Hm, the last Christmas shopping things, she could maybe pull that off. It would work perfectly if only she knew what to get for everyone. She felt a little lost in the big shopping centre and she was just walking around a bit aimlessly. She looked in front of the pet shop and wondered if she should buy something like maybe little snacks for Zuzu. Hm, it would be nice to not have to do the shopping alone and she wished she felt better. The movies yesterday were not that bad if you looked at the whole general idea of the picture. But she wasn't so general about the rest. She wasn't so sure what to say or think about it. She sighed a little more and tried to continue, at least she did not need gloves today, she would definitely need to work out the issue with her hands, but if blizzards did not work and nothing else that was what she had to give up on. She had to think bout it a lot, she, for example, had wanted to put her hands in her pocket but quickly refused from doing so.
Rowan kicked the snow around, you would expect that she would have found something by now. It was good that Japan did not close its stores in the morning. She might be able to find something. For her mother, she got a necklace but she wasn't sure what to buy her father, men were so difficult and it was cold and she hated the cold and she hated herself and everything today. She thought of potential things, a pen with his name on it, did he need a new watch or something else. She kicked herself mentally and looked at the puppies in the windowsill and wondered what she should do to continue. Maybe buy another... another what, she wasn't even sure what her father already had.

Sean really did not like the cold. He was a fan of cool, warm was great too, and hot was fine. But cold? No way! Even if he no longer had to worry about his quirk freezing up his body with overuse, Sean just did not like the cold all too much. He could not stand the shivering. And not being able to go outside shirtless like he preferred to do was a massive bummer as well. Why was the cold so bad?
But still, as much as the boy disliked the cold, he would have to bear it. After all, Christmas was quickly approaching, and Sean had a few last-minute gifts to buy. He had already bought presents for his mom and most of his friends. But still, he wanted to get them all as much as he could. And then there was Rowan, who Sean still had no idea just what it was he should get her. Sean smiled. Just thinking about her was enough to put him in a cheerful mood. Hmm, what could be the reason for that? Fortunately, Sean was no longer the completely oblivious dummy that he once was. He knew that he thought about her far more than anyone else nowadays, and just thinking of that day in the hospital (which Sean would find himself doing very often) made him blush. Rowan was definitely more than just a friend.
But speaking of Rowan, Sean's eyes widened as he noticed her walking. His eyes immediately widened, his heart beating faster, and his smile widening even more. On the one hand, it did suck to run into her before getting to buy her a gift. Now that surprise could not happen. But on the other hand, who cares, Rowan is here! With a cheerful smile and wave, Sean went over to her and greeted her. "Yo! It's good to see you! How's it going?"
Christmas shopping could wait. Right now, Sean was far more interested in seeing Rowan.

Ha, she could buy her father a puppy and secretly kidnap it herself. Not that Zuzu would agree with that probably nor her father. She shivered a little while she stood there in front of the pet shop, even if she should not buy a little puppy, the idea of buying snacks and maybe a little Christmas jumper for her cat had been tempting. But she promised to not smack all her money across cash registers again as she had done when she first bought Zuzu. He had been a skinny black kitten at that time and was now a lazy fat black cat but she loved him. She loved how he took care of her when the nightmares appeared and all. She must have had some snacks left but buying cat-approved candy canes was just a funny thing to consider.
Rowan dropped her head a little, disappointed in herself for not being able to find anything. What if he would dislike her again, she was a shitty daughter. He had given her a chance and now she could not even find him a Christmas gift. Bleh. She started walking again, her eyes half plastered to the windows of the shops and half looking at the people in front of her as she should not bump into someone. Until she noticed someone that she knew within the crowd. Surely before she had not really paid attention, there might be more, Musutafu's shopping centre was the closest for the U.A. kids after all but yes, well Sean stood out, in a good sense. She stopped walking and quickly brushed her black bangs away from her eyes as she looked up hopeful at Sean. But he did seem to look happy to see her, boy had she missed that smile every time he wasn't there in class. She had noticed that. Right, this wasn't going to be more confusing than it was before though and she was blushing a little when she heard him say it was good to see her and suddenly reminded herself what she had done last time they saw each other. "H-hi." He asked you a question, Rowan, answer it! "It's nice to see you too." She quickly blurted out, this was getting worse by the minute, good job. "Ehm, I am good, cold but good." She tried to be a little sassy, "I try to find a gift for my father, but it's not really going well." She confessed because she did not want the conversation to die down with her response so she did this, "Oh I mean how are you? Everything going alright? No pain? No ehm youknow." Issues, quirkless, stuff, headaches, memories haunting him, she did not dare to say it all out loud.

