He has never gone this far from his home. He was scared. He was scared of the people staring at him, he was terrified of the whispers, and for every minor action, it raised the pit of fear in his gut to be higher. Until he could feel it bubbling at the back of his throat like an overflowing coffee pot, he wanted to fly away. Away from the stares and whispers and all those awful precursors of something worse, the pain of rocks thrown at his face, sticks being poked at his ribs, and things he would rather forget.
But as he kept walking with his head held oh so low, trying to make himself as small as possible, people eventually stopped staring, stopped whispering, but Katou knew better. If he let his guard down too quickly, it will lead to pain. It will lead to rocks thrown at him without being prepared for it. It will lead to sticks piercing his skin he will be hurt by the Quirkless he always does, he gets hurt by others who don't understand, how could they, he was a monster. A monster whose very birth caused death. He was nothing but a monster hoping for more when he doesn't deserve it.
Kato rise hs head when he got close to a restaurant, it had the address that Luka-senpai sent him, to feed him, how did he trick him to be so kind to him? He felt a sting of guilt ran through his whole spine, and tail, he felt disgusted with himself, for tricking Luka-senpai for feeding him like this. He deserves the rotten food he gets from the corner store he deserves every cruel thing he goes through, for that's his punishment, for existing, for killing his mom and keeping his father in financial ruin.
Katou pulled out his flip phone as he walked into the dark alleyway on the side of the building, hoping Luka-senpai was joking, and he wasn't serious about feeding him like this. He doesn't deserve such kindness. Katou hung out in the darkest corner of the alleyway hoping Luka wouldn't spot him if he did come out to look for him. Please don't notice him. He bagged. He doesn't want Luka-senpai to see his awful form. His long bony tail was tense and stiff as he felt. He felt sick for coming here, he disobeyed his father's rules and went somewhere he couldn't reach him. He was an awful person for tricking Luka-senpai and not listening to his dad---
Katou's internal monologue went on like that for a few moments until a door squeaked open which he did not notice. But Katou didn't make himself look approachable at all. With his stinger like tail all tense and raised, his body also stiff and shaking, his eyes shining an unnaturally red in the dark alley. He looked like a monster in a scary movie.

It had been a pretty long shift, and honestly, Luka was looking forward to going home. He would have been too, if it weren't for one factor. Wiping his brow, the small teen adjusted his uniform slightly before making sure he had the ingredients out and ready. He wasn't sure what he would make yet, and they'd all come out of his wage, but that didn't matter, there was heroism to do. Sure, sometimes heroism was saving one hundred people from a burning building, and other times it was saving them from their own self-doubts. The Germanic teen may not have been a very good hero in the first sense, but he always tried his best in the second, and tonight was the chance to make another difference to one person.
He checked his phone before nodding to himself and stepping through the quiet restaurant, the lights dimmed and a clear 'closed' sign displayed at the front. Everyone else had gone home, and he was staying behind to lock up... after this. He figured this was the best way to keep his special guest comfortable, where even one of his coworkers could spook the poor boy. That certainly wouldn't do, not even a little. Walking back through the kitchen, Luka stepped out the side entrance, reminding himself to get some sort of lubricant for the hinges of the door as it squeaked open. The slime boy glanced around the alleway for a few moments, his long blue hair held in a high ponytail bobbing behind him until golden eyes finally caught sight of glowing red eyes and a massive threatening tail raised up agains the dark backdrop of the alley.
He was very glad he was expecting that, because otherwise his reaction would have been unfortunate to say the least. "Irasshaimase, Katou-kun, please come in," he said calmly, his 'customer service' smile in place. Without waiting for a response he walked slowly towards the large, threatening figure, his polished shoes tapping loudly along the alley, his pace measured and careful. Slowly, he'd reach out to take the other boy's hand, watching carefully to make sure he didn't spook him. Somehow he doubted anyone had done this for the Scorpion-quirked teen before, and based on the way Katou reacted to most things, well, it was better to give him plenty of time to process what was happening. Assuming he managed to take the much larger teen's hand, Luka would slowly lead Katou into the restaurant.
