As Haruto prepared to remove his charges, Tenbi returned... And the outlook was not good. If even Chikako's untrained eyes could see how true the man's injuries were, how could Haruto not? His heart nearly stopped, right then and there. What was the oversight committee doing? How was it possible for someone to become this badly injured in the course of such a controlled exercise. Even the usually mild and polite Haruto wanted to begin uttering such vile curses as "Frick." But he did not. The man was injured, yes. Badly injured. But he was alive. And as long as he was alive, he could be saved. Smoke in his lungs? No problem, that was exactly what Haruto's quirk was made for. Burns? Nimue-sensei had taught him how to treat those, practically forever ago. What was important, was to prevent panic.
And that went for him as well as for everyone else. He took a deep breath, gathering himself, casting glances at the children as he did so. "We should be treating the injuries as though they are real anyways, so... If it is an act, then we should respond to his authenticity with our own... And if not, then we do the same, and make sure he gets to treatment as soon as possible. Here, let me take a look." Yes, the first thing they needed to do was get to safety- But with the bubble of fresh air created by Haruto's quirk, and Tenbi for protection, he had enough time for a quick once over. The man's low pulse led Haruto to frown, and the remains of the emergency signal confirmed his intuition- Something had gone wrong.
But he still had a pulse, and was still breathing- And the smoke in his lungs would be naturally cleared by Haruto's quirk as the boy took the man's pulse. He shot a glance at his partner in this exercise, his eyes telling the whole story. "Go. I'll be right behind." He would affirm Chikako's words with his own. While neither of them was especially fast, it would be best to divide the effort as much as possible. He had mixed feelings on his not having left before Tenbi returned- On the one hand, it did the children no good to see their parents like this. On the other, it was for the best that he had been there to provide immediate aid, removing smoke from the man's lungs. The rest was up to them.
As Tenbi flew forth, Haruto would gather the other three, his quirk emerging once more to tie their bodies to himself. The limp mother would be strapped to his back, while the children would be on each side- "Hold on," The boy would advise them. "We'll be safe soon."
Unfortunately, with this much weight, his wings would be... Impossible. In the first place, he had to stretch physics to lift himself, let alone others. If it was one person, or just the kids, he could use them to glide, probably. But as was... He could only rely on its tensile strength, taking to the window once more. Tendrils rose forth, gripping the sill as he lowered himself, finding new holds each time he lowered himself beyond his range. Tenbi would be faster, but her patient was in more critical condition. The rest was a long trek back to the starting line, assuring the children that all would be well along the way.
In the triage tent, Haruto swiftly made his moves. The mother was lain on a bed, with Haruto going through the motions of initial treatment, ensuring that she was at least feigning stability before looking to find Chikako and the father. This was a rescue operation and not a medical skills check, so he was well within his rights to leave her to the nurses, especially as her unconsciousness was feigned. The father, however... The most he could do was keep the concern from showing on his face as he left the woman and children to the event staff.
For the man... "If there is anything I can do to help, let me know. I may be a student, but my medical skills have been acknowledged by the hero Witch Doctor." Haruto would tell the event staff Chikako had found. To Chikako- "Leave this to me. There are still others in need of rescue... And while I hope not, this shows a distinct possibility that they are in more trouble than they're supposed to be in." He would advise her. If the nurses felt he would be more liability than help, he would do the same... But while his rescue skills had been practiced, they were still a a far cry from his medical knowledge.

Chloe’s Path - The House Fire II
From within the house, Chloe could see the way the fire crawled up the wooden walls and devoured swathes of the pillars supporting the building. The smoke, grey as it pooled on the ceiling like a tumultuous, cloudy night sky, choked Chloe as she moved around. Whenever she spoke or took a breath in, it forced her to cough. And that cough would summon another breath, and thus a suffocating cycle would begin…
However, Chloe’s quick thinking and ingenuity allowed her a unique solution to this problem! Her icy bubble could only hold so much air, but what was held would be enough for at least five minutes, and would be unspoiled by the smoke! Though the clouds would obscure her already frosty vision, it wouldn’t be a problem as she found a pair of wrinkled, elderly Englishmen huddled in the corner of the room. One, seemingly the younger of the two, held the other close to his soot-stained vest. He seemed to be the only one of the pair conscious. Seeing Chloe and her odd, ice-orb-head, the man reacted with faint surprise, before speaking clear English over the fire.
“Please! My husband has passed out! I think he’s breathed in too much smoke!
Suddenly, the front of the building, including the door and the windows, collapses in on itself. Ashes plumed up, further blackening the air. They were now trapped! The conscious man, who called himself Gerald, complains to Chloe about a pain in his hip whenever he tries to stand. It’s not debilitating, but it slows him down significantly. The unconscious one, a balding man Gerald calls Steven, is unresponsive to any attempts to wake him. Chloe would notice, upon inspection, that he is breathing more-or-less fine and is actually acting. Each man is armed with an emergency signaller. The challenge now was finding a way out of this building before it crumbles onto their heads!
“The walls!” Gerald chokes, unable to finish his sentence before needing to catch himself. How was Miss Crawford going to get herself out of this one?
Chikako & Haruto’s Path - The Riddle FINAL
Getting to the triage tent, for either student, was not a problem. They had delegated the work in a correct manner, allowing Chikako to return to the tent two deadly minutes ahead of Haruto with the truly injured actor. "HEY, I don't think this is acting" Her voice raised alarms in the tent. Most of the nurses there, women with hair tied up in buns, were chatting idly with the ‘survivors’. A good number were here and around, presumably escorted by the opposing team.
