As he levelled Jace into the ground, the denial and refusal that lay in his cries did not drill into Tsuji's ears like they would have before. There was something mechanically different about the way he was acting, it was uncharacteristic of the jolly and friendly bear. Even as the claws of the cat slashed at his arms for him to release him, while it hurt, the bear simply ignored it, instead letting go when it suited him: before impact on the ground. Tsuji had flung himself across the arena, making a pretty large trail in the dirt – a way of softening the flames on his back and cushioning his fall, however it was still a burn nonetheless. As he tried to get up, that damned wire dragged him down once more, and looking ahead, Momoko was standing. As she prepared to run towards Tsuji, he decided to go down and rip the wire away, pulling it apart. “[smear:#000000]NO MORE TRIPS, NO MORE MOMOKO![/smear:#660fe9:0]” he roared, getting on all fours, and began to rush down at the tiny girl. She was just running normally, while he had his strength backing him up, as well as the speed of his limbs. Granted, the left leg was still hurt from the burn, but the damage was fading fast, especially when a larger area of his body required more attention from his inner workings. As he got closer and closer to Momoko, she could have been able to notice the more friendly eyes he had before had changed, a sharp black with a small purple tint to them now. His stampede reaching a fever pitch, Tsuji used his front paws to pounce, leaping towards the miniscule opponent. As he got closer, he shifted his body to his left side, firing up his right arm for a punch. She had been hiding for the large portion of the fight, and it might have been better if she had stayed there. “ CRITICAL...” he said, clenching his right fist. The usual yellow aura he had imagined was no longer present in his mind, now a menacing purple. “ BEAST...” he continued, backing his arm, and launching his fist towards the small girl. In any other scenario, it would be totally against his coda, but the fact of the matter was that Tsuji for the most part... wasn't present. “BLOW!” came the final yell, the bear attempting to land his hit towards Momoko. No matter if Jace had something planned, or if an intervention had to occur, he would be steadfast in this attack. If it worked, he'd move to fight the source of this burning animosity head on, as he stared towards Tsuji with the eyes of a predator. What he would be unaware of is that the troublesome cat might just end up as prey.

Momoko's mistake was not realizing the true nature of the situation at hand. Knowing Tsuji, she had expected something more collected, or perhaps even hesitation due to Momoko's own body. But instead, Tsuji was showing a level of aggression that Momoko couldn't comprehend. It really did feel like she was being rushed by a wild animal. It all took her by surprise. Momoko reacted the best she could. Her body jumped to the side as she activated her bracelets for a burst of speed, but she was too late to fully avoid the strike. Tsuji's fist would connect with Momoko's entire body. The impact would be weakened by the small girl's attempt to dodge, but her light body would still get launched across the air. The world spun in her eyes again, this time out of her control. Eventually her body did hit the ground, multiple meters away from Tsuji, spinning on the grass before finally coming to a halt. Her mask landed away from her, having flown off during the flight, but as she had ultimately landed face down to the ground you still couldn't see her face. She remained still for a small moment, until... The small body trembled. Momoko's hands grasped the grass as she very carefully lifted her face in view. Her face was painted over with total astonishment. She hadn't been hurt too badly. Her dodging attempt combined with her suit's strength had lessened the impact by a large margin. But it was still the single-most biggest strike that she had received during her short life. Despite of the reduction, it still hurt a great deal, and the action itself had depleted all of the bracelets to their bare minimum. She likely didn't have a way to win once she ran out, even if she wasn't all that hurt yet. The next attempt had to be the one. Tsuji's attention had been diverted from her. That was good. The two hero students were having a staredown, seemingly preparing for yet another clash. Momoko would start to crawl forward carefully, stopping whenever she feared that Tsuji's attention would snap back to her location. The astonishment in her eyes had switched to pained determination. It would be all or nothing now.

