The streets of the Musutafu shopping district were packed; as usual. Lights flashed, people moved, the world turned and money was the fuel, the goal, the everything. The dark vehicle, like many others of its like on the road, turned once at an intersection, maintaining a even pace as often as it could. The driver had heavy shades on and kept his hat low as to obscure his face further. The rear of the vehicle was blocked with a pane of tinted glass that no one could see into no matter what angle they approached at. Most people dismissed it as a craving for privacy. Not for this passenger.
Sonya, Ishtar was her Villain name, thrived in the attention. She savored the adulation of the common person looking on as she solved all their problems for her. There were new projects every day, new products every evening, and new ideas every night. So much to do, so little time, and yet. The sun scorned her. Sunlight was her weakness; her great bane, UV radiation weakened her quirk and left her defenseless if exposed to too much. It was... painful to say the least. She refused, refused to be in such a position. She would rather die than be rendered helpless.
So she lingered in the rear of the car, watching the world trickle by through windows designed to filter out the UV radiation and protect her. The comfortable seat she reclined in was made of leather, the padding exotic, the glass of wine in her hand was expensive and the dress she wore was a design she herself had overseen. The tailors her company employed had worked round the clock to make something capable of enduring the full force of her quirk while still being as exotic and impactful as possible. They'd come up with this sleek one piece dress with a spiderweb pattern opening the back. The white fabric blended with her white skin, making her glow even more. Black glitters sparkled across her like an inverted night sky.
Sonya smiled, glancing out the window again when something caught her eye.
Her breath caught in her throat.
"...Bozhe moy," she hissed in her native Russian. She tapped a button on the console to her right and cleared her throat; "Stop the car," | TAG WORDS NOTES

The shopping centre was still busy if she thought it was busy during Christmas morning, she had not realized the next day. She should not have forgotten to buy things but she bumped into Sean and she forgot literally everything else. Or something along those lines. She sighed at herself while her hands were full with little bags and packages, finally, she had found the things she needed and it were not even gifts. It was definitely tiring and she might as well be pouting or crying, if only she could do the latter but she was anything but happy. Why was everyone in their merry Christmas spirit still? That was stupid, she gave everyone a polite nod and had a plastered smile on her face as she managed to get out of the busy shopping streets and onto the real ones. Moving slowly but surely, her shoulders back and her head held high she continued. One step in front of the other, else she would never reach home. Her home was only a ten-minute walk from the shopping centre but with this amount of people, it surely might take fifteen or twenty. But as soon as she grumbled to herself that time was of essence if she wanted to go home and the like people disappeared. They all went left or right, into other streets and homes and Rowan was mostly alone. A few people scattered here and there but there was no longer any need to zigzag between people.
That's when a few seconds maybe minutes later a car stopped right behind her. It made her stop and turn to look. Mostly because nothing was there to actually stop for right? Unless every parking spot in town was taken, yes, that made a lot of sense. It wouldn't be just anybody sitting in that car, but she wouldn't know the person. She couldn't see through the tinted glasses but she was highly afraid her nightmares were becoming reality. She wasn't sure if she was now just being noisy and should turn around to continue walking or if this car stopped because of her, it wasn't her father's that was for sure. She turned around slowly to take the first few steps to walk away again. All the while telling herself it was a stupid coincidence and it had nothing to do with her or Lady. It would all be fine and the car would be there for someone entirely different.

She was... magnificent; perfectly pale like a polished pearl. Her eyes were golden-green, like a verdent forest wreathed in the finery of the winter months. Her hair was long, straight, dark, perfect in almost every way. An unpolished diamond that burned with an ambient intensity. Sonya could not draw her eyes away; her lips curled into a smile as the window rolled down. The girl hesitated for just a moment but continued walking; obviously she did not believe that the car was stopping for her. So Sonya decided to make her intentions absolutely clear.
"Hold a minute young lady! You, yes you!" Sonya said aloud, the car coming to a complete stop. She tilted her sunglasses down, exposing those brightly glowing pink eyes, swirling with artificial lenses that had to adjust constantly. "...magnificent, absolutely magnificent," Sonya breathed, her artificial eyes flicking up and down to take in every single detail. Hmpfh, if only she weren't so young. Sonya clicked her tongue once but let the feeling slide away; she visualized the girl in a dress, in gowns, in the latest and highest of fashions. Her eyes, her poise, they screamed a level of casual pride that most girls just didn't have in them these days.
"I must know your name, would you tell me?' Sonya asked, "I am Sonya, by the way, I work in the fashion industry;" | TAG WORDS NOTES