They all stared at Chikako, flinching at the sight of Tenbi and all recoiling hard when the burned man was lowered onto a gurney. The nurse at that station, looking no older than 20 and wearing a face mask, backed away, giving panicked eyes to Chikako. Her mask moved slightly. She was speaking, but nothing came to Chikako’s deaf ears. The nurse looked over to another nurse, this one older. If Chikako could see her, she was holding an emergency signaller and was tapping it steadily while speaking.
About now, Haruto arrived. “... paid enough for this!” he’d hear, in English, as, towing the children and the mother, he entered the triage tent. Haruto moved quickly, the actors being shifted away from the injured man. Even the mother ‘suddenly regained consciousness’. The woman, with straight black hair and a beauty mark right below her bottom lip, stretched out and yawned. In English, she spoke up. “Jesus, you could’ve gone a bit faster! I was about to pass out!” she glared at Haruto, but rolled her eyes if the boy replied/ignored her. The children ran to the other side of the tent, into the arms of a nurse who scrounged them for injuries or marks. They spoke happily, ignorant of the terrible injuries dealt to the actor playing their father.
When Haruto addressed the nurses there, he was met with blank stares. “Kid, we’re not really medical staff! We’re actors too! Look around!” Not that she’d mentioned it, none of the appropriate gear was around for proper recovery and first-aid… Painfully little! “But… Don’t worry, I’ve called for the emergency med-” at that moment, three figures in paramedic uniforms burst into the tent. They spotted the man and instantly took over at his bedside. One of them, a tall man, gave Chikako an appreciative pat on the shoulder and said… something. Haruto said something too… The chaos was silent, as always. “Alright.. Well, it looks like we’ve got everything here… Freak accident beside- I’m supposed to tell you to go out and help more folks…” she looked a bit sceptical at the burned man. “Wouldn’t blame you if either of you wanted to just sit out though- that’s pretty gruesome to see…”
If they stayed, there would merely be time to talk or make a plan. If they left right away, they’d - in theory - have more time to save lives. Regardless, the same nurse would eventually tell them of their available tasks. They can either repel rioters on the west side of the city, who are apparently bothering rescue efforts; report to the head of the Trained Band on Pudding Lane to the north to assist in creating fire-breaks or simply search for further souls being lost in the flames! They may stay as a pair, or go their separate ways. Both are also made aware of Chloe’s position if they wished to help her at all.
- The House Fire is in-progress! -- Gerald & Steven must be rescued! --- Gerald is conscious, but slow. Steven is unconscious! ---Complication! The house is collapsing!!! Chloe must find her way from the house with both men before it crumbles!
- The Riddle has been completed! -- Injured man has been delivered! -- Children & Mother have been delivered! -- Triage tent nurses revealed to be actors!
- Haruto & Chikako are now free to move on to other encounters or stay at the triage tent! -- As a note, all tasks from this point on are provided to Chikako in sign language or in writing.

Fancy us meeting like this~? ❝ “Oh hello, I’m Chloe… I’m here to help. What are your names?” The worried words of the man immediately drawing both the ears and eyes of the emerald enchantress, she pushed her way close to the pair of people within the wicked smoke and crouched alongside them as speedily as she could, looking from one and then the other. No signs of injury… As he said, I think he’s just been overwhelmed by the smoke? By no means an expert in medicine but handy enough with the skills she had learned at school, whilst Chloe could never truly be sure there wasn’t something more to the situation than what she could see as she scanned the unconscious man he didn’t seem to be hurt in any noticeable way, and that was encouraging for the young woman to see at the very least. “I think he’ll be OK if we can get him, and you, out of this smoke…” Trying her best to stay calm despite the hellish scene that surrounded them, once she had given them both a quick visual once over Miss Crawford nodded and tried to encourage them as best she could, trying to think of the best way to get the duo out of here as quickly as possible. I should make these guys bubbles as well, just to help them out… Smoke exposure the big risk for them, as proven by the one of these men who had already succumbed to their exposure, the British brunette assessed the pair and the scene around her as she thought of the best method to evacuate them, but unfortunately before she had the chance to think of all that much she found herself being pressed for time already. “Oh no!” The cry of the conscious victim of the fire catching her attention, as he cried out in alarm a what was going on the green eyed girl responded instinctively and spread her arms wide, activating her quirk as she did so. Because of this a bigger bubble seeming to sprout around her, not only did it encompass her head but also the whole of her as well and the duo that she crouched with to boot, wrapping them in a barrier of protection that was as strong as steel and hopefully enough to protect all three from the dangers that surrounded them. However, it would come at a price. I won’t be able to keep this up forever… Tending to only use her quirk sparingly because of the strain it placed on her, though her ‘shell’ was plenty tough it would sap Chloe’s endurance quickly, and that drain was probably going to happen in double time due to their current situation. The breathing of the beauty what was affected most by strenuous use of her quirk like this, in a scenario where she was already struggling for air that was likely to affect her faster than ever, which was not good news when one was currently trapped in a blazing inferno. “H-Here, I’ll help to move him…” This prompting the thinking of Miss Crawford as she searched for an escape both for the pair and now herself from the strain she was put under, even though she knew that it was going to do her stamina no favours the femme acted quickly and decisively in her next deed, and swept the slumbering soul onto her shoulders as she sought to get out of here as quickly as possible. Thankfully the training she had done as a hero enough to enable her to carry a grown man like this without too much issue, she hoped that the other would be able to move with them under his own steam as she prepared what could be considered an emergency exit with her next act, and pulled her free hand back in order to get that ready. “Unffff!” Thrusting forward with her palm as she called upon a little power from the potent skill she possessed, for a moment the bubble that the brunette had birthed seemed to suddenly spike outward like a ram and smash into and through the wall nearest them to provide a ‘door’ through which they could leave. Stretching her creation out like this only creating more strain of course but hopefully the effort only needing to last a matter of seconds, the emerald enchantress extended her field of protection just far enough that the ‘gang’ could move clear of the burning building, and began to stomp through the opening she had made because of it. “Let’s just… Get outta here… As quickly as we can?” This of course not the easiest task in the world but the exertion she put herself through seeming like a better alternative to letting the smoke and flames get the better of her, Chloe shook her head and called for the other of their number to come with her as speedily as he could manage, breathing heavy but not giving up just yet… @tag | Word Count: ### | Outfit

"Our job is to be a hero, we are almost third years. If we can't help now, then this whole event is for naught", she said as she shook in fear for a bit. "There might be more hurt, if we don't save them a hero might but it might be to late", chikako announced to the doctor in response. She was not the bravest, hell, she did not even want to be in the vicinity of U.A for most of her time; she was a nobody whom time will forget but that did not mean she would not help those that needed it if she could.
