The world has always been a dark and scary place. People are cruel, they hurt one another, take from one another, destroy lives and break hearts. It is an endless, ruthless cycle. It goes without saying that mankind has taken pains to make sense of the cruelty of the world. They've found ways to distract themselves, find meaning and even brightness in the darkness. Gods, Goddesses, Fairytales, Magic, whimsy. All of it is an effort to find comfort and peace of mind. In the end that is all we can do for ourselves since, in the end, the cruel world comes for us all.
The phone had an embossed symbol of a lotus on the back, framed in black. Sonya flipped it closed and a small beep sounded within, the harddrive flashing and cleaning out. No record of what was spoken of or who was called would remain. The private network it operated it on was secure enough to not worry too much about. Sonya slipped the phone into the inner pocket of her purse, drawing the strap over her shoulder while the car came to a stop on the concourse. The engine ran just loud enough to be heard in the small cabin that made up the rear portion of the vehicle; black leather and silk lining. An elegant console lined with buttons was arranged in the middle with a small cooler set just beneath it.
Cla clack!
The hard lock disengaged and the door opened. An umbrella was presented to Sonya by her driver who stepped away just in time for her to kick one leg out, skin exposed to the elements. It was a dreary day all things considered and sunlight was minimal. Still, the ambient uv radiation was enough to make her feel just a little queasy. She frowned and forced herself out of the vehicle, letting the shade of the umbrella ease her tension a little more before the driver shut the door. Sonya held out a hand and the driver opened the front passenger's door, reaching in. There was a small rustle followed by the man standing up with a magnificent bouquet of flowers in his hand. He placed it in her hand and she smiled, nodding to him before allowing him to take the car to park. She would be a while.
It was a short walk to the lobby of the hospital. A small man in a wheelchair looked up at her, smiling, before seeing her eyes. Artificial, mechanical, they spun and glowed with an oddly cruel pink light. She looked down at him over her nose, her expression twisting into a smile that reeked of unspent cruelty. One wrong word and his life would be an endless hell for years and years to come. She did not kill her victims until they were well and truly a liability. He didn't even have to give her a second look to know that she was the end of his life if he spoke. He looked away, shivering, while she strode through the automatic doors and into the main lobby. There several patients and guests were minding their own business. Sonya closed the umbrella and soaked in the ambient artificial light. She felt the queasiness fade and her skin even began to sparkle a little.
She flipped her hair and approached the counter. A nurse looked up and froze, her eyes wide, beauty stunning her to silence. A flush rose to her cheeks as Sonya leaned in, lidded, glowing eyes locked with the young woman's. "Primula. In recovery," Sonya said gently, reaching out and placing a hand on the screen that would show the acceptable guest lists that had been built into the table. The woman shifted a bit, "B-but..." She murmured, Sonya reached out and touched her chin. "Please, I'll put in a good word with the director," Sonya paused and looked at her name badge; "Miss Ino..." She whispered, her tone a bit more...heated than was probably appropriate. Nurse Ino shivered and grabbed a post-it-note, writing a room number down (along with her own phone number) and handed it to Sonya.
Sonya looked at it and smiled, standing and tapping the woman on the lips "I was never here," Sonya said gently. The woman nodded half a dozen times before Sonya left, making her way down to the elevators.
She arrived at room 551b only five minutes later. Flowers in hand and a smile on her face. No one paid her any mind, she looked like she knew where she was going. She reached out with gentle fingers and rapped the door twice before pushing inside, brushing back her glittering silver hair a bit and letting the artificial light of the room send her skin glittering even more.
"You must be Primula," Sonya said as he entered, not yet looking at the girl. She turned her head and opened her eyes, "I am Sonya," she said calmly, flicking the door lock with a casual finger. "...but I believe you may call me Ishtar," | TAG WORDS NOTES

The world was a harsh and cruel place, that was the one lone truth that the young Primula had been forced to come to terms with despite her young age. The world kept on taking and taking, first it took her family, then her grandfather and now the last thing she had left was taken from her. It didn't matter how much she cried, nor how much she tried to reject reality, her beloved Titania had disappeared ever since she had woken up in the hospital. How many days had passed since then? She still felt as if she was trapped within a cycle, an unending repetitive pattern. Sometimes she would get visitors in the form of members of the police department, they often tried to ask her about the events that had transpired at Shinagawa, but the truth spoken by the girl seemed so outlandish that it was unlikely they would believe her. Indeed, things like a fairy trying to help her find a treasure? Such a ridiculous story only belonged in a fairy-tale.
