GO BEYOND!
PLUS ULTRA!
This is the thread for any and all info relating to the finale threads of the 2074 Sports Festival!
From February 29th to March 2nd, the finale threads themselves will go up.
These finales will award 3 EP, and be subject to 2x EXP and group thread bonuses!
Each finale thread will consist of 1 Storyteller and 6 Players, with those players in a 3v3 competition. This competition won’t necessarily be a battle, with win conditions varying from thread to thread; the specifics of each will be described in the info down below!
Storytellers will be overseeing these 3v3s and adding effects on the environment to spice things up, while also contributing NPCs to fill any unevenness in the ranks of each side. They’ll be assuming much the same role as always, but just like Shinagawa, players are the ones driving the action!
Now, a reminder of some general rules to always follow for finales:
* 1: Put summaries at the end of your posts, and always ping your Storyteller once you’ve posted.
* 2: You must post within 48 hours of the last person. If you fail to post during your turn in the order, you have until the ST’s post to get your own in. Posting order is established by whatever order you post in for the first round, but can change if need be and if you inform your ST.
* 3: Communicate with your thread partners and be fair! As there’s some PvP involved, keeping things cordial is an absolute must.
If you have any questions relating to the event finales, feel free to ask; but always read this first to make sure you’re not just missing something!
As for the finales themselves, the different threads are listed below, and can be signed up for by replying to this thread. Given we will be trying to balance the teams, please list your preferences as in the template. More finale threads will be made as needed.
Team Battle: Heroic Heights!
Description: An old-school teamfight with a twist! The arena for this battle will be a series of elevated platforms and hazards with dynamic movement. With a number of dangers being thrown in, even taking to the air won’t keep you safe! Victory will be achieved when one team is completely KO’d, or knocked below a certain threshold long enough.

Rescue Operation: Exciting Escort!
Description: A classic with a new, team-based variation. Teams will be placed in a deadly environment, the aftermath of a great disaster. From there, the goal is simple: Rescue the designated civilian and bring them back to their own point! However, the complication is that they’ll be competing against another team to take that civilian! Each will treat each other as the villain, and any damage to the civilian will be penalized! The first team to get the civilian back to their own base - without damaging them - wins!

Quirkball Showdown
Description: An event that turned that their upperclassmen often speak fond of. Quirkball is a game that combines the concepts of Dodgeball and Volleyball with some clever high intensity Quirk Usage! Overseen by the Principal himself, the rules of the game are fairly simple: Each team has a twenty-five diameters large field that they need to protect from the opposing team. Crossing into the opposing team is forbidden, and the goal is to smash a specially made for this event volleyball into the ground of the opposing team.
However, unlike the regular rules an additional way to win has been introduced. Should a ball hit someone and then fall into their field, that person will be considered to have been 'captured', and will take a position at the other side of the opposing side's field, allowing some interesting pincer formation tactics!
Do keep in mind that if your entire team is captured your team will lose the match no matter the point difference. Quirks are permitted to be used, but only on the ball.