She gulped and her summon dispersed into a dark cloud and she quickly ran towards the fires after a second delay as she mustered her courage to continue. Though, it would be important to tell Chloe that this was not completely a drill; some things were going wrong. "Chloe, something's going wrong, some of the injured are really injured", she said briefly with her hard to hear voice and continued on her way. She did not check to see if Haruto followed, in contrary she hoped he stayed he was the best for the job in regard to saving lives.
TLDR:
Gives a speech to doctor despawns tenbi so she can run runs back to the fires tells chloe some messups have happened so watch out

Chloe’s Path - The House Fire III
As the house was currently combusting, it was hard to see or hear or smell just about anything besides fire. And when one would believe the yellows and oranges against the stark oaken browns and pallid creams would die down or meld harmlessly - they simply raged harder. Like a shroud. Chloe’s shell came out as a pulse of wind, shoving away the toxic fumes. Immediately Gerard began to breathe lighter. A soft, oak fire perfume permeated the new air, almost pleasant, if not for the context… But the problem didn’t end with a giant eggshell! So Chloe, crushing the barrier and sending it forth, pierced the thick smoke and sundered the wide, wooden wall with a mighty smashing sound that overtook the crackling. The tunnel to their salvation was more than enough. “Incredible..” Gerard muttered, watching Chloe lift his husband onto her shoulders and the display of power. At her word, he started hobbling out of the building and into the cooler street. They were freed. They were safe. “Thank you-” Gerard clutched at Chloe’s shoulder with a grateful grin. “I can- I think, I can take him from here… Thank you, hero…” It took a couple of minutes for the elderly couple to disappear toward the triage tents and it was at that point Chikako came running down the street. Alone. Haruto remained back in the tents to help with further injuries.
And so the report was given. That some injuries weren’t fake. That some actors weren’t acting. As soon as Chikako spoke to Chloe, there came the soft bout of laughter only the latter would hear. Chikako would see, about 80 meters down the street, a man in bright blue period clothing holding something. She would see him throw this thing through a window and a sudden flourish of flames that the figure covered himself against. The blue clothes gave away his purpose, but just as Chikako would have the chance to warn Chloe, the figure eyed them both and shouted something in loud English that not even Chloe would hear.
This man was a rioter. And the civilians and rescuers were suddenly in danger.
- The House Fire has been completed! -- Gerard & Steven have been saved!
- The Riots have been encountered! -- The task of this encounter is to defend the triage tents from rioters, as well as any other civilians in their path! The Rioters must be stopped! -- One Rioter has been spotted, many more are now in the area! --- Rioters are considered Dangerous and should not be confronted near civilians! --- To our heroes, the Rioters are extremely weak, requiring very little effort to subdue! --- Make sure subdued Rioters are still safe from the fires and other Rioters! --- They are armed with blunt weapons and Molotov cocktails! --- They will destroy all buildings in their path, reducing the chance of saving civilians!

