“I-I don’t know, it’s just… you looked after me when I first got to Japan, so…” Feeling just a hint of panic or something similar as she found her concern being questioned, Miss Crawford stumbled over her wording momentarily as her mate responded to her, and found a hint of worry within her that the unease she sensed in her friend was related to their trip as a whole.
“I thought the least I could do was look after you now, especially since this was my idea?” That perhaps being a little understandable, while the bubbly brit had proposed the idea to both her partner and her parents because she felt bad about leaving her blonde buddy all on her own over the holiday season she did understand that things had been a bit rushed and arranged rather hastily, and she could only wonder if the girl might have been regretting her spur of the moment decision to come along for the ride.

“Heeheehee, I suppose you did, but the trip took a lot out of me first time so…” At least managing to summon a smile as she recalled the instance a matter of hours before when she had felt her fellow femme slumping over in slumber to use the brunette’s shoulder as a pillow, Chloe couldn’t help but feel silently entertained as she recalled how cute and peaceful her pal had looked as she snoozed in that position, and how because of that she had made no effort to shift her somewhere else either.
“I didn’t want you feeling all groggy and grumpy and not be able to do something about it?” It actually quite the lovely little bonding experience from her perspective, though she had started the journey through the air with a nice book to read the breezy beauty had found the features of her friend far more fascinating ultimately, and had honestly been just a little bit glad that she hadn’t been ‘caught out’ staring at them when the girl had woken up. That felt like it would have been a bad thing, in retrospect.

“Oh good, then I’ll have to think of some wonderful things for us to do together~?” Finding herself almost lamenting the drink that she had between her fingers when Kanna confirmed the fact that she wanted to spend as much time with her as possible since she was denied the chance to clap her hands together excitedly at the prospect, despite this minor setback Miss Crawford still found her heart lifting up as she imagined the two of them hanging around back at the homestead, and felt her spirits lifting away any tiredness she might have been feeling because of it. There nothing quite like the chance to indulge a little fun with a friend to blow away the cobwebs of the mind, all too quickly the eager teen was fantasizing about what the two of them might get up to, and was feeling her delight bubbling up because of that.

“I wonder if it’s been snowing back home? We could build a snowman~” Perhaps what was most exciting about the chance to bring a friend home for Christmas the opportunity to share in some silliness and a few simple pleasures, though the interests of the girl might have seemed simple to some they were quite genuine, and sourced from earlier experiences. Growing up as an only child and perhaps more lonely than she might have let on because of it, the idea of having a girl at home with her flooded the fair femme with excitement, and made her feel like she would be sharing her season with a sister or something of a similarly intimate bond.

“Oh father, well… The sort of man he is…?” Still caught a little but off guard when Kanna asked about her father, however, though the bubbly brit was burgeoning with enthusiasm by this point, she struggled to tackle the question with any real degree of clarity or conviction.
“Hmmmm, you know I’ve never really thought about it, to tell you the truth?” In her mind the man that raised her simply that, while Miss Crawford knew a million things about him it was hard to define him in a manner other than as her dear old daddy, or at the very least achieve such an aim in any kind of clear and concise fashion…

“Ooooouuuuu~! Now I really hope it’s snowing there~!” The heart of the young heroine leaping as her blonde buddy mentioned building snowmen before, Chloe wasn’t sure why exactly but up until that moment she had never taken her friend for the sort who would do such a thing, and was elated at the news that she had.
“I can’t wait to see the sort of things you would build~?” A purveyor of snowy sculpture herself perhaps in part because it gave her another medium to explore aside from the air-based creations her quirk allowed, the rebellious and freethinking young woman next to her was sure to create more than a few marvels with her own endeavours in snowmaking, and the emerald eyed enchantress was eager to see what they were.

“Oh, I suppose so~?” Finding that she was still feeling just a little bit like she had let Kanna down when she failed to fully describe her father in detail despite the soft reception the revelation received from her classmate, the innocence of Miss Crawford showed once again when she found her dear old dad being called ‘great’, and realized she had no real measuring stick to compare the man against in that regard. Or at least no reason to criticize him or anything.

“Mum says I take after him a lot~?” Certainly feeling like she had no complaints in the way he had raised her and loving the most important man in her life whole-heartedly, in many ways the patriarch of the ‘princess’ was the kind of person who resembled her a lot, and they spent much of their childhood thick as thieves. Inheriting traits from both parents but that innate sense of curiosity and adventurous nature that the young angel possessed feeling more like they came from her father, Chloe was happy to have others compare her to him in a positive fashion, and while nobody was perfect as the stumped student found no reason to view him unfavourably she reckoned he might just be everything her friend seemed to guess he was.

