The animal was hungry and even though the green Hatsumomo came back from a land far and far away and even though she claimed that she meant well, the animal didnt believe her at all. Thats why it left the school grounds and went to time. It was fine doing things the old fashioned way by getting food where it always used to get. The place with the meat that the humans call the butcher shop.
When the area was busy, the animal would sneak in unnoticed and observe the meat and the humans buying it in exchange for paper and coins. The animal watched and timed everything. Once the humans were willing to make a trade, it jumped and grabbed the piece of packaged meat and decided to run away.
But there is a problem and a risk when it did it. Its poor mutated gem eye, it was in its mouth. Thus when its mouth would close, its vision would worsen. Nevertheless the animal fled and went into the streets, it was sure it heard angry stomping and human noise. It ran as fast as it could get. But with its limited vision, it crashed into something. Before it could react, it felt sharp pain before being picked up and dropped in a dark container that a human would call a smelly trash can. The animal shook its head to get its bearings together

If she was quick she could do this bit of groceries before returning to her duty at the school. She was rather to be quick, she did not want to go after her working hours as sometimes she forget to get out of the school on time and those shops at a particular time were just unwelcoming. She was probably blind for things that were there and did see things that weren't there. But right now she would quickly pick up some mushrooms and tofu for dinner tonight and some things for lunch tomorrow but well she didn't have to go all out considering it was holidays, she had to make things for herself only and she kept forgetting that she was having lunch and thus it was delayed all the time. She sighed as she hurried to the butcher to see if she could get something to make katsudon. She wasn't sure what to do at all.
She hurried on to make sure to check the time this time, she didn't want to take too long at all. She heard some guys mutter something about a freaking green thing and snicker when they walked past her and she stopped and looked at them with an angry look on her face. But they didn't stop to look over their shoulder at her. She was rather cross with them before turning to see what happened, she only heard something, ticking, bumping, it was difficult to describe the sound but there was a feeling that Hatsumomo knew what was going on. There was only one green creature she knew and she extended her own hands. She shivered a little, what if it would spit in her face? She did not have water to clean and she didn't want her eyes to be hurt or anything for that matter. "Alright, calm down." It was a smart creature was it not? "I will open the lid, don't spit." She said, she could hear her own voice quiver but that was just cuz of the acid, she was sure. She opened the lid slowly, trying not to lean in and see what was going on. Was it hurt?
She would eventually have to see if it was the creature she had in mind, the green one.

First there was darkness, then there was a familiar voice saying not to spit and then there was light. Blinding light. For a moment, the animal couldnt see who and what was it, but after its eye adjusted to the light, it saw the familiar face of the green woman
The animal then closed its eye there and rested. It didnt wanna look at her or anyone when it was in pain and in this weakened state, but it could also not move much in this weakened state. Instead it just let the familiar green woman just do what she wants. It was at her mercy. The animal half expected her to just close the lid and say 'good riddance' or something along those lines as the animal did attack her human lover and injured him with its acid. The animal knew that the woman hated it and only helped the animal a bit out of guilt. But now she paid her debt and now she was free to walk away and carry on with her day. The critter thought it can manage by itself, it just needed to rest for some time and after that it could do something about its situation

She leaned over the hole eventually to see the green thing there. Midori, she wasn't sure as she shouldn't give it a name but it did seem to be hurt. Was that blood on the steel floor of this thing? She grumbled some people were utterly ridiculous to animals. But she was a small woman and she would need to see how to get the creature out, he wouldn't be able to jump out in case he was hurt. She could not see where he was hurt but it must be too much of an effort to jump out in that case. She put her bag down and looked around until she found a few crates that she would put on each other and she would climb on it. "Okay I am going to get you out, so bear with me." She really hoped it was a smart one, she grumbled to herself as her mind drifted off while she leaned on the trash can, thank god she wore no dress or skirt today for sure. But what she had thought about was Shizume ask if it was her kid and she gritted her teeth. She did not want to think about that again. Ever again, so she tried to focus on the now.
She leaned over the disgusting garbage can and extended her green hands, she should have found something to hold him but she put her fingers and hands in his soft white mane, "Careful now." She said more to herself than to the creature as she tried to lift it up. Now she would be quick and in the end, flopped down on the pile of crates that she had created as a sort of stairs and she managed to get her back and tissues, "This is going to hurt but I have to clean it okay?" She said to it softly and offered it first a snack that she still had in her purse before she would clean the wound on the side. She should maybe call Nimue with what to do with pets and fur because she still was a bit standardized in her first aid, she should definitely work on that for sure but for now she did her best to clean it and she knotted tissues together to wrap around his little body and to patch it on the side so if the wound would bleed it would come into the tissue. What would she say to it, she simply let go and would see if it would run away.

