Inspiration. The driving force behind innovation, the key to success. That had been what struck Kata in the infirmary and the little ball of energy had only gotten more and more excited by the prospect of realizing that inspiration lying there unable to move for several days. It had been like an itch she just couldn't reach, a problem waiting to be solved. In fact, this particular problem had been plaguing her since the day she was born and now that she had even a theoretical way to fix it, it had become her singular mission that day. She couldn't pay attention in class at all...
Not that that was anything new, but...
She rubbed her face with her hands, braving the immense cold of the post-blizzard campus as she rushed from the classroom building towards the club rooms. Nimue-sensei had told her to take it easy with her Quirk-usage for a while, which was understandable, so it was very important not to let her excitement get the better of her. She couldn't push herself to her limit today like she'd been doing lately, just a nice simple jog, her face beaming with energy and anticipation. Today was the day... today was the day her Quirk stopped being a hindrance and became something she could truly use!
Her bag was hefted over one shoulder, stuffed to the brim with notes and ideas she'd been writing and doodling all throughout the day and during her time at the infirmary. She needed to find someone to help her! Someone who could build this for her, turn her little idea into a reality! And she knew just the person... Kanna-senpai! Considering she'd made that really cool but heavy power fist thing, this simple little design she had in mind should be child'd play for someone as smart as her right? It was a shame she didn't have Physics class today, or she'd have run it by Burst Ace-sensei.
It was quite simple really, which is probably why she didn't see it before now. A set of massage pads located on specific points on her arms and legs to mitigate the production of the lactic acid that tended to build up in her muscles when she used her Quirk. Massaging always helped her after her Quirk burned out, if she could make a device that did that for her, she might be able to still move after her Crash Period! Even if it was just walking away, that at least meant she wouldn't be as much of a liability during rescue missions. Every little advantage in that sense was worth it's weight in gold. Not that she thought this invention would weigh much.
So here she was, running through the snow towards the club building, hoping Kanna-senpai was inside practicing in the martial arts room again, where she'd found her the first time. If she wasn't, she'd have to uh... find someone who knew where her dorm room was? She supposed? This really was a bit of a shot in the dark now that she thought about it. At the same time though, she was aware Kanna-senpai was part of the Martial Arts club and the Robotics Club, so that could be a good place to check next if she wasn't there.
Humming to herself as she reached the front door to the club building, Kata jogged through the hallways, only to stop as a slight twinge in her right thigh gave her a little bit of pain. Seemed like she wasn't at 100% quite yet, she'd need to be more careful. After all, if she fell over here and couldn't get back up she might not see someone for quite a while. It was getting into the afternoon now and Friday wasn't exactly the time most clubs used for practice. Maybe she'd have to crawl around like a zombie! Hehe, bet that'd freak someone out!
With a deep breath, she continued onward, weaving through the hallways to get to the club room, only to slide open the door and find... no one there! Damn! Where could she be? "Oh wait, I have her number!" She stuffed her mitten-covered hand into her pocket to fish out her phone, uselessly tapping at the screen with her other mitten until she finally peeled it off her hand with her teeth, texting Kanna.
"Hey where are ya? Need your help w/ somthin! :3"
