harder while he continued. ...I-I...Havent gotten much stronger, have I? It was less of a question and more of a statement, his opinion on the matter being quite obvious already. ...B-But...I don't want to stay like this...I want to be stronger... And this was when he'd finally look up at Kirk, vulnerability on his face. Can...Can you help me?...

Honestly, imagining Kirk at the gym was probably the most natural combo you could imagine. Well, aside from the image of Kirk running across the halls of U.A. With him having moved into the dorms, it was especially apparent that he used the services of his new living space! And admittedly, it was quite insane how much variety the school had compared to the early days! Heck, he had outright forgotten he could go swimming here! One of those problematic things of winter complicating things of the mind!
Heck, just the fact that it was spring, had Kirks head SPRING into action! He just felt so inspired to do things again! Winter was always as a time very restricting on what you could do, but now he could once again do anything he wanted! Just the fact, that the sun was pumping him full of that glorious vitamin D, he couldn't hold himself down any longer! The only thing that could keep him away from just going full on with sports club business... was all the cleaning and refurbishing he would need to do in there. There was always that one issue with getting things done: You never wanted to do the unfun part preceding the good part. Besides, with the sun out, Kirk felt like he would need a PROPER warm-up before he could take on such a big task!
And what a better warm-up, than jumping rope! The closest thing to running after jogging! The rhythmic snapping of the rope against the floor help him keep up a proper pace, and the rope was good enough length, that he didn't have any worries about accidentally snapping himself to the back of his head. He was hopping from one foot to the other, huffing as he was doing it! If he could do this for atleast 5 minutes longer, then he would probably hit his quota for the day!
Suddenly, he heard a familiar kind of weak voice calling out his name, with one of those fancy honorifics. "HM!?" He reacted, immediately turning his head towards the voice... "Oh, DUDE! I didn't expect to see ya in here!" It was Jace! One of the sneakier students of the class. Well, not necessarily sneaky, just the sort of boy who fell to the background a lot. Compared to the rest of the C-class, he had always been kind of meek. Everybody else was loud in some fashion, yet he was doing his own thing. Kirk had always been kind of curious about him because of that. And especially now that he had entered pretty much on his home turf. Something that the boy clearly didn't usually do. "What's up man? Feeling all pumped up by the rays too!?" Admittedly, he was a fire cat! Heat must have had some sort of effect on him!
...Although, despite Kirks own excitement, the boy in front of him was starting to resemble a bit of a red beet. Kirk hadn't even stopped spinning the jump rope around himself. However, he could hear Jaces meek talks clearly. he was never the one to ignore a dude in need. "Depends I guess!" The first question he asked, Kirk just shrugged at. But the more he talked, Kirk was starting to catch on... and a little bit of excitement started nibbling his guts. "Hmmm?" And then the question was asked and Kirk suddenly threw his jump rope behind him! "OF COURSE I will, dude!"
The grips clapped against the floor, as he just reached out to grip the guys shoulder. "We've been in the same class for two years! At this point, us training together ain't an obligation or a duty! It's a NECESSITY!" Two things Kirk loved: Helping others improve, and working out in a herd! And in the case of folks like him and Haruto especially, Kirk couldn't help but feel the need to see those stick grow into hams. But, for that to happen, they needed to start! He gave a pit of a pat, and then took a step back. "First off, before you say anything, let's already start warming you up! Start lifting those knees! Get a sweat going!" He lifted his own legs as a brief example. "Don't push yourself too hard, just get that fire going! ...Not literally, teachers don't want the floor to burn you know, hehe!" Just in case! They didn't like the hole in the wall he had left behind to his clubhouse!
"Now, you want the full training package, or you want to do something specific?" Kirks hands went over to his face. "I bet you would benefit from getting some training to your hands, arms and legs! With all that climbing you do, you gotta be ready to hold that grip tight I assume!" He clapped his hands together and pointed towards him. "What do you think?"