Then there were the doctors and nurses, they tried to reassure her that she would get better, fortunately the medical substances that she had consumed were narrowly able to be extracted from her body on time, but the procedure had been difficult and draining on her body, which explained why the child felt so weak and tired most of the day. However, she felt distrustful of them, the looks they gave her when she talked about Titania and all the other experiences, made it seem like they didn't believe her in the slightest.
Slowly the girl stirred in her bed, lying on her back as she gazed up at the tiles of the ceiling. As pure as snow... Right, it was winter outside, wasn't it? Shifting her body she turned onto her side, her mismatched eyes gazing tiredly outside the window. Although the sky was shrouded in a blanket of grey clouds, a dreary sight to behold, the slow descend of the snowflakes was a bit of a mesmerizing sight for the child.
How would Titania have felt about the snow? Knowing the fairy, surely she would have been fascinated at it, then again she didn't even know for sure if Titania's world even had something like snow. Still, it was this dreary everyday life, this monotonous repeation of events that felt odd to her. She might had not been a rebelous child, but the fact every day with Titania had been an adventure, made the recent days feel like somewhat of a bore. Melancholy at life, this life was one that lacked purpose, meaning, excitement even. It was a realization that projected itself in the child her eyes, which had long lost their luster, the lively sparkle in them absent.
She closed her eyes and sighed softly, the only sound answering her being the soft beeps of the machinery strapped on the side of her bed. The doctors had told her it was an important device, one which was ensuring that they would know the moment she started feeling unwell. Perhaps it was because of the green-colored line which flashed up and down along the screen, or the numbers which carried a meaning foreign to her. She wasn't sure, nor did she truly care. It was just a detail in the background. Outside her room footsteps resounded, likely a doctor or a nurse, perhaps on their way to tend to a patient. She knew they wouldn't be here for her, the doctors usually came at specific times, like a doctor came in the morning, roughly an hour after the nurse replaced the bag with fluids that was hanging on the end of the bed. She was told it was meant to give her energy because she didn't eat properly yet.
Quietly the child closed her eyes, wondering how long she would drift off to sleep before being stirred out of her slumber again, yet the sound of a gentle rapping on the door, not just once but twice made her slowly open her eyes. The child decided to sit upright again.
Something was wrong...
Slow steps resounded on the floor as a stranger entered her room. They clearly didn't seem to be part of the police department, they usually wore uniforms or this lady must had been really forgetful. She clearly wasn't a nurse either, so who... was she?
Something was changing...
Despite the pleasant smile on her lips and the sight of the beautiful flowers, something felt off, different about this woman. Perhaps it was the slight glittering of her skin, a healthy shine that made it look free of blemishes, divine even. Her gaze lingered on the woman's face as she introduced herself as Sonya, the glow of her eyes and the words that followed...
And just like that, the peaceful monotonous cycle of her life had started to shatter.
"I-shtar?" The girl repeated, softly and hesitant at first, trying to push her body upright, a gesture that took a clear sign of physical effort for her. "I remember... reading." She pressed her hand onto the mattress, trying to keep herself steady as she continued speaking. "There is a Goddess, that has your name, an ancient society used to worship her a long time ago. But why... why would a goddess come here?"
She shook her head lightly, despite the hint of curiosity in her eyes there was also a clear shadow of depression visible. "I would have understood if you came here to seek Titania, since she is the queen of fairies but... She disappeared by the time I woke up, and nobody wants to believe me that she is real." The girl dropped her shoulders dejectedly, leaning back against the pillows supporting her back. "Nobody wants to look for her, because they think I'm talking about fairytales, but she is real miss Ishtar! Because of my power, my power made her fairytale a reality!" She paused for a bit, looking straight at Ishtar. "B-But I don't think I used my power to bring you here, you came from outside..."