Sean smiled cheerfully. It was good to hear that Rowan was doing good. "Same here. Cold is annoying, but it'll take more than that to keep me away." He listened as Rowan explained that she was not having much luck finding a gift for her father. "Aw, that's a shame. I could try to help you out with that if you want?" Sean was not exactly the best at ideas for gifts. Still, he would be more than happy to help if Rowan wanted his assistance.
I wonder what dads like for gifts? A shame Sean could not ask his own father, because... well he was not a very good man for one thing. Plus, he wasn't here in Japan, and Sean hoped that it stayed that way. Sean was glad that Rowan didn't have a father who was a complete... okay, now was not the time for such negative thoughts. No sad vibes!
Getting back to the conversation, Sean nodded upon hearing Rowan's question. "Yep, I'm all good!" Sean was slow to pick up on what exactly Rowan was referring to, but he thankfully did pick up on it. He was not a lost cause just yet! "Nothing weird going on after I left the hospital. Unless you count random dreams I've been having for the past couple of nights, but I'm not sure they have anything to do with what happened. But the dreams themselves are nothing to worry about. No nightmares or anything." They were just the usual dreams. Dreams of Sean surfing. Dreams of the boy being back at UA. Dreams of Rowan. Actually, there were lots of dreams of the latter. But was it a good idea to bring that up right now? Unless Rowan was curious enough to ask about the dreams, Sean would not feel the need to press on.
"So yeah, I was just gonna finish up my Christmas shopping. I still have some people to buy gifts for." He did not want to tell Rowan she was one of those people. It would be nice to surprise her. But he was not exactly the best at being subtle. "But enough about me, how are you, Rowan? Anything new with you?" Sean was always interested in listening to what she had to say. Was she doing fine? Was anything bothering her? He would be happy to listen to her chat.
Sean then had an idea, one that made him glad that his scarf hid his face so that Rowan wouldn't notice the blushing too easily. "So hey... if you want, maybe we could go shopping together while we're both here? Hang out and go wherever you want?" Again, the boy was many things. But subtle? Not really one of them.

How often had she thought about it? Sean's smile? It was always so happy and motivating and it had always been next to her. She had taken it for granted until it was gone and now it was back and she wasn't even sure what feeling it was in the pit of her stomach every time she saw it. She gave a soft laugh when Sean said the cold wasn't strong enough to keep him away. "That's good." Because it was and it was nice he was here and she explained she was trying to find a present for her father. "You do not mind? I am sure you had your own things to do." She looked around to see if Umi was here but it seemed Sean was alone and suddenly she felt embarrassed. She really wanted to spend time with Sean, was that weird? She had to ask how he was doing though, it was a polite thing to do and well to be fair she was also rather curious.
She nodded, "No dreams about mermaids anymore I hope?" Oh just shut up, she was still embarrassed he said she had her face and well that was just coincidence because she had talked to him at that point right. "Should we first get a drink somewhere? It's probably better than staying outside in the cold." Oh look at that, it was smooth. But she did not understand why she thought that she was so confused about these feelings. All those romcoms she watched, would now indicate she liked Sean, but she had simply missed him, right? That was the case. But then why had she kissed him? Even if it was on the cheek it had not been something she had done every day to any other person or so. She was glad to hear though that he had no nightmares, she did and she wasn't sure how long they would continue. It had not entirely helped her talk with Ganbaroshi-san, she swore Lady was out there and that she was watching her. Did that mean Sean would be in danger?
