APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
A tall and slender woman with short and stylish hair, Eve Hallows is a woman with a fine figure and favours fashion that shows this off. Rather fetching facially and sporting vibrant and sophisticated style of hair, Cass has an attractive but slightly cheeky looking image, seeming to carry an innate sense of confidence and flair. Having a rather narrow and delicate looking face, her violet eyes are large and her nose is a little on the thin side, complimenting her elven features perfectly.
The unusual and slightly ‘boyish’ choice of hairstyle something that Eve likes to set herself apart from the crowd with, she keeps her hair trimmed short at the back so that it hangs around the nape of her neck, and keeps it progressively longer the further forward it gets. The fringe portion of her hair the longest part of her mulberry-coloured mane, most commonly she wears this in a parting from the side that slightly obscures her eye, but is known to sometimes were it looser or part it from the center if this style suits her ensemble better.
Pale of skin but not quite so much that it might become off-putting, Miss Hallows has the kind of complexion that can make her look like quite the vamp, and knows how to play this up perfectly. The gothic tastes she possesses leading her to favour heavy eye makeup and deep, rich tones on her lips as a contrast to her doll-like ivory skin, Eve enjoys a bewitching image and possesses enough vanity that she would rarely leave the house without making herself look presentable or like a ‘bewitching goddess’ as she likes to see herself as.
Somewhat grungy and gothic in her casual fashions, Miss Hallows has a rather laidback sense of style when she relaxes, and if one was splitting hairs on the issue actually looks somewhat tomboyish on the whole in the way she presents herself. Wearing scruffy jeans and tank tops or maybe a plaid shirt or sweater, black and red are staple colours in her wardrobe, and she shows the occasional flourish into tones of purple sometimes. Also happy to flaunt her slim but shapely physique, regardless of the type of item she wears Eve often likes to emphasize her attractive qualities with numbers that are tight in the waist, or show off her bust or long legs on her terms.
This however not the limit of how this young lady might style herself however, Eve seems to like to promote her femininity a lot more when she makes something of an effort, and can be far more elegant in her tastes than one might immediately guess. Having a fondness for fancy and memorable items when she dresses to impress, while she might profess some of her interest in girly apparel as being somewhat ironic she wears the items well and enjoys looking at herself and liking what she sees looking back at her.
High boots also something she prefers, she generally wears black or shades as close as she can get to it in this aspect, liking stiletto pointed heels that really stab at the ground when she walks. Often choosing to wear sunglasses even when the weather isn’t too bright, she can use these to hide her eyes and identity from others when she seeks anonymity.

Personality:
A young woman who is chocked full of complications and contradictions but then what would you expect from one so young trying to make her way in the world, Eve Hallows is a soul who gives off a laid back and cool natured first impression, which might not fully reflect her true character all that well at all. The kind of person who is innately aloof and somewhat non-committal who gives the impression that she doesn’t often tend to take life too seriously, to those who don’t know her that well this young woman is sarcastic, fun-loving and mischievous, and while these traits are certainly nothing to be sniffed at they don’t purvey the entirety of her character by any stretch of the imagination.
Playful, mischievous and flirtatious if given the chance, it would be fair to say that to some degree Eve enjoys teasing and toying with other people. A prankster in her youth who has grown into a frisky but feminine thrill seeker, this curious young woman often likes to ‘test’ other people through her machinations, being friendly but somewhat challenging in her countenance. Enjoying making shy people blush or grumpy folk grumble, while she isn’t mean spirited about what she does, Miss Hallows loves to indulge the sense of delight and intrigue she feels when messing with other people for her own amusement, which can rub some up the wrong way.
Open minded and not the sort of person who likes to feel like she is being pressured or controlled, Eve tends to show a habitual desire to go against the grain sometimes which seems to stem from childhood experiences of feeling like an outcast, and as such has chosen to embrace this role rather than fight against it. Trying not to take herself or others overly seriously, Miss Hallows is unapologetic of her habits and interests, though she rarely seeks to assert herself in a way that is aimed at upsetting others. Never afraid to defy the crowd and perhaps even pathological in this desire, there are times when she might make observations that unsettle others with her cryptic witticisms, and seems to enjoy maintaining a certain enigma about her character in order to intrigue others.
However, some might have observed that this whole mechanism that she projects toward others is something of a front, which guards a more deep thinking and sensitive personality beneath the ‘calm waters’ she tries to present. Far hotter in her spirits than she would have you believe in a relaxed setting, Eve can tend to be somewhat tempestuous and fiery in her character when given the chance, and wilfully defiant of any form of authority she does not agree with or respect.