Cruel, cold, mechanical eyes swirled in place, lenses twisting and adjusting to angles and distances; constantly searching perfect focus. Sonya, no, Ishtar's face was unreadable, mute, as she deposited the bundle of flowers on the faux wood counter. She rested a set of delicate fingers on the paper wrapping, it crinkled a little. She turned; looking down at the youthful patient, skin like a peach, soft and delicate. Unblemished in appearance, though her mind was yet touched, already bearing the taint of reality. Ishtar went to her side when the girl moved to rise, the effort appearing to pain her. She reached out, taking one of the girl's hands and resting a leather-bound palm on her back.
Ishtar listened and forced a smile down. So that was what this was about. What a beautiful, imaginative mind this child had. Thoughtful, observant, a good memory with an education to back it up. So this was why. Ishtar nodded in all the right places, and even allowed her expression to become pained when she spoke about belief. A tragedy and an opportunity if there ever was one. Titania must be some manner of manifestation of her quirk, ah, yes, she even confirmed it herself. She brought Titania into the world, yet her own shattered mind forced her to blend fiction and reality. Otherwise, according to her informant, she was a normal girl. How curious and fortuitous. She remained silent until the girl looked straight at her, placing a glittering hand on hers, giving those digits a squeeze.
She raised her free hand to her lips, pressing a finger to urge her to quiet. "I am very real, my dear, very, very real;" Ishtar said gently; rubbing the back of the girl's hand with her thumb. "And so is Titania, she is real too, you made her real, you said it yourself;" She said, drawing a stool closer to be near the confused young woman. "And I, am here to help you. The black lotus told me of your trepidation and drew me to your side," Ishtar added, reaching up and brushing a hair from the youth's face. She was... beautiful. Such a precious creature. Her contact in the Fraternity had warned her she would be a little different, that she would likely be a good student. What they hadn't mentioned was how perfect she was. She wondered what manner of Quirk this 'Titania' entailed. It would only be a matter of time until she found out.
Ishtar reached for the clipboard that detailed the treatment the girl was undergoing. They had her on sedatives. That made sense. Her recovery was basically done but they were worried about her mental state. Ishtar shook her head; "A beautiful bird in a cage," She murmured before flipping the page over; no guardians, no one to call for her, no one to come for her. With an unusual quirk like hers she'd likely end up in the system and they might try to 'treat her' maybe even put her through intensive rehabilitation. Break her of her delusion. What a waste. Ishtar put the clipboard down and reached for the girl's hand again, resting her palm on the back of her hand and looking her in the eyes. "Tell me about you, tell me about Titania, the lotus told me you were in danger, but I believe this might be more than that... this might be fate," She murmured. "Let me hear your story..."

It was difficult to read Ishtar's expression, in most cases, it would have left her feeling restless, but in this case, the child felt more curious than anything. It was similar to telling a child not to go somewhere, and instinctively they were drawn toward discovering that place people warned them of. Despite her exhaustion, she carefully observed as Ishtar deposited the bundle of flowers on the counter, a soft whisper escaping her lips, although it was barely audible. Indeed, as Ishtar moved over to her side to help her sit upright, and the girl explained things somewhat, it became more and more evident how damaged the poor child her mind truly was. Fiction and reality blended together so beautifully, and yet it came with the danger that just like with Primula, one would find it difficult to get a grasp of whether the things they knew were reality or fiction. Some might even say that the question: When does it cease to be fiction, might be more apt. Was it when someone believed strongly enough in something? When it became a manifestation, a part of reality?
As she felt that finger press lightly onto her lips, the girl quietened down, listening attentively to her. So this 'Ishtar was real, was she a real goddess? A being brought into existence by her power? No, that seemed impossible, after all she had not a strong enough impression of the goddess to be able to bring her into reality.