No one ever stopped for her and when they did; it would only give her a headache. No, that nightmare was over and Rowan thus decided to continue to walk. She had other things to do, like going home and prepare for everything else that she needed. Maybe a relaxing bath, you know to keep the mind clear... everything! Besides the bags were too heavy to wait for her doom to come upon her. She did not want to bump into the asshole or anyone else for that matter, she wanted to go home and relax. Preferably watch a movie before starting to study for the economics homework that her father had given her. Yay for being the heir. And the only one. It took a few seconds before she realized that the female voice must be from the car that just stopped behind her. She had not looked at it when the window rolled down and thus had not seen the person in the backseat. Which was why when she stopped again and looked over her shoulder, it only made sense that the woman emphasised that it was her.
Magnificent? What was? Her outfit? The jacket was just a simple one for sure, it might have a brand on it, because yes Rowan liked quality but well she was not sure what, though the woman looked her up and down so it couldn't be just her jacket. She blinked in a rapid tempo when the woman asked for her name, but did not refrain from saying her own, fashion industry? But than she must recognize the jacket that Rowan was wearing. "Ehm, I am Sakamoto Rowan." She magaged to say, which was worthwhile. She even managed to blurt out her surname as that was how she got used to it. This was so confusing, what was going on? Was this a prank?

Sonya rapped her knuckle on the control panel, it wasn't enough to see her from this angle. She needed to get out; greet her, even if it did pain her to be exposed to sunlight. The driver got out of his seat and rushed around to the door leading to her seat, opening it with a short bow and stepped aside. Sonya swept her legs out, getting to her feet and letting her hand linger on the roof of the car for a moment; taking in the girl better. She was carrying bags; they looked heavy. Perhaps groceries? She waved aside the sudden stream of questions and instead gave a slight bow. "Sakamoto Rowan, beautiful name, to match a lovely face," She said, admiring those features. Those worried, torn, and confused features. Ah. That was a problem.
"Allow me to clarify, since you seem... unnerved," She offered and placed a hand over her heart. "I am Sonya Chernova, CEO of ASTA Corporation. You may have heard of the clothing my company makes?" She asked before glancing over at her manservant/driver who swallowed once in surprise at her look. "You. Why aren't you helping her with her bags? This is a lady and deserves to be treated with the utmost respect," Ishtar stated sharply.
The man would move over and offer to take on the luggage the girl was carrying. If she complied, then that would be optimal. The big man would step aside and give Sonya at last an offer to shake hands with the young woman. That greeting, a pillar of culture, was one thing that Ishtar simply would be unable to separate herself from. She nodded at the man as he stepped away, whatever the decision the girl made, and looked her in the eyes, a warm smile crossing her face. There was a heartbeat pause before Sonya spoke up again; "Have you eaten?" | TAG WORDS NOTES

Right, not everyone knew her family or thought about her family which was a good thing. Or maybe not at this moment. Rowan did not feel for being famous but she felt for the idea of being protected by a name. Maybe one day she would be protected by the alias of Lady Inferno, but not today. So she gave her own name, unsure what to hide but when she heard the name of the person talking to her, her shoulders dropped a little and her face which had shown concern, now showed surprise. Of course, she had heard about ASTA, she believed her father got the company clothes from there because they seemed well equipped for everybody and he spoke highly of a company that he called normal, that is to say not making fun of quirkers, not making use of them, just giving them what he needed. That is a lot coming from her dad who seemed to have hated quirks but in the last few days, Rowan had learned it had just been fire quirks such as their own and that he even hired personal with mutations because that was the future and he wasn't going to deny that. "You are-, nice to meet you." Where did her education go? Did she suddenly lose the sense of proper talking and the like because someone with such a big company stood in front of her? Stop being so childish, you are eighteen and almost a third year for the hero school, this was not going to work this way.
She looked a little surprised as the instructions for her driver came to take her bags and that the woman called her a lady. A shiver went down her spine, a lady, not lady. She simply bit the inside of her cheek and told herself time and again to let it go, think about her conversation with Ganbaroshi-san. She gave him the bags as he offered and she gave him a polite smile and a thank you before turning back to Sonya and shaking her hand. "Ehm, no, no I was going home to make lunch." She looked shortly at her groceries before turning back to look at Sonya. What would her father say if he knew she was going with strangers, but maybe this brought job opportunities for the hotels? Who know what more they could work on then good uniforms for the people that worked there?