Fancy us meeting like this~? ❝ “Heheheheeh… Just look after yourselves, OK?” It certainly coming as something of a relief when she got the chance to ‘deposit’ her two targets of rescue off her shoulders in the waiting area, though Miss Crawford was trying her best to conceal the fact as much as she could the combination of quirk use and carrying an adult was leaving her somewhat fatigued, and because of that her brow was masked with glistening moisture and breath was a little bit ragged as well. Really the response of her quirk like ‘double damage’ on her stamina, though it was a potent and versatile skill the payback for that quality seemed to be that it would bite hard when pushed too hard, and made it that much harder to recover her breath in a situation where every single one was such a desperate necessity. That’s knocked the stuffing out of me… Certainly more than ready to take a break if she could so as not to run the risk of pushing herself too far and affecting both her quirk and her general condition by doing so, as the elderly pair of men wobbled their way to the triage tents the brunette let out a slightly sagging sigh and sucked on the air afterward in order to draw it into her lungs more fully, but could feel the shortened capacity even now. Even those ‘Kirkouts’ don’t tire me out this fast? Perhaps a little bit thankful that she had been forcing herself through regular endurance sessions with a certain loud and exuberant schoolmate in these sorts of situations, Chloe could guess that her efforts with young Mr Bluster were probably the reason she wasn’t completely wiped out by this point, but honestly did not know how much further she could go after this, especially if she needed to use her quirk in such a manner for every rescue she went through. “C-Chikako!” This concern certainly making the unexpected appearance of her teammate seem all the sweeter for Miss Crawford as she took a few steps and a lot more deep breaths to try and steady herself, as the form of her friend from art club bounded down the street the brit was at her bubbliest in her greetings, and sorely tempted to throw her arms around the girl as well. “You’re alright! I’m so glad!” Raising her hand girlishly and waving as she felt a wave of relief at both the fact she was have an extra set of hands to held her and the realization that her buddy in this bout was doing well, while she wanted to enquire about Haruto and how they had been doing since separating from her it seemed that this pretty young artist had something to tell her and the emerald enchantress paused to give her the chance to do so, but was given no chance to hear what it was. What was…? The combination of the softness of her comrade’s voice and the frenzied atmosphere seeming to deprive the breezy beauty of her chance to really assess much of what her teammate had told her, as a strange laugh erupted into her ears and then something bright and loud caught her attention that Chloe could do was turn around to see what was going on, but she froze in fear the second that she did. What is he doing?! Turning on reflex and immediately seeming to register the fact that this figure in blue was doing something which was making the fires worse, even though the woman known as the White Wind comprehended what was occurring on some deep level and felt her insides go cold because of that understanding at the same time she couldn’t quite believe what she was seeing, and found herself rooted to the spot for a second or two in bewilderment as she digested the display the had dismayed her so very much. “S-Stop, please! STOP!” The hairs on the young heroine’s neck standing on end as she saw someone with pure malicious intent seeming to strut down the street with no apparent aim than adding to the trouble before them, as her throat grew dry Miss Crawford found her hands balling into shaking fists, and her emotions got the better of her as she gave a begging shriek for the fool to cease his activity. Unsure of exactly why she tried to reason with the rioter but something naïve and innocent within the british belle hoping that the severity of the situation had enough weight within it to somehow spark some sense of humanity in this miscreant, all too soon she was running toward the menacing figure in the hopes of calming him down or something, because she was not overly fond of the idea of the alternative. “There’s no need for violence, please, haven't these people have suffered enough?” Perhaps something about the stress of the moment making the student perceive the situation wholly seriously, even though this was a mock up the brunette responded with a sober sense of honesty to what she saw, as if everything was real to her and she had completely forgotten that she was in the middle of a demonstration right now. Never expecting to meet with those who would seek to disrupt her efforts to rescue others however and perhaps that the reason that Chloe did not guess that was another stage in this exhibition, instead all she could do was dash forward and hope she could talk some sense into the foreign figure who had appeared, but whether she would succeed was anyone’s guess. @tag | Word Count: ### | Outfit

Chikako did not like how things were going at all, especially since someone was already gravely injured. If one was injured, it was possible that another one was injured for real as well; a precious life you cant get back again. This whole event needed to stop, for the safety o the actors they were meant to save; it's just this time it might not be an act they might actually have to be saved! "Chloe, we must stop this event, someone was seriously injured. If one was, another might be as well...if not dead!", she mentioned the possibilities which as aspiring heroes they had to always be aware of after all. Then the next actor came, a rioter, a horrible time for such a violent role to show up.
"Mister! We have to stop this event", she screamed to the rioter. "Someone was gravely injured, at worst someone might die if that's not the only one!", she tried to tell the actor; after all this was all just an act he must care for his colleagues no? or at least his own life. "There is no need for someone to die over a show, the guy whom I saved was gravely burned and might be scared for life even though he got medical attention soon!", she said panicky.

Heated Exchange I
The rioter was closing the distance at a mere walking pace, a sick and twisted grin stretched over his face. Over the roar of the flames, it seemed that neither of the parties could clearly understand what the other was saying, or at least he didn't seem to bother. As chloe drew closer, the rioter pulled another one of the explosive cocktails from his coat!. His gazed pierced into Chloe's with wild eyes. Alas, her words fell on deaf ears! He stretched the bottle towards the flames, setting the cloth alight! His other hand reached for a simple wooden club that rested at his side!
A man that couldn't have been younger than forty rushed out of a building across the street, yelling at the man to stop his insanity, and a few more words unintelligible at the distance Chloe was currently at. He was quick, then to slam the side of his fist against the rioter's shoulder! Wasting no time, the rioter would bash his club against the innocent man's head, sending him straight to the ground, and yet he still managed catch himself, blood pouring from his head, doing his best to start crawling away from the rioter!
As the girl drew closer still the rioter would let out a gasping, wheezing laugh before tossing the cocktail towards the window of a building on the other end of the street! He charged forth, club raised, and, for the first time since their encounter began he would shout a coherent sentence! "Shutup, girlie!" If Chloe didn't manage to block the blow or move out of the way, he would bring the weapon straight down on her head with an overhead swing! "Come near me again an' me an' the boys'll be sure Stupid here meets the good lord real soon!"