The type who can become rather defensive and opinionated, even though she would like to believe she is open minded and free of judgement due to her interests in counterculture and permissive attitude toward certain taboos, in truth Miss Hallow’s approach to situations and people are far more complicated than she might ever confess. Easy-going, relaxed and confident around those who are like minded to her, around those who challenge her the ‘cool’ she shows can melt quickly and this dark delight can become someone who is far more confrontational than one might guess, and hot-headed.
In truth far more concerned with the opinions of other people than she might ever admit to, Eve has an inherent longing to gain the approval of her peers and seeks validation, and if anything her tendency to split from the crowd is more an expression of that fact than a desire for isolating independence. Relying on her daring to fulfil her desire for attention, much of the reason that this gothic styled girl seeks to define herself differently from others is a mechanism to attract notice and interest from others on her own terms, and in truth despite her professed indifference toward the attitudes of others she is happiest when she impresses the people whom she likes the most, and at her most irritable when she struggles to gain what she craves.
This hidden passion seeming to be the source of both her best and worst qualities, though it may be said that she can be quite wrathful and contentious in the wrong situation, she is also more empathetic and thoughtful than her aloof manner might imply. A girl whose life has not exactly been a picnic for various reasons, Miss Hallows will sympathize strongly with those who face adversity like she has, and this is a line of thought that brings out her own sense of nobility in her, or something close to it. Capable of understanding the pain of others and more protective than she might appear when being a flippant and flamboyant prankster, Eve has the drive to defend those who need it, and to defy what she disagrees with whole heartedly.
Not wholly self-effacing by any means though, despite the principled aims of her heroic work she is not so lacking for egotism that she doesn’t enjoy things like popularity and the inevitable lure of the spotlight. Happy to bask in attention because of her simple desire for validation, Eve likes to hold the attention of strangers and perhaps as a consequence of her youth can be somewhat vain and superior at times when she gains this much coveted reward for her efforts, and is for the most part unapologetic about this trait as well. Seeming to reason that being an outcast for much of her life entitles her to be somewhat selfish with the praise and interest of others, which can make her seem self-centred and sometimes childish, and is probably something she needs to work on as she matures.

HISTORY
A young woman who was born in and hails from Seattle Washington, Evelyn ‘Eve’ Hallows was born to a psychotherapist mother and a father who was a painter, and from a young age showed that she was the sort of girl who stood apart from the crowd for a number of reasons. Somewhat quiet, introverted and cerebral and taking after her father in this regard, Eve was a little girl who often sought to do things independently, under her own initiative, and habitually seemed to show a tendency toward being a somewhat aloof character.
Some mistaking this for shyness when she was little but in a way the girl often happy with just her own company and something to entertain her, she was an avid reader who was soft spoken, and for one reason or another that seemed to make her somewhat isolated at a young age. Not one to mix with crowds all that often and the sort of character who was happier with only having a few friends rather than a group around her, and despite her quiet and somewhat bookish nature she was a frank and forthright girl who readily defied the crowd.
This latter fact something that was something encouraged by her parents, though it made Miss Hallows stand out they always pushed her to follow her own ideas and interests rather than cow to peer pressure, which seemed to give her a strong sense of assertiveness but also make her an easy target for bullies. Readily speaking out against things she disliked and perhaps a bit confrontational when she was pushed, Her inability to fit in or find shelter in the masses meant that folk who took to disliking her would think of her as somewhat ‘defenceless’, and perhaps she was, initially at least.
Perhaps one of the more easily persecuted members of her class growing up due to her unusual appearance and near-fearless forthrightness, folk would pick on her and taunt her for being weird or friendless, which stung her more than she really let on. However Eve was not the sort of girl who would wallow as a victim, and instead possessed enough courage and pluck to fight back, in varying manners of speaking.
The initial method one that got her in a significant amount of trouble, both at home and otherwise, on one occasion she found herself being pushed around by the boys and having her plaits pulled, one intrepid tormentor decided to prove himself the cock of the walk by trying to ‘trim’ her elf ears with a pair of safety scissors which was unsuccessful, but rather painful for her. Crying out and activating her quirk by accident, in an act of self-defence Miss Hallows flung her accoster across the room with her powers without really realizing what was going on and though she certainly shook the bugger up enough that he didn’t fancy another round, her victory would come at great cost really.
Forced to change schools because of her action due to expulsion despite it being self-defence, as if this wasn’t enough she was quickly followed by rumours that she was a freak or a witch or worse, which made it hard to make friends in her new school. People only happy to taunt her as well once they figured out that she was ‘held back’ from using her rumoured powers to protect herself since she didn’t want more trouble, Eve was only further ostracized in her new venue and for a time was left somewhat depressed by this, but gradually learned to deal with it.