Sonya was very, very well aware of the Sakamoto family name. She'd be a fool not to be. But she also knew better than pinning a young woman with a lot of self esteem with her family name instead of her own name. It was best to allow the girl to feel like she was independent of her family identity. It could very well be true after all; it wasn't Sonya's place to decide her station in life after all. Not yet anyway. Sonya resisted the urge to chuckle when she struggled with her own greeting. That was a surprise. She would have expected someone like her to be able to handle herself. Though given that she was doing her own shopping there was something more in her life than just going to school and being groomed to inherit the family fortune. Sonya watched the girl's face carefully, gauging her reactions.
"And you as well dearie," She offered, watching her manservant load the bags up. They'd be taken care of and the girl would be home soon enough anyway. For now, Sonya had other priorities. She was not going to let this opportunity slide by even if it was a dangerous place to toe about. The Sakamoto family would not take it well if Sonya began to meddle in their family's lives. But at the same time, drawing in a line of connection between ASTA Corporation and Sakamoto Hotels would be invaluable. Then again she really didn't care at all about all that. No. The factual, brutal, honest truth was that Sonya just wanted to have some time to see if she could turn this diamond in the rough into one of the shining stars of the fashion world.
This was real beauty, and Sonya was not going to let it run away. She waved away the suggestion that the girl would be going home to make herself a meal; "Heaven's no, my treat, please, there is something I absolutely must speak with you about; if you will give me some of your time," She gestured to the comfortable interior of her car and waited for Rowan to get inside first. She didn't want to hop in the car herself only for the girl to run away at the moment's distraction. | TAG WORDS NOTES

It was strange, maybe she had dreamed this would have happened before. When she was younger, maybe a year or two when her vanity had hit the ceiling but now she felt like this was a bad idea. She should be more aware and more safe and alert? Everything that happened in the past should have taught her that she shouldn't just randomly accept this, should she text her dad? But who did not know the ASTA CEO? It was hard to believe this was something less than just what the woman said. She felt like it did not help that she thought bad about everything. Stop panicking.
Alright so they took her bags, bye groceries and she was saying that she was going home to make lunch when miss Chernova invited her. She bit the inside of her cheek if she wanted to be a professional, not trusting anyone would not work. So she had to take a bit of time and nodded, "I have time," It was a bit silly that she was not sure how to do this properly. She had talking classes, why is this so ridiculous. What ould they do, nothing really. "Ehm Musutafu has some nice places." But where would you bring such a fancy woman as miss Chernova. She had no idea, there was, of course, the hotel. "Oh we have a nice fancy restaurant in the hotel on the west side of Musutafu." Lucky that she studied what was special about every hotel.

Sonya kept a close eye on the expressions that flitted across Rowan's face before she finally got into the car. The girl was incredibly emotive, her eyes brightened, her face darkened, her smile rose and fell. She was not the type to keep a placid, emotionless, hapless, expression. That was good. So very good. She slid into the seat to the right of Rowan and the door was shut for her. Sonya crossed her legs, long silver hair coiling on her shoulder before spilling out like a river. Her glowing pink eyes fell on the girl to her left. A diamond in the rough indeed. She gave a glamorous smile.
"Oh I have just the place in mind, actually... if you'll indulge me," She said, nodding to the driver. "Take us to the Plateau, Dear," The driver nodded and mumbled a 'Yes Miss Chernova' before revving the engine and taking them away from that stretch of sidewalk.
The Plateau was a restaurant that catered to the fashion industry. An elegant location set in the upper level of a high-end department store. The store had recently begun carrying ASTA Corporation made fashion products though the selection was still limited. There was enough of a presence to justify Sonya being an on and off visitor to the restaurant. But there was more reason than just showing off to the girl; Sonya wanted to show off to her peers in the industry. 'Look at this beautiful creature, I found her first.' Sonya restrained her smile, focusing on the girl to her left.
"I'm sure you've already heard of the Plateau so I won't bore you with repeating details," Sonya said, waving a hand and recrossed her legs, "Tell me, have you ever thought about being a model?" Sonya asked, leaning a bit so she can get a better look at Rowan. | TAG WORDS NOTES