“Hehehehehe, yeah~” Ultimately it not really going to be long until Kanna herself could made up her mind on what sort of person that her father was, as she was reminded of the fact that she would be able to see the man once again all too soon after being without him for so long, Miss Crawford couldn’t help but feel a sense of comfort and excitement.
“I’m sure he’s looking forward to meeting you, I’ve told them both so much about our time together?” The latter not merely because of her own meeting with her parents either, after having sent the duo so many messages and spoke to them so often about her time at UA and the blonde a big part of that, she was eager to see what they would make of her and what she would make of them. And hopefully, they would love each other as much as the bubbly brunette herself did…

“Oh definitely~” Smiling and squeezing her hands a bit tighter around the cup that she carried as her frosty fantasy turned to a toasty one, as Kanna seemed to imply the commonality between the daughter and the father of the Crawford family was something of an ‘in’ for her, the green eyed girl couldn’t help but agree and imagine them all playing happily together. It rather the sweet scene really, all too quickly the bubbly brit was picturing them all gathered around the fire in nice woolly jumpers with mugs of cocoa and marshmallows to brown, and the whole image was so delightful that it felt like quite the shame to miss out on really. Not that she really could see that happening, of course.

“You’ll be part of the family before you know it?” Almost certainly expecting both of her parents welcoming their houseguest with the most open of arms, they were not the sort of folk who tended to judge or shun others all that easily even on their worst day, and tended to trust the judgement of their daughter in regard to the friends she had made throughout her life. Supportive and nurturing but also providing her with room to breathe and make her own mistakes, though Chloe herself did not know fully how to describe her parents they probably were rather good ones given how she turned out, and likely would prove that to her and the young woman she had brought with her if given half a chance.

“Hm?” That tendency to reserve ones criticism and air on the side of optimism something that had been passed on rather heavily to the little girl they had raised, as her blonde buddy made a little crack about what lay beneath the thick and warm clothes that she wore, Miss Crawford found that she rather missed the point really because of this tendency.
“Oh yes, winter wear does look super cute, doesn’t it?” Instead more inclined toward believing that Kanna was talking about the benefits of her ensemble in terms of its bulky beauty, the emerald eyed enchantress really could not conceive of the idea that anyone would find the figures emblazoned upon the flesh of her fellow femme a bad thing, and certainly would never assume her parents would either for that matter.

“Oh just about the stuff we did, and how clever and pretty you are…” The honey minded host finding herself smiling again when she was probed onto the matter of what she had said about her friend and all too eager to relay the details as she recalled them, though Chloe tended to rattle off details to people she was so very comfortable with like her parents in such a manner that she did not recall them fully, she could well imagine the sort of things she might ‘spew’ to the folk who raised her and spoke of them rather unabashedly.
“Oh and how much you take care of me too?” Only too happy to speak of a person she liked and mum and dad all too good at getting her going, there seemed no real reason for her to hold herself back in this regard, or the next that would come up too quickly as well.

“Oh, he’s here!” In fact finding herself rather eager to see the range rover that acted as the large and ‘humble’ vehicle of her family rolling up toward them in the distance, the eagle emerald coloured eyes of the enchantress locked onto its shape only a moment after Miss Crawford had finished conveying the details of her description to Kanna, and all too soon the girl was hopping onto her toes like an excited child as her daddy drew nearer and nearer to her.
“Helloooo~!” Waving as well as she did so, the bubbly brunette began to bob as she tried to grab the attention of the man behind the wheel and called out in greeting all too eagerly as the large and shiny vehicle came to a halt in front of her before beckoning her blonde buddy over, eager to have the man at the wheel properly meet the girl she had come to adore so very much in the space of a few short months…

“Oh gosh, don’t say that…” Raising her hand to her mouth playfully and then smiling as she showed off the meagre skills she had developed as a so called ‘wise guy’ whilst in the company of her comrade, though Chloe chose this to be playful, she hoped it wouldn’t undercut the sentiment beneath it in any way.
“I’d be lost without you in my life, Kanna~” Batting her lashes a couple of times and showing off far more sincerity as she held her green gaze upon that of the girl next to her, the buoyant brit was not lying when she said that by this point she found her friend pretty much irreplaceable by this point, and if she was asked would honestly have confessed a desire to find their connection deepening over time rather than drifting apart.

“Gracious, I’m so sorry I’m late ladies, the twenty-five was abysmal…” Not given much more time to really offer sweet sentiment with just the two of them as the man of the house stepped out of his car with an apologetic smile and a hand brushing backward through his hair, the face of Miss Crawford lit up as she saw her father for the first time in months, and all too quickly she was lunging forward into the road without a single ounce of regard to traffic to throw her arms around her daddy like a giddy little girl. Papa C taking this in his stride however, and only half bowled over by the attempt of the brunette, as he secured his footing the man waddled toward the blonde that had appeared with his daughter tucked under one arm and his other stretched out to shake the hand of the girl that greeted him.

