APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Standing at a rather average height, Arlynn's wolf-like features give off a naturally intimidating aura. The fact her pointed ears stand on end and that she has sharp fangs and claws makes it rather easy for people to get the wrong idea. Her appearance even turned her into an urban legend in Britain known as “White Fang.” But if they get past the initial appearance, they would see she has a kind face, framed by wavy raven black hair. Natural white spots are dotted around her hair. But Arlynn doesn't mind it much since her hair was always like that. Her hair is extremely fur-like, being thick and honestly a pain for her to mess with. By her own admission she goes through an insane amount of brushing to keep it in check as most products just ruin her hair. But due to hard work and much to her dismay, her hair always looks bright, shiny and pettable.

Personality:
Arlynn grew up in a rather solitary life out in country side. For the most part it was just her and her mother. Because of that Arlynns friends where whatever animals she found while playing in the woods that day. Since she grew up in the middle of nowhere, they didn't get many visitors. The most company she received were usually local farmers who provided food to the pair. But even then, she loves to be around people and wishes to make friends. But due to how she looks, most people get intimidated by her and especially in the country where she grew up, would just run. Even the farming couple who would help provide for them at first was scared of her appearance. And there are sometimes Arlynn would swear they look at her funny. But she would still help people if they got lost in the nearby forest where she played. Even if they would just run from her. She would make sure they ran away in the right direction. A tinge of sadness and hurt would grow in her every time some ran from her. Yet her heart would soar when the people didn’t run, despite how rare it was. In both cases she would lead the people out of the forest.
On top of this, Arlynn gets rather overwhelmed by large groups of people due to her rather isolated upbringing. However given enough time Arlynn loosens up and relaxes around people she is familiar with.

HISTORY
Arlynn's parents where a rather mixed bag. Her mother had a wolf transformation quirk, which is as far as Arlynn could remember was rarely ever used. But when you look to her Dad it makes more sense. Even though Arlynn never met her father, it was obvious that her mother was still infatuated with him. That being said, the reason he wasn't in her life was because her father was quirkless and hated those with quirks with a fiery passion. Her mother hid her quirk from him for as long as she knew him. It wasn't until Arlynn was born with a wolf mutation quirk that her mother finally told him the truth. After she told him however was the last either of them ever saw or heard of him.
But even without a father, her mother raised quite well. However growing up in the English Countryside miles away from almost anyone or anything didn't exactly help with the loneliness that she would feel. Other then her mother, the only other people she would regularly interact with would be farmers who would help keep her and her mom supplied. And they didn't exactly have kids her ages to be friends with. So Arlynn found friends in the forest. Thanks to her quirk she could keep up with other animals and play with them and chase them. Although to the wild animals it was probably less playing and more of them thinking they where being hunted.
But after a few years of playing in the forest she came across someone who was lost. A boy, probably around three to four years younger wandering around, sniffling and scared. Once Arlynn saw that she couldn't just leave him there. So she approached him to help. She knew the forest like the back of her hand. She could help him with out a sweat. But when the boy saw her, he screamed and took off in the opposite direction.
Arlynn would take slight offense to that. She just wanted to talk, but she couldn't let that boy get lost more then he was. So she took off after him. And after a few attempts of trying to spot the child and the child taking off in the opposite direction she had an idea. Since she knew the forest so well she could easily get in front of him. So she would cut the child off, directing him to the edge of the forest that he came from. Once she made his way out, it was like something clicked with Arlynn. She had such a rush once he made it out.
So she made it her "job" to patrol the forest for lost people. Some people would be willing to talk and having her escort them out. Some would just run and scream at the sight of her. And even though Arlynn preferred those who talked to her, she loved helping as many people as she could. But she never realized how many people got lost in the forest.
But what she didn't realize is that some of those lost folks where getting lost on purpose. In more modern areas a urban legend had formed. A spirit of wolf that would hunt those lost in the forest. However if you escaped the spirit your freedom was assured. Thrill seekers and ghost hunters were getting lost in the woods she lived near in hopes of running into her. But eventually the urban myth became popular enough online that it would draw people in from outside England. One of these travelers was from Japan and when Arlynn approached him, he told her all about U.A.
He didn't believe for a second that there was a ghost in the woods so he traveled down to see for himself. Seeing that the wolf spirit was just a girl with a wolf quirk and after talking to him a bit decided she could be a good fit for a new hero school being created in Japan. When Arlynn ran home to tell her Mother about this wondrous thing she learned about, her mother seemed worried and resistant to the idea. Not only was her mom scared to let her little girl leave and go to another country, she was scared for her safety. Her quirk made her look rather abrasive and could scare a lot of people, including aggressive anti-quirkers.
With the initial decision of that she would not be allowed to go, Arlynn was disheartened. She stopped going out to the woods, would just lay around her home depressed. But one day her mother called her into the kitchen, a wrapped box sitting on the table. Opening it up Arlynn would find a smartphone, which was technology she never really owned before, a plane ticket to Japan and an acceptance letter to U.A. After seeing how rough Arlynn took the rejection her mother talked it over with the farmers who took care of them and the 3 of them pitched in. They sent an application with a letter and U.A. responded that they would love to take Arlynn and as long as she stayed in the dorms they would take care of her basic needs. The only rule was that she needed to call her mom every so often.
And so Arlynn was of to Japan to join the ranks of U.A. To start down the path of a pro-hero and to explore a place much different then what she was used to.