However, it was the words that followed that drew her attention: Titania was real. It was that affirmation that stirred something within the child, the fact that someone believed her, believed in the fact Titania existed. However, it was she who had made Titania real, by her own power. What could that have possibly meant? Was she able to alter reality? However, while Ishtar explained she was here to help her, that the black lotus had warned her about what had unfolded and drew Ishtar to her side, confusion stirred in the child's mind. "The Black lotus?" She pondered for a moment, her free hand gently shifting to rest on her lap, palm of her hand facing upwards while she tried to imagine the concept, a beautiful obsidian colored lotus flower, and indeed for a moment, it appeared like the air above her hand stirred, the phantasm of a black lotus flower blooming, even its scent and the details of the flower seemed perfect, at least until the effect of the sedative made her cough lightly, the phantasm shattering into tiny fragments and dissolving into tin air. "You mean like a flower? Does Miss Ishtar have a magical flower that can talk?"
Nonetheless, as Ishtar looked her in the eyes the girl's gaze shifted lightly toward her hand and then back to Ishtar and explained in a soft tone. "Titania is my friend. She comes from another world, a world that is often told about in stories. She is a really beautiful fairy, according to the stories she is even the Queen of fairies! We met for the first time after my grandfather took us in. My power... it makes the things I imagine become a reality, like one day when I woke up in the middle of the night my papa and mama were watching a scary movie, the house was on fire, and a lot of flames were burning around. When I fell asleep I couldn't help but think how scary it looked, like this sea of crimson, burning and burning endlessly, and then I woke up to find the house on fire! I tried to find Mama and Papa, but they were in their room and told me to run outside, that they'd find a way to find me soon, but then... everything burned down and I never saw Mama or Papa again."
She lowered her head lightly, the memories clearly having their impact on the child's poor mind. "When I met Titania, it was shortly after that, I was scared and missed my mama and papa a lot, so I my grandpa gave me all sorts of books to read, and one of them was about Titania, and then after I fell asleep? The next morning the real Titania was before me! It wasn't like the usual way my power works, she was able to think and act entirely on her own, and she taught me a lot. Like, she told me that my grandpa was actually not my grandpa, but a evil magician who wanted to obtain my power for himself, and was disguised as my grandpa. Obviously I couldn't tell anyone, because only Titania and I knew he was an evil magician, so she taught me how to use my power, and then we punished him... I learned how to transform into a fairy like Titania! so that he couldn't hurt anyone else. But then friends of the evil magician were on his way, and we had to escape before it was too late, so I used my power to fly away."
She shook her head lightly, trying to do her best to shake of the drowsiness. "That's when I first arrived in Musutafu... I met Mister G, and Miss Hachi who is part of this school of nice people trying to teach people like me how to use their power. But then me and Titania went to Shinagawa to look for treasure, to find presents for Christmas, and we met a clay girl and a lakelord, a prince of froggies! But instead of treasure we found bad people, scary things, bad toys and yuicky juice..."
She shook her head violently again. "Was a bad place, I tried to taste some of the juice to see if it was tasty, so I could give some as a present, but then instead my stomach started to hurt and I fainted. By the time I woke up, I was here in the hospital and Titania was gone... Do you know where she is miss Ishtar?"

Ishtar's glowing eyes flicked left and right with sublte jumps, searching the girls face. There was confusion there; she was struggling. How close were fantasy and reality for her? Was her mind that much of a jumble? The villain's lips formed a thin line while she comforted the youth while she tried to wrap her head around all that she had been told already. "The Black Lotus, yes. Like a flower..." Ishtar said, reaching up and brushing her finger over the small black pin that held fast to her lapel. "I have many friends, and they each have a black lotus, like this one. It is our symbol..." Ishtar offered as a way of explanation, brushing another strand of hair out of Primula's face and behind her ear. She effortlessly encouraged the delusion while never lying to the girl. The almost kind smile that etched its way across her face was stark compared to the unfeeling gaze of her artificial eyes.
Then the girl told her story, Ishtar following along with rapt attention. She held the girl's hand the entire time, her gaze never faltering. So the girl's parents had died in a fire conjured by the girl herself. She'd never confronted that painful reality, not in a truly healthy way. That first scar was only compounded by what came next. Titania. Titania was a figment of her imagination born from her quirk and given sentience by the wretched scar in her mind. From what she could gather by the structure and function of her quirk, Ishtar could almost visualize it. Fascinating. But what was more fascinating was the shocking lust to kill that Titania possessed even though she was born from the mind of a youth. She wondered if it was perhaps a split personality; a fractured mental structure? Ishtar's lip curled just a little and she looked down at the girl's hand, squeezing it again. She knew the craving, the need to kill, to maim. She'd confronted it when she was very little. Poor Primula had never been given the chance to break free of the delusion and become high-functioning.