She felt like she was betraying herself with just stepping into a car. She needed to take a moment to be able to breathe normally. She held her breath and tried to take small sips of air through her mouth and out through her nose as her black-out brain tried to realize what happened before in a fancy car. She was okay though, nothing was happening, but no one was waiting for her what if, no. She almost rolled her eyes to herself but she managed to not do that either. She nodded though, the plateau? Oh, oh wow this was interesting, surely she had managed to not freak out or be too excited but she was trying to be the perfect representation that a rich girl should show off or something like that was what her mother had told her. The perfect poise, her mother had always said that Rowan was a natural in that, so it might work enough anyway.
She wanted to see the plateau but it was quite a bit away from her so she never really gone there. She had enough other things to do when it came to that point. She nodded with a happy smile that she knew what Sonya ehm no Miss Chernova was talking about so that worked. "A-a model?" God, girls had dreams and she gave a half nod, shrug, "I would lie if I say no but it's not something that recently crossed my mind anymore." Did not every girl walk a fashion show for their family, mostly her mother even though Helena had gone with her through all the shops. Her father had at those points never showed much interests but the maids did and clapped and she remembered that moment, when everything was so much easier than it now seemed to be. But she held her head high. She would manage.

The car made its way into town, coming to a stop at an intersection and beginning to turn as Rowan spoke. There was a brief moment, as Rowan spoke wistfully, that she could have seen the danger in the distance; that she could have sensed it, in those cold, glowing, hungry eyes burning in her direction when a bit of shade fell over the car and Sonya's true visage was shown. But the shade went as soon as it came and Sonya was once again the pleasant and startlingly friendly businesswoman. She crossed her legs once and regarded the beautiful girl sitting with her. She tilted her head and nodded, an expression of understanding on her face.
"It's a dream all girls have once in their lives, no doubt," She said as the driver made another turn, taking them closer to their destination. She rested her hands in her lap and smiled, her shoulders relaxed. The car took one more turn and began to slow to a stop. Sonya turned to Rowan again; "What if you had the chance to achieve that dream?" She said, getting out of the car as her driver opened the door. He threw a coat over her shoulders and she slipped a pair of massive fashion sunglasses over her sensitive eyes and offered her arm to Rowan. "You have that look, that air about you that cannot be learned, dearie. You deserve to be in the business. The world owes it to you to admire you," She said whistfully, and nodded towards the large building before them.

Rowan did miss the moment that Sonya stared at her. She did not like this idea and thought for a second texting her dad or someone else. Maybe her father wouldn't be a good idea, she should also not randomly text Igarashi-sensei but she had no idea who else. She would have to see but she would also stay strong, she could do this. If she wanted to be a hero, she would have to have trust in people and she had seen Sonya Chernova before, or well not her personally but the ASTA company was well known and she knew her dad did business with it. She nodded, "I wouldn't be surprised." She said, a little less ashamed of her dream to be a model, yes, every girl probably would want to be one. To be found beautiful and so on. She made a squeaky sound when Sonya turned to her and asked if she wanted to make that dream come true, "Oh ehm." she climbed out of the car after Sonya did and took her arm a little hesitant. She had not really been able to answer and the squeak was embarrassing as hell but she listened to the woman explain it to her. "I-I would love to." She mumbled and she followed her to the building, aaah she had always wanted to come here.
She nodded, a little less hesitant and a little more enthusiastic now that she was invited to come and talk and now that she knew what Sonya wanted to tell her. She looked around when they entered the Plateau, she did not come here before obviously but that meant she would be slightly distracted by looking around now. Ah this was a wonderful place, she wished she could do more about it, she wanted to learn more about it and obviously about what Sonya had to tell her, seriously? She had the right air?