“Oh goodness, hello there~” A hint flustered by the second femme that he found and that showing in the colour that rushed to his cheeks and the slightly bumbling manner in which he expressed himself, Chloe’s proud papa was nothing if not hospitable and though he gave the young woman a quick once over visually he offered out his hand without reservation to her, as well as a smile and overall friendly bearing.
“Good golly, Princess, you said she was a looker but this is something else~” Clearly quite taken aback by the young woman he had found waiting with his daughter and noting that to the girl who was nestled under his wing, much like emerald eyed lass he was holding close to him the man was impressed by what he saw, though rather more articulate in expressing this fact.

“Oliver Crawford, it’s certainly a pleasure, Miss Kusanagi…” A little more adept at overcoming his moments of awe and anxiety as well, after giving a proper greeting to the girl that his daughter had brought home the man was already peeling his little girl off his body and picking up the cases of both little women that had come to visit, and without a single second thought in doing so as well.
“So you're the young lady that I have to thank for looking after my little girl?” The attention of the man lingering on the gal who would act as his guest throughout, however, as he secured the baggage of the brunette and then the blonde in turn he would make sure to chat with the new face in his life, obviously curious about her and the blossoming connection she had with his precious ‘Princess’…

She seems a little stiff? The green gaze of a delighted daughter seeming to catch more than it might let on as her father made his acquaintance with the friend she had brought with her, Miss Crawford couldn’t help but smile a little as she noted the way that Kanna seemed to be putting on a few more airs and graces than she had grown accustomed to during their time together in response, and lifted her hand up to conceal that fact a little bit.
I doubt Papa would mind if she acted more like herself? It definitely rather amusing to see the surly but sweet girl showing some manners but ultimately it seeming to the bubbly brunette like maybe her beloved blonde buddy was trying a little too hard or something, though she would not call her classmate out on the mild difference that she showed in her behaviour, the breezy beauty hoped that she did not keep it up for too long. Her folks were down to earth people, after all.

“Oh please, Oliver, or even Ollie is fine!” This perhaps never more true as the man waved away any notion of the blonde referring to him in such a formal fashion, though the man of the house showed a clear sense of delight and warmth as he greeted the girl who he had heard so much about, the one thing he did not welcome was such a stuffy approach.
“There’s no need to stand on ceremony here, you’re practically part of the family by this point!” Certainly rather appreciative of the actions of the Japanese lass regardless of how much she tried to downplay her role in helping his daughter go about her day, he was all too quickly reflecting that gratitude in the gentle and loving manner in which he dealt with someone who should have been a stranger to him, and yet felt so very much closer to his heart than any new face in his life had for a long time.

“Oh, nonsense, nonsense, my dear…” Even going as far as to brush away any notion of letting the blonde lug her own case around in a display of a bit of old fashioned chivalry, despite the efforts of Kanna to carry her own baggage to the boot end of his big car, she would soon find herself relieved of the effort by a rather insistent pair of hands.
“You’ve been out in the cold, so hop into the car while I handle this~!” Most assuredly looking to take care of both girls evenly and his daughter even shooting a little roll of her eyes toward her classmate to try and tell her to ‘let him do his thing’ should the battle for best luggage carrier continue, once the matter was settled and their items were stowed securely both man and child would slip into the comfort of the luxury car the man possessed, and the nice warmed seats that were waiting for them as well…

“We’re almost there princess~”

“Mmmmnnnn…” The sound of soft words that were just loud enough echoing in the ears of Chloe Crawford and rousing her from the sleep she had slipped into during the journey home, a groan escaped the lips of the lady as her green gaze revealed itself slowly, and began to scan around her surroundings. A bit dazed at first due to the depth of a nap that she had no idea how long it had been going on for, her emerald eyed were guarded by lids that were open only just a fraction as she took in her surroundings, and remembered the fact that she had been travelling in the car with her daddy on the way home for Christmas.

“H-Hey…” Half curled up upon the back seat of their large family car, it did not take long for her focus to fall upon the face of the fellow femme with whom she was travelling, perhaps it was because she was half asleep but regardless of how dry her sleep had made her mouth Miss Crawford offered a meek little greeting to the girl she arrived with, and let her vision linger on what she could see of those fine features for a second or two as she allowed herself to wake up. There something soothing and fascinating about the image of Kanna Kusanagi, even though she didn’t know what her friend had been up to whilst she had been catching up on her sleep it was still comforting to note her nearby in this moment of sleepy sluggishness, but that would not last long.

“Oh gosh!” The heavy lidded stare that was sent toward the siren she shared her car with drifting just a little ways to look out of the window, after a moment of confusion at seeing everything outside look white Chloe found her eyes widening and mind waking up almost in an instant as she recognised the steady fall of flakes from the sky, and began to feel herself being flooded with excitement because of it.
“I-It really is snowing?!” All too quickly the mood of the brunette going from soft sleepiness to something rather more flooded with energy, the bubbly Brit bounced into an upright position and blinked as she looked from one window to the next to see the same image repeated in each of them as snow swept over the landscape, and saturated this particular young woman with a sense of energy that even a nap could not hope to match…