Oooh he was here for Christmas gifts too and she wanted to say it, but she did not know how to say it. They could spend time together, she blushed a little thinking about the idea. "Oh, well I am taking extra economy classes but its rather dull. My father wants me to prepare for taking duties at the hotels but I still have to prepare for the exams and potential sports festival again, I don't know what they do but I am sure it will happen, I mean something." She absentmindedly pulled her earring because she wasn't sure if she should tell Sean her issues about her quirk. He knew them before, her fear of the water and so on, but he had his own issues. She looked up though when he suggested to go shopping together, "I really like that idea." She muttered, also hiding the lower part of her face in a scarf. "Let's first warm up, maybe we can help with suggestions before going out into the cold again." She looked around for a cafe, she knew exactly where they were but her brain was a mess at this point.

"Nah, I don't mind. Plus, I'm here buying gifts anyway, so we could go together for twice the efficiency!" Well in truth, Sean cared little for efficiency. He just wanted to spend time with Rowan. But of course, he was willing to help her out with getting gifts. Not that he was any good at it, but Sean just could not refuse to offer someone help if they needed it.
"Uhh..." Sean did his best to hide his reaction to hearing Rowan ask about his dreams. But even with the scarf covering his blush, the boy's reaction said it all. "Ehehe." Perhaps now was not the time to bring up the fact that out of all the mermaid dreams he had recently, all of the mermaids were Rowan. Gee, just why was that the case? Thankfully, Sean would not have to tread on that subject for long. "Yeah, you're right. It's way too cold! I'm up for drinks. And I can pay for you if you want. My treat." Because even Sean was not that stupid to forget to offer to pay. He may not necessarily be the best gentleman, but at least he tried his best.
"Oh nice!" Sean listened as Rowan talked about taking classes, her dad wanting her to take duties at their hotels, and her studying for exams and getting ready for the next sports festival. "I wish I could say I was making preparations like those, but I'm still trying to figure things out. I realized in hindsight that my old mentality of just living life at the moment and not worrying about the future until it comes might not have been the best approach."
Sean smiled when Rowan said she liked his idea. He was so looking forward to having a fun time. But she was right. It was probably best to get out of the cold first and warm up somewhere. "Sounds good!" Sean began to look around as well. There was a cafe nearby, that he knew. But he wasn't sure on where exactly. Oh well, he would just follow Rowan and get there in no time. So no worries!
As the two walked, Sean would not notice due to his obliviousness and him focusing too much on getting out of the cold and on what he would buy once he and Rowan got to the cafe. But as he walked besides Rowan, his hand would instinctively move closer to Rowan's. Not enough to actually touch it, but it was very close. But before anything could happen with that, Sean finally noticed the cafe. "Ah, there it is!" He wanted to just run inside, but there was no way he could leave Rowan behind. That would just be rude!
But now that the two were here, Sean could not decide what he wanted. Coffee, hot chocolate, tea, he was up for anything hot. Anything that could make the shivering go away. Anything that could make him feel all warm inside the way he did whenever Rowan came into his thoughts. Speaking of Rowan, Sean just decided to order whatever she planned to get for herself.

"Oh, yes, that sounds efficient and what a coincidence we are both doing the same thing." She smiled a little, it was nice to know that she could spend time with Sean without ruining his time or day or whatever it is you all could destroy. Don't think like that, she harshly told herself. She was rather happy to get some influence on what to buy for her father, this year it had to be something really good and the time was ticking! When they talked she asked about his dream and as he hesitated and blushed, she covered her own eyes but peaked through, "I am sorry." She lowered them and blushed as well, "It was a joke, it's okay to do so. Just as long as you wake up." The last sounded pathetic, why would she say that! So she quickly made up for inviting him for a drink, yes that would be better, no hesitation on idiot matters or speeches or things she could say or think or mermaids! Her head was in a complete jumble of what she wanted and she brushed her hair away from her eyes to look shyly at Sean, but he accepted the invitation eagerly which made her happy.