Jace watched from atop his pillar as he saw Momoko rush forward, whether it was a fake out or not didn't really matter much in the end as Tsuji was all too happy to take his raging bear self to Momoko. Even Jace was broken out of the spell in he'd been in temporarily, raising his eyes in surprise as the raging bear screamed NO MORE MOMOKO. It was ominous to the point of bordering disturbing. But while Tsuji would turn away to face Jace, both sharing the different stares of a calculated predator versus a rampaging beast, he wouldn't notice or at least didn't care that Momoko was still up. Which was a huge relief for the ginger boy, while he'd gotten sucked into the moment when he'd noticed that Tsuji had gone feral, in all honestly there was no real way that he could finish this on his own. Though Momoko definitely was looking worse for wear, even having lost her mask. But she also hadn't actually been hit at all during this match, so he supposed it wasn't that much of a surprise she could keep going, even if she'd almost gotten piledriven into the ground by a bear on a rampage.
And speaking of that bear, he was now approaching Jace and his pillar. Jace watched him, surprisingly calm for the almost always panicking boy. He was running mostly on instincts and adrenaline at this point, ever since he saw just how enraged Tsuji had become. But while his neuroticism was muted at least slightly, it wasn't completely gone. While the look he gave Tsuji was completely genuine, there was still noticeable caution in every move, every breath he took. He was very on edge with Tsuji now focused on him. And that was why the boy didn't make a move, instead climbing to the top of the pillar, giving him optimal height and the ability to change location quickly in any direction if need be. And that was it, he didn't go on the offensive, he simply crouched on the flat top of the pillar, once again licking his hands with his tongue before rubbing his saliva over his body, arms, and even face. He was acting like a stereotypical cat, and while his acts may come across as gross and uncaring, in truth he was simply once again preparing. The tingling feeling that the fire had left on his skin when it'd burned out once again was numbed by the coolness of his saliva, allowing him to once again be able to ignite. Though just because he had the ability didn't mean he could it up much longer, the red head was exhausted and he really wasn't sure how much longer he could it up. The next blow needed to be the finishing one, or Jace was as likely to lose from exhaustion as he was from being knocked out.
But just as Jace was on his last legs, he knew Tsuji wasn't out of the woods yet either. He'd burned the ursine boys back pretty bad, and he was pretty certain it wasn't done hurting yet. And combined with the boys leg, Tsuji could almost be seen as vulnerable. Almost. But while Jace sat atop the pillar, watching Tsuji, he'd also see Momoko approaching now as well, having steadied herself. And as she did, if she looked she'd see Jace watching her, his head tilted in curiosity. His face somehow screaming the question he was thinking, despite it being pretty calm. Aren't you going to attack? But this question wasn't aggressive, or threatening, or even demanding. Instead he looked at her with genuine curiosity mixed with gentle surprise, as if the girl had simply answered a question differently than he'd expected. But while he didn't beg for it, the truth was still plain too see. He couldn't approach without her.

With the crowd in uproar and the battle seemingly drawing to a close, it was time to end things. Jace had been a thorn in the side of Tsuji for the entire encounter, it was a shock that he'd even managed to go this long, but cats are crafty, after all. The stare-down between the two was palpable, and since Momoko had been taken care of in the eyes of the bear, it was only the two of them to go. With the cat boy perched on top of one of the stone pillars, he did have the height advantage here, but that was to disappear soon enough if all went to plan. Tsuji also needed to be wary, as the burn on his leg had for the most part subsided, but it wasn't unhealed, and his back was still hot. However, as before, he simply grit his teeth, letting the pain fuel his animosity towards his opponent. All the scratches, blows, burns, and slips had led to this: the finale was here. Getting on his hind legs, he charged into the pillar, trying to send it crashing down towards the floor, in hope that the result would cause Jace to fall. He roared as the pillar careened away, falling like a tree in the forest where Tsuji would relax, but relaxed he was not, now ready to execute the second section of his final attempt. As the pillar fell, when it was at its most optimal diagonal position, the bear raced up as it fell, adjusting his speed to fit the fall. As he reached the apex, he leapt off in a jump, and aiming towards Jace with downward momentum, he outstretched his right leg, unburdened by the burning fire of the feline foe in a straight kick downward. “MAXIMUM SPARK KICK!” he bellowed, the rage of the bear fuelling the kick, steeling his resolve into this attack. If he could, the kick would connect towards Jace's face, as it was the place most worked on, and therefore the most vulnerable. He would have to take one last burn from the boy on his foot, but it was worth the risk if he could end this battle now.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tsuji got up. The battle was done. As he looked around him, his vision clearing from fuzzy to full in a few moments. “[smear:#660fe0]...huh?[/smear:#000000:0] What... what happened?” he said, dumbfounded from his change in position. The last thing he remembered was speaking to Jace as he had made that candid statement about fairness in the fight, Momoko getting at him, and then... it was totally blank. The crowd was still roaring, but the bear had no context why. Must have been a good match. Looking around, the cameras were circling the arena in rapid fashion, taking pictures of the carnage that occurred. In addition to all this, and with a gentle sniff, he felt something... burning!? “Ow! Ow ow ow, that smarts!” he said, patting his back as much as he could to soften it up. At some point he got his back burned? This was too much, he didn't even know what happened to himself, let alone everyone else. Speaking of which... who won, anyway?