Boys. Plural. The rioter they had encountered was merely the first of many. Chloe would be able to see them about her, One was rounding a corner to her left down an alley-way, one was further down the street lighting the cloth to another cocktail aflame, and yet one more emerged behind her from another crevice. Chikako, being behind her partner would have the fortune, or perhaps misfortune of watching as these three extra rioters came forth. Should none of the rioters be dispatched soon, Chloe, and the bleeding man not more than a few meters away, would find themselves nearly surrounded.
"Oh, God, please no!" The random citizen could do little but cower now as the rioters drew closer. "L-lady, please! Don't worry about me, stop these villains before they-!" As if on cue, the rioter forward down the street had his explosive lit, which he promptly threw up into the thatched roof of what seemed to be a normal residential house.
In the distance rose another sound, one quite out of place in seventeenth century London!

Fancy us meeting like this~? ❝ Please stand down… Please! Confronted by perhaps her greatest shortcoming as her green gaze and mind pleaded with the person that stood before her, Chloe pulled her hands together in front of her like a half prayer as she begged this would-be rioter to see sense, both mentally and in the peaceful and non-threatening stance she took. Never a fan of violence, while there had been the odd time that she had been pushed to a point where she had to use it the british beauty had never enjoyed doing so and come to regret her actions, and as such she preferred to resolve things as peacefully as she could. These the reasons why she placed such a strong hope in calming the figure, many would have judged her actions as rather foolish given the circumstance and they probably were, especially given the response she received. “N-No!” Shaking her head from side to side as she tried to shrug off this feeling of panic that seized her but that possessive fear inside her certainly not helped when a figure in the vicinity was floored by the massing brutes, for a moment all that Miss Crawford could do was yelp in protest at what was occurring, and for some reason wish that her blonde best friend was here. Kanna always that much better at dealing with conflict in the exercises they had been through, there was something about having someone to watch her back and inspire her that seemed to draw more strength from inside her and help her to act with more decisiveness, but she wasn’t here right now and for some reason that felt like it made her suffer. She was stronger with her friends than without them, and perhaps it showed when next she was made the next target of these knaves. “Kya!” Some naïve piece of Chloe seeming to tell her that if she just spoke to this man then everything could be sorted out without violence, as he chose her for his next victim of violence all the usually bubbly brunette could do was squeak in surprise at the response, and flinch while she did so. Luckily for her the training she had been through at the Valiant Academy and the UA afterward conditioning her quirk enough as something of a reflexive means when she sensed danger to herself, as she yelped and raised her hands to protect herself the girl activated her power as an unconscious act of defence and summoned a shield of air to guard herself, or at least half of one. “Unf!” Toppling backward and onto her ass as the half-cocked attempt at shielding her body protected her from direct harm but threw her off balance as a result, as the baton of her attacker collided with buffer that was far from Miss Crawford’s best the emerald enchantress watched it crack and break before she was knocked onto her rump, and left dazed by the outcome for a second or two. Perhaps her state of being helped not all that much either by the jelly-like condition of her knees, even though she had battled classmates and tutors before the pacifistic youngster was taken by surprise by the sudden appearance of enemies in a situation that was supposed to be one of peace, and as such had been more intimidated by them than she would have been if she had walked into this expecting a fight. However, that didn’t mean all the fight had been snuffed out of her. I’ve got to protect him! Not for a moment really considering her own safety as she drew on a deep breath and began to summon her powers again not for her sake but rather that of the figure who pleased with her to escape, the bravery and nobility in his action was something that seemed to steel the heart of the young heroine for one reason or another, and she gritted her teeth as she saw that firebomb being lifted up to wreak more havoc Chloe found herself determined to make sure there wouldn’t be another victim as she wearily conjured a fuller shield to protect the innocent man; even if it was going to be at the cost of her own safety as the villains surrounded her… @tag | Word Count: ### | Outfit

Chikako was scared, they were not listening. 'T-this is not good, th-this is not good', she thought panicking as her little heart beat was starting to go crazy. She raised the shield she had in her hand and crouched down going to a turtle position, a little bit of tears were leaving her eyes. "T-this i-is bad", she said as she breathed a bit heavily. 'I do not have a summon for a little more while, I am dead. I am dead. I don't want to die. The fire is real. Real. Real. Real.', her brain was going crazy pounding on her brain.
She saw the other three rioters appear, the white in her face flushed out of her body. She was not ready for the overwhelming numbers. Without Tenbi, who was she? A shield? Corner turner? "P-please stop. D-don't b-burn stuff.", she tried to plead to the deaf ears. She stood up again trembling and put her shield in front of her face and took a step back trying to get a little distance. 'I need to run, I can't do anything without tenbi..', she thought hopelessly as she was looking around panickily for a place to run and hide for a while.

Heated Exchange II
" But the flames won't stop, Chikako." The man's Japanese wasn't perfect by any means, the English accent behind his words made it obvious that he wasn't a native speaker, but his words were smooth and melodic nonetheless. Leaning down beside her was an odd being, seeming to be nothing more than a suit of armor holding onto a masquerade mask. Whatever it was managed to keep completely silent as it had approached her, it seemed.
The mask's face shifted into a smile once it met her gaze. "If this was all real, there would be many more that needed your help right now, Ms. Chikako." The eyes of the mask closed to emphasize its smile more, but that didn't change the fact that its mouth never once moved as the figure spoke. "It's human to be scared, you know. But bravery doesn't mean you're not scared. No, it means your scared, terrified, even, but you do the right thing anyway!" The figure put a free finger to the masks' chin as it shifted to a more thoughtful expression. "I know that's a quote. Don't remember who said it, though... Hmph! I'm not supposed to be here right now, but people need that shield of yours Ms. Chikako. They need you to be brave, okay? Oh, keep your eyes peeled behind you~. Tata~." The being's mask shifted into a friendly smile once last time as it gave her a thumb's up, then quickly melted away into a pile of clay.