She blushed a little and looked away when he said he could pay if she wanted, would that mean as a sort of... as a sort of... date? If it was possible for steam to come off the top of her head, it would do so now, it was luckily not possible. "S-sure." Wait, no, that was unfair! He shouldn't get his hopes up, she... but.. eh... She simply nodded to only point out the decision for herself than noticing it and remained standing. They should find a place to go then, but as Sean asked her how she was doing, she had to answer that and her feet were not moving. "It might not be, but maybe it's the happiest approach for the moment. I worry so much about the future and if I made the right decision that I barely enjoy moments." Moments.. no that wasn't vague at all, "Eeehm moments like this I mean." Shopping... with someone. Rowan really needed to go back to Ganbaroshi-san's class, how long did she consider that again, but she did not want to see the counsellor without any good information about herself, though she liked seeing Sean, a lot. She wanted to ask him something but he was first and she was glad to hear that they should shop together and thus now first get a drink and after that continue.
Rowan followed, though more so she walked besides Sean and she looked up at him as he seemed to focus on where the cafe was, they walked rather close? And she wondered while she tilted her head and looked at their hands if she would want to hold his hand. Before she could accidentally but on purpose bump her hand against his, she had just missed the timing as he found the cafe and she quickly pulled her hand back. Ah good! Time to warm up! She would quickly get there and go inside, there was a fireplace and it was cosy and nicely warm inside. She immediately felt it and wandered with her eyes over the menu, "Hm, anything warm would do." She mumbled to herself before eventually ordering a hot chocolate and a blueberry muffin. When she finished she looked up surprised, "Oh ehm, want to share?" It was just a snack next to the amount of hot chocolate but she had ordered and forgotten he would pay because he offered and she accepted, she should have asked.

Sean could not help but chuckle at Rowan's joke. Despite the coma happening and everything that came with that, Sean was not offended by jokes made from that. Well in truth, it was very difficult to offend someone like Sean. He was too carefree and easygoing. "Yeah, no worries there. I'll definitely wake up, no matter what kind of dream tries to keep me under." Because while mermaids were neat and mermaid Rowan was amazing, neither held a candle to the real Rowan. Sean almost said this aloud, but stopped himself before doing so. He did not need to blush any more than he already had.
He listened as Rowan spoke. He could see her point. Living life in the moment, and just having fun while not worrying about what the future had to bring. In hindsight, this mentality had its flaws. But at the same time, worrying about the future and being too stressed out from that just didn't sound very pleasant. There had to be a way to somehow pull off doing both at once. Keeping the future in mind, but also having fun with life and not stressing out. "I wish I knew how to do both, but without any of the downsides of either. But I have no idea how to pull it off. At least not by myself. But hey, no one said anything about needing to do things alone, right?"
Yes, that was what family, friends, loved ones, people important in one's life were for. Sean did not have to think about the future alone. And Rowan would not have to worry about the worries that the future brings by herself. Sean was more than happy to lend a hand to help her out with that. He wanted to help make sure that she would not have to deal with too many stressful moments alone. And speaking of moments, Sean smiled. He wanted to have more moments like these with Rowan. Happy, fun, and memorable moments that would help her forget about any of the troubles she faced. Or at least make those troubles easier to handle.
The two were now in the cafe, where it was thankfully so much warmer compared to outside. And speaking of, Sean smiled when Rowan decided to get hot chocolate. A wonderful pick! He would of course get the same. She also got a blueberry muffin, which sounded really good too. Just as Sean was about to wish that he had got one for himself, Rowan offered to share. "Sweet! That'd be awesome, Rowan. Thanks!" After the two got their food and drinks, and resisting the urge to imagine the thought of Rowan feeding him (stop thinking things like that, Sean, come on!), Sean walked with Rowan to the nearest table, one close to the cozy fireplace.
"Ah, this is wonderful!" Sean cheerfully smiled as he sipped his hot chocolate, being careful not to sip too much to avoid burning himself again. The boy very much enjoyed the heat. Far better than the freezing cold that made him shiver so uncomfortably. But now that the two were here, what could they talk about? Well Sean was up for anything. Plans for Christmas shopping, what to do once winter was finally over, anything Rowan wanted to talk about. Heck, the two could just sit there eating their food in peace, and Sean would be okay with that. He was up for pretty much anything.