"Would you like to sit in the main area? Or would you rather stay in the kitchen and watch me cook?" he asked once they were inside and the door was closed behind them. "I also brought you something to wear, it should be about the right size, you can get changed in the bathroom if you'd like" he said with a smile, gesturing to a pile of clothing that sat on a nearby bench. The clothes were simple, and cheap, but they were soft and comfortable. Not to mention they would probably offset Katou's appearance a bit to make him seem less intimidating, what with them basically being a comfortable t-shirt, tracksuit pants, and a soft hoody. "I wasn't quite sure where to put the holes in the tops and pants for your wings and tail, but I can do that quickly before you wear them if you just show me where to make the adjustments. I'm not great at sewing, but I can do that much I think~"
It was definitely going to be an uphill battle to get the other boy to accept all this, but Luka was determined to see it through. "Once you're changed you can decide what we eat, ok?"

Katou got so wrapped up in his thoughts that only when Luka-senpai spoke up did he notice that he was so close now. Rock throwing range. No, people in U.A. aren't like that. Katou tried to talk, but his words dissolved in his throat, he didn't talk to anybody face to face in a long time that wasn't painful. But Luka-senpai didn't wait for a response instead he started approaching him. Katou's instincts acted up at the slowly approaching slime. His body reacted without his input, his head and shouldered lowered, and his tail looked ready to strike. His body was so used to people trying to hurt it that any action aimed at it seemed like a threat.
It took all of Katou's willpower to hold his body back, his blood was pumping with adrenaline and fear. His flight and fight response got triggered by such gentle action. When the slime boy braved his intimidation tactic and grabbed for his hand-it felt soft- much softer than the slime probably expected. Katou let the boy guide him into the restaurant. Katou wasn't sure how to respond or what to say about all of this. He felt like he was intruding, taking up his senpai's free time.
The boy asked him where he wanted to sit or if he wanted to watch him cook. Katou looked down to the ground and mumbled out, " You cook... I watch..." Was all Katou could get out in a small and soft voice that sounds really out of place with his whole general appearance. Luka-senpai spoke up again this time about some clothes and gestured to it, Katou turned his head to look at it, his mouth clenched tight at the sight of the clothing, why, why was he being treated like this? Like a person treated with kindness and respect?
Katou let go of Luka's hand and walked over to the clothes on the bench and hesitantly reached for the clothing with one hand he even pulled his fingers back an inch when he felt how soft the fabrics were, it wasn't scratchy, itchy, and constricting. Luka's rambling words went from one ear to the other as Katou better grabbed the clothing and pressed it against his chest, even though his thin shirt felt a softness he has never felt in his life before from the fabrics. In a comparison of these' clothes, his old clothes looked horrid, all patchy, torn and damaged, it was clear that it wasn't an intentional style choice, he was broke, and it showed. Tears were welling up in his eyes he never felt anything so delightful in his life.
Luka's next words caught his attention, saying once he's changed, he gets to pick what to eat, which caught Katou by surprise. Katou's mouth opened up about to ask something, but he clenched it tight and nodded his head. Katou stood there awkwardly for a moment shifting from one foot to the other before asking-or at least attempting to, "Why---nevermind I get change..." Katou let out as he hurried to the bathroom almost flicking a chair with his tail with how fast he was going.
Once in the bathroom and the door locked behind him, Katou looked at his reflection in his ratty, pathy clothing, and then at the clothes tucked under his arm. It was such a difference in style and comfort. Katou bit his bottom lip out of guilt for making Luka-senpai do so much for him. But he also didn't want to make him hate him by rejecting his offer, so he took it and quickly changed from his old clothes to his new one (after making some quick adjustments with his knitting kit, and it felt so different, it felt-pleasant. Like it felt nice to wear these clothes, were clothes supposed to feel so nice? Katou took one last look at his reflection, he, looks, not miserable.
Katou let out a shaky sigh and walked out of the bathroom, looking, less terrifying, and almost normal. Almost human. Katou made a beeline to Luka-senpai, and stood close by, unsure of what to do with himself. In a small voice, Katou said, "Anything....not expired..." Was Katou's only request for food.