The girl continued on regardless; G. The vigilante. Interesting. So they had a connection. She looked up when she heard that the girl was at Shinagawa. How far had they been from one another at that time? How close had they been? Ishtar leaned back in her chair when the girl finished with her question; "...this truly is fate, I was there, watching over Shinagawa, my light cast across it..." Ishtar said solemnly, looking at her hand, a faint glow rising up from her skin as the glitter faded away. "I do know where she is, Primula. She's hidden, locked away, sealed by the curse that the poison in these tubes has cast upon you. You feel sleepy? Have headaches? You cannot think clearly, mmm? See how your power wanes when you try to call on it... that is man's medicine, a sedative that they use as a poison..." A mixture of fiction and reality.
"Once the poison leaves your body, which may take some time, you will be whole again Primula, and you will be able to work toward seeing your dear Titania again," Ishtar said, reaching up and taking the girl by the chin; "But it will be hard, and your heart will ache, and your body will tire, but you will grow strong... this is a trial, one that you must overcome to blossom into who you truly are;" Ishtar said, smiling; "But do not be afraid, for I will be with you every step of the way..." Ishtar whispered, "...that is, if you wish to come with me away from here..." | TAG WORDS NOTES

"A symbol..." so it was like that. She remembered Titania telling her something along those lines before. Often groups of friends tended to band together, to work together to overcome obstacles that were too difficult for a single person to overcome. Those groups carried a name, and often had a heraldry, a symbol that represented their group. Indeed, such groups were sometimes known as... "Like a guild..." Primula whispered softly, looking at Ishtar who gently brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. It was a difficult moment, to rekindle those distant memories and think back about the distant past.
She paused, thinking for a moment as she waited for Ishtar to comment, yet the words that followed were surprising, to say the least. So Ishtar had been there, at Shinagawa, casting her light over it? While most would question what Ishtar had been doing there, Primula couldn't help but notice the faint glow, fascinated by it but before she could inquire about it Ishtar dropped a revelation that drew her attention entirely. "You do?" She asked hopefully, a spark of liveliness in her eyes yet the words that followed surprised her even more. She was hidden, locked away by a wicked curse! As Ishtar commented about the poison in those tubes her gaze shifted to the side, looking at the tube that connected the bag with her arm. "B-But they said it was to help me, to ease the pain..." However, as Ishtar continued her explanation, about how she felt sleepy, the headaches that recurringly happened at times she tried to think clearly, how her mind seemed shrouded by a fog. How could she possibly deny such a claim, when she had seen her own phantasm just now shatter?
"They tricked me..." The girl whispered feebly, her hands balling up slightly into small fists. "They took Titania away from me, locked her away..." It was clear that despite the tears rolling down her cheeks that anger was starting to stir within her. "The liars..." for a moment she felt dejected, betrayed even yet as Ishtar lifted her chin the girl looked up at her. "I will be able to meet Titania again?" There was a clear hope in her voice, seemingly undeterred by the warning that it would be hard, that it would hurt and exhaust her, yet the invitation that was given made the girl reach with both hands for Ishtar's hand. "Please help me escape from here Miss Ishtar. Titania must be really lonely and sad by herself." For a moment she lowered her head slightly, her expression difficult to read as she whispered softer, the subtle difference in her tone making it evident there was more to Ishtar's earlier assumption than she might have thought.
"And those liars have to be punished..."
To think that all this time she was being tricked, fooled and deceived by the people that promised they were trying to help her. It sounded like such a heartless deception, and perhaps it was for that reason she felt so angry, because those people sealed her precious Titania away...

She seemed so feeble, so broken, it was hard to believe that this girl would be someone worth the time of the woman who aimed to wrest the position of number one from Thundershock. Her mind was like putty in Ishtar's hands. Was this really a good use of her time? She resisted the urge to frown, watching her tiny hands ball up into fists. Bitterness in her eyes. Something else was there too, something darker. It was subtle at first, disguised by the rolling tears of grief. Hope choked by betrayal, and then... there it was. When her head dipped... that was when it happened; a soft whisper, her tone shifting, it was harder... sharper... colder. Ishtar smiled. Yes. There it was. That was what she was looking for.