She blushed a little, "I like that." She mumbled, loud enough and yet obvious that she wasn't so sure if she should have said that or not. The thing was that she really liked to hang out with Sean, it was just that right? Everything was so confusing and she wasn't sure of anything really. She blushed, even more, the longer she thought about it and quickly jumped onto the next subject, that ended up making her think again that she wished that once in a while she could live in the moment instead of always worry about the future. She thought about it, there should be a perfect combination if they managed to push each other in the right- gooosh, what was she thinking. It wasn't as if she would have an influence on Sean's life and make him wonder about his future while he could distract her long enough to only think about the now. "Right, I mean, who knows, seems like we are the exact opposite from each other in that sense. Who knows we can help each other." Thank you, smartass, that's exactly the opposite of what she just thought to herself and yet she said it out loud, could she not stop? She smiled though as she looked at Sean and quickly realized she was doing that, so she looked away.
But to be honest to herself, it was working. She had not thought about the hotel, school or anything that much at this moment. Maybe it had to do with the stress of buying Christmas presents but it was just, just this, she needed to focus and god he was ama- nothing. Focus. So she suggested a cafe around the corner as the cold did not work well with either of them and this worked as they would be inside soon and she ordered and forgot that Sean would pay and apologized for the muffin and offered to share it. She looked surprised that they got a seat near the fireplace. Ah it was so nice crispy warm here, she would never want to leave. She smiled at Sean happily that they managed to get this place and she looked at the plate and wrapped her hands around the mug of hot chocolate.
"Is it okay to ask what you want to do for your future? Sort of to say, thinking about the future without worrying about it?" She said with a soft laugh, she was actually curious. You did not wake up every day to not be able to jump back in your normal life but Sean couldn't return to U.A. so what was his plan now, she really wanted to know, actually... She wanted to know everything about Sean. He had always sat next to her in class and though they talked before, it wasn't like she knew much about him. She suddenly blushed a lot when she remembered he was the guy who first hugged her, like ever. Surely the half attempts of her mother had been there but she had pushed those away as a child, stupid thought go away!

While Sean was typically not the most observant person around (usually very far from it), his recent tendency of taking glimpses of Rowan meant that he was able to catch her little blush. That in turn made Sean blush a bit as well. Why was she so pretty? Not that she wasn't before, but it was like once he had noticed, there was no way to unnotice it. So he would keep on staring. At least for as long as he thought he could get away with doing so unnoticed.
Sean smiled. He had to resist the urge to say something about opposites attracting. Thankfully, the boy was not that dense. "Yeah! I'd be more than happy to help you out." Perhaps before the coma, Sean would have said 'After all, that's what friends are for!' or something stupid like that. It was good to see that his brain injury was only limited to that part that had once controlled the function of his quirk. He was salvageable after all! "And I'd be more than grateful for any help you could give me." It was the least he could do. Even with losing his quirk, the boy at the very least did not lose his passion and drive to help out others. Plus, this was Rowan! How could he say no to her?
Hearing Rowan's question, Sean began to think hard on it. "Hmm, nothing concrete yet, but I have an idea. It's probably crazy, but eh, what do I got to lose?" He shrugged before continuing. "I thought a lot about what I wanted to do before the coma. My dream was pretty simple. To become a hero. A great one that mom could be proud of. One that could protect her should... a certain somebody ever come back. Ah, but don't worry about that last part. It's a story I don't mind sharing, but maybe another time."
For a moment, Sean's smile dropped. That always happened whenever he thought about him. But forget that for now! Focus on the cheerful vibes! So with a smile, Sean continued. "Anyway, even with the coma, my dream hasn't changed. I still want to be a hero, even if it's not a pro hero. I just want to do some kind of good in the world, even if that no longer involves saving people or stopping bad guys."
But how to actually do that? Sean did think about that. "At first, my idea was to join the police. After all, cops are heroes too in a sense. But after suggesting that to mom, she started to tear up. It then hit me that being an officer isn't exactly the safest route, especially considering the villains with quirks running around nowadays. I get it though. She's just worried about me. She doesn't want me ending up in the hospital again. I can't blame her for instantly snuffing out that idea."