Seeming to increasingly adopt elements of counterculture to her image and ideals as she grew older, though Miss Hallows remained something of an outcast for the rest of her life, in many ways she began to embrace the philosophy of getting even, rather than getting mad or sad. Not able to use her powers directly to protect herself but learning to think outside the box and harness them in a more surreptitious fashion in order to help herself out, Eve began to prank and troll her bullies whenever she got the chance, verbally and otherwise. Manufacturing situations meant to scare and freak them out, the girl derived no shortage of satisfaction in her retribution and developed what might even be considered a sadistic side in this element that she retains to this day, though it tends to be one that seems provocation to be seen in its full glory.
Using these acts to ward off trouble or at the very least make sure whoever caused it for her was well ‘compensated’ for their efforts, even though the manifestations of mischief inevitably seemed to create a greater sense of superstition and suspicion about Eve, she began to adopt the persona that others thrust onto her and make it her own. Readily admitting the fact that she was a witch when people mocked her and telling them to be careful because of that fact, Miss Hallows owned the role that her peers had given her in order to curb her harassment and found herself much happier for that fact, and even seemed to attract others to her because of her willingness to dare to be different.
Unfortunately tragedy seeming to strike for her when she wasn’t much more than ten years old, at first Eve thought that she had simply been forgotten about after her violin lesson, instead she found herself being collected decidedly late by a relative with some rather devastating news; her mother was dead. The woman involved in a fatal car crash on her way to collect young Miss Hallows from her appointment, understandably the girl was rather beside herself with grief given how she always felt closer to her matriarch than her often broody and cerebral father, and this was not bettered in the aftermath.
In many ways dear old daddy never seeming to fully get over the loss of the woman he loved, his inclination toward pensive behaviour and tendency to get caught up in his emotions meant that the depression he felt overwhelmed him, and made him neglect his daughter both in a literal and an emotional sense. Suddenly deprived of her mother and confronted by a father who seemed like he wanted to wallow in self-pity, despite the efforts of her extended family to support her Eve became perhaps even more withdrawn and fiercely independent as well. Not wanting anyone else to take care of her if her mother could not, instead she began to take care of herself and her father to an extent, perhaps in some way trying but never really succeeding in filling the void that that wonderful woman’s death left behind.
The teenage years always tumultuous for any girl and Eve no exception, despite the complications of adolescence and enhanced yearning for rebellion this girl actually feels like she enjoyed her time blossoming into womanhood for the most part, though perhaps not for the most wholesome reasons. Always the type of soul who courted controversy and after many years of this seeming to relish this fact, Miss Hallows was defiant despite her innate intelligence, and pursued her own interests rather than the agendas of others. Capable of doing well in school but rarely engaged by many subjects other than art and literature, this blossoming young woman rolled her eyes at her ‘mainstream’ peers and authority alike and preferred to live in a way that felt a bit more unique and interesting, and was more than happy to shun convention because of this.
By this stage in her life definitely falling into the Gothic crowd which she remains a part of know, with a style that was a bit edgier and less refined than her current more mature stylings Miss Hallows found herself as part of a thoughtful and introspective community who had no qualms about having a ‘witch’ among their number, and in fact enjoyed it. This really the first acceptance that people showed of her powers outside of her own opinion and the support of her parents, Eve began to flaunt her powers more and more around her new outcast friends and enjoyed doing so immensely, growing in confidence and ability with her powers as she was given the chance to experiment and test her skills.
Budding into a dark beauty who seemed to be able to turn the head of any boy and even some of the girls around her, even though Miss Hallows refused to play the ‘games’ of her peers and instead stuck to her own, she proved herself something of a winner all the same with her good looks and attitude. The ‘crowning glory’ of her teen years when she managed to seduce and steal away the handsome sports star from the bitchy queen bee girlfriend he had been claimed by, though their connection seemed a fleeting one in the grand scheme of things it was none the less satisfying for this slightly sadistic siren to triumph over these stuck up harridans and only served to fuel her self-esteem more and more really. Boosting her confidence in her looks more than anything, this test of her allure proved to Eve that despite how different she was she could also be highly desirable, and this is an understanding she holds to this day.
Her years in high school all about seduction and sadistic satisfaction either, when Eve was seventeen something happened that seemed to steer her destiny away from being a simple mischief maker and force of counterculture in Seattle, and instead toward something more noble. Quite by chance happening to be a bystander in on the occasion of a car crash, without even thinking about it Miss Hallows rushed to the scene to find the driver pinned in the car as the fuel tank ruptured and leaked everywhere.
Most assuredly reminded of the incident where she had lost her mother and that seeming like the driving force behind her actions despite the danger she would face, Eve felt a mix of panic and determination as she struggled to rescue the poor soul within the vehicle, but despite her feelings of fear did not relent. Herself and several others trying to pry the door open before the leak ignited, in desperation the girl resorted to using her quirk to rip it off and then wrench the person out of their place, and by luck managed to do so only a matter of seconds before the whole thing went up in flames. Fortunately the driver and the people around her happy to overlook and ‘forget’ the fact that she had broken the law by using her quirk due to how appreciative they were of her efforts, Eve was hailed as a hero for what she had done and though she was shaken by the incident, was also exhilarated by it. Which would have a greater impact on her than she ever expected, but we’ll get to that.
