Cinder Sprites
COMPANION INFORMATION
Hero/Vigilante/Villain alias: Cinder Sprites
Player Name: Quizzity
Companion Type: Summon
Companion Rank: F
Faceclaim/Series: Kodama from Princess Mononoke
Age: 1 Day ~ 2 Weeks Old, at most
Gender: Genderless
Appearance: Small sprites ranging from 6-15 centimeters tall, varying shades of light grey to black with smoldering eyes. These sprites tend to leave sooty footprints in their wake. They are genderless and clothes-less, but otherwise vaguely humanoid. Their behavior is animalistic but somewhat intelligent, much like a crow. They chitter but don’t speak, and seem to have a very basic understanding of human language.
Summoning Process: When Tobias erupts, he now naturally creates cinder sprites. The detritus spills from his pores and congeals into semi-solid humanoid shapes. Following the eruption, he will have a few dozen of these creatures at his beck and call. Since they are only cinders, however, they tend to dissipate rather easily, and last no longer than two weeks.

ABILITIES
Float
Type: Combat
Rank: F
Effect: Much like ashes rises from a flame, Cinder sprites can, very briefly float on the air. In still air, they can float for approximately a meter in a direction that they leap. The slightest breeze can, however, push them off course.
Sprite Network
Rank: F
Type: Specialist
Effect: The sprites share one consciousness, and can communicate with one another as necessary. They can also communicate with Tobias, although their speech is outwardly unintelligible to anyone besides him. This works well for espionage. There are however a few crucial downfalls to this ability. Firstly, in order to communicate with one another, sprites must be within 10-12 meters of Tobias. If they venture any further, they’ll simply dissipate. Secondly, sprites are about as intelligent as crows, and incredibly literal. This leads to abundant miscommunications. For example, if a soot sprite were to overhear a lover’s quarrel about someone cheating-on someone else, it might report to Tobias that, “The man was upset about the woman cheating at a game,” rather than, “The woman was seeing other men.” They’re very simple, and thus unreliable.