Hate.
Ishtar got to her feet, holding the girl's hand with one hand and pulling her phone from her coat pocket with the other. She flipped it open, speed dial kicking over as she made a call. It rang once before flipping over to a voicemail box, no words, just a beep. She cleared her throat and said; "Do it,"
SNAP!
The phone shut with a clack of plastic against plastic and she slipped it back into her pocket while it made that selfsame beeping sound from earlier. Ishtar knelt back down to Primula's side and shifted her weight, sitting on the bed with the girl. She stroked the youth's head gently, whispering gentle words for a few moments, easing the grief she was feeling. "You'll have your chance... I promise you..." Ishtar said quietly, leaning in and pressing her head against Primula's forehead. "I need you to be patient for me, can you be patient for me? Even if one of the liars shows their face right now, pretend, play their game, until I whisk you away. I may have to pretend as well. Play along my dear. And then... we'll find them..." She said, her words growing colder.
As if summoned by her words, the doorknob rattled once, twice, three times, before the sound of a key slipping in drew Ishtar away from the girl. Ishtar pulled away almost reluctantly, sitting down on the chair next to Primula and stared at the door. It opened and a wiry doctor with thin-rimmed glasses stormed inside, his face flustered. "Primula what have I- oh..." He was about to fly into a lecture but spotted Ishtar instead. The villainess crossed her legs; "Good afternoon, Doctor," She said, giving him a courteous smile. He lowered his clipboard to his side; "What is the...who are..." He checked his clipboard, "You aren't authorized to be here!" He said, slapping the clipboard with the back of his palm.
Ishtar hesitated only long enough for a buzz to go off in her pocket. Then a second one immediately after. She smiled; "On the contrary, I am Primula Chernova's legal guardian. I am most certainly allowed to be in my daughter's room, Doctor..." She squinted at his name badge, her glowing eyes flashing a bit. He stammered, stepping back a few paces before calling to a nurse and demanding to understand what is going on. There was a long... long pause while Ishtar gently squeezed the girls hand; running her thumb over her knuckles. At last, the doctor came back, pale as a ghost.
"I-I didn't know... Miss Chernova... I er... she said nothing about her family... we had no idea..."
Ishtar held up a hand, "We were separated during the Shinagawa incident. I feared her dead, but here she is..." Ishtar said, relief in her voice, before brushing Primula's hair with a finger. "I'll be taking her home with me today. Get these...things out of her. I'll call for a change of clothes, yes? Now go away. I want to spend time with her," She snapped, nodding to the door. The doctor trembled once but eventually made his way out, shutting the door behind him. Ishtar let out a breath, leaning back a bit in her chair and squeezing the gir'ls hand. Axel was getting a bonus this quarter. She smiled at the young girl, patting the back of her hand with a reassuring look on her face.

It was difficult for her to focus, perhaps it was because of the sedatives or because of her anger, but she had been oblivious to the fact Ishtar had made a phone call. Instead she felt her mind shrouded in a fog, trying to make sense of this revelation. So the people of the hospital had betrayed her, tricked her into thinking they wanted to help her, yet instead they poisoned her! They used that weird medicine to make her weak, to seal Titania away and that was an unforgivable crime. For someone to who hatred was an unfamiliar emotion, it was a difficult something to comprehend. She felt sad and angry, to think that those people had taken away her beloved Titania. She wanted to save her, to take back Titania, and if anyone would stand between her and that goal? She would punish them.
Primula had to admit she felt somewhat surprised as Ishtar knelt at her side, gently stroking her head, the sweet whisper feeling oddly nostalgic, the easing of her grief. Ishtar reassured her that she would have her chance, a promise made by her, and as she gently pressed against her forehead, Primula nodded her head lightly. "I'll be patient." despite the soft whisper, there was a slight coldness to her words, as if it reflected her thoughts, the thoughts that the lone reason she was willing to be patient wasn't to be a good girl, it was because in order to trick those liars, she needed to be patient and careful, if she wanted to be reunited with Titania she needed to trick and deceive, to pretend toward those liars. So that once she had the opportunity, she would get the thing she desired.
