It was getting real close to the events of the festival beginning proper. Tsuji had been training for most of the day, and so he'd decided to just relax in the nearby park. It reminded him of home, just laying and looking upward. It was still rather cold, but it was a clear day. He had perched just underneath a tree, as he'd scratched up against it but a few minutes ago. Not that that was the only reason – closer by was a large section of bushes, all now bearing fruit. In particular, there was an abundance of strawberries. It had given him a bit of a craving, so he went to a nearby stall and bought a little box of them, and was simply just lazing about by the tree with them. They were quite juicy, and fairly priced, so it was a good gamble to make.
But in his head, Tsuji still had thoughts about the festival, and what could happen here in England. He was set for the tournament, going to go head to head to head, which would be interesting; but had been informed that he would be joining a race between two trains, one of which was to be manned by the students from Chevalier D'Eors, which was the Canadian school, alongside some of his closest peers. The bear had a small friendly competition with one of the their students last year, Carter Brown, in a tree cutting contest. The memories of last year poured into his mind, but this meant the loss he suffered in the tournament – he'd hopefully be able to go further this year, he was sure of it. Not to mention the large amount of training he'd undertaken would put a bit of a damper of things if he lost carelessly. In his thoughts of the past, he particularly remembered the bout he had with Adler, the Germanic school, against the magnet sisters. The ingenuity of their team matching his burning willpower, the blow-for-blow fighting spirit of both schools clashing together...
That's what Tsuji loved about the festival – it meant getting good memories of good times, fierce yet friendly competition, a sort of unity between all the countries the schools belonged to – everyone was here to prove themselves, and show what it meant to be a hero, and that just warmed his heart in the cool winter breeze. Continuing to ponder, he popped a little strawberry in his mouth, and smiled.