The moment Katou took the clothes and ran off, Luka's smile fell, his expression becoming one of concern and barely restrained anger. The situation was far worse than he had imagined, and he'd imagined a pretty bad scenario. It was very clear that the large teen had been severely abused, mentally, emotionally, and possibly physically. For a moment the slime boy felt more than a little overwhelmed with emotion at the events that had brought Katou here, and the urge to hit something as hard as he could was difficult to ignore. In the end however, he simply walked his way to the bench and began preparing ingredients, taking his frustrations out on hapless meats and vegetables while the larger boy changed. Humming softly to himself, Luka started up the stovetop as his hands moved almost absentmindedly, chopping and slicing and generally throwing together all the required materials so that it would be easy enough to cook it all as he needed, rather than rush through the preparation work. That was a rather nice change of pace from working in the kitchen normally truth be told, he could pace himself a lot more casually than when he had to make orders for multiple people simultaneously. In the middle of battering some chicken as Katou walked back in, Luka nodded his head towards a stool he'd placed in front of the central bench, so that the other teen could sit and watch as he cooked. The kitchen was sooned filled with the smells of frying meats and the sounds of bubbling pots as Luka worked to the best of his abilities to complete the meal. He may not have been an expert chef, but he was technically a professional one. "So Katou-kun, are the clothes to your liking?" he asked as he began to serve the first part of the meal, dishing out the various parts onto a tray and finishing it all off with a cute bear-shaped chopstick rest. "There we are, for our first course we have Chicken Katsu with White Rice, Miso Soup, lettuce, tomato, and some pickled vegetables," he explained as he placed the tray before the large youth, flipping two bottles absently towards the plate with tendrils of slime as he poured Tonkatsu and Mayonnaise onto the katsu before smiling widely at the scorpion boy, "seems to me like you could use some comfort food. Please, eat, I'll have some when I'm done cooking~" While Katou began to eat, Luka went back to work. The next dish was a little more tricky, but he went about it with gusto, washing up dishes from the first course whenever there was a lull in the cooking of the second. He hummed quietly and casually to himself as he worked, deciding not to talk too much to Katou as the other boy ate, partially because he wanted Katou to focus on eating, and partially because he felt like it would make the winged-scorpion more uncomfortable to be under too much scrutiny. It was an unfortunate situation that Katou was in, and Luka wasn't too sure how else to help him. He'd already expressed his concerns to Tetsu-nee and the staff, he's gotten Katou some clothing and some actual food, both of which sould last the soon-to-be First Year until he moved into the dorms, there really wasn't much else he could do. That didn't mean he didn't want to. "Ne, Katou-kun, do you think you could coil your tail up close to your body? I was thinking maybe if we put a hole in a backpack that was big enough you could walk around without anyone really remarking on your quirk. Some facial markings and set of wings might be enough to avoid the worst attention," he suggested as he began to put the rest of the meal together, the various parts cooked to an adequate level and ready to be served. Regardless of whether Katou had finished the first part, Luka set a large steaming bowl down in front of the other teen, a rather wide grin on his face. He knew he could do at least this dish very, very well. "Dig in~" he declared as he grabbed his own share of the Chicken Katsu and sat down across from Katou, digging in with the gusto of the famished. Even if he hadn't been working quite hard all night, Luka generally ate quite a bit, so he was happy to have something to fill his belly before he went home. He would remain quiet for a time, to allow Katou to eat and hopefully become more comfortable. He didn't really know what else to do, this was all new territory for the Slime Boy.

Katou stood next to Luka-senpai until the small boy asked him to sit on a nearby stool at a table, Katou nodded and then made his way to the seat and sat down, the wood whined under his immense weight. Katou looked uncomfortable sitting on the stool, not due to his tail which he has wrapped around the legs, but rather, he doesn't know the formality of eating at a restaurant, his father, could never afford to eat at a place like this, not with how they struggled.
Katou tried to make himself look smaller while on the stool with his head and shoulders lowered into his chest, his and his arms pressed close to his chest. He didn't want to take up any more room then he already was. Katou couldn't help but sniff the air as Luka-senpai cooked the food. Katou has never smelt something so good in his life. In comparison, his eggs this morning were awful. Katou could feel his hunger bubbling up to the surface, a feeling he got used to in life. Katou's eyes weren't looking at anything but the surface of the table he didn't feel right being in here let alone eating the source of that delicious smell.
Suddenly, Luka-senpai asked if the clothes were to his liking, as he started serving the food, and handing him a pair of chopsticks before Katou looked at the food he answered, "Clothes are... nice... comfy... smells clean... not itchy..." Katou said in a soft and scratchy voice, Katou also realized when Senpai was giving him his food, how small he was he could wrap his tail around him at least twice if he wants to, Katou then looked at the food with child-like amazement and then up at Luka-senpai as he talks about the food. "First course?" Katou asked.