Just as his words warned, Chikako would be able to hear a pair of boots smacking against the stone behind her. "Hooh?" the new rioter pulled out a fierce looking dagger with a concerned look on his face. "Didn't think anyone'd be here for a few more minutes... whatever." He started to step forward, spinning the dagger about in his hand, ready to strike at the girl!
"Heh!" The rioter took a step towards Chloe, his lanky body looming over her, casting an ominous shadow in the blazing heat. The wry, ear-spanning grin that stretched across his face looked downright inhuman. He tapped the club in his hands, just waiting for a coming chance or excuse to smack the thing over her head once more. His vice grip on his club trembled as he leaned over, attempting to intimidate the prospective heroine, his heavy breaths smelling of wet clay. "Finally gave up, did we? Shame."
The thrum of a car engine came to a crescendo, it's explosive pitch echoing even through the roar of the inferno about them. Ahead, Chloe would be able to see as one of the rioters turned about face towards something unseen in the distance "Hoi, we've got a live one comin' in fast!" He spun the club in his hand as he readied himself for-!
"Gah! I missed!?" The form that slid around him was little more than a silhouette against the blazing backdrop that the rioter could never hope to hit, his club bouncing harmlessly against the street below!
"Huh?" Curious, the rioter looming over Chloe raised himself and turned to witness the commotion behind him. "Bah, more trash!?" He maneuvered his weapon into proper stance as the figure approached at inhuman speed! It leapt to the side, landing on the outer wall of a house that lined the street, the flames illuminating the burned and tattered Fenghuang uniform that Huang wore! With another mighty leap, he would launch himself towards the rioter, a powerful kick catching the villain right in the head with a enough force that it would launch him backwards, and flying into the rioter that had been approaching from behind!
Huang landed on the ground about a meter in front of Chloe, his eyes quickly rising to meet her own. "Hmm." He didn't say much as he stood from a crouching position. "Now's not the time for resting, U.A." His English was curt at best, but something about the way he spoke made it seem that it might just been the way he talked rather than a lack of proficiency with the language. Huang extended his hand to Chloe, offering to help her up should she take it.
"Huang." He would introduce himself without any formality, but considering the situtation they were all stuck in right now it was probably more appropriate.
"K-kids! Look out!" the injured citizen pointed back towards one of the alleys, indeed, it seemed that another one of the rioters had stayed behind to get the jump on the heroes! He had managed to close the distance ready to strike! If nothing stopped him, he would manage to land a hardy blow to Huang's side!

Fancy us meeting like this~? ❝ I wish Kanna were here…! The last though of Miss Crawford one of regret and perhaps a hint of loneliness as she screwed her eyes up at the sight of a the thug moving to finish her off, whether she was asking to be saved or simply wishing she had a friend at her side was something only she would know as she looked down the proverbial barrel of a gun, but whatever the reason was that her friend flashed through her mind, it seemed there was far less cause for alarm than she realized. Especially with such a gallant gentleman rushing through the battleground at the call of a roaring engine, apparently intent on saving her grounded behind no less. Could it be…? A strange blur seeming to burst into view with a vaguely human shape and then seeming to fell the fool who threatened her in but a moment, for a blushing moment the brunette was left wondering if her wish had been fulfilled and the blonde buddy she held so beloved had appeared to save her, but quickly recognised the fact that it wasn’t her friend that had saved her but rather someone else. It’s not her… W-Why would it be, stupid Chloe? This fact a little disappointing but that feeling of discontent suddenly giving rise to no shortage of relief a moment later when Chloe realized that the danger had been abated, at least momentarily, while this new face was a stranger to her the girl couldn’t help but look up in amazement as a strange figure reached out to help her up, and found her face flushing with further colour as a result of the chivalry she was shown. He’s… Right. No sense wallowing on my backside, is there? Hesitating for a second half out of some sudden sense of shyness but taking the hand that was offered to her a moment later, though it was probably embarrassing to be rescued by someone she didn’t recognise and possibly a member of the ‘enemy’ team given how he talked Miss Crawford accepted his aid, and pulled herself up thanks to the stability of the mitt which was offered to her. “C-Chloe, thanks for… The save!” Nodding at the name that she was given for her saviour and then offering her own rather eagerly, though the emerald eyed enchantress was still rather breathless from her exertion and kind of shaken as well she spat out her words of appreciation for the assistance she was offered without a second thought, and immediately forgot any notion of rivalry between herself and the Chinese team in that instant to focus on the greater goal between them. “Look out!” The irrelevance of such competitive spirit perhaps no more apparently than immediately after this, as the floored fellow she had been protecting called out to warn the duo of the approach of an interloping individual, all too quickly Chloe was calling out to pass the message on to her apparent new partner but that was not all. Not this time! Responding instinctively and demonstrating quickly that despite her reluctance to participate in combat she was certainly far from wholly ineffectual in the matter, with someone by her side appeared to be threatened by one of this menacing mob the girl with the green gaze was swift in her response and perhaps more merciless than she would have been on her own; she was always stronger for the sake of another after all. White Shot! Taking a deep breath at the sight of her foe and then pushing her palm toward him despite the distance that separated them, the girl ignored the fatigue level of her quirk to conjure a sudden attack that would hopefully cut off the assault of their assailant by conjuring an orb of solid air and sending it shooting toward the centre mass of this marauding figure. Please make it in time! The result a ball that looked as pretty as crystal and as swift and destructive as what might be sent from the muzzle of a cannon, what looked to be frosted glass shot through the air with the intent of mowing down their enemy, or at the very least capable of rather thoroughly knocking the wind from his sails if not defeating him outright. @tag | Word Count: ### | Outfit

Chikako was trying to get away and it seemed it did quite the opposite then what she intended to, she ran into someone else with quite the particular mask and unchanging mouth that started to talk to her. 'a quirker villian?!', she thought to herself trying to assess what he was doing here before anything else. 'What does he mean that the flames wont stop?', she thought still unknowing of his intentions and spooked by his sudden appearance. However, fortunately he seemed to be a more neutral party then she assessed him at first. 'A speech about bravery? What bravery was? I know I am a coward, a coward that only goes 'plus ultra' when it was not in dangerous for me', she said to herself in her thoughts as she listened to the mystifying figure. A feeling unknown to her was welding into her chest as he spoke, it was burning and vile. It was an abyss with flames so burning that it seemed to engulf her body in an belligerent embrace.