In what could arguably be called good luck, Jace managed to guess correctly on where Kirk was, seeing the large boy jumping rope as he opened the doors. Though in all honesty calling this luck would be like calling foretelling rain while seeing storm clouds in the distant prophetic, it really is the most obvious choice. And Kirk was already going full steam, skipping the rope at an insane rate for a ridiculous amount of time, and Jace knew this cause it took him over five minutes to stop standing in the corner staring at the lovable jock and gather the courage approach him. He really shouldn't be doing this he couldn't help but think, doubt starting to creep its way into his mind. But then the boy took a deep breath, shaking his head. No hesitation! When you hesitate you lose whatever chance you had at what you wanted too do, no matter how unlikely it was too succeed! It was a surprising view on life for such a timid boy, and perhaps bred more than a little impulsiveness, but it also helped him be brave. Like now, taking a step forward towards the lovable giant that stood in front of him.
And as Kirk turned towards him with genuine excitement too see him, Jace couldn't help but look slightly surprised in a way, the blush continuing to grow on his face. It wasn't often that people were actually overjoyed just because he stopped by. He was more of a wall flower, even people who'd become familiar with him as a first year eventually ended up forgetting about him. Except Kirk that is. He'd never forgotten Jace. Not that'd it'd mattered much, Jace wasn't particularly a social butterfly, and even he liked Kirk he couldn't make himself go out and actually try and hang out with him. Thus the look of guilt that followed as he talked to Kirk, even with his individualistic streak he really did feel bad he never tried reaching out even once. So as Kirk asked what was up he avoided his eyes at first, one of his telltale habits he had when feeling bad or embarrassed. Umm...N-Not exactly... Jace weakly responded to the question about the nice day outside, before managing to choke out his questions.
At first, he thought it'd gone just as bad as he'd feared, Kirk continuing to jump rope while literally shrugging off his question with passive disinterest about how Jace had stagnated. So when it came time to ask for help he was already close to tearing up, his voice cracking part way through his question. Which is why he was all the more shocked at Kirk's instant and enthusiastic acceptance of his offer, tossing the jump rope aside as if it were nothing but a nuisance. And his look of surprise only continued as Kirk gripped him by the shoulders in his excitement, Jace's small body moving with every movement he made, his face and neck getting closer to the shade of his hair. But Kirk was already engrossed in the moment, making it very clear there was no backing out now, that this workout routine together was no longer an option but a requirement. Uhh...uhh...uh.. Jace stammered for a moment, trying to find words but none would come, he was in it for the long haul.
And due to his easily coerced nature, Jace would follow Kirk's instructions to start lifting his legs in a pre-workout routine. Honestly he hadn't actually expected this, something similar to what people do to warm up before working out. But then again he honestly hadn't known what to expect when he'd came to Kirk, he just knew that this wasn't it. But he didn't complain or anything, he did as instructed and worked up a sweat in the process! He even managed to let out a smile towards the boy as he joked about his flames. Umm...I guess if that's what you think is best...I've never really done this before... Most of his workout routines were focused around his gymnastic abilities, focusing on his balance and agileness, he never really practiced real strength training before. He was entering a whole new part of extreme workouts.

Poor boy pretty much got trampled under Kirks energy. And sadly, even Kirk noticed this. The boy couldn't really say anything, when he kept going so rapidly, and in the end, all the boy could say in answer to him was 'whatever you say'. Kirks hand went over to his jaw, as he proceeded to think a bit. He didn't really want to push him away, when the guy finally wanted to workout a little! so how should he go about this? Well, as usual, Kirk had his classic go-to:s for situations just like these. After all, he had eased quite a few folks into loving workouts. And this should be no different!
"Well then dude, if that's the case...!" he clapped his hands again. "You can stop the leg warm-up part! We will move on to warming up your arms now! and the best way to do that is either weights or...!" He placed his arms in front of himself, as like a tree going timber, he fell onto them, and there it was. A move so classic everybody knew how to do it! "Push-ups! After all, nothing is an easier weight to go against, than your own!" He did a couple of reps as an example. "Nothing really to it other than that! Just try to make sure, that your back is straight, and if it's hard, you can always do this seal style too!" He lowered his legs, and flattened them against the floor, still continuing to do push ups. "It's a bit easier when your legs still aren't used to staying straight for that long!"
Soon enough he sat up, in the position, and patted the floor. "You give it a try! Try and do like uh..." He himself could do like, 200 pushed ups maybe before tiring out. How many could Jace do? "Let's say, 50! 50 push-ups! See how close you can get to that goal!" Of course, it was something that might seem quite formidable to a newbie to this sort of thing to do. 50 push-ups was quite a lot. However, the idea Kirk was going for here, was to see how hard the boy would test his limits. And hey, it was not like he was doing this alone! Kirk was right next to him after all!
That's right, through his efforts of trying to do this whatever way he wanted, Kirk was next to him going. "One more dude! You can do it, dude! Give em arms a workout!" He would be cheering him on, and trying to introduce him to something he himself enjoyed a lot.