Katou looked at the food for a second, making sure there wasn't any mold or bugs he needed to pick out, but when he saw none of that, he poked the food to test how hard it was, it wasn't it felt---soft. Katou looked over at Luka-senpai and said, "It's... fresh... new... not expired..." with that Katou took a cautionary bite after grabbing the chopsticks. And---it was so good. He never tasted anything like this in his life. The meat was warm and juicy, the rice was soft and tender, not hard and dry, the soup tasted fresh, and not at all stale, Katou at some point tears started welling up in his eyes as he ate, he never ate food so good in life, and it made him realized how bad everything he ever had was awful.
Katou had devoured his first course within minutes, his face was honestly a mess, one would've thought he was a starving beast, which isn't too far from the truth. Luka-senpai talked to him again as he sat there awkwardly after he finished his first meal, despite how messy his face was, the table was spotless. "I could... like to... hide my quirk? " Katou asked, he never thought of that, but he shakes his head, "No... It's who I am... I shouldn't hide... who I am" Was all Katou said on the subject before the main course arrived, chicken Katsu. Katou stares at it for a moment longer than what was needed. But once his admiration of the food was done he dug in, he ate much slower than the first course, wanting to make this moment last longer.
Katou's tail unknowingly uncoiled from the chair leg and started to wag behind him like a dog. The more he ate the faster it wagged. Katou started to cry as he ate. The food tasted so amazing and better than everything he ever had in his life. Mid-bite he lowered his bowl, Katou let out a sob, "It's so good senpai... I'm sorry you're wasting such a perfect meal on somebody like me... " Katou said as he bought up his arm to wipe away his tears, "but...thank you senpai..." Was all Katou said with a sniffle as he dug into the chicken Katsu wholeheartedly again. He was being greedy, but he couldn't help himself from being so greedy he never had real food this good in his life. And a part of him wanted more.

It was gratifying to see someone enjoy his cooking in such a way. Sure, he could cook better than most and was technically a professional chef, but it wasn't like he was a particularly good one, just good enough that customers kept coming back. "We don't serve expired food here," he remarked as he began to eat his own food with the sort of gusto that one would not expect from such a small boy. He tried to ignore the tinges of concern as he noticed Katou tearing up, he could guess why, and it wasn't something he thought was a good idea to point out. Instead he remained quiet and ate, letting the other boy recover from the food. "It might be who you are, but it doesn't mean you can't keep it hidden for a bit to get some piece and quiet. I mean, you won't have to at U.A., but it might make trains and walking around a bit easier for you," was Luka's response to that issue, the blue haired boy shrugging slightly with that said, he stood and got some paper napkins for the larger boy to use as necessary, placing them beside Katou without any sign of concern for the scorpion-quirk's intimidating appearance. Devouring his own ramen in short order, Luka let out a satisfied sigh as he patted his belly, leaning back slightly on his stool as Katou continued to eat. His contentment dried up however when the boy declared that not only was the meal perfect, that it was wasted on him. Frowing, Luka shook his head, "you probably enjoyed every bite of that more than anyone else I've ever seen eat my food. I'm really not that good a cook, and to see you love what I made that much means it wasn't wasted." While Katou continued to eat, Luka got up and began fiddling with something on the other side of the kitchen, hiding his displeased expression at the treatment the other boy must have experienced to be responding to the food in such a way. "Are you ready for desert? Be careful, it's still cold" he said, customer service smile fixed firmly on his face as he turned back around, a small glass bowl in his hand as he walked over and placed it next to Katou. The coloured and flavoured mochi had been wrapped around a similar flavoured ice-cream, producing a cool, sweet treat to finish off the admittedly heavy meal that Luka had made. With that supplied, he returned to the benches and began preparing the last part of the night's meal, some tea. While the German in him could have gone for some hard liquor to deal with this nonsense, he was still very much underage and not even allowed to go near the restaurant's alcohol selection, let alone have a key to it. Setting the teapot on the table between them, Luka sat down with his own share of the mochi wrapped ice cream, poking at it with the wooden 'fork' meant to be used to eat it before taking a small chunk of it and popping it in his mouth with a smile. Even through all this negative atmosphere, ice cream made everything better.
"So Katou-kun, what are you hoping to achieve at U.A.? What's your plan, besides going into support I mean. Have you thought of a specialty? Of what you want to do once you've graduated?" he asked, knowing that there was probably something in those questions that would prompt an answer that would upset him, and bracing himself for when it came. But he also felt it important to try and give Kouta connections and show him that people cared. It'd be so easy for the lost boy to get snapped up by villains and encouraged to harm people in response to the poor treatment he had experienced. If no one reached out to Katou, what might happen? He couldn't ignore the cry for help that he heard from the much larger boy, and he was determined to be one of the people to provide that help. Even if he couldn't do it alone, he could do his part to make Katou's life a better one.