The doorknob rattled, the door unlocking as a doctor entered the room, her gaze softening as she looked at the man. Despite the fact he was on the brink of flying onto a lecture for some reason, she remained looking calm and docile, watching the exchange between Ishtar and the doctor. As expected the doctor told Ishtar she had no permission to be here, yet the words that followed caught her by surprise. She was no stranger to family names, it was just that she had been too young to know her real parents their names, and as such she had always been just 'Primula'. There was a long pause, the exchange between the doctor and a nurse happening upon which the man answered her hesitatingly, a moment where Primula spoke up "I..." she paused, seemingly struggling to get upright to face the doctor. "I want to go home with my mama!" the girl declared firmly, even if it had been a lie, she had to admit it felt oddly pleasant, a warmth to know that someone considered her family despite having just met. To be called someone's daughter, and even to be given a family name felt special, different even, and as she squeezed Ishtar's hand she waited to see the rest of the conversation unfold.
Ishtar had made her demands, and once the doctor left the room Primula looked up at Ishtar, whispering softly. "You're a bit too young to be my mama..." She paused, a more genuine smile emerging on her lips. "Sonya nee-chan seems more fitting~" it seemed that despite the anger she felt earlier, there was still a clear sign of that gentle child Sonya had met just moments ago. Although Primula couldn't help but look forward to when those sedates were finally forced out of her, the treacherous venom had separated her from Titania for way too long.

Primula's outburst had been unexpected; they'd just met after all and the guardianship was nothing more than a ruse to get her away from the hospital. Even a half-drunk idiot knew well enough that the situation was far less than legitimate. Yet for all her delusions, the girl was able to recognize the right time to play along. What a delight. Ishtar's lips curled into an almost genuine smile. She canted her head to the right, her glowing eyes boring into the face of the doctor until he departed; responding to the affectionate squeeze of Primula's hand with her own gentle grip. "You did well," Ishtar said, before looking down at the girl who gave her own genuine smile. Ishtar chuckled a bit, waving her hand dismissively; she was leaps and bounds more stable than women well beyond her age; more than fit to be a mother.
Sonya Nee-Chan
Ishtar froze, the faint glow of her eyes fading a bit. Something about the way she said that drew a chill up her spine. She didn't exactly hate the term of endearment, though it defintely wasn't something she was used to. She drew her hand away and rubbed her own knuckles gently, squinting up at the artificial light above them. The beating beams of fake light were charging her body well. She gave a lopsided smile to the ceiling before rising to her feet and crossing her arms behind her back, looking down at Primula. "To the public, you will be Primula Chernova, Sonya Chernova-my adoptive daughter. I am a businesswoman and own a company as my cover, I make many things, clothes, makeup, weapons, tools, even phones," Ishtar said, opening her coat a bit and drawing out a small glossy...something.
Ishtar's expression became hard, stern, "As I said before, though, this is a trial. Living in my home, studying at my feet, it will not be easy. You will suffer. You will cry. You will ache. But you will become strong enough that no one will ever take Titania away from you again... but in exchange, I expect you to obey, to listen, and to heed my commands; do you understand?" Ishtar said cooly. She crossed her arms behind her back, toying with the black object between her fingers, juggling it from one pair to another before rolling it back down like a coin. She did not blink, she did not even budge, her expression was so flat it seemed almost inuhuman. The subdermal region began to take on a faint glow; making her seem almost ethereal as pale light spread into the room.
This girl would be her first protege, and she would learn one way or another. A perfect tool. A perfect weapon to use against her enemies in hero society and beyond. She would be the first of many youths turned into a new generation of villains; a new villain society. She'd dreamed of finding her first student ever since she declared her private war against hero society. She never intended to destroy it; oh no. No she intended to corrupt it from the inside out, blurring the line between hero and villain until it was almost indistinguishable. She would suck it dry until nothing was left. All of her ambitions required more than just rogues and criminals, she needed something more than villains. Super Villains. The antithesis of these young 'heroes' who were growing in UA.
Primula would be one of the first.