Honeyed words, tempered with the bitter salt of effort. Just alluring enough; just impactful enough; to lure the poor girl in. That's all it would take, that's all that it would involve. Sonya had spent her life toying with hearts, she'd mastered the art of the sale, the pitch, and the devils deal. It was no surprise to her that with a trembling voice the girl consented to being drawn further into Sonya's web. And why wouldn't she? A sales pitch with only good was no sales pitch at all. 'A Chance' 'An Opportunity' 'A foot in the door' it was not a promise of success, Sonya expected the girl to work hard, but she was giving the girl the chance of a lifetime. That was what made a good sales pitch.
The other denizens of the Plateau turned and regarded her. A few shot disdainful glances at Sonya, not a surprise. Cross and belligerent there were still some that resented her rise to power. With its blue marble walls, carpeted floors, golden accents and elegant tapestries it was a place of wealth and privilege. Sonya crossed her arms behind her back and strode through the main anteroom, inclining her head to the man at the counter. "I'll be taking a seat upstairs with my young friend, dearie," Sonya said, gesturing to Rowan. She made sure to use just a bit (only a bit) more volume than her normal speaking voice. She drew all eyes with her glowing body towards the young woman of the hour. Her white teeth glimmered.
"Rowan dear, if you please; you have to sign the guest log. It's tradition," She said, gesturing to a small book next to the registration desk. All eyes were now on Rowan. Jealousy, awe, delight, curiosity, anger, confusion, a blending of emotions burst across the floor and spread like wildfire. There was one concert agreement among them though; she was a perfect fit for the industry. No question. They were more angry that this upstart, Chernova, got to her first. | TAG WORDS NOTES

The colours fitted so well together, the tapestries, the floor, the marble walls everything. Obviously the Plateau known for its wealthy guest, its influence and spots on fashion and so on, knew exactly what it was doing in decoration. She might look curiously around but her body language was still that of her normal attitude. She was raised in a wealthy family, you could see that in her walk. Her statue and demeanor might not be known without her parents around, her name might ring more fame but at this point Sonya had not said it. Rowan had looked at the people that stared at her. She knew that Chernova hasn't been on the top of the list for that long yet, it was a hard business but if she looked at the woman, it seemed that she was always working and always knew how to work well in situations. It was rather inspiring. Her name might ring a bell to some people as Sonya called her out and she quickly took the steps to the counter and she smiled at the woman next to her, "Of course." Signing her name in the guest book of the Plateau, that was a hype thing to do! But she had to keep her demeanor, especially if people were watching. She would dare to be more excited when she was in a room with Sonya but not when so many were watching. She took the pencil carefully, wrote in a very dashing handwriting Sakamoto Rowan and the date and time that she was here. She was sure her parents were not registered here, her mother might be in the guest log somewhere before. She should still text her parents.
She heaved her chin a little to look at Sonya, stating she was ready and handed the pencil back to the clerk. God she felt nervous now all of a sudden but her eyes were the only thing that betrayed that feeling.

Sonya watched the girl carefully, keeping her own expression neutral as she lead her into the depths of the building. The man that attended the front desk bowed silently, inclining his head to both Rowan and Sonya as they went by. It was an oddly somber atmosphere as they entered; the juxtaposition of wealth with serenity made the air feel stiff in places. Few spoke in much more than hushed tones as they made their way to a stairwell that lead up and into the actual 'restaraunt' part of the plateau. The stairs were lined with a silken carpet; the rails were a glossy dark wood. The CEO, glowing with that faint aura stepped on the first red lined step and turned. She reached out and offered her hand to the girl, a serene and confident look on her face; "Come with me?" She said, looking down at Rowan.
Whether or not the girl took her hand, she continued onward and upward. "They're all looking at you..." Sonya said under her breath, a smile on her face. "Admiring you. They see in you what I see," She said, flicking her eyes to the right to watch the girl's expression. "Don't run from the feeling that gives you. There's a thrill to being admired, isn't there. Like an enigmatic and untouchable flame burning bright at the center of a darkened room. Beauty incarnate," She mused, stopping at the last step and turning to her. She nodded her head back down the stairwell; "Glance down dear... look at their eyes..." All of them were fixed on the two beauties that stood at the top of the stairs. They hid behind food, drink, and newspaper, but it was plain. Rowan was admired.
Sonya smiled at her; "You deserve this," She whispered again and then made her way toward a pair of doors that separated them from their seating. | TAG WORDS NOTES