Katou has never had such a fresh meal in his life, and it felt filling, warm, made him feel good. Not what food usually does to him. Most of the time, food made him sick, weak, and awful. But no, this food made him feel good inside. It was strange, foreign, yet right. Like he was missing a huge part of his life up until this moment until he had this meal that made him happy. Luka responded to his comment about how they don't sell expired food, Kato looked at his meal and said, "The only store that sells to me only gives me their leftovers or what's left of the night," Katou said that as if that was normal to say but he went back to eating.
While Katou was eating away, Luka spoke up about the whole disguising himself thing. Katou looked sad over the topic. "People get mad when I lie to them, and I never been on a train since I was very young..." Katou mentioned in a tiny voice hoping Luka-senpai doesn't pick up on his words. Suddenly, Luka walked closer to him and put down napkins, which after a moment of staring he realized his face was still dirty, Katou whispered out a small, "Sorry..." before wiping his face clean, Katou didn't realize how much of a slob he was being.
Katou was devouring yet enjoying his food as he eats, but he wasn't eating as fast as Luka senpai. As Katou was about to finish off his food, Luka said how his cooking isn't the best, and that him enjoying it more than anybody else made him happy. Katou couldn't believe that anybody could think this food isn't the best thing ever. It was the best food he has ever had in his life, and as he finished he let out a small sigh, and his head suddenly felt heavy yet light, he wanted to sleep all of a sudden, and rest.
But before Katou could doze off, Luka brought over dessert, Katou tilted his head, he never had dessert, he hoped it was as good as the meal. Luka said to be careful it's cold, Katou curiously picked up the mochi with his hand and just took a chomp out of it, and with how bright his eyes shined and his excited expression you could tell this is his first time eating ice cream. Katou couldn't help but say, "It's so sweet!" with childlike wonder in his voice. Katou then grabbed the second one and the third and----everything stung, his head hurt, it wasn't awful, but he could feel it, Katou after eating the third mochi grabbed the sides of his head and let out a small whimper sound at the pain in his head.
Slowly the pain ebbed away to clarity and Katou couldn't help but make confused whines at the random pain he felt, did he do something wrong, was he being punished for enjoying the food too much, was he being too greedy? Luka's words kinda went from one ear to the other as he suddenly felt guilty over being here and enjoying his meal too much.
Katou's previous confidence and bravery faltered, and he started to fall into himself like he always does when he feels pain. Katou tried to piece together what Luka-senpai said and all he could let out was, "uhh... umm... I-I didn't think that far ahead... honestly... I didn't think I would get this far... that I would ever go to school... with others like me..." was all Katou murmured out while his tail curled around the stool once again. He was reverting to his more docile and passive self.

It was somewhat amusing watching Katou react to the ice cream mochi, although Luka's amusement turned sour as he realised the larger teen was legitimately distressed by his brain freeze. The slime cursed his stupidity, of course Katou wouldn't know what a brain freeze was, he doubted the scorpion-quirker had ever had something that cold in his life. "Press your tongue against the roof of your mouth, it'll warm your mouth quickly enough to end the pain sooner," he instructed as swiftly as he could, trying not to sound like he was giving orders or was angry. "That's called a brain freeze Katou-kun, if you eat something as cold as ice cream too quickly your brain gets tricked by the body's reaction to try and warm your mouth back up, it's nothing to worry about, just take it a bit slower, ok?" he tried to explain, so that Katou could understand what happened to him and why. Because it seemed that he had already reverted back to a much less confident demeanour from something as simple as that.
What a nightmare.
That brought up another potential issue that Luka hadn't considered... if Katou had been eating such bad food all his life, how was his digestive system going to handle eating properly for the first time? With a slight grimace, he realised he'd probably made another mistake, better to let Katou know now rather than simply be miserable and confused if his body decided it couldn't handle what he ate. "Ne.. Katou-kun, I just realised your body might not have been ready for food like that, it might need to be eased into eating real food. It could be ok, you might have a sturdy enough digestive system to be fine, but I thought I should warn you that you might experience some pain and discomfort from eating. If it happens, it's nothing permanent, or anything you did wrong, but I wanted you to know it might happen. I'm sorry if my thoughtlessness ends up causing you distress." From his stool he bowed relatively formally to the other boy, a sheepish expression on his face. He really, really hoped that it didn't do anything to Katou, but it would be far too irresponsible to ignore the possibility.