Sean sighed. "Also considered being a firefighter, but that has similar problems. Too dangerous. I just wanted to find a way of helping people, but also not making people worry about me. So I got to thinking, what's something I could do that's both safe and still beneficial to others?"
The boy then smiled, excitement being written all over his face. "And that's when it hit me. Money! If I had money, I'd be able to do good things with it! I could donate it to charities and orphanages, helping people out that way! The homeless, the starving, the orphans, I could pretty much help out everyone if I were rich! That way, I could be a hero, but also not do anything to endanger my life. It's brilliant!"
And then Sean chuckled nervously. "Only problem is, money doesn't grow on trees. At least, I haven't seen a quirk that could do that. So I'll just need to find the fastest way to get money. I'll probably get a well-paying job or several, and then use every single yen I earn to help benefit others! And by spending literally everything on others, I don't get corrupted by greed!"
Sean then looked at Rowan. "It's definitely still a work in progress, but it's something. I just need to think on how to get started, and how to actually become rich. Anyway, what do you think, Rowan?" It was certainly a crazy plan. But who knew, maybe with a bit of refinement and planning, that crazy idea might just work! Maybe! Hopefully!

She could not imagine again to deal with life without Sean, wasn't that weird? I mean they had been just classmates, but what an effect he had on her days previously. She thought about that training session in the virtual reality world and she blushed a little more. She would never forget that hug, that's for sure. She gave him a happy smile though as he said he would help her. She was sort of convinced that it was Sean who would help her relax and enjoy the moment instead of focus on her future and so on. She gave him a smile and nodded, she would see what she could do, she doubt that there be much but who knew. She wrapped her hands around her mug, she felt like it was bad to ask him about his future now that it had changed so much. She bit her lip and chewed softly on it when he questioned what he got to lose and she was afraid he would be reckless, missing the point again but she looked at him while he talked. She did not listen and it took her a few seconds to realize that and she had to tell herself to listen but she was looking at his mimic, his body language but mostly his face. Maybe another time she would ask him what he meant with a certain somebody. Her brain thinking it was definitely worth to try and protect Umi. She might take that ro- calm down Rowan! She simply nodded and hoped she had not missed too much of what he said before.
She almost extended her hand to hold his as his smile dropped but she hesitated and quickly took a napkin and put it next to the half muffin and pretend that was always her goal. She felt so stupid. She nodded, and she nodded again when he spoke about the police. Yea, she could see him there. He had the right training. She turned a little pale when he told her what Umi thought and she imagined it herself and shivered. Nope, she agreed, too dangerous. She had almost wanted to say that it was a good idea but she prefered another idea for sure. She wanted to protect him from all that, which was a strange thing considering she did not use her quirk at this point either. She had used it and she would continue to work on it but that did not mean that it was not weird to consider she could be protective with a fire quirk.
She liked the idea of firefighter a little more. But she leaned on her hand and looked at him, again wanting to extend her own to hold his hand but she did not do that again. She smiled though when he looked excited. She crumbled up her face a little when he said money. She had money, but that did not make her dad a hero nor herself but she would see what he would do. But the way he explained, she thought she could do maybe something for him. "I like it." Was the simplest thing she said, she wasn't sure if it was possible, but what she knew was that Sean would be the right person to try it out and she wanted to take his example and relax about it. It was still worth a try, "I could maybe ask my father if you could join my economy classes. He is prepping me to take over the hotel so you could learn how to be good with money which is very useful if you want to earn a lot and spend a lot." It was the smallest thing she could offer.

For a moment, Sean's eyes were looking at Rowan's hand, though the oblivious boy failed to understand what her movements had meant. For a moment, he wanted to just reach out and hold her hand, but now was not the time to think about that! As Sean talked about his plan, he was unsure of whether or not it seemed feasible to pull off. Certainly he would do his best and try. But he wanted to hear Rowan's input. Did she like it? Fortunately, she said she did! Sean cheerfully smiled. If Rowan was fine with the plan, then it had to be a good one!