The years which she spent in high school not lasting forever, which is perhaps a blessing for most and Eve included to an extent, when it came to deciding what she wanted to do with her future the girl decided to follow the route of expression, having shown she had some talent in art and writing. Perhaps aided by the fact that her home life was somewhat affluent, Miss Hallows was given the chance to try her hand at the things that entertained and intrigued her so she studied art and literature at college level, and enjoyed it, for the most part. Perhaps a little too much in certain regards of indulgence.
Certainly not without ability in her subjects and enjoying the increased level of freedom she was afforded to experiment and better find out who she was, unfortunately it seemed like the longer she stuck with her course the more restless she seemed, but for reasons she did not fully understand. Good at her work, since she was never one for ‘head pats’ for her achievements academically Eve gradually noticed she seemed to crave a little more than what she had, and while a student would find herself in a situation that allowed her to flourish in a manner that seemed to befit her much better than she had imagined.
The sense of excitement and accomplishment which she felt when saving the person from the car never quite leaving the girl and seeming to become more prominent now that she had the time and maturity to express herself more thoroughly, even though it seemed foolish to ‘push her luck’, the girl couldn’t help but develop something of a daredevil streak as a result. More falling into vigilantism by chance and accident than outright intent initially, as further interventions followed Eve became more confident and capable in her abilities, helping people out of binds and even challenging muggers and thugs when she came across them, and began to accrue an urban legend about herself where she was named ‘Salem’.
The esteem of the mysterious woman with the mystical powers something that not only caught the ear of Miss Hallows but was actually something that she rather enjoyed, while the thrill of acting in such defiance and danger was enough of a drug to captivate her, the semi-celebrity status that emerging vigilantes accrued was the icing on the cake, so to speak. Smarter than to risk revealing her true identity due to the legal ramifications, that wasn’t to say she didn’t flaunt her emerging status as much as she could without risking herself, and quickly the girl began to develop a public persona that was very much styled on the witchy character she was attributed in younger years.
Wearing an elegant domino mask to preserve her identity but happily playing up for the crowds and cameras that were pointed her way, in the wake of incidents ‘Salem’ would laugh and even flirt with bystanders before slipping away when the long arm the law would arrive, and really rather enjoyed the role of being centre stage because of what she could do. The ‘reversal’ of the incident from her childhood immensely satisfying, when once she had been condemned and shunned for her strange powers now she was regarded with delight for what she could do with them, and the young woman began to develop quite the ego due to her abilities and the attention she received.
Naturally seeming to also foster ties with her fellow Vigilantes as well, while not all of her ‘friends’ in the field of fighting crime and quirk use tended to approve of how showy she could be, Miss Hallows proved herself an adept team member in spite of her usual desire for independence. Uniting with others for larger jobs and both coming to the defence of and being rescued by others who were brave and bold enough to do as she did, she experienced plenty of camaraderie in this ‘community’ and enjoyed herself for the most part, though she found she oddly couldn’t help but yearn to be recognised more publicly.
Finding that she got her hopes raised for this when Japan announced their own system of publicly recognising and endowing vigilantes as ‘Professional Heroes’, Eve found herself in the hopes that her homeland would follow suit soon after, but was disappointed to discover that for one reason or another they did not. Waiting patiently and continuing her work as a hero, Miss Hallows couldn’t help but start to feel like she was getting a kind of raw end of the deal now that several countries of the world began to adopt similar systems but America did not.
Tempted to duck over the border and try her hand with the Canadian system as her discontent grew, while that would have been relatively easy instead Miss Hallows found her attention and interest drawn to the land that had started it all; Japan. The heroes here seeming to gradually accrue the renown and public interest that Eve felt like she craved, while it was a rather large prospect to flip over to the other side of the Pacific to pursue her ambitions the woman decided upon this and uprooted her life.
Revealing what she had been doing all this time to her parents and perhaps a mite surprised when they revealed that they had already guessed that this figure of the Seattle Vigilante scene was their daughter, though they had their reservations about her going into such a dangerous profession as any parent would have, ultimately they approved and Eve jetted off to another country to pursue this passion. Arriving in Japan in time to take the test to gain her Pro Hero license, thanks to her experience and expertise she managed to gain this much coveted item, and now seeks to establish herself both as a hero and a public figure, seeming to crave both the celebrity status she sees in the role and the excitement she senses in it as well…
Some mistaking this for shyness when she was little but in a way the girl often happy with just her own company and something to entertain her, she was an avid reader who was soft spoken, and for one reason or another that seemed to make her somewhat isolated at a young age.