Sharp pain was all the creature felt. It made hissing noises as Hatsumomo grabbed it, lifed up and finally took it outside of the trash can. Once she did that slowly and carefully she said that she was gonna do something that would hurt. The animal looked at her, but its vision was a bit hazy. The scent seemed to tell it there was a snack. It was handed to the animal, and the creature nibbled on it, but would crunch incredibly hard whenever it felt pain as she cleaned the wound.
Some time has passed, but the animal had no clue how much time, but eventually the green woman Hatsumomo managed to clean the wound and she wrapped around the tissues as if they were like a makeshift bandage. The animal looked at her and tilted its head to the side wondering why she did that and looked down thinking if the animal owed HER now. Hmm, it was a dilemma. The animal thought and thought, until it had a bright idea! Yes yes! It can work with green woman to protect her and help her job! That way it can be at that UA school to see Honey Honey. That seems like a great compromise. The only problem was how to communicate the idea. Hatsumomo could see that the animal went from being pensive to excited about something

She was quite afraid it would spit at her as it hissed and she tried to keep saying that she knew but that she had to get it out. She had to pretend the creature understood, it had seemed to understand a lot already before so why the heck not now. She felt like an idiot talking out loud, but she was going to do it and keep doing it as she would explain that what she was going to do next might hurt. So the best way to approach it was by giving it snacks first and she watched it nibble on the little snacks and well she took that to go and clean the wound. She noticed immediately he did not like it as he made louder crunchy sounds but at least not went to spit at her again and so on. Which was for the better. She wasn't sure how else she would fix it.
Well, that was that and she looked at the creature now that it was done and fixed for as good as she could, tissues in nature wasn't the worst... right? She watched it. She was hundred per cent convinced it would run away now but it didn't and she frowned. Hm, what to do. She took a few steps away from the make-shift stairs she made that she had put him on, she was convinced it was a he after all, and started to move. But it did not, it followed her, and she frowned as it seemed to have been thinking and now had an idea. She crouched down, albeit hesitant, "Don't you have a home?" She asked, giving it more snacks to nibble on, but not touching him. His mane had been very soft but if she would hand him, his new food, she was sure he would eventually spit on her. No thanks. She hoped that since his disappearance he would have found a safe place, outside the school.

The green woman asked the animal if it has a home. And well... home is a very... relative term. What does count as a home? A roof? Well in that case, no. The animal tilted its head as it didnt know how to answer and neither did it care all that much. It had a debt to pay. Protect the green one. Its a win win scenario. She gave the critter some snacks. Snacks that it gently munched on, but not much. It lost what appetite it had and it wasnt hungry. This was a much more interesting matter. As she was done with the snacks, it sat down to observe and watch her. What was she going to do next? Walk away? Well in that case, the animal would follow. If she would turn around, it would stop and sit, and then continue to follow her when she turns to walk again. Simple as that. It was like the story of a puppy following you home. In this case it was a huge mutated green bug. A centepede that was mutated by a Quirk, is now following its new green master home or work or UA or where ever she wanted to go now

Hatsumomo would walk on eventually when the creature was eating the snacks. It did not seem to get her question so she would just let it be. She would turn around and walk away but she swore she heard the tiptoes from the creature but when she turned around it would sit there. It did mean it followed her. She took a deep breath and walked a little faster, she had to bring her groceries home before going back to U.A. Hatsumomo rather did an acid spitting creature near her house or the school for that matter.
she looked over her shoulder again when she got to the apartment complex where she lived and she noticed it. She sat on the stairs that were outside that would go to the first floor and she looked at it. "You can't stay with me?" It hated her before, so why would it now follow her? It did not finish eating its kibble, so it wasn't hungry. She really did not get it and just sighed again. If it continued like this, she would be late after her break back to the school. She had no idea what to do and she could not make it clear to the creature. She was afraid it would be hurt if she left it out here and it still was hurt. Maybe she could put him on her balcony? Would it understand that? Would it be okay with staying there for 3 or 4 hours still?

The animal followed her and stopped whenever she would turn around. She walked faster, but that only made the animal to go into a light jog to follow her and keep up the pace. Gosh, why was she so difficult? Cant she see that it just wants to protect her? The green one soon went to an appartment complex place. It followed her, in a steady pace.
She then sat on the stairs and looked at it. In a confused tone she said that the critter cant stay with her. The creature just replied with a "Bleh" to that idea. It already made its choice. It will protect her and be her companion. But still, there was a look in the green womans eyes. What was she plotting? What was she planning? And why was she so stubborn? What can the animal do to make her see that it was returning the favour? Werent humans supposed to be the smart ones?
Gosh this was so hard. If only it had more intelligence. But it hadnt. And it couldnt speak and be understood. So what gives? Should it just follow her around until it saves her life in return? This was a toughie