With that thought expressed, he turned his attention back to the original topic of discussion, a hand coming up to his chin in thought. "Support tends to focus on three sort of areas, I think. The obvious one is invention and creation of technology, a lot of support students make really crazy things," he thought about the Death Roombas, the robo-dog, and the various other things he came across. Yes, support students could definitely produce things that would have been science fiction only decades ago. "The next area is medical treatment, for people who are more interested in healing and maybe biological aspects of quirks. My sister is actually a doctor, though she didn't spend any time in the support course... anyway," it still felt raw to talk about Elise, so he decided to move on, "I don't know how accurate it is, but I think support students also can focus on disaster relief and rescue. I mean, heroics students would do that too, but I imagine that it's probably some part of support, surely..." he shrugged slightly and speared a slice of the ice cream mochi, popping it in his mouth and chewing slightly before swallowing. His ability to bite into ice cream caused a number of people in his life discomfort, but he doubted it'd bother Katou.
"I know you're moving in a little early, so maybe you could spend a little time thinking about what you wanna do. I mean, it's not like you have to decide or anything though, you have three years of U.A. before that becomes something for you to worry about, and obviously it's part of your schooling to be helped decide your path. As long as you try your best, you should be good." He was babbling a little, but he'd already blundered a few times, and he didn't want to make it worse. "Did you maybe have any questions you wanted to ask? I promise I'll answer as best I can without getting made, kay?" He rather hoped to draw Katou more out of his shell again, because the last thing he wanted was a retreat back to that uncertain and shy individual. It wasn't a positive thing for him.

Katou did as Luka told him to do, and it helped end the unexpected pain quickly. While his head's pain ebbed away, Luka explained what happened. That since he was too greedy with eating his mochi that it caused the pain. Katou felt like he was messing this whole thing up by not knowing anything, which with Luka's scowl didn't help. Katou sat tensely in his chair, with his hands now on his lap looking more docile and weary. Katou was starting to worry that Luka senpai didn't like him after meeting him.
Katou sat there with his head lowered and fearful of any reprimand and pain, instead Luka after a weighty silence spoke up, about how his body might not accept it, Katou didn't raise his head when he spoke about this subject, instead, keeping his head down to look at his claws. Katou felt anxious, sad, like a failure. For making Luka-senpai spend so much time and energy on him, to waste their time with him. Katou wants to cry.
When Luka bowed at him, Katou feebly looks away in shame, as his claws tightened into fists. Luka tried to move the topic along to the support course. Luka explained how smart and inventive the course is. Which frankly intimidated him somewhat, Katou knows he's far from the cleverest or creative person around. Katou responds with a simple, "Yeah..." With a meek expression and slight nod of his head. The next topic brought Katou him out of himself a little bit, as he finally looked up from his claws to look Luka in the eyes as he talked about the medical side of the support class. Katou bit his bottom lip and decided to talk a bit more, "t-that's the field I'm planning on exploring... I-I learned first aid after ... kids would bully me ..." by trying to tear off my carapace with sticks and rocks, pull at my wings as hard as they could hoping to tear them off, pull at my tail seeing what would happen if it got snapped off. This is what Katou wanted to add to that, but instead, his words died mid-sentence. Katou instead sank more into himself as he reminded himself of how he can't trust people. The last bit of Luka's words went over his head as those horrible memories came back to him, and his anxiety levels shot up once more.
Katou's mind flashed back to those horrible children, who would smash rocks onto him, hit him or stab him with sticks, violently grab at his wings hoping to tear them off as children do with bugs with wings and the horrible laughter that echoes in his mind as they would smash broken pipes or any tools laying about against his tail hoping to break the carapace or to snap it off, all because as they said to make the freak of nature squirm. Katou's breathing has hastened and shallow as he is reminded of how horrible people are. And he let himself be tricked that people will ever be kind to a freak of nature such as himself.
Katou suddenly stood up, and shakily stood there for a moment before he bowed at Luka as he said, "Thank you for your hospitality and kindness, but I took enough of your time." Katou hastily said, as he tried to exit the area without damaging anything in his haste. He needs to leave, he needs to leave, he needs to leave- he doesn't deserve this kindness. Something in the back of his mind is yelling for him to be scared, to be weary, to run.