Sean's eyes widened upon hearing Rowan's words. Could she really do that? That would be super awesome! Speaking of awesome, she was apparently being prepped to someday take over the hotel from her dad. How cool was that? Having your own hotel to run. Sean then began thinking. Wait. What kind of business do I want to run? Hmm... But before getting too in depth with that, he spoke. Wouldn't want for Rowan to think she was being ignored. Definitely not the case. Who would even want to ever do that?! "That would be amazing! Thanks, Rowan!" Any classes that could help the boy with his dream were definitely classes worth taking. "Sign me up!"
But back to his earlier thought. Perhaps he could ask Rowan for advice. After all, she was not dense like the boy was. Far from it, in fact! "Hey, I actually got a question though." As he began to think, he found himself staring at Rowan's face. Her eyes. Her hair. Her lips. Okay, maybe it was best to not do that, being all obvious and looking more like a dumbass. Blushing, Sean looked away a bit, hoping Rowan did not notice. That plan was hardly likely to actually work. "So I was thinking. Just what kind of business should I someday make? But I have no ideas. I'm honestly stumped." Or maybe he just was not using his brain enough.
Still, if Rowan had any ideas, Sean was definitely all ears. As he took another sip of his hot chocolate, he eagerly awaited a response. Not just because Rowan would undoubtedly offer some great suggestions that would really help out, but he could listen to more of that lovely voice of hers. It was pretty soothing. Okay, time to stop acting stupid before she notices if she didn't already! "Got any ideas, Rowan?"

Even though Umi had made good points, wasn't this about what Sean wanted and maybe he would be good as a firefighter or a police officer... But the longer she thought about it the more she became afraid it was to make up for the lack of his quirk and it would every day tell him that he lost it. It was maybe better to do something else indeed and she wanted him to not forget that he could do whatever he wanted, though that wasn't true. There was the issue of money and she felt the shivers going down her spine. She had learned only not too long ago that her upbringing was a privilege that she ruined or that she let be ruined, it was going better now. She plucked from the napkin that she had put over her muffin and looked away from Sean. She was sure she had said something stupid. It was maybe that by ruining his ideas, that he still was a little down, she should have taken his hand and she looked for his hands before looking up as he spoke and she blushed again a little. She grinned at him when he thanked her and said to sign him up, now she could do that for sure. She could text her father in a bit but at the moment she only had attention for Sean.
She thought about it and her eyes looked up to find his again when he had a question. She was afraid she would say something stupid again but her eyes could not leave his, as she wondered what he would say. She bit her lip as she drifted off in her thoughts, she should buy him a Christmas present too! She looked away because of that thought, oblivious that Sean looked away too. She listened to his question though and thought about it, hm, that was a good one. Wait? Was he asking her for suggestions? "Hm, there are lots of ways to get money depending on the business but you don't strike me as a person that want to sit behind a desk all day. You could maybe try to work at the reception at one of the hotels, it would give you still human interaction." Was it stupid to say that? But she imagined he needed social contacts, who else would see that smile? She wanted to see it every day, okay stop being selfish.
"Ehm," She looked at the table and at her muffin that they split and she turned her head a little to the right as she looked at it, "Well if you like cooking, you could maybe start a restaurant, imagine all the food you could donate to the poor and the orphanages can have great meals if you have something left over and besides good food makes people happy, that is if you like cooking though." Again lost in ideas that she should have first said without plunging in with too many ideas, sometimes she was so silly, that was going to be a tough job with her work in the future.

Thinking about this was hard. Well, thinking about anything was usually hard for Sean. Perhaps that was why he was so dense and hardly ever thought much about anything. But times are changing. Sean was no longer as dense and naive as he once was. It was time to think for more than just the moment. He needed to think about the future as well. Still, if there was one thing to praise the boy for, it was that no matter how hard something was, Sean would be too stubborn to ever give up. So even if he did not yet know how to reach his dream, he at least had a dream to chase after. And no matter what, Sean would never stop running towards that dream.
