Stupid blizzard was stupid! If the stupid blizzard was on full force then what would he do to offset the stupid? First, he had to stop thinking about the word stupid as it was starting to get old and confuse his mind as well. Next, since there was no way he could train optimally out there and doing it indoors, no matter where, just didn't feel right for him, the next best thing he could do was to grab his best camera and set out on his own adventure! Honestly, he wanted to take pictures of as many students as he could, to one day make it into a collage and keep it with him forever, show it to his siblings and whoever he may meet and befriend one day! Sure, they'd have to consent, though the slightly nastier voice in the back of his head that never left assured him that the U.A. kids were generally egotistical enough to want to have pics taken of them.
"Yeah, they probably do. Even I wouldn't mind a picture.. just kiddin', no I wouldn't."
He muttered to himself, weirdly telling jokes to himself like some sort of silly fool, likely to entertain himself and keep his brain active and constantly changing subjects to stay alert and quick. A perfect photographer, so he had read on the internet, was always alert and ready to be quick on the draw, snapping the perfect pictures at a moment's notice! --That was the excuse that Kouta used, though he was honestly just a scatterbrained dummy. Can't stay indoors mulling on it forever, though! Dressed in his light brown bear pajamas, with a baby blue blanket wrapped snugly around his entire body, tied up around his neck, Kouta set off about the dorm rooms, camera in hand, wondering who he could take pictures of.
There just.. weren't a lot of people to take pictures of these days. They were really staying inside, considering the terrible cold and storms, or going outside for some ungodly reason, refusing to just take a day or two to relax in the midst of the terrible storm. He had heard some second years were going crazy with training, since they were soon to travel overseas for a sports festival-styled exhibition match. It made sure that there weren't a lot of people around, but there was one he did see, particularly in the common area: A very familiar person at that!
The puffy, fiery orange-to-red hair, the pretty eyes, pillowy lips, slightly curvier body, friendly and natural smile and her generally warm presence! It just couldn't be mistaken, it was Chise! A person he had met so dang long ago, before he was even accepted at U.A.! Fate aligned and, somehow, she was here, in the flesh, attending U.A.! There was no way that he'd resist, taking into a full sprint, almost jumping to hug Chise.
He was afraid of startling or being a nuisance, so he stopped just close to her. "C-Chise-san!! It's me, Kouta!~ It's been so loooong!" The young boy greeted her with the biggest smile he had put on his face in several days, his heart jumping for joy at seeing an old friend whom he had forgotten to get the phone number of.

"Ahhhhh why isn't this working!!" Chise yelled to herself as she stared down at the plate of attempted meringues. She had gotten too impatient and should have left them in the oven to cool naturally. Since she had taken them out as soon as the oven went off, instead of looking like nice peaks, they turned into white holey lumps. Sulking, Chise laid back on her bed, she wanted to make something nice for class tomorrow but something just wasn't clicking tonight. She thought baking would help her alleviate the stress of the event soon to come but the stress of everything around her just made baking a hassle. Letting out a sigh, Chise stared up at the ceiling, taking one of her many stuffed sheep friends and holding them to her chest. "Stupid meringues...stupid stress..." Chise spoke in an annoyed tone of voice, hating that the stress of school and heroing made her angry with something she loved. Perhaps it'd be a good idea to step outside of her room for a bit, move away from the mess and try and clear her head. Perhaps she could brush up on her Gaelic or continue her German lessons. Although did she really want to concentrate that hard right now? She could always try replicating sounds from her phone, train her quirk, perhaps she could read a book. Sitting up, the peachette looked in her closet and saw her lavender sweater hanging up. If she goes out into the common area, perhaps she should at least take a sweater or something as to not appear too disheveled. Plus it did get rather cold in the common area.
The violet eyed beauty changed out of her baking clothes and instead opted for some black leggings and a t-shirt instead, make herself seem somewhat presentable in case some else joined her in the common area. Chise wrapped her sweater around her arms and grabbed a few books off her bookshelf just in case she wanted to read one over the other along with her phone. She didn't feel the need to take much else as the common area was right around the corner from her dorm room. Putting her slippers on, Chise exited her room and headed for the common area. Chise hoped to find someone there to talk to but alas the common area was empty, people were pretty busy after all. Sitting down at one of the tables, Chise set her books down and grabbed one off the top, picking the bookmark out and continuing where she had left off. Ah, this was the one about the dystopian society she had started last week. Haruto had mentioned the author so she decided to see what other works they had and found this one. Luckily the library let her borrow the book, she'd have to remember to turn it in soon. As the peachette was just getting back into the scene of the book, a familiar voice called out her name, seeming closer than normal. Chise looked up and placed her bookmark in her book and turning around, seeing a familiar head of pink hair. "A-Ah Kouta...kun? Is that you?" She remembered now, he was the boy some time ago that saved her from those creeps and joined her in going to the farmers market outside of the city. She didn't think he went to U.A., granted she met him when she was only a first year herself. "It's good to see you again! It may be a little late but congratulations on making it into U.A." Chise said with a warm smile. He seemed much less fidgety since the first time they met, perhaps he outgrew that nervous phase. "What class are you in? Do you like U.A.? Do you have a favorite class? Who's your favorite teacher?" Chise asked, getting a bit ahead of herself when asking questions, she couldn't help it as she wanted to see how the boy was since their last encounter. Chise stopped talking and blinked, staring at Kouta before speaking up once more, "What are you doing in the girl's dorms, Kouta? I didn't think guys could be here unless they asked permission," Chise said unless he did get permission or she was just oblivious to the rules. Her mind was not in the right state to think of the rules of the dorms at the moment. "Also, why do you have a camera?" Chise didn't think much of it first, perhaps he was just into photography.