Berna had seen her, that much was sure. But it seemed like the hero student had the same idea, to wait for the third party to attack before swooping in yourself. This resulted in a confusing look right back at Berna. Momoko wasn't going to attack first. She hadn't attacked first this entire match, and she wasn't going to change that plan now, especially now that Tsuji was in his who-knows state. And before apparently either of them got to sort that mutual stalemate out, Tsuji went on the offensive himself. "You coward!"
She'd start unreeling wire, the one that had been shortened, from the launcher. Her hands started to tremble with anger, so did the wire between them. She'd choke that bear until they'd pass out, see how he felt about rampaging then. Momoko took a running start to try and take a running start, readied to activate the boosts for more momentum, didn't, decelerated and stopped. Her gaze remained all the time focused on what would mostly likely be Berna's and Tsuji's final clash which she would, as a result of her inaction, watch from the sidelines. The expression on her face could only be described as surprised. Despite of all of the battering that Tsuji had gotten from both of his combatants, he showed no signs of stopping. Even if she did went in for the kill, she was afraid that it just wouldn't be enough, judging by the earlier punch. And Berna, despite being a coward, had dealt with a seemingly unrelenting assault from Tsuji very admirably. Could she even bring him down if Tsuji did fall, if all hero students were like this? And even beyond that... had she really considered choking Tsuji just now? That was... a bit extreme, even if it did seem like the best option at this point in the fight. How would it reflect on her if she went for it in front of all these people? Ultimately, with a suppressed sigh, would let the electronic mechanism reel the wire back into the device. Momoko would call it quits here before she embarrassed herself any further. This had been a pitiful showing, and she did her best to to subtly hide her face as she stood there. She couldn't see the expression, but it felt like something ugly. "Maybe I should have just pretended to have been knocked out..."

Jace found himself exchanging a moment with Momoko, but it wasn't one that he'd been expecting. Instead of getting a sign she understood his intentions, she instead met his look with a look of confusion as well. And neither of them approached the increasingly aggressive bear. Jace wasn't sure if her look at him meant she didn't understand his intentions, or she simply didn't want too approach Tsuji, which was understandable. Still that meant that instead of either of them attacking first, Tsuji got the first strike.
And it was one heck of a strike, Jace had assumed Tsuji would try to reach him in some way, whether using that unusual mobility he had or some other way of trying to reach the top of the pillar he was on. But instead Tsuji opted for a third way, bringing Jace too him. The wunderbear strike the pillar he was on, and Jace's eyes raised as it started to tilt forward, his claws reflexively digging in even deeper into the stone so he didn't fall off. Tsuji had just broken the stone pillar in two, and too Jace's additional surprise, he was now jumping on top of it. But while Jace hadn't planned for this exactly, he hadn't chosen his position on a whim. He'd placed himself as far away from Tsuji as he could get, at the very top of the five meter pillar. He'd fully expected Tsuji to try to come to him in some way, and while this wasn't what he'd planned, his reaction stayed the same. Retreating.
Jace would leap from the falling pillar to one across from as had the entire match, right as Tsuji hopped unto the collapsing pillar, getting out of range of the almost assuredly knock out blow that heel kick would have been. It was even easier than before really, since the falling pillar was falling towards the one he'd jumped unto. And as he felt secure that he was in a place Tsuji couldn't reach, he'd look to see how Momoko was approaching. This was their one shot. And as Jace looked towards the girl, he'd see her, but instead of rushing in the dwarf girl stood still, watching but doing nothing. Jace was on his own. But even that wouldn't matter in the end. As he stared at the girl, this time genuine shock at her defeated look as she observed the fight as if she were just another spectator, he hadn't noticed that the pillar he'd jump off of still had a role in all this, as it fell directly into the pillar he was on.
Jace hadn't dug his claws into the stone when he'd reached the top of the pillar during his retreat. He hadn't thought he would have too, he had been expecting to attack Tsuji, or at least was aware he wasn't in immediate danger from the rampaging bear where he was. And he was so surprised by Momokos inaction he hadn't been paying to his surroundings, like the pillar he'd leapt off of that had been falling towards the place he'd retreated too. Thus, as the pillars collided, and the pillar he was on shook and then gave into the other pillars weight and broke as well before itself fell towards the next pillar in line like a domino, Jace found himself quickly losing balance, before tumbling off the edge. If he'd fallen off stomach or face first, he might have been able to tuck himself into a roll. If he'd been falling at an angle, he might have been able to twist into a correct landing position. But Jace hadn't been so lucky, instead he fell back first with no recovery options from a four to five meter drop. Which he meant he crashed to the ground. Hard. And his landing was met with blackness.
Jace wasn't sure how long he'd lied there. He woke up to a shouting crowd and in an immense amount of pain, only able to make out the glaring sun as his eyes felt so hard to open. He was untransformed, his stamina to keep up the transformation gone with everything else from that crash. He'd slowly turn himself over, struggling with all his remaining might to even push himself up. Which is when he'd notice what he'd landed next too. A large, furry brown foot. And panic struck, his cool demeanor from before completely shattered as terror overwhelmed him, being just as scared as if he'd landed next too an actual bear. He'd look up at the bear, tears in his eyes. PLEASE! NO! I'M SORRY! I GIVE, JUST PLEASE DON'T HURT ME! As he gave his crying, terror filled apology he wouldn't notice that Tsuji had a different look about him. He also wouldn't notice the completely destroyed wonder of the world replica they'd been fighting in, each pillar having collapsed into another like dominoes, or how the crowd was going wild, or even the approaching officials. Jace had entered this fight an underdog, and while sometimes surprises, usually things go as one expects, like now. And that's OK.