Of course, Rowan was giving advice as well, and Sean greatly appreciated all the help he could get. So naturally he would give her all the attention he could. "Yeah, that's definitely true." Sitting behind a desk felt so boring. It didn't really have that human interaction the boy liked. It was always fun and engaging to talk to others. Plus, he wanted to help people, and it would be nice to see the smiles on their faces for himself. How could he do so if he just sat behind a desk all day? That did not sound very fun to him. "Ooh, awesome idea!" Reception sounded way better, as Sean could actually greet and chat with people that way. How was Rowan so brilliant! So wise! So beauti- Okay, stop that!
And then as Rowan spoke more, Sean was stunned into silence. "Oh. Oh dang! Rowan..." The boy's eyes widened with shock. "Rowan, that's GENIUS!" Sean could not help but raise his voice unintentionally. That and suddenly hug Rowan from the excitement. Whoops! There were probably people looking over in his direction right now. But honestly? Sean couldn't care less. He was way too excited right now. Plus, his focus and attention was on Rowan. Right now, nobody else really mattered. Still, he would try to control himself. And that started by letting go of Rowan before things got any more awkward. "Eh, sorry. But holy crud, that's an awesome idea! A restaurant! How did I not think of that! I know I always love a good meal. Who doesn't? So I could learn how to make amazing food, and not only cook for the people I love and care about, but for everyone else too!"
Sean could imagine it now. His own restaurant. People from all over would come in and enjoy a delicious meal. The place would make tons of money, and after the place closed for the day, Sean would take most of that money to the nearest orphanage or charity, and smile happily as he made quite the generous donation. It was wonderful! It was brilliant! It was perfect!
The boy kept grinning, being unable to hide his eagerness and excitement. "Thank you so much, Rowan! You're awesome!" With how happy he was, he could have just kissed her right then and there. Awfully tempting, too. Still, the boy could and had to show restrain. Focus! "I can see it now. A nice place for the community and people from all over to have a nice relaxing time. Ooh, and heroes and UA students can get meals at half the price, as thanks for their hard work. And same thing for doctors, police, firefighters..." Oh, how exciting it was to think about! He couldn't wait to call his mom and tell her of this genius idea Rowan came up with. She would undoubtedly be thrilled! And speaking of which... "And it's great, because I already know how to cook, thanks to mom. So all I gotta do is just get better, and..."
Okay, maybe it was time to slow down a bit. "Er, sorry about that. Got way too excited there." Not that Sean really cared about making a fool of himself in front of other people, but he would feel very bad if he just went on and on without giving Rowan the chance to even get any words in. So for now, it was time to shut up and listen to anything Rowan had to say. Because Sean could do that all day. Her voice was just so soothing and... Okay, stop that and focus!

She just described jobs that she knew, it would be a waste to set a happy person like Sean behind a desk, in a cubicle where only his colleagues would notice him when he gets coffee. No, he needed to be out there, she was sure that something like a tour guide or a receptionist was something for him. The last one she could work with, which was why she said it and maybe offer the suggestion to her father. She would maybe even see him more often, but that would already work if she managed to get him in her economic class on her free afternoon. But it would be bad if that distracted her too much, but she really wanted to pull Sean back in her life... so to say, the idea of studying together with Sean, as they did back in class because he sat next to her... god that was something that would be so nice. She did not know what to say, she would just bit her lip and smile as best as she could at Sean. But she shouldn't be so selfish, what more did she know?
The idea of a restaurant hit her mind and she tried to explain that. She looked at him with a blush on her face and just a very happy expression as he said her name twice... oh yea he also called her a genius, she blushed when she realized that. She was swooped up from her chair and hugged and she blushed and brushed her hair behind her ear and looked around a little shyly. "It helps to be often in a hotel where we have different facilities and jobs that have a need of people like you. So kind, so happy." So just... so just everything. But her smile was for his enthusiasm, it was really cute. She got even more heated in her face when he gave her another compliment. And she nodded, "That sounds nice." She laughed a little as he talked about all the discounts he would give, Sean was a great guy, wasn't he?
She couldn't help but laugh as he suddenly stopped and apologized. "Come on, let's go outside and see what you need!" She got up and put the last piece of her muffin in her mouth and took Sean's hand without thinking about it. "Let me buy you a Christmas gift for you to start with your great plan!" What would a new chef need?
