The sports festival! Iwasaka Shouko had hardly slept from sheer hype... But still had plenty of energy to spare! Too much energy, in fact, if you asked literally anyone. Hardly a day had passed since the foreign students arrived, and she had already challenged one of them to a spar! Fortunately, Izabel had also been hankering to stretch her muscles, and it went smoothly. But it was good that she had done that so soon- As the foreigners had just arrived and were growing accustomed to the jet lag, they hadn't scheduled any matches for that day. But she couldn't do it again! Her stone only grew out enough to carve her battle dress after a full night's rest, and how could she go on stage with it damaged... or, god forbid, broken!?
However, that hardly stopped her from harassing the strangers who now could be found around campus! And while it took some work, she had gleaned a fair amount from talking to them, and from her classmates who had talked to them! Like that the girl she had fought the day before was the Brazilian School's second combat expert, the first being a boy named Davi! She rather hoped to see them in action... But right now, she was more curious in another!
The Australian school had sent five students, among them, Travis Blythe! Their combat hotshot! Shouko couldn't resist after hearing that much! While none of UAs first years had the fame of their upperclassmen yet- There was no designated #1, or any ranking of any sort... Shouko needed no ranking to declare herself to be the school's undisputed #1... Battle analyst! When it came to watching other people fight, Shouko never seemed to grow weary! And as the #1 Battle Analyst... Naturally, she would want to meet the #1 Battler!
Alas, up till now, she had seen neither hide nor hair of him. She would probably recognize him if she did- There were only 5 Australian challengers! So even if she hadn't seen him before or even a picture of him... It wasn't hard to figure it out by process of elimination! Which was why, when she saw the blonde boy looking out over UA's sports field... Her eyes lit up like a light! Score!
For his part, the lad from down under would find himself approached by an oddly dressed girl- Clothed in a tunic which acted as both shirt and skirt, tied at the waist with a sash. Her hair, held back by the only indication of her quirk- A pair of hair ties carved from solid stone. Her face would carry a broad smile as she chattered in Japanese... Here's hoping the Australian students thought to bring translators! "Heya! Welcome to UA! Nyahahaha! Travis, right? It's nice to meetcha!"
If this wasn't Travis, she would certainly be in for an awkward time. But then, this was Shouko, so an awkward time was rather implied, was it not?

Japan was pretty cool. Or at least, so Travis Blythe thought. It was a world away from his home country, both figuratively and literally, but it was all the more exciting for it. From the food to the sights, though those obviously weren't the main things that the ANZHOP College students were therefore. No, there were there to see the pioneers of the Hero Schooling Program, which was obviously the highlight for a star like Travis. These kids stood on top, or so they were told, compared to their relatively new establishment on the opposite Hemisphere. The gap he felt between them was humbling and exciting. He wanted nothing more than to prove he could close it... Though, that would have to wait, of course.
For the time being, Travis was having plenty of fun just enjoying the school grounds. He was on good terms with all the other students from his school who'd come on the trip, so it was always pleasant checking the place out with them. From how cute Samantha was when she fretted over them, to Timoti's pure-hearted wonder. Servo's search for machinery and even Linda's ceaseless storm of snide comments. It was all making for a trip to remember, but sometimes, Travis didn't mind the idea of looking around by himself...
After all, he really wanted to check out what these guys had for a sports field.
Travis was a Hero Student first, but a sportsman second. That naturally helped with his combat skills, given the core of his style. However, he did also enjoy sports on their own every now and then, which left him standing and looking over the U.A. sports field. It was a solid setup, wouldn't be a bad place to play soccer or rugby. Unfortunately, no cricket pitch, but he hadn't exactly exactly expected that. It was somewhat rare among the sports of the world...
Although it was a well maintained, it was a bit of a sorry sight to not have somewhere where he could practice his best moves on the most suited ground.
Ah well... At least some sights made up for it. Like the cute Japanese girl that suddenly approached him, in an odd tunic that Travis presumed was some kind of traditional garb. She greeted him cheerily, calling by name. The blond boy raised a brow and gave a grin, as he went for a fast bowl right off the bat.
"Yeah, that's me. Now what have I done to have a pretty girl like you lookin for me?"
Always paid off to move quickly and without hesitation, or so Hopper had taught him. He spoke in some heavily accented Japanese, but it was good enough for basic conversations. He'd been practicing, after all.

Score! Score, score, score! That's him! "Nyahaha, I knew it!" The girl triumphantly crooned, completely failing to notice the compliment. "En, I've heard tell that you're the number one in your school when it comes to battle!" Without regard for how it sounded- Shouko never was one for subtlety, the brunette made her point clear! She was looking for him, because he was strong! Because he was skilled! And because... "As UA's Number One Battle Analyst, how could I miss this chance!" Honest as ever, but whatever could she mean when she said battle analyst? And how where they ranked, anyways. Was Shouko number one by default, as there were no others?
That was likely the case, as both the title and ranking were the girl's own product. One Travis was unlikely to be aware of, unless he had a hobby of browsing Japanese uTube- And even then, her channel was far too small to be notable. It's only claim to fame was that a few hobbyists swore by it when it came to footage and analysis of last year's festival... With that in mind, maybe there was someone who had seen the twintailed girl's cheerful face before, at one of those two visiting schools. But that would not necessarily be Travis. It might not even be one of the Australian team.
"Whatcha doin' here?" The girl would ask innocently, curious what brought the combat expert to the sports field. The sports club was quite popular, although she herself preferred the martial arts club! But the empty fields were hardly the place she'd expect a foreign student to go sightseeing. Keep in mind that this is from Shouko's point of view, whose first order of business upon visiting ANZHOP would have been to find any training or sparring areas they had available! "Eb, this place is the sports club's field! So they won't be using it for any of the events, okay?" She came to her own conclusions. Clearly he was planning on scoping out the field of battle, but being a foreigner, became lost! "Here, the actual fields are this way!"
In the end, she never did explain what she wanted from him. Or perhaps, she hadn't thought that far ahead? It was Shouko, after all, so the latter was unfortunately likely.

'Huh? Did she not hear me?'
Travis was pretty sure his Japanese was solid enough, so why had that compliment completely failed to land? Maybe he'd gotten the pronunciation wrong. Before he could linger on it too much, the boy's interest was piqued by a comment regarding his battle prowess. He grinned confidently, feeling a bit of inner validation at the claim, though he played it off with a tone that seemed to imply it was something he already knew. "Yeah, you could say that. I'm probably the best fighter there." Well, that was what people kept telling him, anyway. He didn't actually know how he stacked up against all his peers, and was fairly sure there were some circumstances in which he'd lose. That being said... He did have the most wins in their competitions, and even their Class President considered him the best fighter...
Regardless of why he had that title, he didn't have much choice but to own it.
Questions would soon be swimming around in Travis' mind. Firstly, why was this student looking for ANZHOP College's top fighter? Was she looking for a spar or just scoping out the competition? Secondly... What the hell was a Battle Analyst? The term lingered in his mind for a few moments, before he finally decided to bite the bullet and just ask her. Kind of. "Battle Analyst? What, like a commentator?" He asked, the idea of a boxing or MMA fight commentator coming to mind. Which was kind of close, but at the same time, somehow completely off the mark.
When Shouko asked what he was doing there, Travis paused a moment, about to answer before she ended up coming to her own conclusions. He was taken aback for a moment, almost opening his mouth to correct her. Then again... Being led around the U.A. grounds by a cute girl didn't sound so bad.
"Alright, then lead the way, uh..." Wait, hang on. There were still some questions he needed to ask, before continuing this flirting! "Uh, what was your name again? And why'd you come looking for me?"