The sultriness of the flames around her was evanescence, the sweltering of her body seemed to quell her former discomfort of her surroundings. Now the new malaise was inside of skin, filling her pores. 'What is this feeling?', she thought to herself as she curled up her fingers towards her palm and forcefully pushed her nails into the palm of her hand, hard enough that it drew slight dribbles of blood. A inky crepuscular smog was uniting around her as she pushed her nails more forcefully into her palms as the heat she was experiencing got more intense as the guy spoke.
With the disappearance of the man, Chikako's skin was boiling as the boots of the man plodded his way to Chikako from behind. Chikako turned around a bit, to her surprise a stocky man loomed over her with a knife that he was happily twirling around. However, it seemed as if something clicked and Chikako was unmoving and unwavering as he came closer. The gloomy darkness that had been uniting as she seemed to get hotter was rapidly swirling and kniting itself infront of the manas she looked down and looked up raising her eyes to the man. "I FUCKING KNOW I AM A COWARD!!!!!!!!!!", she caterwauled very loudly as the creaking of bones was eerily sounding behind the man, before a devilish looking seven-foot monstrosity formed behind him. His absurdly long arms quickly snapping and cracking as it reached out to the stocky man and grasped him by by the throat and forcing him around raising his body in the air and looked the man in the face with his eyeless face, his eye socket oozing out the inky smog as it store before letting out an particular bloodthirsty howl that could be heard echoing against the artificial urban vacuum. The grasp of the giant monstrosity seemed to tighten as the monstrosity kept letting out harrowing howls. Tenbi other hand grasped the wrist of the man in the same hand as he held the blade and seemed to apply the same crushing force to disarm the man. However, eventually, when he went unconcious the giant dropped the actor on his back as it seemed to lose interest in the now immobilized threat. The clattering of the knife was just a whisper under the unending howls that tenbi seemed to be produce quite infinetly mysteriously. Chikako looked down as the knife seemed to land infront of her and she bent down as if to grasp it but her reflection was staring her straight in her face. A wolf's face, one filled with indignation causing her to jump back quickly onto her butt and gasp for air as the howling on Tenbi seemed to stop and the rage seemed to leave her face.
Snapping out of her trance, she looked at the man and then at Tenbi. She grasped the blade that was on the floor and seemingly pocketed it, unknowing why she did. "Your back", she said blinking a bit and put her bleeding palm on her face to check on herself, smearing some of the blood on her face before putting it on her side. "W-we have to go back then, to help", she said as she turned to the man, feeling icky sensation in her chest as she saw her face in the knife again before turning back and heading towards what she assumed to be a slaughter. She abandoned Chloe to be eaten alive, there was no lie in that. She had done wrong, but the first thing to do because of that would be atonement for that sin of breaking the trust of someone. She knew she sinned and forgiveness was not something she would be given but she could at least atone for her cowardice.
TLDR: She thinks the mysterious guy is a villian She gets really pissed off hearing the speech uh oh, bad timing grunt chikako is not in a good mood chikako attempts and hopefully does choke the guy out and takes his knife regaining her composure she goes back to help chloe for atonement.

" Those aren't pretty words to be goin' out on, lass." The rioter in front of her shrugged his shoulders, not paying much heed the black mist flowing from the girl. He sighed as he got closer. "Sha-" His eyes shot back quickly as bones crackled and snapped behind him, but it was, too late! The monstrous hands slipped easily around his neck, leaving him with nothing to do but struggle for his life as the demon incarnate started to choke him out! The dagger that he held quickly clattered to the ground as he reached for the digits that had entombed him! The process was, by luck or without it, quick. Within less than a minute, it seemed the supply of blood had been cut off from his brain for just a bit too long. His legs thrashed and his his nails scratched away at Tenbi's thick hide, but it was all for naught. When Chikako's darker half finally dropped the man, he didn't seem to wake up, though his chest heaved heavy breaths. The best that Chikako could be thankful for was that he was still alive, perhaps. Chikako would quickly realize the dagger he had been nothing more than a prop, the blade dulled and made to retract into the hilt when met with, say, the flesh of another person. Oddly enough, it seemed it had been rigged just bit beyond that, its small cross guard had two prongs strafing the blade and a switch on the handle. Perhaps a bit immersion-breaking, but it seemed this dagger had been nothing more than a fancy handheld taser!