As friendly as he remembered! Chise was just so warm to him from the get-go, even though they hadn't seen each other in months, getting right to talking to him without any apprehension or shyness, asking him a whole bunch of questions that he had problems keeping up with mentally! He did his best though and, as he moved closer to her, sitting right down next to her in that super comfy sofa, with the blankets wrapped around him, he leaned into her ever so slightly, really showing just how much of his anxiety had dropped since they last met, his life having sent him through enough painful and traumatizing situations for him to just get stronger from it. It had taken him a lot, but he had improved his situation a lot and, as long as he wasn't aware of just how capable of a fighter Chise actually was, he'd remain calm.
"I'm in first year support studies! I like U.A. of course and my favorite classes are any that involve physical activities. Favorite teacher is Ms. Hachi, since she's like a mama to everyone!" Kouta answered all of her questions back to back, finding them to actually be easy to answer. The one that was most loaded was his favorite classes, since he didn't have a concrete one he loved. So many times had he done physical exercise in different classes that he really couldn't choose one. So he loved them all! Pretty simple as far as things went, right?~ "Uhm.. this is the common area. To both dorms! Did you never notice that they are connected, Chise-san?" Kouta asked while tilting his head a slight bit, thinking that she might be playing a prank on him. Or maybe, she just never noticed the other side of the dorms, thinking that they were the other half of the female dorms. Always possible, he was never in the right to judge someone for a simple mistake that anyone could make.
When it came to the cameras, the answer was much more excited. "Oh, oh! I like photography a lot and was looking for people to take photos for a collage I want to keep for myself, so I can have memories of everyone! I'd love to take your picture, Chise-san! You're so pretty and nice to me, I'd love to always keep you in memory!" The boy was very quick to compliment her without a drop of shame or anxiety, being much too excited and happy to even think about it, leaning into her a slight bit further out of excitement.