Truly the way it walked and followed her was a little cute if it was not a lying creature that hated her and would spit on her, with acid. But on the other hand it was hurt now, she should not leave it outside in the so-called wild of the urban city. She would maybe bring it to her garden. As Hatsumomo lived on the first floor, she had her own little garden and it could stay there for now, yes, was that the solution? She finally got up of the stairs and walked around it to go to her apartment, she had actually no idea if animals were allowed but why care at this point. She opened the door and walked in, she would have to trust society at this moment and she beckoned the strange creature to come along and she walked into her garden. If it followed her, she would jump back in the house, shut her backdoor and ran to close her front door to get back to the garden and open it, she would sit on the floor indoors with her legs outside and stare at it.
"I thought you hated me?" She remembered that moment with Alexa, it did not want her to watch it, it did not want her with everything and ignored her food, while she had cared. It made her feel scared now, why was it following her? She did not know what to do, at home, she at least knew how to reach the sink and get the shower head if it would spill acid on her. What more could she do? She should ignore the rolling thought of the hate she felt for this creature, not because of itself but because previous comments, it could not help they were both green.

The green woman finally beckoned and invited the animal in. Something the small centipede did as it carefully entered the lady's domain. The animal followed her and as it followed it observed its surroundings, looking at what her home looks like. And then she was at a garden place. It followed the green woman there. But she jumped back in the house and shut her backdoor. And she ran to close the front door and then she went back to the garden and opened the door. Now she sat indoors with her legs outside and the two just stared at one another.
She spoke, she said the animal hated her. It was a fair thought. The animal wondered if it should attempt to communicate with her or not. But for now it did not bother. Maybe one day it will learn how to replicate her sounds and her words from her mouth hole. Well, whatever the case, the animal let her be. It only made one sound, it learend how to replicate. Alas it was not a human sound, but it was one that humans liked "Woof" Would she get the hint then? It wanted to be with her, much like he canines do

Hatsumomo stared at the creature that tried to woof and she wasn't entirely sure what to do with it at this point. She just looked at this creature and was so not sure what to do. She extended her hand in the end and wasn't sure if that was good. She held up her hand flat, alright. Her mind was already running towards the sink to wet her hand and get the acid off, but her green hand was extended to the green creature. As flat as possible and unmoving, this so the creature would not feel like she was nervous or that she would attack it again. She had no longer any kibble with her, she wasn't going to say much about it. She would just see if the creature would react to her.
She tried to just let it go, no other thoughts, just stare at the creature with lidded eyes to make her stare not too intense. She would lower her shoulders a lot and look less intense. That's what she had to do and Hatsumomo would see, she closed her eyes and would see what would happen, let it be and let it happen. If it would be good, she would pet him and that was definitely something she would try and she be surprised how soft his mane was.

She extended her hand and the animal slowly approached her as to not disturb her. Seeing her hand, it approached it and sniffed it. The animal tried to memorize her scent. Once it did that, the animal slowly approached her and sat beside her. It did this to calm the green womans nerves. The animal can sense that she was tense. She tried to relax. Heck both did, but there was still that awkwardness stage that they had going on.
Both scared and uncertain of one another. Thats why the animal tried to make the first move and make things better. But it wasnt sure how to about that route. It approached her and sat beside her. But then what? Well... maybe show her it means no harm? In that case the animal started to nuzzle her. Try showing her some kindness and some relaxing gestures. But it wasnt sure how she was feeling about it. So it looked at her to see her reaction and did the same doggy bark as before "Woof"
After that it continued to nuzzle her and show her the kind gesture. Maybe she will be calm now? They needed to make peace. Sadly, the animal couldnt hug her. This was the best it could do

"Your life hasn't been easy has it." She mumbled as the creature sat beside her. She remembered how Alexa talked about it, though the pro-hero or scientist well whatsoever, was probably good with whatever she was doing but there must be a lot of things going on in the creatures live that spilt hate and so on. Hate for the unknown, for the acid, wanting to test on it because it was so weird. Who knew. She looked up really surprised when the soft mane and the little snout hit her and it rubbed next to her and showing it was nuzzling. Her eyes turned big in surprise and she did not know what to say, hesitating she lifted up her hand to pat and ruffle the manes of the creature. The mane might be a little dirty but it was still very soft.
She used in the end both of her hands to pet the creature. "Okay you can stay here, in my little garden, and I will make sure you get food and drink and shelter, and if I am sure you are not drooling, I will see what we do next." Because the acid in her home would be horrible. Here was hoping that no one in the building would look down in her garden and complain, this was going to be a disaster and she still had to tell Itsuki she had it, but those matters came later.