" Huh?" By the time Huang would have been able to turn around, it would have been too late for him, but he wasn't the only on one this battlefield no matter how much he liked to think so! As the rioter reeled back for his hit, Chloe's shot would land true, the shimmering, swirling vortex slamming into his chest with more power than enough power to send him flying into a nearby wall! He, too slumped over and into seeming unconsciousness. " Oh." Despite his moves, he didn't seem all that surprised from the incoming attack, he looked back over to Chloe and muttered a simple " Thanks." Despite that, he seemed quite indifferent about the assist. He gave a quick glance to the last remaining rioter, who had since stopped in his tracks. Without much coercion, the rioter would drop his weapon and the unlit cocktail in his hand to the ground and darted off in the opposite direction from the group of young heroes! Huang was curious. When he had been dealing with them before they had seemed single-minded in their pursuit of violence, even when he had beaten them to the last man. What could have frightened him so? Now that he thought about it, that gaze hadn't been on him at all. Further down? A howl split even the hellscape that raged around them, the demon conquering its foe and the beast rejoicing over the corpse of its prey. Perhaps for the first time in this entire game, Huang actually felt frightened. Everything that he had faced until now had been entirely human... but that thing? He didn't know what it was. His motor revved once more, perhaps as if to fend off such a dangerous predator. " Your... friend?" The girl's image was small from this point, but the color of her hair struck him as familiar. He tried to keep hims mind focused on what mattered. Points. He had to get the villains to triage. Make sure they were safe. The man was still conscious. He could probably make it back, right? That blow to the head looked a bit nasty. Huang sighed, and would head to pick up the rioter that Chloe had dealt with only seconds before. " I only dealt with one. You take the rest if you want." He wasn't one to get hung up on emotions. He wanted to get done with this event with deadly efficiency. The tone in his voice made it clear he wasn't going to take no for an answer, even if it cost him some points. It was better than getting into a spat with the enemy team and losing a bunch of points on his own. Huang pointed towards the injured man. " Can you walk on your own?" The cold and disinterested demeanor that the boy displayed seemed to catch the actor a bit off-guard. His eyes darted around a bit before he could bring himself to answer. " Weeelll, my head's been injured a bit, but I think so?" Weren't they supposed to be trained in this kind of stuff? This boy... did he not understand that each actor had been there to judge their performance?... Just how many points had he lost for his team already? He stretched out a hand to the boy, hoping for a bit of assistance, but the robotic Huang would simply continue walking forward. " H-hey! Uhhhh, a little help?" He flashed an innocent smile towards Chloe and moved his open hand towards her. Huang gave a disinterested eye towards Chikako as she approached, though his gaze would immediately shift to the demon that followed her. With a free hand he would point to him and look to the girl who he assumed was its master. "Make him carry as many as he can." Being that the triage tents were in roughly the same area, Huang would begin to carry his single prize rioter over his shoulder along the same path the UA students had come from.

Fancy us meeting like this~? ❝ “O-Oh, um, yes… She is!” Glad to see that her attack had made a mark and then some on the miscreant who sought to cause her new ally some harm, though she was a little puzzled by the underwhelming response of the bike-like boy to her rescue Miss Crawford was at least glad when he pointed out the small and distant image of Chikako, who seemed to be excelling herself in her opinion. Hehehehe, I knew she just had to find her courage! Amazing! A smile spreading across the face of the british beauty as she looked toward the girl and the ghoulish figure she had summoned and felt encouraged by the image of her standing up for herself, for the most part the bubbly brunette was unaware of the fear that her fellow femme had felt and how it had caused her to flee temporarily, and as such could only see what she was doing now as something impressive and vital; assuming somewhat optimistically that her absconding absence had been to respond to something she wasn’t wholly aware of. “Oh goodness gracious, that looks painful!” All too quickly distracted from the image by the figure who had been floored along with her when the rioters attacked, as the foreign figure seemed to jet off without her Chloe took a step forward and offered out her hand to the man who had been injured, and winced a little at the injury he had suffered as she did so. “Let me just… Make sure it's not…?” Much better at treating and taking care of the ill and injured than she was at fighting enemies in her own opinion, as the stranger seemed to draw his attention to a head injury and ask for help the emerald eyed enchantress was eager in her treatment of him, and immediately peered at the hurt he had suffered and then his pupils after in order to check him over and make sure he wasn’t hiding something nasty. “I think… It doesn’t look too serious but it might be better went to the triage tent? Just to get a proper medic to make sure you’re alright, for my peace of mind as much as yours?” That green gaze of the girl’s narrowing as she assessed the man and her modest level of medical training not seeming to detect anything that was obviously untoward about him, once she was done Miss Crawford laid her palm upon the arm of the man to reassure him and gave a gentle smile as she confirmed her assessment to him, but unlike the boy from China was not in a rush to abandon this figure. “Do you need any help walking, sir?” Instead a mix of good manners and her experience telling her that someone who might have suffered a possible concussion or maybe even worse than that should not be left on their own, especially when there might still be ruffians lurking around to restart the battle, and as such the breezy beauty looked toward the triage area and decided to make her way there at the pace of the gentleman she was alongside; slow and steady, to ensure that no innocent was left behind. @tag | Word Count: ### | Outfit