Ishtar extended her hand, inviting her. | TAG WORDS NOTES

Primula nodded her head slightly into an affirmation to Ishtar's praise. It took a moment for Primula to react, merely taking in the explanation Sonya gave her. So she was a businesswoman, owning a company that made many things, plenty of assets and connections to possess for sure. And from now on she would be Primula Chernova, this woman's adoptive daughter. The hardening of the woman's expression did not go unnoticed, the stern explanation that it was a trial. Despite the fact she would be living with Ishtar, studying like an apprentice to learn the skills the woman wielded. "mhmm~" the girl answered softly in confirmation, her smile remaining yet at the same time as she dipped her head lightly her tone changed slightly. "This suffering is only fleeting, as long as your commands don't intervene with my own desires, then Prim will be a good girl~"
She lifted her gaze, and for the first time, Sonya would no doubt notice it, that the blue iris of the girl was having a subtle glow. "After all~ A proper business transaction is mutually beneficial for both sides. Isn't that right 'Mama'?" There was a subtle coldness laced in with the playful tone. Shifting her body lightly, she gazed up at the bag that connected the sedative fluids to her arm. "It won't be long now... Just a bit longer till the reunion we desire is at hand."
She mused softly, her gaze shifting back at Ishtar as she reached with a hand toward the outreached hand of the woman, squeezing it lightly. "Don't worry Mama~ Prim will be a good girl, but in return... Prim wants to make those mean liars be punished. Can we do that? Because they took away someone precious from Prim... We should do the same~"
She leaned back against the pillows, humming softly. "However~ Mama is also quite naughty." She giggled softly, almost childishly as she looked up at Sonya and spoke softly. "Naughty but you don't lie, Prim likes that." She narrowed her gaze slightly. "As long as Mama remembers... Prim is mine, and we are the Queen of Pixies, our role is not that of a tool to be molded and wielded as a sword. But since Mama is so interesting~ We are fine with becoming Mama's little princess~"
She started to slowly close her eyes. "After all, this world... has.... no need.... for heroes..."
And with those words the glow seemingly faded away as the girl had dozed off into slumber. the child's expression softened noticeable, a pleasant smile on her lips as she muttered gently. "Mama..." Still, even as the child drifted off into sleep, a faint shimmer was noticeable on top of the girl's bed, a small outline, like a little wisp glowing faintly as a familiar voice called out to Ishtar. "You better make your arrangements soon 'Mama~' It won't be long till Prim gets the reunion Prim desires. And at that time, it would be in our mutual interests for Prim to be somewhere private~"

Well... that didn't take long.
Ishtar smiled; "Hello Titania," She murmured, sitting back in her seat and watching the door for when the men arrived to release the girl from her IV. The creature, the person within the body of the girl, was far more eloquent and well spoken than her alter ego which gave some credence to the idea that this was more than just a simple split personality. There was a level of firmness in Titania's identiy; compared to Primula, that came across with every word she said. Titania lifted her gaze to meet Ishtar's eyes and she saw the proof present on her face, the blue iris glowing with a sublte light. Ishtar smiled; crossing her legs and staring straight into that glowing blue eye with her pink artificial spheres; "That is the intention of all transactions," Ishtar said, following the girls gaze to the bag. Ah, of course.
Ishtar looked down at her hand, a smile breaking out across her lips while the girl clung to her hand; "Patience. All in good time. Their punishments will come, one way or another;" Ishtar said, rising to her feet. She could hear the steps coming. She glanced down as the "Queen of Pixies" gave her warning. Ishtar smiled, a warm smile, almost kind. Even as her cold eyes spun with a ruthless, monotonous, twist of lense against lense. No one tells Ishtar what she can and cannot have. Not even you, little pixie.
The doors opened as Primula's eyes fell shut and the nurse team removed the minor restraints and the iv, freeing the child at last. Ishtar reached out to the girl with one hand while flourishing a signature with another. She wasted no time after that; shooing the staff out while she arranged for the girl to get dressed. Hurrying her through the process with the urgency of someone desperate to get the girl away from somewhere dangerous. It took only a few minutes for the girl to get dressed and sit down in the wheelchair that would assist her until the sedatives wore off. She rolled the girl out the front door and toward the first step of her new life. | TAG WORDS NOTES