Had Kouta been walking around in his pjs the whole time? She was surprised he left the boys dorms looking like that. Nothing against wearing pjs, Chise would stay in pjs all day if she could, they were just so comfy! Chise listened with a soft smile as Kouta answered her questions, finding some of the answers surprising. "Oh you're in support studies? That's what I started out in and still in today! People always put support studies down but it's just as good as the hero classes," Chise said with a serious expression and a nod. She was glad to see Kouta go down the support path, not many people seemed to. She also couldn't help the soft happy noise that came from her mouth when Kouta mentioned Hachi, aka the best teacher in U.A. "Ms. Tsutsuji is such a great teacher! We've gotten very close over the past year and a half, it's always a pleasure seeing her every day," Chise said, her cheeks a light pink in hue as she talked about one of her favorite people.
Then Kouta responded to the question that made Chise think for a moment...were the girls and boys dorms really connected this entire time? Was she that oblivious to have not noticed before? Feeling her cheeks grow hot in embarrassment, Chise looked down into her lap, avoiding the other's gaze as she spoke up, "I...I guess I just didn't really notice. I suppose you could say my mind has been pretty preoccupied with school that I failed to notice the dorms were connected." Chise felt quite silly for not knowing something as simple as the connected dorms. She never noticed any guys in the common area nor did she ever hear a guy's voice in the halls. Has she been this oblivious the entire time? Now Kouta probably thinks she's an idiot for not knowing something as simple as that. If only she could just disappear right now.
The attention was turned back on the camera, Kouta explaining that he did enjoy photography and that he was working on a project where he was taking pictures of people, probably students and teachers, to make a collage out of. "That sounds like a really fun project! Have you made any progress yet?" Chise asked, curious about the current state of said project. Then Kouta mentioned wanting to take a picture of Chise for his collage, causing the peachette's cheeks to heat up once more. "A-Are you sure you'd want a picture of me in your collage? I feel a bit honored but I look a mess right now so perhaps another time might be best," Chise said with a sheepish chuckle. She was never used to people taking pictures of her, always too shy in front of the camera.

Chise started out in support studies too? Of course someone sweet and nice like her would start out in support studies, he just couldn't see her as the sort who would actively pursuit a career full of violence - a gripe that Kouta had long harbored towards most hero course students, finding them to be a tad bit too eager and keen to jump straight to violence, since there was just so much more that could be done without caving someone's skull in. There was always a diplomatic and friendlier approach one could take since, and this could shock some hero students if he ever told them, not every criminal "villain" is a super-tier monster or serial killer that just won't listen to reason. A lot of times it's desperate people doing desperate things, people that don't know a different life or someone who's quirk was gone berserk.
Support studies, even for someone who was talented for combat like Kouta, was the perfect way to go about things, since he'd learn a lot more useful skills than just beating someone up. That was his last resort or, in the very small amount of situations, the way of actually stopping someone rampaging. Like when he fended Niso off by fighting him to submission, until he could notify the teachers and secure his own survival. But he was an exception, mostly because he's completely insane. "I'm trying to be the strongest in the first years and make Support Studies proud!"
And while the thought of how silly it was that she didn't notice that the dorms were connected had already faded from his head, he focused entirely on wanting to take a picture of Chise, who was going against it because of some dumb reason like "looking like a mess" - something he didn't really understand, it was kinda the style of her hair to always look wild and kinda messy n' poofy. He wouldn't tell that to her, but instead, he leaned a bit harder into her, pitch black eyes peering right into hers with a confident smile. "Don't be like that! It's the perfect aesthetic for the collage! The genuine, the sudden! Someone who didn't intentionally put dress themselves for a photoshoot - instead letting their natural charm and beauty shine through! You look perfect right now by just being yourself at your most natural!!" Kouta assured her, somehow being quite pushy and assertive when it came to photography, a complete antithesis, a 180 on his usual anxious attitude.

Hearing Kouta say he wanted to be the strongest in the Support Studies class made Chise feel a sense of pride. She was glad there were students still interested in the field of support and not just dive into the heroics field. It made her feel good knowing that she was here to be a role model for the first year support studies students, to be a pillar of strength for these first year students. It was a bit nerve wracking as well as she was in their shoes not too long ago herself. She wanted to give Kouta a warm hug, letting him know that she supported him all the way but was that being a bit too forward? Instead, Chise gave the boy a thumbs up and spoke with a bright smile, "I'll be rooting for you Kouta-kun!" She hoped the rest of the first year support studies class was just as motivated as this once shy, introverted boy was.
Returning back to the topic of photography, Chise still felt a bit uneasy about the picture, finding herself completely not picture worthy by any means. Kouta's enthusiasm didn't seem to die down, though, by any means it seemed to grow stronger to the point where Kouta was almost in Chise's face with a bright smile on his own face. She would feel bad about saying no to him, but then again it was just one picture, how bad could it be? "I...I suppose one picture wouldn't hurt," Chise said, looking down into her lap. "I'm rather camera shy and I don't even know if I'd be a good subject for a picture...but I'll try my best," Chise said to the boy with a sheepish smile. "Should I be doing something specific in this picture? Should I look in the camera? Away from the camera? Looking at my book?" Chise asked a few questions regarding what she should be doing in the photograph. She was sure Kouta would instruct her on what to do.
