A man's work is his lifeblood - without it, or if it is hindered, the lack of constant attention to this goal will eventually result in negative emotion from the man. Absence in the world was homely for Alfonso, as he continued to search for his work, but to no avail. Cutting himself off from the organisation he had been a part of, refusal to even talk with others unless forced to. It didn't help, there was no progress. He had to balance somehow, create some kind of fresh start wherein he would be able to perform at his apex, and under the correct conditions as well. A theoretical 'return to form' - not that there was a norm in his conscious to return to, not at this point. Many years slaving away for his passion, and he had nothing to show for it, besides a rejuvenation in his physical appearance. Practically a spit in his own face, his genius used to appeal to a higher power.
But now that higher power was no longer around. In an attempt to outsource himself again, the loathsome but useful assistant, Niso, had given information that the Oracle was captured by authorities in an excursion at the Shinagawa docks, and that Eternity was now considered disbanded. After this reveal, Alfonso took what he had, and brought it back to his original office, which while lower in scale, was now empowered by better equipment. What's more, the event that had the Oracle captured, was heralded by a new organisation, the Plutocracy. They apparently had developed a drug, some kind of bio-organic weapon, a material which sounded fascinating to Alfonso. He intended to somehow take some, but with little contact with his fellow Eternity members, he had little amount to fall back on. The few he had seen around included Niso, obviously, a woman who appeared to be his partner, the Painter, and another woman, Calabar. The latter proved interesting, as she was apparently present during the event at Shinagawa, plus she was offering services. Since he was on neither good nor bad terms with Niso, just a sense of general distaste towards his attitude, perhaps a new body gatherer who might be able to provide more information on this 'M.A.R.I.N.E' drug would be adequate.
Contacting her earlier to meet in his office, Alfonso lay in wait, like many times before, to gain insight into the world of villainy. It almost felt nostalgic to him somehow.
