APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Tamanashi is an attractive young woman in her early twenties. She possesses a ferocious air about her that is plain enough to sense when one encounters her. Standing just above average in height and with an athletic figure honed through exercise and training. She dresses well enough most of the time, preferring blouses and dress shirts along with slacks. She hates the feeling of a dress and often says it "feels like I'm wearing a noose around my ankles." A heavy smoker and drinker, she perpetually smells of cigarettes and alchohol and often has stains from one or the other on her pants and hands. She showers regularly enough but not even that can get the smell out.
Tama has a surprisingly pretty face despite her reputation as a bit of a thug, with deep red eyes and crimson hair that she often wears ain a ponytail, she keeps her hair loose and comfortable doing everything in her power to avoid any distractions.

DISLIKES
Personality:
Fierce and stubborn to a fault, Tama broaches no bullshit in her life. She puts up with little and dishes out everything she has. The woman who began calling herself 'Truth' has devoted her life to giving one hundred percent of herself no matter what. Fearless in the face of danger, some people believe that she may in fact be a bit on the self-destructive side. Even when in dire straits she attempts to plaster a savage grin on her face. This savage personality has inspired a bit of a temper in the woman. Irritating her is an easy way to get yourself punched, and she's been known to smash glasses over the heads of guys who get a little too handsy at her favorite bars. Reckless in both the best and worst ways; Tama will do anything and everything to do what she believes is right.
Tama is a simple person burdened with a bit of an addictive personality. She likes what she likes and hates what she hates. Whiskey and Cigarettes are her vice; picking fights is her past time, and fast food keeps both her and her quirk moving. To her, a burger is far preferable to any fancy dish. Practical and convenient. She deeply hates her own name by contrast, finding it pretentious and way too much of a mouthful, even for her, and will grow aggravated with people who use it. Tama sees the 'holier-than-thou' attitude of heroes and hero society to be a bit grating but doesn't fully fault those who decide to go legit. In her eyes, it's like a singer or artist picking up a label. It happens to the lucky ones. But she prefers the freedom of living as a vigilante. The one thing she hates more than anything else is the Fraternity of Japanese Villains and actively seeks to cripple them when possible.
Fiercely loyal to her friends and allies, she will intentionally put herself in harms way to protect those she thinks needs protecting. But she also trusts her peers enough to know what they're getting into. She won't go out of her way to help other vigilantes if the end up doing something stupid, but she'll always be there to help them pick up the pieces and laugh at them a little.
She also swears, a lot.

HISTORY
A natural born Japanese Citizen, Mononobe Tamanashi was born to simple parents out in the country south of Tokyo. Though her family name carries a lot of history, what little remained of the Mononobe clan was lost to history; all that remained were scattered families and simple folk. Her mother was a housemaker and her father was a farmer who tended his field with a diligent focus. As a child Tamanashi spent most of her time reading, learning from her parents in their hope to send her to college as an adult. She had an easy, happy life. Until she went to the city.
Up until this point in her life she'd never experimented with her quirk. Her abilities were a mystery to her and she'd only managed to use it once or twice on occasion. Upon entering high-school in the greater part of Tokyo she encountered the harsh reality of the sheer volume of people that now possessed quirks in society. It was still a wild, dangerous time to be a quirker and for Tama, she realized that being public about her own quirk would be more trouble than good. She kept to herself while becoming more and more fascinated with trying to master her abilities. Interest waned in the face of high-school life, though, and for a time things were good.
Then as she was entering her second year of high school, she was outed as a quirker by a few of the other girls in her class, turning much of the very conservative school against her. Ostracised she was eventually expelled from school for trumped-up reasons and left on the street when her residential permit expired without proof of schooling. Left to her own devices she became obsessed with seeking justice in whatever way she could. She threw herself into her new life, angry and bitter, and began to slip into a life of crime. It was only when a certain vigilante shook her out of her senseless course did she right herself and she turned her focus on who deserved to be punished.
Her retribution took time, though, and she spent weeks basically stalking her old classmates until she learned their routines; stole into their homes, and found whatever dirt she could find. Instead of blackmailing them, she simply exposed her old classmates and their families and all of the darkness that they hid from the world. Was it cruel? Sure. What it justified? Yes. Did a few of them go to prison? Absolutely. As for Tama? She knew she'd committed a crime and swore to the others on the street that she'd do her time in her own way. Just a punk kid, she managed to scrape together enough money to take a boat overseas.
She spent nearly four years out in the greater world, pulling herself together and finally figuring out exactly how her quirk worked. Her temper became worse, she picked up drinking and smoking, but at the same time her passion for bringing the vile and the twisted to justice became bright as the sun. She dedicated her life to exposing the falsehoods that the wicked portrayed. Yet it wasn't until she returned home to Japan that her real journey began. Her first visit was to her parents who she found dead, slaughtered, at the hands of a villain who had waited for her return. After beating the man to an inch of his life, she learned that he was a member of a powerful organization called the Fraternity and that they were the secret force that supported Japan's villains.
A secret force. One that she would expose. One that she would crush until it was nothing more than paste.
But first...she needed to get back to Tokyo.
